Abstract

Education plays an important role in human resource development, and the quality of education is an indicator of a nation's success. Improving the quality of education in Indonesia, especially at the elementary and secondary levels, is supported by the School Operational Assistance Program (BOS). This study examines the management of BOS funds and their impact on the quality of educational facilities and infrastructure. The methods used are library research and content analysis, with a focus on transparency, accountability, and participation in fund management. The results show that effective management of BOS funds can improve the quality of facilities and infrastructure, but there are still obstacles such as late disbursement of funds and low financial literacy. Recommendations for improving management effectiveness include financial management training and digitalization of the reporting system. This study is expected to provide insight and strategic solutions to maximize the use of BOS funds for better education quality.

Abstract

Plurality is an unavoidable social reality in Indonesia's diverse society. Religious, cultural, and ethnic diversity pose unique challenges for the education system, especially Islamic Religious Education (IRE), which is responsible for shaping students' character and religious attitudes. This study aims to analyze the role, challenges, and strategies of Islamic Religious Education in dealing with plurality through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. Data were collected from 12 scientific articles indexed by Google Scholar published between 2020 and 2025. The results of the study show that PAI has a strategic role in instilling values of tolerance, religious moderation, and respect for differences. The main challenges faced include resistance to pluralism, a lack of teacher competence in multicultural learning, and a curriculum bias that is still normative. The strategies that emerged include strengthening multicultural education, curriculum innovation, developing teacher competencies, and synergy between educational institutions and the community. These findings confirm that the success of IRE amid plurality depends on the ability to adapt and integrate the values of Islam rahmatan lil 'alamin into inclusive and dialogical educational practices.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the challenges of globalization that require Islamic educational institutions to be able to equip students with strong and competitive characters. The purpose of this study is to examine in depth the efforts of the principal of MI Cerdas Nurani in facing these challenges. The research used a qualitative approach with a case study method conducted at MI Cerdas Nurani, Cimahi City. Data collection techniques included interviews, group discussions, and observations, while data analysis was conducted descriptively and narratively. The research findings indicate that the principal’s main strategy in facing globalization is maintaining the sustainability of the Habit Character Life Skill (HCL) Curriculum. This curriculum focuses on strengthening the character of religious, independent, and competitive students through the habituation of the values of cleanliness, neatness, and discipline, as well as the practice of daily worship and applicable monthly habits. Implementation is carried out through stages of habit campaigns and habit celebrations by involving the active role of parents and the role models of the principal and teachers. The HCL Curriculum is a strategic innovation of the principal of MI Cerdas Nurani in fortifying students from the negative impacts of globalization while preparing them to compete globally.
