Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the singing method in language learning and the supporting and inhibiting factors of applying the singing method in English language learning on the memory of first-grade students in the 2024/2025 academic year. The research was conducted at SD Islam Integrasi Muslim Madani, Gubuk Baru Tanjung, involving 25 first-grade students in the second semester of the 2024/2025 academic year. This study is qualitative research, with data obtained from observations, interviews, and documentation. This research discusses the implementation of the singing method in English language learning to enhance the memory of first-grade students at SDII Muslim Madani, as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors influencing it. The results indicate that the singing method is highly effective in improving students’ memory, learning motivation, and English proficiency, particularly through structured steps such as material preparation, song repetition, the use of visual media, and active student engagement. Support from the school, availability of facilities, and the creative role of teachers are key factors in the success of this method. Meanwhile, challenges include time constraints, inadequate audio facilities, and varying student interests and abilities. However, these obstacles can be overcome with appropriate strategies, such as forming small groups and utilizing personal devices. Overall, the singing method is a fun and effective learning strategy for enhancing English language skills at the elementary education level.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran sekolah dalam pendidikan mitigasi bencana, kendala-kendala yang di hadapi dalam implementasi mitigasi bencana dan juga dampak dalam implementasi Pendidikan mitigasi bencana. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kualitatif deskriptif, Teknik penelitian yang di gunakan di dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Informasi yang di kumpulkan adalah berasal dari kepala sekolah, guru kelas dan siswa di SDN 4 Santong. Teknik analisis data yang di gunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah melalui beberapa tahap di antaranya 1) pembatasan kajian penelitian. 2) mengembangkan pertanyaan. 3) perencanaan tahap pengumpulan data dan memperhatikan hasil pengamatan sebelumnya. 4) mengecek kembali data yang di kumpulkan. 5) menata secara sistematis catatan hasil observasi dan wawancara. 6) mendeskripsikan dan menguraikan dari semua data yakni observasi dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa peran sekolah dalam Pendidikan mitigasi bencana sebagai fasilitator yaitu menyiapkan atau memfasilitasi guru dan siswa dalam implementasi Pendidikan mitigasi bencana, baik dari segi mitigasi struktural maupun mitigasi non stuktural. Memfasilitasi perencanaan Latihan, pelatihan dan simulasi serta sosialisasi terhadap bahaya gempa bumi. Sekolah dasar 4 Santong dalam implementasi mitigasi bencana mendapatkan kendala biaya dan sumber daya finansial, kurangnya pengetahuan dan ketrampilan dalam mitigasi bencana, kurangnya fasilitas mitigasi bencana dan kurangnya koordinasi dengan pihak dinas terkait mitigasi bencana. Dampak positif dari implementasi mitigasi bencana yaitu kesadaran yang meningkat, kesiapan dan tanggap darurat, memperkuat komunitas sekolah. Sedangkan dampak negative dari implementasi mitigasi bencana di sekolah adalah biaya dan sumber daya, resiko kesalahan dalam implemetasi, perasaan takut dan kecemasan pada saat simulasi serta gangguan terhadap kurikulum sekolah.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the planning, implementation and impact of the jigsaw type cooperative learning model on class V arts and culture subjects at SDN 1 Gumantar. The research subjects were the principal and teachers of arts and culture subjects. The research instruments are in the form of observation guidelines, interview guidelines and documentation guidelines that measure planning, implementation and impacts produced using the jigsaw type cooperative learning model in arts and culture subjects. Data collection techniques in this research used observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques are carried out using Data Reduction, Data Display (data presentation), Conclusion Drawing/Verification (drawing conclusions and verifying). There are various kinds of learning models that can be implemented in a learning activity. One of them is the jigsaw type cooperative learning model which is a learning model where students can learn to collaborate, work together and be responsible for understanding certain material and conveying it to their group friends. So that when implementing the jigsaw type cooperative learning model in arts and culture subjects, learning activities can indirectly foster the value of student cooperation. The objectives of this research are as follows: 1) to describe the planning of the jigsaw type cooperative learning model in arts and culture subjects, 2) to describe the jigsaw type cooperative learning model in arts and culture subjects, 3) to describe the impact of the jigsaw type cooperative learning model on The 11th unit of visual arts material culture lesson is making works of art from recycled household waste materials.
