Abstract

This study aims to determine the significant relationship between the question-and-answer method and students' learning motivation in class XI at SMK Jambi Medan. This type of research is correlational. The population in this study were all students of Class XI at Jambi Medan Private Vocational School, which consisted of 3 (three) classes, namely: class XI-1, class XI-2, and class XI-3. The sample of this research was 71 people taken from 36 students in class XI-1 and 35 students in class XI-2. The instruments used in this study were questionnaires, documentation, and interviews. The questionnaire used was 33 questions with 5 (five) answer options, the value given for each answer was: a. Always (score 5), b. Often (score 4), c. Sometimes (score 3), d. Rarely (score 2), and e. Never (score 1). From the results of the research and discussion that has been carried out, several conclusions have been obtained, including There is a co-significant relationship between Q&A style and students' learning motivation in XI SMK Private Jambi Medan class, which can be seen from the data of rcount (0.770) is greater than the rtable (0.279) at a significant level of 5%, or it can be formulated as 0.770 > 0.279. If seen from the interpretation table "r" product moment rcount (0.770) is located at point 0.70-0.90, it can be said to have a strong and high relationship or a significant relationship to student learning motivation

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe the importance of character education for students in the era of digitalization in producing students who are disciplined, honest, responsible, tolerant, self-confident, communicative and creative, in accordance with the ideals of Pancasila in order to develop moral students. The research method used was by distributing questionnaires, questionnaires, documentation. The questionnaire given regarding character was immediately filled in by all first semester students at the Indonesian Business and Computer Institute. The research results show that character education is very important to prevent moral and ethical decline, so character education must be promoted from the start of entering college. From the results of the research, students were provided with several main character values, including: religiousness, nationalism, integrity, independence and cooperation. Each value does not stand and develop independently, but interacts with each other, developing dynamically and forming a whole

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to improve the quality and effectiveness of message exchanges that occur in various communication contexts within the learning process. This research was conducted at SMK Jambi Medan with a sample of 39 class X students. Communication management is the process of managing communication resources that are frequently used in everyday life, including in the surrounding environment. The communication context referred to here means the individual, interpersonal, organizational, governmental, and social levels of communication. The positive impact of digital era learning media as an efficiency of communication management technological advances, providing many creative and challenging games that are apparently popular with students. The presence of digital technology does provide many benefits and can streamline communication management because work can be done easily and information becomes faster to access via the internet. However, behind it all, there are a million threats lurking, especially in generation 4.0. They are willing to spend most of their time with gadgets rather than playing in their environment. It is truly a heartbreaking reality, gadgets have become a new life for them. The negative impacts and side effects of using digital technology can include decreased academic achievement due to excessive use, limiting physical activity needed for children's growth and development, hampered development of children's social and language skills due to being introduced to gadgets early (especially at the age of under 2 years), brain development is not optimal due to unbalanced developmental stimulation, eye health problems (screen time should be limited to a maximum of 2 hours per day), concentration problems (intermittently looking at and checking gadgets), sleep problems, the amount of sleep time, and poor quality of sleep (due to the content of the viewing), no privacy, allowing personal data to be taken, child predators, cyber bullying, and others, problems with pornography, violence, or the instillation of negative values
