Abstract

Modern society does not have much time and adequate rest. The high demands of work and limited time make them trapped in stress. As a result, many people experience various health problems. One of these diseases is rheumatism. Rheumatism or rheumatoid arthritis is a condition that can cause pain, swelling and a burning sensation in the joints. This activity has the benefit of increasing community knowledge and skills in the hope of creating community independence so that the elderly can be healthy, independent, active and productive. This activity uses a participatory model that involves community components such as village heads, elderly cadres and the community, especially the elderly. The number of participants was 30 people. The location of this community service was carried out in the Ujung Gurap Village Hall, Padangsidimpuan Batunadua District, Padangsidimpuan City. This type of service is health promotion by providing information, demonstrating the use and use of lily leaves. The methods used in this activity include providing information, demonstrations, training, discussions and questions and answers. The media used in this activity are leaflets, guidebooks and ppt slides. The final result that can be seen from this training activity is that the majority of people are able to know the materials and tools needed to practice using daffodil leaves and know exactly the steps needed in the process of using them. The community looked orderly and in accordance with what was directed by the team in this activity. The activity of practicing the use of lily leaves to relieve rheumatic pain in the elderly in Ujung Gurap Village was successfully carried out.

Abstract

Pada kasus apendisitis biasanya dilakukan tindakan operasi (apendiktomi) yang dapat menimbulkan respons berupa nyeri. Rasa nyeri tersebut biasanya timbul setelah operasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran nyeri pada pasien postoperasi apendisitis. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif, dengan metode penelitian deskriptif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua pasien apendisitis yang dirawat diruang rawat bedah RSUD Kota Padangsidimpuan, jadi sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 16 orang. Analisis data meliputi analisis univariat yang dilakukan untuk menggambarkan distribusi frekuensi masing-masing variabel, baik variabel bebas, variabel terikat maupun deskripsi karakteristik responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan semua responden mengatakan nyeri muncul setelah operasi yaitu 16 responden (100,0%), nyeri paling banyak menjawab karena luka operasi sebanyak 11 responden (68,8%), rasa nyeri yang dirasakan mayoritas menjawab seperti ditusuk tusuk yaitu 10 responden (62,5%), skala nyeri terbanyak berada pada skala 6,7, dan 8 masing- masing sebanyak 4 responden (25,0%), dan berdasarkan kategori nyeri mayoritas berada pada kategori nyeri berat yaitu 10 responden (62,5%). Disarankan agar penelitian ini dapat dipakai sebagai masukan sehingga dapat digunakan sebagai bahan evaluasi atau pertimbangan dalam meningkatkan pelayanan dalam memberikan asuhan keperawatan pada pasien postoperasi apendisitis.

Abstract

Masalah utama yang dihadapi di Indonesia dibidang kependudukan adalah masih tingginya angka pertumbuhan penduduk dimana perilaku masyarakat dalam pengambilan keputusan menjadi akseptor keluarga berencana dipengaruhi beberapa faktor yang dilihat dari aspek-aspek agama, psikologis, sosial, budaya, dan sosioekonomi. Hambatan agama umumnya berupa pandangan yang bersifat pronatalis (setuju akan jumlah kelahiran yang alamiah). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perilaku pasangan usia subur (PUS) dalam pengambilan keputusan menjadi akseptor keluarga berencana dengan jenis penelitian Kuantitatif dan desain deskriptif melalui pendekatan cross sectional. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 71 orang. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan Total Sampling yang telah dilakukakan pada bulan Juli sampai Agustus 2020 di Desa Hutatinggi dengan menggunakan instrumen berupa kuesioner. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari 71 responden mayoritas pasangan usia subur memiliki pengetahuan baik sebanyak 36 orang (50,7%) dan mayoritas pasangan usia subur bersikap positif sebanyak 65 orang (92%) dalam pengambilan keputusan menjadi akseptor keluarga berencana (KB). Sebagai bahan pertimbangan dan masukan diharapkan pelayanan kesehatan untuk tetap meningkatkan penyuluhan keluarga berencana agar dapat menambah informasi sehingga pengetahuan pasangan usia subur tentang keluarga berencana akan tetap baik.

Abstract

Instant noodles are block-shaped noodle products that are ready to be cooked and are usually in a dry condition accompanied by spices and/or seasoning oil which are packaged in separate packages. The results of the 2018 Basic Health Research stated that 7.8% of Indonesians consume instant noodles/other foods every day, 58.8% of Indonesians consume 1 to 6 packs per week and 33.8% consume instant noodles for less than three months. The reason instant noodles are a favorite food among all people is due to the lack of time in serving daily food. The aim of the study was to find out how the habit of consuming instant noodles for the health of boarding children at UD. Diana, Village of Batunadua Jae. This type of qualitative research, phenomenological study design. The informants of this study were boarding children at UD. Diana Batunadua sub-district as many as 10 informants. The informant selection technique was purposive sampling. Data collection technique is interview using an interview guide. Data processing includes data reduction and display. Data analysis consists of specifying certain symbols in making predictions on data, drawing conclusions and verifying and narrating the results. The results showed that informants like to consume instant noodles on the grounds that instant noodles are easier, more practical, delicious, easy to reach and relatively cheap. Most of the informants consumed instant noodles 1-2 times a week. Most of the informants felt no complaints and a small number of informants felt complaints such as itching around the body, nausea, difficulty defecating and headaches. Most of the informants really like to consume instant noodles even though they already know the impact on health. It is suggested that informants can sort out healthy foods to avoid various health impacts.

Abstract

Schools are one of the sources of waste, both organic and inorganic. As a place where many people gather, schools can produce large amounts of waste, in addition to markets, households, industries, and offices. This community service aims to improve students' skills in sorting waste at school as part of environmental conservation efforts. This community service aims to improve students' skills in sorting waste at school as part of environmental conservation efforts. This activity uses a participatory model that involves school components such as teachers and elementary school students. The activity is carried out with elementary school students as the main target. There were 30 participants. This community service was carried out at SD Muhammadiyah 3 Kota Padangsidimpuan. This type of community service was health promotion by providing information on waste sorting. The methods used in this activity were lectures using PowerPoint and banners. The community service techniques used in this activity were health promotion, discussion, and question and answer sessions. The final result of this community service activity was that most students were able to understand the material presented on waste sorting. The community appeared to be orderly and followed the instructions given by the team during this activity. All participants stated that this community service activity was very useful because it increased students' knowledge on waste sorting. This community service activity was successfully implemented.

Abstract

One of the developing countries that produces the most waste is Indonesia. The waste problem in Indonesia is now a serious threat if not handled properly. Waste reduction efforts aim to ensure that all elements of society, including the government, the business sector, and the general public, can implement waste reduction measures. Elementary schools are the most important educational institutions for teaching students how to behave appropriately in accordance with the norms of the environment in which they live. The purpose of this study was to determine the knowledge, attitudes, and actions of students in waste sorting at SD Muhammadiyah 3 Kota Padangsidimpuan. This was a quantitative study with a descriptive design. The population and sample consisted of 30 fifth-grade elementary school students. The sampling technique used was total sampling. The research instrument was a questionnaire. The questionnaire consisted of four parts, namely respondent identity, knowledge questionnaire, attitudes, and actions in waste sorting. Data processing was carried out through editing, coding, and entry. Data analysis used univariate analysis. The results of this study showed that the majority of elementary school students had sufficient knowledge, namely 18 students (60%). The attitudes of elementary school students were positive, namely 26 students (86.7%). The actions of elementary school students were to sort waste, with 25 students (83.3%) doing so. It is recommended that schools improve their environmental education programs to be more interactive, such as through hands-on waste sorting practices, school waste banks, and classroom cleanliness competitions so that students become accustomed to sorting waste.
