Abstract

The ability to understand concepts is highly needed to master each topic in mathematics, which is systematic, rational, and structured through interrelated subtopics. The purpose of this study is to improve students’ knowledge of basic mathematical principles on the topics of squares and rectangles by applying a cooperative learning model based on TAI (Team Assisted Individualization) during learning activities in class VII-3 at SMP Negeri 1 Tilongkabila in the even semester of the 2024/2025 academic year, with a total of 26 students. Data collection procedures were carried out using measurement instruments in the form of observation sheets for teacher activities, observation sheets for student activities, and tests of students’ skills in understanding basic mathematical principles. The type of research used was Classroom Action Research (CAR) with four main stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The findings indicate that implementing classroom action in two cycles using the TAI approach can improve students’ conceptual understanding in mathematics, as shown by increased teacher and student activities and improved completeness in students’ skill test results.

Abstract

Penelitian Ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran berbantuan website google sites dengan hasil belajar siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran powerpoint. Metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah posttest only control group design. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik simple sampling random, sampel yang digunakan berjumlah 2 kelas. Berdasarkan hasil pengambilan, kelas VII-4 terpilih sebagai kelas eksperimen yang dibelajarkan menggunakan media berbantuan website google sites sedangkan kelas VII-1 sebagai kelas yang dibelajarkan menggunakan media powerpoint. Instrumen pada penelitian ini menggunakan tes hasil belajar yang berbentuk uraian/essay. Pengujian hipotesis dengan menggunakan uji-t yang menghasilkan thitung = 4,637, setelah dibandingkan dengan ttabel = t0,95:48 = 2,0106. Diperoleh thitung> ttabel yaitu 4,637 > 2,0106, maka H0 ditolak. Hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran berbantuan website google sites dan hasil belajar siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran powerpoint

Abstract

This study aims to improve students’ mathematics learning outcomes on trigonometry material through the use of trigonometric finger teaching aids. The study employed a classroom action research approach conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Kabila in the 2024/2025 academic year. The research subjects were 38 students of class X-9. The research was carried out in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. Data were collected through learning outcome tests and observations of teacher and student activities. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive quantitative techniques based on percentages. The results showed an increase in students’ learning mastery from 36.8% in Cycle I to 81.6% in Cycle II. Teacher and student activities also improved and reached very good criteria. These findings indicate that trigonometric finger teaching aids are effective in improving students’ learning outcomes in trigonometry.

Abstract

This study is a research and development study aimed at producing a learning media based on Visual Basic for Application (VBA) in Microsoft PowerPoint for the topic of exponents. The research was conducted in the first semester of the 2024/2025 academic year at MTs. Al-Khairaat Gorontalo City, involving 20 students of class VIII D as the trial participants. The development process followed the ADDIE model, which consists of the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The results indicate that the developed learning media meets the criteria of validity and practicality. Based on validation by six validators, the average validity score of the media was 3.34 and the material validity score was 3.17, both categorized as valid. Furthermore, the practicality test showed that the percentage of student responses was 87.88% and the teacher response was 100%, both categorized as very practical. Therefore, the VBA-based learning media in PowerPoint is considered feasible and appropriate for use in teaching the topic of exponents.
