Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to find out how the choukai understanding of the 2020 students of the Japanese Language Education study program at the University of Riau on the sakura tips podcast. This study uses a quantitative descriptive research method. The population is the class of 2020 students, totaling 27 people. The instrument of this research is in the form of a test. The data analysis technique used descriptive statistics. The results showed that the choukai understanding of the class of 2020 students towards the sakura tips podcast obtained an average score of 66% in the good category.Key Words: Understanding, Choukai, Podcast

Abstract

Abstract: Foreign language reading anxiety has a negative effect on cognitive processes and behavior because in language classes between physical, cognitive, and behavioral anxiety are symptoms that influence each other. A quantitative descriptive methodology was used in this research. The purpose of this research was to determine the level of reading anxiety students class of 2021 Japanese Language Education Study Program FKIP Riau University. Respondents in this reseacrh were 30 students of 2021 Japanese Language Education Study Program in Riau University. Researchers used data collection techniques in the form of questionnaires using FLRAS instruments (Ahmad, 2013). The results showed that as many as 4 students or 13% had low reading anxiety levels, 21 students or 70% had a medium level of anxiety, and 5 students or 17% had a high level of anxiety.Key Words : japanese language anxiety, reading anxiety, anxiety level, FLRAS

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to examine the differences in understanding learning outcomes between students who use the VRchat game and students who do not use the VRchat game on the basic level 2 A-2 Marugoto material on topic 1 atarashii tomodachi. The research method used is a quasi-experimental method of Nonequivalent Control Group Design. This study involved 2 classes, namely the experimental class and the control class. The experimental class was given treatment using the VRchat game, while the control class only received material. Each was given a pretest and posttest. The results of data processing showed the calculation of the posttest average value of the experimental class was 64.64 while the control class was 44.28. The conclusion of the research is that there are differences in understanding learning outcomes between groups that use VRchat games and groups that do not use VRchat games. The learning outcomes of students' understanding using VRchat games were higher than the group that did not use learning games.Key Words: VRchat, Online Game, Japanese Language, Choukai, Influence

Abstract

Abstract: Teaching and learning activities are activities that determine success in achieving educational goals. One of the general functions and objectives of learning in schools is the readiness of teachers in providing teaching that can develop abilities to students through the selection of learning models. The Project-based Learning (PjBL) learning model is based on the characteristics of this learning model itself which focuses on the central role of students in carrying out learning activities. The benefits of the project-based learning model (Project-based Learning) are beneficial for the development of students' creativity. The purpose of this research is to raise students' awareness that students need to implement Project-based Learning because it is very much needed in schools and to find out the Understanding of Project-based Learning Models as readiness for School Field Introduction (PLP) Students of the Class of 2019 Japanese Language Education, Riau University. The type of research used is the type of mixed research (mixed methods). The instruments used in this study were observation sheets, interviews, and students' ability to make projects using the Project-based Learning model which was distributed directly to class 2019 students. 26 Japanese Language Education Students Class of 2019 in understanding the Project-based Learning model which stated that the average value of 86.615% was included in the "Very Understand" criteria.Key Words : Understanding, Readiness, Project Based-Learning Model.

Abstract

Abstract: This study discusses the mastery of Hiragana letters in Japanese language learning for class X students of SMAN 9 Pekanbaru. In Japan there are 3 types of letters that must be learned, namely Hiragana, Katakana and Kanji. In this case the researcher chose Hiragana letters because Hiragana letters are very different from the alphabet letters that we usually learn. The purpose of this study was to describe the mastery of Hiragana letters to class X students of SMAN 9 Pekanbaru. The type of research used in this research is quantitative research with descriptive method. The population in this study were students of class X SMAN 9 Pekanbaru, amounting to 65 people. The sample in this study were students of class X IPA 4 SMAN 9 Pekanbaru, totaling 30 people. The data of this research are students' test scores in mastering Hiragana letters in Japanese language learning. Based on the results of the research conducted, it can be concluded that the mastery of Hiragana characters in Japanese learning in general is in the "adequate" qualification with an average obtained of 68,8.Key Words: The mastery, Japanese Characters, the Hiragana Letters

Abstract

Abstract: This study describes how the response of Japanese language education students batch 2020 to the audio-visual media of Japanese grammar ukemi. The purpose of this study was to determine the response of Japanese language education students batch 2020 to Ukemi's Japanese grammar audio-visual media. This study uses the analytical method popularized by Sudjana (2011). The results of this study are that the researchers received responses from students, as many as 19 people rated it very decent, 2 people rated it worthy, 4 people rated it less worthy, and 2 people rated it not worth it. Abstract

Abstract: In the current era of globalization, the use of language is growing rapidly. The demand for mastering a foreign language is even greater. With the advancements in the current era of globalization, not only English, Japanese is also the language learned by speakers of the language as a foreign language or a second language. These linguistic events will appear in a multilingual society related to sociolinguistics. Someone who is communicating with the other person actually sends codes to the other person which can lead to the process of code switching and code mixing. Code mixing is mixing code from one language to another, expanding the language style or variety of languages.. The phenomena of code-switching and code-mixing are actually a phenomenon that often occurs in everyday life but is not widely realized by the speakers. The purpose of this study is to describe the types and causes of code switching contained in the Nihongo Mantappu Youtube channel. The method used in this study is the listening method with the free-involved-talk (SBLC) listening technique. Abstract

Abstract: This study discusses the comparison of Japanese language learning achievement between students who undergo offline learning and online learning. The purpose of this study was to determine the comparison of Japanese language learning achievement. The method used in this research is quantitative with a descriptive approach. This study takes data from student achievement results in the 2019 odd semester and 2018 class in the 2020 odd semester. The results of this study indicate that of the 4 courses, 2 of them have the same learning achievement between offline learning and online learning. Abstract: This research was conducted to see the perception of students' anime viewing habits on students' listening skills. The sample of this study is the entire population of Japanese Language Education students for the Class of 2019. The instruments used are the distribution of questionnaires and students' speaking ability tests. Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the perception and motivation of students in choosing the Japanese Language Education Study Program at Riau University. In addition, it is also to find out the most dominant factors that affect the perception and motivation of students.The method used in this study is the Quantitative Descriptive method by using the Google Docs application as a data retrieval medium, namely Angket. Then the researcher analyzes the data by using the SPSS application to get the mean value. After the mean value is obtained, the calculation of the dominant factor that affects the perception and motivation of students is carried out. The students who were used as respondents were students of the class of 2020, 2021 and 2022.From the results of the study, it can be concluded that students of the Japanese Language Education Study Program have a positive perception and motivation towards the simultaneous selection of their study program. Furthermore, researchers are expected to expand the scope of respondents, not only students in one study program, but also other study programs in the language and arts education department of Riau University.Key Words: Perception, Motivation, Student
