Objective: This study aimed to determine the relationship between age, education level, anxiety level, and sleep patterns in cervical cancer patients undergoing external radiotherapy treatment. Method: The research method used a cross sectional approach design by collecting data on independent variables and dependent variables. The sampling technique in this research used Total Sampling. The sample consisted of 20 cervical cancer respondents who underwent external radiation, then the data collected was processed using the Spearmen Rho test. Results: Based on the research results, it was found that only anxiety level was related to sleep pattern (r = .519, p < .05). Meanwhile, age and education level have no relationship with sleep patterns. Conclusion: The anxiety level of cervical cancer patients in facing external radiotherapy treatment can affect their sleep patterns, so understanding is needed by a health worker to reduce the patient's anxiety.

Abstract

Background: In Indonesia, many people do not pay attention to healthy lifestyles in order to maintain stable blood sugar to prevent diabetes mellitus, which increases every year. Objective: The aim of this research was to determine the effect of soursop leaf tea on reducing blood sugar levels in diabetes mellitus sufferers at the Dukuh Klopo Community Health Center, Peterongan, Jombang. Method: The research design was a pre-experimental - one group pre test-post test design. The population in this study was 153 people, all sufferers of diabetes mellitus at the Dukuh Klopo Community Health Center using purposive sampling technique, a sample of 23 people. The independent variable is soursop leaf tea. The dependent variable is a decrease in blood sugar levels in diabetes mellitus sufferers. Data collection uses SOP and observation sheets with the Wilcoxon statistical test. Results: Based on the research results, it was discovered that all 23 respondents (100%) had high blood sugar levels before being given soursop leaf tea therapy. Meanwhile, after being given therapy, some respondents, namely 12 respondents (52%) were in the moderate category and 11 respondents (48%) were in the normal category. The results of the Wilcoxon test at a significance level of α = 0.05 showed that ρ<α or 0.000 < 0.05, so H1 was accepted and H0 was rejected, which means that there is an effect of soursop leaf tea on reducing blood sugar levels in diabetes mellitus sufferers at the Dukuh Klopo Community Health Center, Peterongan , Jombang. Conclusion: Giving soursop leaf tea can reduce blood sugar in diabetes mellitus sufferers and is expected to be an alternative intervention to reduce blood sugar, because soursop leaves can improve pancreatic cells by increasing their granulation. Apart from that, the high antioxidants in soursop leaves can reduce free radicals that come from hyperglycemia.

Abstract

Background: Mean arterial pressure (MAP) in the context of hypertension was important in understanding the impact of high blood pressure on the elderly. Several pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapies are expected to help reduce MAP values in the elderly with hypertension. Soursop leaf tea, rich in antioxidants and potassium, is one of the non-pharmacological therapies that can lower blood pressure in people with hypertension. Objectives: The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of giving soursop leaf tea on reducing MAP (Mean Arterial Pressure) values in elderly people with hypertension in Simongagrok Village, Dawarblandong District, Mojokerto Regency. Methods: This study used a Pre-Experiment design using the (One-Group Pretest-Posttest) approach. In this study, a population of 19 elderly people in Simongagrok Village was obtained with a sample size of 15 respondents using the Quota Sampling technique. The instruments in this study were a blood pressure meter, observation sheets, and soursop leaf tea. Data analysis used the Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test. Results: The results of the study before being given treatment showed that 13 respondents (86.7%) experienced hypertension in the category of Mild MAP Value. After being given treatment, 15 respondents experienced hypertension in the category of Normal MAP Value with a percentage of 100%. Based on the results of the Wilcoxon test, a significant value was obtained, namely p ≤ ???? 0.05, namely 0.001 <0.05, which means that ????1 is accepted, so there is an effect of giving soursop leaf tea on reducing MAP (Mean Arterial Pressure) values in elderly people with hypertension in Simongagrok Village, Dawarblandong District, Mojokerto Regency. Conclusion: Giving soursop leaf tea is expected to be one of the independent therapies for nurses in providing non-pharmacological therapy in reducing MAP values in elderly people with hypertension.

The Covid-19 case in Indonesia shocked the community and caused fear from various groups. Transmission of this virus occurs through droplets or body fluids splashed on a person or objects around them that are 1-2 meters away through coughing and sneezing. Community knowledge is very influential in behavior in carrying out prevention. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of health education using online methods on knowledge about Covid-19 in adolescents. The research design was pre-experimental with a one-group pretest-posttest design approach. The population is 131 respondents. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. The variables in this study are health education about Covid-19 as the independent variable and knowledge about Covid-19 as the dependent variable. Data collection used a questionnaire and data analysis using the Wilcoxon test. The results showed that before being given health education, most of the respondents had sufficient knowledge, namely as many as 74 respondents (56.5%), then after being given health education, almost all respondents had good knowledge, namely as many as 122 respondents (93.1%). The results of data analysis using the Wilcoxon test showed a sig (2-tailed) p-value: of 0.000 and an error rate of P< 0.05, meaning that there is an effect of online health education on knowledge about Covid-19 in adolescents. Providing health education using online methods about Covid-19 increases understanding of the state of the Covid-19 pandemic. It is hoped that this increased knowledge will allow youth to implement health protocols as well as possible so that it becomes an effort to reduce Covid-19. Teenagers are expected to always implement health protocols such as: wearing masks, washing hands with soap, keeping their distance, and so on, this is done to prevent transmission of the virus. Abstract

Shivering is closely related to hypothermia and is one of the seriously problems in surgical patients that can hurt the patient's condition because it affects patient comfort and increases metabolic needs that cause cardiovascular complications. The causes of shivering are the temperature of the operating room, the extent of the surgical wound, age, body mass index, fluids, gender, type of anesthesia, and duration of surgery. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of giving a heating lamp on increasing the body temperature of patients with postoperative shivering. This study was a quantitative study with a pre-experimental design type one group pretest-posttest. The population in the survey was postoperative patients. The sample in this study amounted to 32 respondents using the accidental sampling technique. The instruments in this study were thermometers, heating lamps, and observation sheets. Data analysis used the Wilcoxon sign rank test with P <0.05. This study showed that the average body temperature of patients before being given a heating lamp was 35.10 C. After being given a heating lamp, the average patient temperature was 36.70C. The results of the statistical analysis test obtained a P value of 0.00, which means that there is an effect of providing a heating lamp on increasing the body temperature of patients with postoperative shivering. Postoperative shivering can be treated by minimizing heat loss during surgery with various mechanical interventions such as providing a heating lamp.
