Abstract

The objectives of this research were to find out: (1) The differences on  average of geography learning outcomes by implementing the cooperative learning model type NHT and STAD, (2) The differences on average of geography learning outcomes by implementing the cooperative learning model type NHT higher than  the cooperative learning model type STAD, (3 ) The difference on gain of geography learning outcomes by implementing the cooperative learning model type NHT and STAD, and (4) The difference on gain of geography learning outcomes by implementing cooperative learning model type NHT higher than  the cooperative learning model type STAD. The method used in this research was Quasi Experiment. The population in this research was the students of class XI Social year 2012-2013. The sampling was taken by using Puposive Sampling technique by determining the relative characteristics including the mastery of learning outcomes, selected class XI Social 1 and XI Social 3 SMA Negeri 4 Metro. Data collecting tool used was a test of natural resources matter. The software used to process the research data was SPSS version 17.0 For Windows. The result in this research: (1) There is a difference on average of geography learning outcomes by implementing cooperative learning model type NHT and STAD, (2) The average of geography learning outcomes by implementing cooperative learning model type NHT higher than type STAD, ( 3) There is a difference increase (gain) on the average of geography learning outcomes by implementing cooperative learning model type NHT and STAD ,and (4) The increase (gain) on the average of geography learning outcomes by implementing cooperative learning model type NHT higher than type STAD. Key Word: Number Heads Together, Student Team Achievement Division, and Geography Learning

Abstract

The research aims to (1) find out the development of basic geography knowledge modules as teaching material, (2) produce basic geography knowledge modules as teaching material, (3) investigate the effectiveness of basic geography knowledge modules as teaching at class social 2 SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Bandar Lampung. This research used stages and developments from Borg Gall model. The results of research and development indicate the assessment of material experts, design experts, linguists that the resulting development module is suitable for use in learning. In the small group trials, the module feasibility assessment is very feasible, while the large group trials for the attractiveness of the modules fall into the attractive category and the ease of use of the modules falls into the easy category. Module effectiveness is obtained from post-test scores where the use of modules in learning is categorized as effective.Penelitian ini bertujuan (1) mengetahui pengembangan modul materi pengetahuan dasar geografi sebagai bahan ajar, (2) menghasilkan modul materi pengetahuan dasar geografi sebagai bahan ajar, (3) mengetahui tingkat keefektifan modul materi pengetahuan dasar geografi sebagai bahan ajar di kelas X IPS 2 SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Bandar Lampung. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan tahapan dalam peneltian dan pengembangan modul Borg Gall. Hasil penelitian dan pengembangan menunjukkan penilaian dari ahli materi, ahli desain, ahli bahasa bahwa modul hasil pengembangan layak untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Pada uji coba kelompok kecil penilain kelayakan modul ialah sangat layak, sedangkan uji coba kelompok besar untuk kemenarikan modul masuk dalam kategori menarik dan kemudahan penggunaan modul masuk dalam kategori mudah. Keefektifan modul didapat dari nilai post tes dimana penggunaan modul dalam pembelajaran dikategorikan efektif.Kata kunci: pengembangan modul, pengetahuan dasar geografi, model borg gall

Abstract

The research purpose is to increase the students activities and geography learning result by using video visual media of learning, The method of this research is quasi experiments. The subjects of this research are the students of social grade, State Senior High School SMAN 1 Kedondong. Object of research is video visual media to increase activites and result study. Data collection techniques using tests and documentation. Research use T test to analysis data. The mean value of posttest of learning result of geography in the experimental class is higher than the control class, The method used in this study is a quasi experiment (Quasi Eksperimen), it is known that the experimental learning exhaustive = 86.84% greater than the learning control class mastery = 57.5%.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan efektivitas dan hasil belajar geografi siswa melalui penggunakan media pembelajaran video visual, Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu. Subyek penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas X IPS SMAN 1 Kedondong. Objek penelitian adalah media video visual untuk meningkatkan efektivitas dan hasil belajar siswa, teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes dan dokumentasi. Analisi data menggunakan Uji T. Nilai rerata pretest hasil belajar geografi antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol tidak berbeda, Nilai rerata posttest hasil belajar geografi pada kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol, Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini eksperimen semu (Quasi Eksperimen). diketahui bahwa ketuntasan belajar kelas eksperimen = 86,84 % lebih besar dari ketuntasan belajar kelas kontrol = 57,5 %,Kata Kunci: Efektivitas belajar, hasil belajar, media video visual

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out whether there was a correlation of learning interest and learning readiness with geography achievement at the first year students of SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Bandar Lampung year of 2012-2013. Method of this research was correlation, the population are 181 students and the sample of this research are 75 students. Data collecting technique are test, questionnaire and documentation. Based on the data analysis the result of this research showed that: (1) There was a positive and significance correlation between learning interest with learning Geography achievemnet class  X the students of SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Bandar Lampung year of 2012-2013 (: 0.682). (2) There was a positive and significant correlation between physical readiness with learning Geography achievement class X the students of SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Bandar Lampung year of 2012-2013.  (0.524). (3) There was a positive and significant correlation between mental readiness with learning Geography achievement.( : 0.652).(4) There was a positive and significant correlation between the readiness of the media with learning Geography achievement class X the students of SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Bandar Lampung year of 2012-2013.( : 0.577)

Abstract

This study aims to examine the socio-economic conditions of families living in slum areas in the Bumi Waras sub distric, Bumi Waras District. This study is a quantitative descriptive study with a sample of 49 family heads. Data was collected through observation, interviews with questionnaires, and documentation as a research instrument. Analysis of the data used was the mix method. The indicators used in this study were socio-economic which includes type of work, working hours, income, home ownership status, education level, level of fulfillment of basic needs, and ownership of valuables properties.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji tentang keadaan social ekonomi keluarga yang bermukim di daerah slum di Kelurahan Bumi Waras Kecamatan BumiWaras. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan sampel sebanyak 49 kepala keluarga. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara dengan kuisioner, dan dokumentasi sebagai instrument penelitian. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah mix method. Indikator yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah sosial ekonomi yang meliputi jenis pekerjaan, jam kerja, pendapatan, status kepemilikan rumah, tingkat pendidikan, tingkat pemenuhan kebutuhan pokok, dan kepemilikan barang berharga.Kata kunci : kondisi ekonomi, kondisi sosial, slum area

Abstract

The low rice production caused by the limited area of arable land and the low price of paddy rice which led farmers to plant rubber trees, in addition to easy marketing of rubber and rubber farmers incomes greater. This research study aims to examine changes in the livelihoods of rice farmers into rubber farmers in the village of Jaya district Bhakti Mesuji Komering Ogan Ilir regency period 1994-2003.  The method used is descriptive method, whereas the data collection technique used is observation, documentation and interviews and data analysis techniques used are based on a percentage analysis of the frequency table is simple. The population in this study as many as 198 households and a sample taken at 50 or 25% of the farmers of the existing population and this study is a research sample.  These results indicate that 1). A total of 28 or 56% which has a land area is 22 or 44% and having a narrow area. 2). Sebayak 26 or 54% of the production of low rice farming and 24 or 48% higher production of rice farming. 3). As many as 43 or 86% said the low price of rice led them to plant rubber and 7 or 14% said the low price of rice is not the cause of their planting rubber. 4). As many as 48 or 96% said quickly and easily sell their rubber plant is one of the causes of their rubber plant and a 2 or 4% said quickly and easily sell their rubber plant is not one of them causes the rubber plant. 5). As many as 26 or 52% of the rubber farmers have income per year is greater than or equal to Rp.41.794.800; - and 24 or 48% rubber farmers have an income per year is less than Rp.41.794.800; -.Key wordt: Lowland Rice Production, Rice Selling Price, Marketing Rubber, Rubber Farmers Income

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pemberdayaan masyarakat Kampung Jawa dalam pengembangan objek wisata Pantai Labuhan Jukung Kecamatan Pesisir Tengah Kabupaten Pesisir Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriftif. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh masyarakat yang bekerja di Pantai Labuhan Jukung berjumlah 34 orang, terdiri dari 2 orang bekerja sebagai jasa transportasi dan 32 orang berkerja dibagian fasilitas. Pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, kuesioner, observasi dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan deskriptif persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Dinas Pariwisata Pesisir Barat telah mengajak masyarakat sekitar khususnya Kampung Jawa untuk berpartisipasi melalui pemberdayaan masyarakat dengan cara ikut mengelola objek wisata Pantai Labuhan Jukung ini dengan membuka usaha dibidang jasa transportasi yaitu penyewaan kendaraan motor dan penyewaan kendaraan mobil dan dibidang fasilitas yaitu usaha penyewaan akomodasi penginapan, usaha makanan dan minuman, cinderamata, penjaga tiket, penjaga kebersihan, penjaga kamar bilas/toilet dan petugas promosi. Kata Kunci: Pantai Labuhan Jukung, Pemberdayaan Masyarakat, Pengembangan Objek Wisata. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpg.v10.i1.22616

Abstract

The lecturing method used by a lecturer often results in students low achievement. The current study was intended to explore the effect of the jigsaw technique on the students active participants and the achievement on geography. The pre-experimental designs was employed as the current research. The subject were 34 students of senior high school YP Unila Bandar Lampung. The data was analyzed using SPSS 17.0. The results showed that 1) There was an influence attitude on the application of cooperative learning model jigsaw type on the activities of geography students learning at SMA YP Unila Bandar Lampung. 2) There was an influence of attitude on the application of cooperative learning model jigsaw type towards geography students learning outcomes of SMA YP Unila Bandar Lampung. It can be suggested that jigsaw facilitate the students to actively involve in teaching learning process.Metode ceramah yang digunakan oleh guru sering kali berpengaruh pada rendahnya prestasi siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi efek dari teknik jigsaw pada pretasi dan partisipasi aktif siswa pada mata pelajaran geografi. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain pra-eksperimental. Subjek penelitian adalah 34 siswa sekolah menengah atas YP Unila Bandar Lampung. Data dianalisis menggunakan SPSS 17.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) Ada pengaruh sikap penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw terhadap aktivitas belajar geografi siswa SMA YP Unila Bandar Lampung. 2) Ada pengaruh sikap penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw terhadap hasil belajar siswa geografi SMA YP Unila Bandar Lampung. Disarankan bahwa jigsaw memfasilitasi siswa untuk secara aktif terlibat dalam proses belajar mengajar.Kata kunci: aktivitas belajar, hasil belajar, pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw

Abstract

This study aims to find out the process of migrating and the socio-economic condition of Bantenese migrants in Kaliawi Village Bandar Lampung City. The method used was descriptive quantitative analysis. The 110 families were selected through propotional random sampling technique. The data collection technique was done through interview, documentation and questionnaire. Data analysis used percentage and scoring. The results of this study were: 1. The migration process was easy due to several reason the lack of job opportunities in the place of origin (80.78%). Travel migrating Banten tribes to Kaliawi Village was easy (69.23%). The purpose of migrating improved the standard of living (69.23%). The source of information migrating was information from friends (82.7%). 2. Socio-economic conditions was low (61.54%). The education level of the heads of migrant was low (90.38%). The type of migrants job was trader (63.46%), Migrant income was low (69.23%). Ownership of valuables owned by migrants was low ( 61.54%).Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui proses bermigrasi dan kondisi sosial ekonomi migran Suku Banten di Kelurahan Kaliawi Bandar Lampung. Metode yang digunakan deskriptif analisis kuantitaif. Populasi 110 KK dengan teknik propotional random sampling Pengambilan data dengan wawancara, dokumentasi dan kuisioner. Analisis data menggunakan presentase dan scoring. Hasil penelitian ini : 1. Proses bermigrasi mudah meliputi: Alasan Suku Banten migrasi ke Provinsi Lampung kurangnya kesempatan kerja di daerah asal (80,78%). Perjalanan bermigrasi Suku Banten ke Kelurahan Kaliawi mudah (69,23%). Tujuan bermigrasi memperbaiki taraf hidup (69,23%). Sumber informasi bermigrasi adalah informasi dari teman (82,7%). 2. Kondisi Sosial ekonomi rendah (61,54%) meliputi tingkat pendidikan kepala keluarga migran rendah (90,38%). Jenis pekerjaan migran pedagang (63,46%). Pendapatan migran rendah (69,23%). Kepemilikan barang berharga yang dimiliki migran rendah (61,54%).Kata kunci: migran, migrasi, sosial-ekonomi

Abstract

There are many media that can be used to: support teaching learning process. In this task the writer would use module in its research. Research methodology used that is research and development. The collection of data using test expert who consisting of the people of the design, and the people of the material. While target the fit and proper test uses the methodinterview, documentation, and observation. The analysis of data using a formula Aikens V. The pilot module showes that 94 % very interesting, 68 % easy, 97 % very useful. This data is based on the result pilot effectiveness 85% of completed student and its value of completeness at least 70 and its average rate is 72,11. From the data have shown above that this module deserved to use for student in teaching learning process. Because this module is not only gives attractive, easy, eseful but it also develops the students character.Tujuan pengembangan modul untuk menjadikan modul sebagai sarana dalam memperbaiki karakter peserta didik melalui penggunaan modul pada proses pembelajaran. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yakni penelitian dan pengembangan. Pengumpulan data menggunakan uji ahli yang terdiri dari ahli desain, dan ahli materi. Sedangkan uji kelayakan sasaran menggunakan metode wawancara, dokumentasi dan observasi. Analisis data menggunakan formula Aikens V. Hasil penggunaan modul diperoleh skor kemenarikan 94 % (sangat manarik), skor kemudahan 68% (sangat mudah), skor kemanfaatan 97% (sangat bermanfaat). Produk efektif digunakan berdasarkan hasil uji efektivitas 85% siswa tuntas. Dari nilai Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal 70 dengan nilai rata-rata 72,11. Penggunaan modul ini mempermudah pemahaman konsep dan berfungsi memperbaiki karakter peserta didik. Sehingga modul ini layak digunakan dengan kualitas menarik, mudah digunakan, bermanfaat, dan efektif sebagai media pembelajaran.Kata kunci: berbasis pendidikan karakter, modul geografi, pengembangan
