Abstract

This study endeavors to ascertain the efficacy of the Argument-Driven Inquiry (ADI)-assisted virtual laboratory learning model in enhancing the comprehension of simple harmonic oscillation concepts among pre-service physics teachers. Employing a mixed-method approach with an embedded experimental design, the investigation employs a reasoned multiple-choice instrument comprising 15 questions. Analysis of the results reveals a noteworthy 48.38% increase in the average mastery of concepts between the pre-test and post-test, yielding an N-gain value of 0.63. Statistical scrutiny through paired sample t-tests corroborates significant disparities between pre-test and post-test scores, evidenced by a tcount (16.28) exceeding the critical ttable value (1.69) with a two-tailed significance value of 0.00. Furthermore, effect size analysis underscores the substantial impact of the ADI-assisted virtual laboratory learning model on augmenting students’ conceptual mastery. This underscores the viability of employing the ADI-assisted virtual laboratory learning model to enhance pre-service physics teachers’ understanding of simple harmonic oscillation concepts. However, refinement of the ADI syntax is recommended, particularly by substituting the report writing session with a learning reflection activity, without compromising the essence of ADI as an inquiry-based, argumentative learning model. It is anticipated that the outcomes of this study will influence the advancement of learning models in Indonesia, particularly the ADI paradigm. DOI: 10.17977/jps.v12i12024p023

Abstract

Mahasiswa sebagai calon guru Fisika profesional yang kompeten haruslah memiliki pemahaman konsep serta keterampilan dalam pembelajaran Fisika, karena banyak kejadian atau fenomena yang terdapat dalam kehidupan sehari-hari dan lingkungan sekitar yang sangat berkaitan dengan Fisika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep Fisika mahasiswa, dan melatih keterampilan praktikum dalam Laboratorium Virtual melalui penggunaan program Crocodile Physics dengan pendekatan TPACK (Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge). Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif. Penelitian ini menggunakan satu kelas untuk diteliti yang diberi perlakuan dengan memanfaatkan program Crocodile Physics sebagai media pembelajaran. Subjek penelitian yaitu mahasiswa Program studi Pendidikan Fisika Tahun Ajaran 2023/2024 sebanyak 23 orang. Pengambilan data dilakukan dua kali yaitu sebelum (pretest) dan sesudah (posttest) melakukan treatment, kemudian untuk melihat peningkatan pemahaman konsep fisika mahasiswa dilakukan uji t dan N-Gain. Hasil analisis data untuk uji t berpasangan dilakukan dengan SPSS, dengan hasil nilai sig. (2-tailed) adalah sebesar <0,001 kurang dari 0,05 (sig. (2-tailed) < 0,05), artinya terdapat perbedaan yang nyata antara pre-test dan post-test. Kemudian hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan pemahaman konsep mahasiswa memperoleh kriteria tinggi dengan skor N-Gain sebesar 0,71. Oleh karena itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif dalam penggunaan program Crocodile Physics sebagai media pembelajaran dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep dengan menggunakan pendekatan berbasis TPACK.Kata Kunci:TPACK (Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge); Pemahaman Konsep; Crocodile PhysicsTPACK-Based Learning Assisted by the Crocodile Physics Program to Improve the Understanding of Physics ConceptsABSTRACTStudents as prospective competent professional Physics teachers must have an understanding of concepts and skills in learning Physics because many events or phenomena are contained in daily life and the surrounding environment that are closely related to Physics. This research aims to improve students' ability to understand Physics concepts and train practicum skills in the Virtual Laboratory through the use of the Crocodile Physics program with the TPACK (Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge) approach. This type of research was descriptive research. This study used one class to be researched which was treated by utilizing the Crocodile Physics program as a learning medium. The research subjects were 23 students of the Physics Education Study Program for the 2023/2024 Academic Year. Data collection was carried out twice, namely before (pretest) and after (post-test) treatment, then to see an improvement in student's understanding of physics concepts, t-test and N-Gain were carried out. The results of data analysis for the paired t-test were carried out with SPSS, with the results of the sig value. (2-tailed) is <0.001 less than 0.05 (sig. (2-tailed) < 0.05), meaning that there was a real difference between the pre-test and post-test. Then the results of the data analysis showed that the improvement in students’ understanding of concepts obtained high criteria with an N-Gain score of 0.71. Therefore, it can be concluded that there was a positive influence in the use of the Crocodile Physics program as a learning medium in improving the ability of conceptual understanding using a TPACK-based approach.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of stakeholder pressure on sustainability reporting disclosure, focusing on three types of pressure: consumer pressure, employee pressure, and environmental pressure. The research objects are companies participating in ASSRAT from 2019 to 2022 and listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. This quantitative study employs a purposive sampling technique, resulting in a sample of 28 companies. The data used are secondary data obtained from the company’s official websites or the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the form of sustainability reports. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression with the assistance of the EViews 10 software. The results indicate that consumer and employee pressure does not significantly affect sustainability reporting disclosure, while environmental pressure has a positive effect. Stakeholders tend to pressure companies to ensure their needs and objectives are addressed. Companies should remain transparent, particularly in economic, environmental, and social aspects. By disclosing comprehensive information in the sustainability report, companies demonstrate their commitment to transparency and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders.

Abstract

Vector-borne diseases are a diversified group of diseases, caused by various pathogens transmitted by rats and arthropod vectors, such as mosquitoes, ticks, and flies. Previous research shows that cases of infectious diseases in Islamic boarding schools/orphanages are found, including dengue, scabies and pediculosis. Some Islamic boarding schools have poor environmental conditions, including toilets, damp and closed dormitories, poor ventilation and lighting, and poor environmental sanitation. Student behavior towards cleanliness and maintaining health is considered to be lacking. Through this service, it is hoped that residents at LKSA/Panti Asuhan Darul Tazkiyah can maintain personal cleanliness and residence so as to reduce the population of vectors and disease-carrying animals in the settlement. The activity was carried out through the method of socialization and two-way discussion. Scouts were given at the beginning of the activity to measure the level of knowledge of participants about vectors and disease-carrying animals. The results of the questionnaire showed that 94% of the participants did not have knowledge about the bioecology of vectors and disease-carrying animals. After the socialization and discussion stage, it can be concluded that participants understand the bioecology of each type of vector (flies, cockroaches, mosquitoes) and disease-carrying animals (rats).

Abstract

Penelitian mengenai analisis faktor penentu dalam pemilihan strategi promosi Universitas Palangka Raya (UPR) bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelebihan, kekurangan, peluang, dan acaman melalui analisis SWOT sehingga diketahui strategi dalam meningkatkan promosi UPR. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif deskriptif yang menggunakan metode analisis SWOT melalui survei terhadap 702 mahasiswa di UPR. Lokasi penelitian ini dilaksanakan di lingkungan UPR, Provinsi Kalimantan Tengah. Hasil dari penelitian ini yakni UPR memiliki kekuatan dalam pemanfaatan media sosial, kerjasama dengan sekolah, lokasi strategis, beragamnya jurusan, biaya kuliah terjangkau, dan diversifikasi jalur masuk. Untuk mengatasi kelemahan, UPR perlu mengurangi ketergantungan pada media sosial, meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan, dan memperluas pertimbangan calon mahasiswa. Peluang UPR dapat dioptimalkan melalui perbaikan website, promosi di sekolah-sekolah, peningkatan jalur beasiswa, dan sosialisasi alumni. Peralihan status ke BLU dapat meningkatkan branding dan kualitas kampus. Ancaman terbesar adalah penurunan minat mahasiswa jika promosi tidak ditingkatkan, sehingga strategi promosi lebih efektif, dengan peningkatan fasilitas, pengajaran, dan jalur beasiswa.

Abstract

Program Pertukaran Mahasiswa Merdeka merupakan salah satu program Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) yang bertujuan untuk mendorong mahasiswa menguasai berbagai ilmu sebagai persiapan memasuki dunia kerja. Artikel ini adalah hasil laporan kegiatan Modul Nusantara yaitu kontribusi sosial yang dilakukan di Desa Jehem, Kecamatan Tembuku, Kabupaten Bangli, Bali. Tujuan dari kontribusi sosial ini adalah membantu masyarakat yang terkena dampak tanah longsor, khususnya masyarakat Desa Jehem dan untuk meningkatkan semangat sosial mahasiswa pertukaran merdeka belajar. Hasil dari pelaksanaan kegiatan kontribusi sosial ini, yaitu: Masyarakat jadi lebih paham tentang public speaking dan personal branding melalui penyampaian materi yang dilakukan oleh mahasiswa pertukaran merdeka belajar, antusiasme masyarakat atas bantuan yang telah diberikan. Dengan adanya kegiatan kontribusi sosial ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kekuatan dan semangat kepada masyarakat yang terkena dampak bencana tanah longsor.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the variables of discipline, work motivation and compensation on the performance of state junior high school teachers in the Koja area of North Jakarta. The research was conducted at SMP Negeri 30, SMP Negeri 277 and SMP Negeri 151. The sampling technique in this study used a saturated sampling technique. Saturated sampling technique is a sampling technique when all members of the population are sampled and are relatively small. The results of the study show that the variable of discipline has an effect on teacher performance, motivation has an effect on teacher performance and compensation has had an effect on teacher performance. The results of hypothesis testing show that the variables of discipline, motivation and compensation together have a significant effect on teacher performance.

Abstract

The primary objective of this study was to create a comprehensive measurement scale for cyberloafing from the perspective of Generation Z in Indonesia. The research was conducted in two stages. The first stage involved 145 participants for initial validity, and the second stage included 214 respondents for the final validation. Two distinct factors were identified through exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA): personal interest and social cyberloafing. These factors comprised 11 items, providing a more in-depth understanding of cyberloafing and its prevalence in Gen Z populations. The article also discussed the study's limitations and provided recommendations for future research.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik pada pembelajaran dengan model problem based learning berbantuan media PhET. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pre-experimental menggunakan desain one group pretest and posttest. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah kelas IX-6 dengan jumlah 31 peserta didik. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara acak (random sampling) dengan asumsi seluruh kemampuan peserta didik dalam kelas tersebut dianggap homogen. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu tes hasil belajar kognitif dengan jumlah 29 butir soal. Hasil uji-t berpasangan (paired sample t-test) menunjukkan sig. (2-tailed) lebih kecil dari 0,005 dimana nilai signifikansinya < 0,001 maka H0 diterima. Hasil uji-t berpasangan tersebut menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan signifikan rata-rata hasil belajar kognitif sebelum dan setelah mengikuti pembelajaran dengan model PBL berbantuan media PhET. Peningkatan hasil belajar kognitif berdasarkan hasil analisis uji N-Gain sebesar 0,762 dengan kategori tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil dan pembahasan, disimpulkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik setelah menerapkan model problem based learning berbantuan media PhET.
