Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of bakboy games on the basketball passing skills of 11th grade students at Grabagan 1 Public High School. Based on the results of field observations, the research problem stems from the low level of students' skills in accurate passing. This study used a pre-experiment with a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The research sample consisted of 36 students selected using purposive sampling. The research instrument was a ball throwing and catching (passing) test. The treatment was carried out over 6 meetings through the application of the bakboy game, which trains hand-eye coordination, arm muscle power, and movement coordination. The results of the analysis showed an increase in the average score for each passing skill from 48.33 for chest passes, 48.61 for bounce passes, and 48.47 for overhead passes in the pretest to 59.72 for chest passes, 59.72 for bounce passes, and 59.58 for overhead passes in the posttest. The normality test showed that the data was normally distributed, while the t-test (Paired Sample T-Test) results obtained chest pass, bounce pass, and overhead pass Sig. (2-tailed) < 0.05 values, which means there was a significant difference between the pretest and posttest results. The findings indicate that the bakboy game is effective in improving ball passing skills. Conclusion, physical education teachers are encouraged to utilize traditional games as an alternative learning strategy that is engaging, contextual, and incorporates local cultural values. Abstract

Instruction on inside foot passing in soccer at the junior high school level is often less than optimal due to students' low sensitivity (ball feeling) to the ball and the lack of variety in the instructional models used. This study aims to analyze the effect of applying the ball feeling learning model on improving inner foot passing skills in junior high school students. The study used a pre-experimental method with a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The sample consisted of 30 seventh-grade students from SMP Negeri 1 Sumberrejo. The research instrument was a low passing test toward the target. The data were analyzed statistically using the Paired Sample t-test and effect size calculation (Cohen's d) with the help of SPSS 25. The results showed a significant increase in students' passing ability, with a pretest average score of 5.97 increasing to 7.40 on the posttest (p = 0.000). The effect size obtained was 0.816, which is classified as a large effect, indicating a strong practical impact of the intervention. The ball feeling learning model proved to be effective and had a significant influence on improving students' inner foot passing skills in soccer. These findings recommend the integration of the ball feeling approach in teaching basic soccer techniques in junior high schools.

Abstract

Pencak silat, as a cultural heritage and traditional sport of Indonesia, holds high cultural, spiritual, and physical skill values. One of the promising technologies in the 5.0 era to be applied in supporting the Independent Curriculum is Mixed Reality (MR). This research aims to develop and test the application of MR technology in the learning of pencak silat to support the Independent Curriculum in the 5.0 era. Using the Research and Development (R&D) method, this study goes through several stages, including needs analysis, product development, product design, development, implementation, and finally evaluation. The developed MR application allows students to learn the movements of pencak silat virtually in an interactive environment. The research results indicate a significant improvement in students' abilities. The average pretest score of 60.35 increased to 85.45 on the posttest after the use of the MR application, demonstrating an enhancement in students' understanding and skills. In addition, the results of the validation tests by material and media experts are both in the "Very Good" category, indicating that this MR application is suitable for use in learning. This technology also supports more flexible learning in accordance with the principles of the Independent Curriculum, which emphasizes differentiated learning, although there are challenges regarding infrastructure readiness and teacher training.
