Abstract

Moodle virtual learning transformed the implementation of online English education. This Learning Management System (LMS) was the most accepted in Higher Education in Indonesia. The qualitative study investigates and determines the integration of Moodle features on interactive and collaborative English teaching approaches. Case studies practice various qualitative research approaches for 43 language lecturers as the respondent. Illustrative case studies assisted essentially in obtaining the unknown common and providing pedagogical members with a specific language regarding the subject in the problem. The result exposed the opportunity to implement an interactive and collaborative teaching approach in the English language educational process. The availability of Moodle features is concerned with the activities and resources main feature in Moodle. The interactive Moodle feature involved assignments, lessons, quizzes, and surveys. English language learners who engage in interactive online learning experiences are compelled to participate in their education. Involving them in the English language online education process is critical to their achievement. In the meantime, Collaborative Moodle features involved chat, forum, glossary, and wiki. These fundamental features were revealed to help English lecturers establish the learner-centered English pedagogy mode as course designers. Integrating collaborative activities into online courses improves performance outcomes for English language learners. The Moodle virtual English online pedagogy would be the proper system to accommodate and facilitate education in Higher Education. English lecturers as course designers and instructors needed to be aware of the improvement of virtual media and made enhancement English language learners

Abstract

Kegiatan abdimas ini bertujuan untuk memberikan wawasan dan pengetahuan mengenai pembuatan surat formal sehingga dapat menghasilkan isi surat formal jelas dan koheren dengan pengembangan, organisasi, dan gaya yang sesuai dengan tugas. Disamping itu, pembuatan dan pengelolaan Mail Merge diperlukan bagi siswa siswi SMK Triguna 1956 untuk memahami proses pembuatan surat masal di Microsoft Word. Rangkaian kegiatan ini meliputi tahapan persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Pemilihan metode kegiatan ini adalah ceramah dan praktik. Hasil kegiatan ini adalah peningkatan pengetahuan dan pemahaman bidang teknologi informasi dan bahasa Inggris kepada para siswa-siswi SMK Triguna 1956. Peserta memahami prosedur dan strategi penulisan surat formal dalam bahasa Inggris mengenai alamat (pengirim/penerima), tanggal, salam, subjek, isi teks & akhir. Sementara itu, peserta mengetahui perbedaan dan penulisan surat bisnis, surat pengunduran diri, surat resmi, surat undangan, surat keterangan, surat bisnis, dan surat undangan. Pelaksanaan pelatihan, persentase tertinggi pada kategori sangat efektif mencapai 72%. kinerja pelatihan mencakup nilai tertinggi dalam kategori sesuai mencapai 79%. Terdapat 41% responden yang memberikan pendapat sangat setuju bahwa kegiatan ini dilakukan kembali. Peningkatan kemampuan membuat Mail Merge bagi peserta meliputi dokumen utama, sumber data, dan dokumen penggabungan. Kemampuan literasi komputer dapat membantu siswa siswi SMK Triguna 1956 menghadapi tantangan dunia pekerjaan, sehingga pekerjaan mereka dapat menyelesaikan pekerjaan dengan efektif dan efesien. Kefasihan komunikasi tertulis berbahasa Inggris mampu memberikan peluang dan kesempatan lain dalam bekerja dengan lingkungan global.

Abstract

Komputer seluler secara bertahap diperkenalkan ke dalam konteks pendidikan selama dua dekade terakhir. Google kelas dapat meningkatkan penggunaan ponsel pintar dan pelaksanaan pemebalajaran bahasa inggris melalui ponsel pintar. Prioritas masalah pengabdian ini adalah penghuni dan pengasuh panti asuhan memiliki keterbatasan pengetahuan google kelas dalam menggunakan ponsel pintar sebagai media tambahan mencari referensi digital, melatih kemampuan berbahasa Inggris, dan mengelola literasi digital. Kegiatan ini bermitra dengan dosen Akademi Sekretari Budi Luhur dan menerapkan pendekatan kemitraan melalui pelatihan dan pendampingan. Hasil kegiatan mengungkapkan peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan penggunaan Google Kelas ponsel pintar dalam aspek pendidikan. Hasil pengabdian ini adalah daftar aplikasi penunjang pendiidikan tingkat sekolah dasar sampai dengan perguruan tinggi. Selain itu, ada ruang khusus pemanfaatan media (e-mail, chat, translate) pesan singkat sebagai fitur dasar dalam melatih bahasa Inggris praktis. Keseluruhan kegiatan dilaksanakan dengan kelas virtual secara aktif dan produktif sebagai pendampingan melalui grup virtual pesan singkat dan kelas google.

Abstract

Perusahaan startup di Indonesia harus dapat mengatasi tantangan dalam mengelola bisnis mereka, termasuk dalam hal penerjemahan dokumen administrasi. Namun, tantangan budaya dan bahasa yang berbeda dapat menyebabkan kesalahan dan masalah komunikasi yang dapat memengaruhi kinerja bisnis. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi strategi penerjemahan dokumen administrasi yang efektif dan efisien bagi perusahaan startup di Indonesia, serta mempertimbangkan konteks budaya dan bahasa yang berbeda dalam proses penerjemahan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan studi kasus pada perusahaan startup XYZ di Indonesia. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dengan karyawan, serta melalui analisis dokumen administrasi yang telah diterjemahkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perusahaan startup XYZ menggunakan strategi penerjemahan dokumen administrasi yang efektif dengan mengandalkan layanan penerjemah profesional dan software penerjemah yang terkini. Selain itu, perusahaan juga memperhatikan konteks budaya dan bahasa yang berbeda dengan mencari informasi terkini mengenai bahasa dan budaya di negara target. Perusahaan juga memastikan bahwa penerjemah yang mereka gunakan memiliki pengalaman dan keahlian di bidang bisnis. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kualitas penerjemahan dokumen administrasi sangat penting untuk kinerja bisnis perusahaan startup di pasar global. Kesalahan dalam penerjemahan dokumen administrasi dapat menyebabkan kesulitan dalam komunikasi, ketidaksepakatan antara perusahaan dan mitra bisnis, serta potensi masalah hukum. Oleh karena itu, perusahaan startup di Indonesia harus memperhatikan strategi penerjemahan dokumen administrasi yang efektif dan efisien untuk memastikan kesuksesan mereka di pasar global

Abstract

Integrating English learning content enhance complexity and unconventional demands challenge lecturers in Higher Education. The study investigates and determines an English learning course design through Moodle, the most suitable approach that develops an online environment’s essential language learners’ accomplishment outcomes. The study was conducted with the qualitative approach with a case study research design. The thirty-eight lecturers generate as respondents from Higher Education in the Jakarta area. The result has found that Moodle could implement the demands-complexity of English language learning in the electronic ecosystem. The English course should have obtained attention or engagement with familiarize, encourage, fulfill, evaluate, and understand actual content material integrated Moodle feature.  The Moodle-based designer must develop topological technologies to request the particular necessities of learners needs. Moodle is not fundamentally constructed as a mechanism concerning language learning, and it should have been noticed that the electronic model was not a flawless online learning system for the English educational process. Nonetheless, it presents various resources and excellent learning designs. It frequently engaged learners’ and lecturers’ adverse responses to the acquiring of English as a foreign language. Technical problems and educational challenges should not be neglected while utilizing Moodle program in the electronic ecosystem

Abstract

The increasing influence of flipped learning within these approaches has brought significant changes to transformational approaches that solve several challenges in conventional curriculum programs. The research aimed to look at how students felt about using a flipped learning paradigm in two classes teaching English as a foreign language and determine whether it was technically feasible. The Flipped Learning Experience Questionnaire results result from the Flipped Learning Experience Questionnaire were evaluated using the Wilcoxon signed ordered test. In a flipped approach, 84 participants used their Microsoft Team platform to study English as a Foreign Language class. The findings revealed that the flipped instructional material was perceived positively, especially regarding overall pleasure. The learning attitudes mean score in the flipped arrangement was significantly greater than in the traditional design, increasing throughout the study. The results suggest that participants acknowledged the ease of use of Microsoft Teams platform devices and emphasized the significance of a good video content design for successful flipped educational experiences through Microsoft Teams. Further investigation is needed since students encountered difficulties throughout the assignment

Abstract

Label produk merupakan bagian penting bagi pelaku UMKM (Usaha Mikro Kecil dan Menengah) karena membantu memperkuat identitas dan membedakan produk mereka dari produk pesaing. Label produk juga membantu pelanggan memahami spesifikasi dan kualitas produk yang mereka beli. Ini bisa mempengaruhi keputusan pembelian pelanggan dan meningkatkan citra produk UMKM. Kegiatan penyuluhan pembuatan label produk UMKM Desa Majau Kecamatan Saketi dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesadaran para pelaku UMKM tentang pentingnya membuat label produk bagi keberlangsungan dan peningkatan usaha mereka. Berdasarkan kegiatan penyuluhan, pemerolehan hasil data statistik pre dan post test menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan signifikan dalam tingkat pengetahuan dan kesadaran para pelaku UMKM tentang pentingnya membuat label produk. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan sosialisasi ini berhasil dalam membantu para pelaku UMKM untuk meningkatkan usahanya dan memperkuat informasi produk mereka. kegiatan tersebut berhasil meningkatkan pengetahuan dan minat para pelaku UMKM Desa Majau dalam hal pembuatan label produk. Hal ini terbukti dari hasil data statistik yang menunjukkan bahwa jumlah responden yang mengetahui pentingnya label produk bagi UMKM meningkat setelah mengikuti kegiatan sosialisasi. Oleh karena itu, sangat penting untuk terus meneruskan kegiatan sosialisasi ini agar para pelaku UMKM dapat terus berkembang dan memperluas pasar produk mereka

Abstract

This study investigated the effectiveness of using the Grammarly application in teaching English language writing skills. A mixed-methods approach was utilised to collect data from 100 English language learners with diverse backgrounds and levels of proficiency. Participants were randomly assigned to either an experimental group that used Grammarly or a control group that received traditional writing instruction. The study collected quantitative and qualitative data, including pre-and post-test assessments of writing skills and surveys and interviews exploring participants' perceptions of Grammarly. Quantitative data analysis showed a significant improvement in the experimental group's writing skills regarding grammatical accuracy, vocabulary use, and overall writing quality. The effect size was also calculated to determine the magnitude of the difference between the two groups. Qualitative data analysis revealed that participants positively perceived Grammarly, including its user-friendliness and ability to provide personalized feedback. The findings suggest that Grammarly effectively teaches English language writing skills and can supplement traditional writing instruction. The study provides insights into the benefits and limitations of Grammarly and its potential impact on English language learners' writing skills. This research contributes to the ongoing discussion on integrating technology in language learning and provides implications for language instructors and developers of writing applications.

Abstract

The online environment has been transformed all educational contexts of Higher Education in Indonesia. This situation occurred because of the Covid-19 pandemic. The constructivism notion became undoubtful to be implemented in English pedagogy online Moodle environment. Nonetheless, there are a few investigations to the capabilities adopt and accept in Moodle system and specification feature. The study used a qualitative research approach ethnographic case study method to investigate an issue and get a thorough knowledge of constructivist philosophy in Moodle. The research focuses on 43 English lecturers in Higher Education in south Jakarta who are also transitioning to online instruction. A constructivist Moodle-based online environment was established using an electronic open-ended questionnaire and structured interview. The thematic analysis found the characterization of constructivism theory implements in Moodle-based. It included multiple resources material, engaging language learners’ experience, utilizing learners’ feedback, encouraging conversation, enhancing learners’ cognitive process, initiating learners’ autonomy environment, providing data and supplementary resources, and facilitating written interaction. The constructivism philosophy had been in integrating sufficiently in teaching English Moodle-based. The Resources and Activities had supported its features inside the system

Abstract

Kegiatan Abdimas ini bertujuan untuk memberikan sosialisasi dan pelatihan kepada panitia Pemilihan Pengurus Badan Keswadayaan Masyarakat (BKM) Kelurahan Kaliabang Tengah dalam pemanfaatan Google Form dan Google Cloud guna meningkatkan efisiensi, transparansi, dan aksesibilitas dalam proses pemilihan pengurus. Kegiatan ini akan dilaksanakan melalui serangkaian workshop interaktif yang akan mencakup pengenalan mendalam terhadap fitur-fitur Google Form untuk membuat formulir pendaftaran calon pengurus, serta pemanfaatan Google Cloud untuk menyimpan dan mengelola data hasil pendaftaran dengan aman dan terorganisir. Evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan sosialisasi mengenai pemanfaatan Google Form dan Google Cloud telah mencapai tujuannya dengan baik. Peserta merespons positif terhadap materi yang disampaikan dan menganggapnya relevan dengan tugas dan tanggung jawab mereka dalam panitia Pemilihan Pengurus BKM. Materi kegiatan sosialisasi mencakup pengenalan tentang penggunaan Google Form dan Google Cloud, termasuk panduan praktis dalam membuat formulir online dengan Google Form. Sebagian besar responden (76% dari total) menyatakan bahwa materi yang disampaikan dalam kegiatan sosialisasi sangat relevan atau relevan dengan kebutuhan mereka dalam pengelolaan data dan tugas-tugas di panitia Pemilihan Pengurus BKM. Sedangkan hanya 4% yang menganggap materi tidak relevan. materi kegiatan sosialisasi terbukti memenuhi kebutuhan dan ekspektasi mayoritas panitia BKM dalam mengembangkan pemahaman dan keterampilan dalam penggunaan Google Form dan Google Cloud   Socialization of the use of Google Forms and Google Cloud in the committee for the election of the Kaliabang Tengah Urban Village Community Self-Help Agency Management, North Bekasi   Abstract: This Abdimas activity aims to provide outreach and training to the Central Kaliabang Village Community Self-Reliance Agency (BKM) Management Election Committee using Google Form and Google Cloud to increase efficiency, transparency, and accessibility in the management selection process. This activity will be carried out through a series of interactive workshops, which will include an in-depth introduction to the Google Form features for creating registration forms for prospective administrators, as well as the use of Google Cloud to store and manage registration result data safely and in an organized manner. The evaluation shows that outreach activities regarding the use of Google Forms and Google Cloud have achieved their objectives well. Participants responded positively to the material presented and considered it relevant to their duties and responsibilities in the BKM Management Election Committee. The socialization activity material includes an introduction to the use of Google Forms and Google Cloud, including practical guidance in creating online forms with Google Forms. Most respondents (76% of the total) stated that the material presented in the socialization activities was very relevant or relevant to their needs in managing data and tasks on the BKM Management Election Committee. Meanwhile, only 4% thought the material was irrelevant. The socialization activity material was proven to meet the needs and expectations of the majority of the BKM committee in developing understanding and skills in using Google Forms and Google Cloud.
