Abstract

Prevalensi anemia di kalangan remaja putri di Asia Tenggara dikategorikan sebagai situasi serius dengan angka lebih dari 40 persen. Remaja, terutama yang berjenis kelamin perempuan, merupakan kelompok yang sangat rentan terhadap kondisi anemia, disebabkan oleh menstruasi yang menyebabkan kehilangan besi yang signifikan. Remaja perempuan yang berada dalam kondisi sehat dan bebas dari anemia akan tumbuh menjadi calon ibu yang sehat dan melahirkan anak-anak yang juga sehat, sehingga inisiatif ini mendukung program 1000 hari pertama kehidupan. Remaja perempuan memiliki kemungkinan menderita anemia sepuluh kali lebih tinggi dibandingkan remaja laki-laki, karena mereka mengalami menstruasi setiap bulan dan berada dalam fase pertumbuhan yang membutuhkan lebih banyak asupan zat besi. Edukasi mengenai penanganan anemia di kalangan remaja perempuan bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman dan pengetahuan tentang anemia serta konsekuensi yang dihadapi. Target dari kegiatan ini adalah remaja putri di SMA Negeri 5 Kota Padang. Edukasi dilakukan melalui penyuluhan langsung dan diskusi dalam kelas. Diharapkan peserta dapat lebih memahami dan menyadari pentingnya pencegahan anemia di kalangan remaja perempuan.

Abstract

Introduction: Preventive efforts in health development is by implementing an immunization program. In Padang City, the coverage of complete basic immunization is at 69.2% and the coverage of DPT-HB-HiB3 immunization is the lowest, namely 66.1%. Objective: the aim of this study was to determine the relationship between adverse events following DPT-HB-HiB immunization and maternal knowledge with maternal motivation for DPT-HB-HiB3 immunization. Method: This study uses a quantative research design with a cross-sectional approach. The study was conducted at the Alai Health Care from January to February 2025. The population in this study were mothers who had children aged 2 to 4 months. The sampling technique used purposive sampling with total 50 people. Data analysis was done univariately and bivariate using the chi square test. Result and Discussion: more than half (66%) respondents were experienced AEFI, more than half (76%) respondents were good knowledge, and more than half (70%) respondents were motivated to DPT-HB-HiB immunization. There, relationship between AEFI and maternal knowledge with maternal motivation to DPT-HB-HiB3. Conclusions: Respondents motivated because of the mother's experience in dealing with AEFI and the mother's knowledge about immunization, so that this knowledge can also motivate mothers to continue providing DPT-HB-HiB3 immunization to their children.

Abstract

Introduction: The process of pregnancy and childbirth, is estimated to be 85% normal and only 15% experience complications. Pregnant women with high self-efficacy are more confident in managing blood pressure, following the recommended diet, and complying with routine health check-up schedules, on the other hand pregnant women with low self-efficacy will experience stress, give up easily and do not believe in their abilities. Objective: The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between self-efficacy and self-care management in pregnant women approaching childbirth. Method: This study uses a quantitative research design with a cross-sectional approach. The population in this study were pregnant women in the third trimester. The sampling technique used purposive sampling with a total of 37 people. Data were collected through questionnaires. Data analysis was done univariately and bivariate using the chi-square test. Result and Discussion: Less than half of respondents (37.8%) Self-Care Management is lacking, more than half (62.2%) self-efficacy is certain, there is a relationship between Self Efficacy and Self Care Management in pregnant women approaching pregnancy at the Alai Health Center, Padang City in 2025 Conclusions: Self-efficacy plays an important role in self-care management in pregnant women approaching childbirth. Increasing self-efficacy can be an effective strategy to support maternal and infant health.

Abstract

Introduction: Stunting is a health problem that is often found in developing countries, including Indonesia. Many factors can cause high rates of stunting in toddlers. This stunting problem certainly not only affects children's growth but also their development. Objective: The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between stunting and malnutrition Toddler Development Aged 24-59 Months at Alai Health Center, Padang City Method: he research design used is quantitative with a cross-sectional approach which aims to describe the relationship between stunting and malnutrition with the development of toddlers aged 24-59 months in the Alai Health Center area, Padang City in 2024. Result and Discussion: The results of the study showed that out of 46 respondents with malnutrition status and abnormal development, there were 31 children (46.9%) with questionable development, there were 6 children (23%), while those with normal malnutrition with abnormal development were 2 children (3.1%) and those with questionable development were 7 children (27%). Based on the statistical test or Fisher's Excat Test, the p value was obtained 0.001. Conclusions: Researchers' efforts as health workers should increase mothers and families' awareness of the importance of toddler growth and development and the foods that should be consumed, especially those related to providing complementary foods to breast milk for babies.
