Abstract

Alun-alun Karanganyar sebagai salah satu ruang terbuka publik perkotaan berperan sebagai wadah untuk menampung berbagai aktivitas sosial-rekreatif masyarakat. Berbagai jenis aktivitas tersebut perlu diidentifikasi dan dikendalikan agar fungsi Alun-alun Karanganyar sebagai ruang terbuka publik dapat berjalan secara optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pola aktivitas pemanfaatan Alun-alun Karanganyar sebagai ruang terbuka publik berdasarkan setting fisik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif melalui place-centered mapping sebagai alat untuk mengetahui kecenderungan pemanfaatan ruang dan pola aktivitas pengunjung serta analisis kernel density untuk menilai kepadatan aktivitas. Pengamatan dilakukan pada hari kerja (weekday) dan hari libur (weekend) pada pagi, sore, dan malam hari. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan ruang didominasi oleh aktivitas duduk, makan, berjualan, dan bermain. Keberadaan elemen atraktif menjadi penunjang daya tarik masyarakat

Abstract

Jalan Affandi, yang juga dikenal dengan nama Jalan Gejayan, sebagai koridor komersial di Yogyakarta memiliki kepadatan aktivitas yang tinggi. Selain sirkulasi kendaraan, kenyamanan jalur pejalan kaki merupakan aspek yang perlu diperhatikan dalam penataan ruang perkotaan. Fasilitas pejalan kaki merupakan salah satu konsentasi dalam konsep walkability yang bertujuan untuk kenyamanan pengguna jalur pejalan kaki. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi fasilitas jalur pejalan kaki di Jalan Affandi dengan pendekatan konsep walkability. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian yaitu metode deskriptif kualitatif melalui observasi lapangan untuk mengamati dan mengindentifikasi kondisi fasilitas pejalan kaki di Jalan Affandi. Pembahasan dilakukan dengan menyandingkan kondisi eksisting dengan konsep walkability. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kondisi fasilitas pejalan kaki di koridor Jalan Affandi belum memenuhi konsep walkability. Beberapa permasalahan yang ditemukan adalah ketidaksesuaian pemanfaatan jalur pejalan kaki, kondisi fasilitas yang tidak terawat, serta minimnya fasilitas bagi difabel. Hal tersebut tentu berpengaruh pada kenyamanan pejalan kaki yang merupakan aspek penting dalam konsep walkability. Hasil dari penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi evaluasi dan masukan bagi perencanaan di kawasan koridor Jalan Affandi Yogyakarta.Kata Kunci: fasilitas; jalur; pejalan kaki; walkability.

Abstract

Pedagang keliling sebagai bagian dari kegiatan ekonomi informal memberikan kontribusi yang tidak kecil baik sebagai tools bagi masyarakat bawah untuk menavigasi kondisi sosial ekonominya maupun bagi kondisi lingkungan, karena pedagang keliling menjadi salah satu representasi dari hubungan kota dengan wilayah hinterlandnya, tumbuhnya jiwa wirausaha dan meminimalkan pergerakan masyarakat dalam berbelanja. Pedagang keliling mendatangi konsumennya dengan berhenti di banyak titik yang umumnya merupakan ruang publik yang mendekati guna lahan tertentu tanpa menimbulkan konflik pemanfaatan ruang, karena hanya berhenti sesaat, tanpa ada ruang yang diakuisi seperti halnya pedagang kaki lima. Setiap titik henti yang menjadi lokasi dagang para pedagang keliling memiliki karakteristik yang memberikan berpengaruh terhadap bentuk aktivitas yang terjadi baik dari segi sosial maupun ekonomi. Ruang publik menjadi pilihan lokasi berdagang oleh para pedagang keliling karena pada dasarnya tingginya mobilitas di kawasan sehingga dapat memberikan banyak keuntungan. Melalui teknik analisis korelasi Spearman, ditemukan bahwa pendapatan bersih yang diperoleh para pedagang keliling menjadi variabel dominan yang memiliki hubungan erat/berkorelasi positif dengan variabel karakteristik lokasi titik henti pedagang keliling diantaranya jenis tata guna lahan aktivitas utama yang ditempati, jarak titik henti, tingkat keamanan, kenyamanan, dan kebersihan.

Abstract

Pemuda Street which is located in the Chinatown area of Magelang City is located in a strategic location that connects Magelang City and Yogyakarta City. High density and activities make the street corridor a commercial corridor that is growing rapidly by time. Commercial activities which are also located in the Chinatown area also affect the environmental quality system that is formed. The research method used is descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The results showed that the distinctive character of the region as a trading area still looks strong with the existence of trading activities and other elements that support these activities. On the other hand, there is still a need for improvement in the aspect of facilities and sanctions for violating regulations.

Abstract

Monument Park 45 Banjarsari is one of the icons of Solo City which is in Banjarsari District. This city park was built on a land area with an area of 17,688 m². Making city parks and green belts is an action taken by the city government of Solo to preserve green open spaces in the city of Solo. This study aims to (1) calculate the economic value of a city park including indirect use value, choice value, inheritance value, and existence value (2) find out the public's perception of the physical and non-physical conditions of Taman Kota Monument 45 Banjarsari. This research was conducted by collecting questionnaire/interview data and calculating the number and circumference of trees. The sample used in this research was 50 visitors to Monument Park 45 Banjarsari, and the WTP and TCM methods were used to obtain recreation, existence and heritage values. The economic valuation generated through calculations using the WTP and TCM methods shows that the economic value of carbon is IDR 3.137.471.289; Recreation economic value of IDR 530,388,800; Inheritance economic value of IDR IDR 386,140,800; and The economic value of existence is IDR 100,418,800.

Abstract

The urge for urban public space evolved in increasingly dense cities. Tirtonadi Dam Park is a waterfront-designed urban park located on Bengawan Solo riverbank area. To support the activities, adequate infrastructure must be provided. The objective of this study was to assess Tirtonadi Dam Park's service quality as an urban public space and suggest methods to improve it to promote local communities' economic development. The variables—infrastructure, access & linkage, comfort & images, use & activity—were evaluated and compiled into 16 indicators. Based on user perceptions, Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) was employed to determine the performance and importance levels of predetermined variables. The findings demonstrated that vegetation, infrastructure for the disabled, and drainage and water systems all dropped into the "concentrate here" quadrant, necessitating further development to enhance quality and add more supporting facilities. Furthermore, the quality of security, environmental cleanliness, pedestrian paths, recreational facilities, informal sectors, lighting facilities, and transportation lies in the “keep up the good work” quadrant so that they should be maintained. Enhancing waterfront facilities with leisurely and recreational features can increase the number of visitors. Improving urban areas and incorporating the surrounding communities in all phases of development will be crucial, with the potential to enhance their economic circumstances.

Abstract

Rapid population growth in Surakarta, coupled with inadequate land availability, has resulted in crowded and uninhabitable settlements, which adversely affect sustainability and livability. This research examines the concept of livability which reflects the quality of life of residents influenced by the resilience of the environment in meeting physical and non-physical needs. Key comfort factors include economic, social, building quality, environmental, and infrastructure elements. This research focuses on the Mojosongo slum area, which has a high level of density and is close to the center of economic activity. Although the government has successfully reduced the number of slums from 18 to 6 slums in Mojosongo, further analysis of the factors influencing the improvement of slum quality is still needed. This research uses a deductive approach with descriptive quantitative research methods and factor analysis techniques, data collected from 84 respondents through proportional random sampling. The results showed that there are 3 factors that significantly influence the improvement of Mojosongo slum quality, namely basic environmental infrastructure factors, building legality status factors and socio-economic factors.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis tingkat kelayakhunian (livability) permukiman di Kawasan Semanggi, Kota Surakarta, kawasan dengan area kumuh terbesar di kota ini dengan luas 76,03 hektar. Melalui program revitalisasi KOTAKU (Kota Tanpa Kumuh), pemerintah telah melakukan perbaikan, termasuk penataan permukiman kumuh, pembangunan infrastruktur, dan penyediaan ruang publik. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan analisis Skoring berdasarkan variabel seperti kelayakhunian bangunan, aksesibilitas, prasarana pendukung, ruang terbuka hijau, serta aspek sosial-ekonomi masyarakat. Penelitian ini menggunakan 85 sampel dalam analisisnya. Abstrak Penelitian ini menganalisis tingkat kelayakhunian (livability) permukiman di Kawasan Semanggi, Kota Surakarta, menggunakan 21 indikator livability. Hasil analisis menunjukkan skor tingkat livability sebesar 88,88%, yang tergolong tinggi sesuai dengan rentang kategori 66,7–100%. Aspek seperti konstruksi bangunan, sarana pendidikan, kesehatan, dan ruang terbuka hijau mendukung livability yang baik, meskipun ditemukan kekurangan pada prasarana pengamanan kebakaran dan jalur pedestrian yang aman. Studi ini menunjukkan keberhasilan program revitalisasi pemerintah, namun perlu peningkatan infrastruktur untuk mendukung kelayakhunian secara berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini memberikan rekomendasi strategis untuk mengentaskan permasalahan kawasan kumuh dan menciptakan lingkungan permukiman yang lebih layak huni.

Abstract

Local wisdom is essential in urban development planning by bringing cultural values. Local wisdom in housing and settlements forms special characteristics both in spatial and social aspects. Chinatown is a form of residential area created by Chinese community groups. Sudiroprajan Chinatown Village is the center of Chinese settlement which is also located in the economic center area of Surakarta City. The method used in this research is qualitative with literature study, observation, description and analysis of settlement character based on physical and non-physical characteristics. Chinatown Village has a linear pattern following the road and is influenced by feng shui in arranging the interior and exterior of housing. Most residents in Sudiroprajan Chinatown Village work in the trade and services sector, namely by opening businesses in house buildings or at Pasar Gede. The temple is also the worship centre for Chinese residents in Chinatown Village. The local wisdom found in Chinatown Village influences other activities, such as the emergence of economic activities and cultural tourism. This shows that local wisdom influences the character and condition of settlements physically and non-physically.

Abstract

Livability is the comfort of residing in an environment (Lynch, 1998) and reflects the quality of life in settlements. Areas around the Putri Cempo Landfill, though violating PUPR Ministerial Regulation No.3/2013 and facing environmental and health issues, remain a livelihood source for low-income migrants. This study analyzes the suitability of the Livability concept based on seven components (economy, health, environment, infrastructure, safety, community participation, and building conditions) using a quantitative descriptive method through field observations, questionnaires (100 respondents), and weighting analysis. Results show a Livability score of 74.42 (moderately suitable), with optimal achievements in safety (97.5), building conditions (96.5), and health (95), but low scores in environmental quality (20.75) due to air pollution and limited community participation (36.5). Most residents rely on the informal sector (62%) with incomes ≥IDR 2.5 million/month (72%), while basic infrastructure is adequate except for GOS (12%). Although 95% of respondents reported no severe health issues, environmental risks persist. The conclusion emphasizes the need for integrated interventions to improve air quality, expand public spaces, and strengthen community participation to achieve sustainable settlements aligned with Livability principles.
