Abstract

ABSTRACT Hotel is a type of business selling services. A hotel has a department that plays an important role in its operations. One such department is the pastry department. The purpose of this study was to determine the duties and responsibilities of a pastry cook in processing panna cotta in Travello Hotel Bandung, to improve skills in the world of work in the pastry field. In processing the data, the author uses descriptive qualitative research methods. Data collection techniques used in this study is to conduct observations, interviews, documentation, and literature study. The results of this study are duties and responsibilities of the pastry cook at Travello Hotel are good and in accordance with standard operational procedures but further improved communication between staff. Pastry tools are used according to their uses. Pana cotta processing is the same as making pudding, adding gelatine to pana cotta makes the texture of panna cotta soft, panna cotta can be varied with various flavors and toppings. Abstract

Di Indonesia, kuliner khas Korea berkembang pesat seiring melesatnya minat terhadap budaya Korea. Banyak masyarakat Indonesia yang melakukan segala bentuk inovasi dalam pembuatan kuliner khas Korea. Salah satunya adalah penambahan bahan dasar masakan dengan daging ayam. Proses menginovasi daging ayam menjadi bahan dasar pada pembuatan satu set lunch box (dosirak) ala Korea masih belum dikenal. Umumnya masyarakat Korea menggunakan bahan tidak halal sebagai bahan dasar membuat masakan. Tanpa mengurangi citra khas Korea, makanan ini dibuat sesuai dengan rasa masakan Indonesia. Selain unik dan menarik, objek yang diteliti ini juga masih jarang ditemukan di Indonesia khususnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yaitu metode dengan cara meriset yang bersifat deskriptif dan berfokus pada suatu objek, menganalisis, mengacu pada data, memanfaatkan teori yang ada, serta menghasilkan suatu teori. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan, bahwa mengganti bahan dasar daging tidak merubah cita rasa produk. Melainkan menimbulkan rasa baru dan dapat sesuai dengan cita rasa khalayak luas khususnya di Indonesia.

Abstract

Dyslipidemia is a risk factor for Non Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease causing hepatocyte damage. Bee pollen has hypolipodemic, anti-inflammatory effects. The purpose of the study was to analyze the effects of Bee Pollen on the levels of SGOT, SGPT, and its effects on the liver’s histopathologic. The experimental laboratory research method, 30 rats divided into 6 groups (n = 5). HFD was given for 28 days, Simvastatin and Bee Pollen were given from 15 until 28 days. SGOT, SGPT were examined at 0, 15, 29 days by spectrophotometry (340 nm). Histopathological liver examination at 29 days. Results: The levels of SGOT, SGPT between Bee pollen 1 (18 mg/kgBW/day), 2 (36 mg /kgBW/day), 3 (72 mg /kgBW/day) with HFD were very significant differences. The levels of SGOT Bee Pollen 1,2,3 compared to simvastatin were not significantly different. SGPT Bee Pollen 3 levels compared to simvastatin there were no significant differences. Measurement of the degree of cloudy swollen cells, portal inflammation, bridging fibrosis, periportal fibrosis between Bee Pollen 1, 2 with HFD there is a significant difference, Bee Pollen 3 and HFD differ very significantly. Conclusion: Bee Pollen can reduce levels of SGOT, SGPT, its potential effects is equivalent to simvastatin on reducing levels of SGOT, SGPT and improved the histopathological image of the liver on male rats wistar induced by high-fat diet. . Abstract

Pada penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh faktor-faktor yaitu profitability, liquidity, asset structure dan firm size terhadap struktur modal pada perusahaan sub sektor hotel, restoran dan pariwisata yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia periode 2013 – 2017. Model yang digunakan dalam pemilihan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling. Total sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 13 perusahaan. Program olah data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Eviews versi 9. Hubungan antara variabel dijelaskan dengan menggunakan metode regresi data panel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara simultan variabel profitability, liquidity, asset structure dan firm size berpengaruh signifikan terhadap struktur modal. Sedangkan secara parsial, variabel firm size berpengaruh signifikan terhadap struktur modal, sedangkan variabel profitability, liquidity dan asset structure tidak berpengaruh terhadap struktur modal.

Abstract

Parenting parents is very important for children to provide encouragement or motivation in learning. With parenting a good influence for children, although many types of parenting applied parents’ of children dependent parents’ upbringing is applied parents to children.. The purpose in this research want to know whether there is any correlation between Parenting Parents’ and Students Motivation in learning English on43rd Semester at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) University Batanghari Jambi Academic Year 2016/2017.This research is quantitative research. The population of the research is 60 students and the samples are 30 students. The data collected by questionnaire.Then, Questionnaire used Scale likert with data ordinal. The result of data questionnaire parenting the parents' highest obtained amount is 60 parents. This research, there are validity and reliability namely, validity used content validity with statement positive and negative of questionnaire and reliability the used internal consistency with formula Cronbach Alpha and correlated by used Spermant Rank correlation formula with SPPS Statistic 20. The correlation between parenting parents; and students motivation retrieved value 0,000 ˂ real level 0.025, so is mean Ho is rejected or Hi is accepted , so have correlation between parenting parents and students motivation learning English on 4rd semester at the Faculty of teacher training and education (FKIP) Batanghari University Academic Year 2016/2017. Abstract

This research was done aimed at investigating if audio visual as a media more effect for the students skill in writing procedure text. The method of this research is quantitative. The population of the research is the eighth grade students of SMPN 5Kota Jambi. The researcher takes two classes of the eighth grade students as the sample from this research which were divided into two groups; experimental group (XIII A) and control group (XIII B). The XIIIA was taught by using Audio Visual as a media, while the XIII B was taught without Audio Visual as media. The instruments of collecting data are test: pre-test and post-test. To analyze the data, the researcher used experimental design. The mean in control class of pre test is 71,66 and mean post test 75,66. The mean in experimental class of pre test is 74,33 and the mean post test is 84,83. Based on the calculation of the statistical analysis, it is found that the value of t-test was 4,05 is higher than the value of t-table 1,69 at the degree freedom (df 30-1) = 29 and the level of confidence 0,05 with for that reason, the alternative hypothesis is accepted, the researcher could interpret that it was significantly effective to improve students writing procedure text using Audio Visual in SMPN 5 Kota  Jambi.           Keywords: Writing, Procedure text, Audio Visual.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the phenomenon of hedonism among recipients of the Kartu Indonesia Pintar Kuliah (KIPK) scholarship from a new socio-economic perspective. Using a qualitative approach with in-depth interview methods, this study was conducted at Universitas Negeri Jakarta in May 2024. A total of 8 students, both KIPK recipients and non-recipients, were purposively selected as informants. Data collection techniques were carried out through face-to-face interviews or communication media using structured interview guidelines. The data obtained were then thematically analyzed to identify patterns, differences, and key factors influencing the hedonism phenomenon among KIPK recipients. The research results reveal that social pressure, campus environment, social media, ineffective financial management, and lack of financial education are the main driving factors of consumptive behavior among KIPK scholarship recipients. The findings also identify negative impacts such as misuse of funds, social jealousy, and misalignment in the implementation of the scholarship program. This research provides important insights to enhance the effectiveness of financial aid programs through a more holistic and sustainable approach.

Abstract

This article aims to explain how sociology plays a role in building the character of students. Sociology is a social science that studies facts, norms, and social deviations, which are the main factors in the process of shaping the character of students. This research utilizes a qualitative approach with the research method of literature review, and the data for the study are sourced from literature, journals, and books. In this method, all the obtained data will be analyzed to draw conclusions. The results of this research will indicate that Educational Sociology, as a branch of sociology, plays a significant role in shaping the character of students in schools.

Abstract

Generation Z is increasingly using social media to communicate, share experiences and connect with others. However, there are concerns that excessive or unhealthy use of social media can negatively impact mental health. This study aims to find out how social media impacts mental health. This study uses interview techniques, 3 Generation Z people were selected as samples to measure the level of social media use and how it can impact their mental health. based on the research conducted, social media is very impactful on the mental health of Gen Z both positively and negatively. the negatives are anxiety when unable to access social media, difficulty focusing, stress, insecurity which can trigger disruption of mental health. as for the positive side is positive interaction on social media.
