Abstract

This research seeks to accomplish two objectives: first, to identify the mineral makeup and elements that comprise basalt rock used for hot stone massage, and second, to determine the physical characteristics of the basalt rock employed for this purpose. Currently, basalt rock is not utilized in Indonesia for hot stone massage, and the mineral content and elements that make up this rock remain unknown. Consequently, it is crucial to determine the mineral makeup and physical characteristics of basalt rock used for hot-stone massage. This study employed experimental laboratory research methods using an observation technique to gather data. The samples were analyzed using an experimental approach at the Quality Control Laboratory, using XRD and XRF instruments to determine the mineral content and elements that make up basalt rock for hot stone massage. The results of this research reveal that the mineral contents and elements that make up basalt rock for hot stone massage include oxide compounds, such as SiO2, Al2O3, Fe2O3, K2O, MgO, and Na2O. Additionally, the physical characteristics of basalt rock, including its dark color, fine-grained texture, and igneous origin, make it suitable for use in hot-stone massage. Furthermore, basalt rock is advantageous to human health.

Abstract

Sweet potato (Ipomea batats) is a root plant that can live in all weather, in mountainous areas and on the coast.. This plant is one of the important food crops in Indonesia, and makes Indonesia the second largest sweet potato producer after China. However, according to data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), sweet potato production in Indonesia in 2018 decreased by 5.63% when compared to production in 2017 which reached 1,914,244 tons (Gultom, 2021). Based on these data, it is important to conduct research on pest and disease detection in plants. Therefore, the author conducted a study related to this problem entitled Detection of Diseases and Pests on the Leaves of Sweet Potato Plants using Yolov4 with the aim of helping educate farmers in recognizing diseases on the leaves of sweet potato plants and how to overcome them. In this study the dataset was sweet potato leaves with a total of 1500 data divided into three classes, namely aspidomorpha, yellow spot and normal leaves with 4000 iterations. The best training results on 1500 data with 75% accuracy. The Yolov4 algorithm produces high accuracy in detecting diseases in the leaves of sweet potato plants.

Abstract

Malacca is one of the districts that has a weaving culture and also produces woven cloth in East NusaTenggara. The large number of types of woven cloth from each Malacca tribe means that outsiders andeven native Malacca people are not yet familiar with typical Malacca motifs, therefore a system isneeded that can help make it easier for people to recognize the types of woven fabric motifs. Malaccawoven fabric in this study was used to detect the types of woven fabric motifs in Malacca district usingthe YOLOv4 method. The results of detecting Malacca woven fabric motifs correspond to each type ofwoven fabric. Apart from that, the Malacca woven fabric motif detection system with YOLOv4technology is an effective and efficient solution in recognizing Malacca woven fabric motifs. Malaccawoven fabric is classified into four classes with an impressive mAP score of 100%.

Abstract

Computers have become one of the technological tools that play a crucial role in enhancing society's productivity. Therefore, many desktop computer users assemble their own computers to achieve computer performance according to their preferences or needs. However, some people lack information about the variations, specifications, and capabilities of each computer component to be assembled. This research offers a recommendation system that is part of a decision support system (DSS) to assist users in providing recommendations for computer components that are being sought and needed based on brand, price, and specifications using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Profile Matching methods. Parameters are based on the processor, motherboard, graphics card (VGA), storage, RAM, power supply, and casing with priority categories based on specifications, price, and brand. Data weighting is done using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method, while the Profile Matching method is used for ranking the weighting results. The research results show an accuracy rate of 60% using the Profile Matching method, while the AHP method achieves an accuracy rate of 57%.

Abstract

Pembuatan perawatan wajah dengan memanfaatkan bahan alami pada  PKK yang dilakukan pada masyarakat khususnya di Dukuh Gunung Gempal Kelurahan Giripeni, Wates bertujuan untuk: 1)meningkatkan pengetahuan dalam pemanfaatan bahan alami untuk perawatan wajah , 2)meningkatkan keterampilan dalam pemanfaatan bahan alami untuk perawatan wajah, 3)memberikan inspirasi, motivasi dan bekal keterampilan  untuk perawatan wajah menggunakan bahan alami. Metode yang digunakan 4D (define, design, developmen, dessiminate).  Adanya pelatihan perawatan wajah diharapkan ibu PKK untuk merawat dan menjaga kesehatan kulit wajah agar wajah terhindar dari flek hitam, wajah kering, jerawat, penuaan dini dan wajah kusam. Masyarakat menilai hasil kegiatan sangat bermanfaat dengan rerata skor 3,97,  dan memiliki rerata skor 3,99 untuk kepuasan  materi. Hasil penilaian terhadap instruktur/ penyampai materi sangat baik memiliki rerata skor 3,94.

Abstract

Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat adalah 1) memberi pengetahuan umum bahan flannel dapat dijadikan pembuatan hand bouquet, 2) melatih ibu PKK Dukuh Kembang untuk membuat hand bouquet berbahan flannel. Metode yang dilakukan menggunakan 4D yaitu: Define;waktu senggang yang terbuang tanpa menghasilkan kreasi bermanfaat, butuh pelatihan yang berpotensi untuk meningkatkan skill dan menghasilkan pemasukan keluraga, Design:bahan flanel dibuat rancangan bunga, Development proses pembuatan hand bouquet, Dessiminate memberikan pelatihan ibu PKK yang berprofesi sebagai ibu rumah tangga, hasilnya dapat di jual untuk peningkatan ekonomi keluarga. Hasil kegiatan 1). bahan flanel dapat dijadikan kreasi hand bouquet materinya disajikan berupa video dan hand out 2). pelatihan Handbouqette diberikan dengan praktek langsung menggunakan alat, bahan yang dibutuhkan. Narasumber mneyampaikan dengan ceramah, demonstrasi dan pendampingan pembuatan hand bouquet dibuat untuk acara wisuda,acara pengantin dan lainnya. Pelatihan dilakukan pada ibu PKK di Dukuh Kembang dengan perolehan rerata skor evaluasi kegiatan 3,69 berada di ranking sangat puas dan memeperoleh rerata skor kepuasan masyarakat terhadap kegiatan 3,9 berada di ranking sangat baik. Kegiatan berlangsung mulai dari Maret sampai September 2022 berjalan dengan lancar, sukses dan respon peserta pelatihan puas. Kata kunci: pelatihan, flanel, hand bouquet, Dukuh Kembang

Abstract

UKM Mebel merupakan salah satu sektor potensial dikota Malang, bahkan memiliki beberapa sentra UKM di memerapa kecamatan. Tantangan yang dihadapi diantaranya keterbatasan sumber daya, modal dan persaingan yang ketat serta semalin meningkatnya kepedulian konsumen mengenai pemeliharaan lingkungan, maka penerapan strategi Sirkular Manufakturing dapat menjadi salah satu strategi yang dapat dilakukan. Penelitian yang dilakukan menggunakan analisis kuantitatif melalui survey. Setelah itu dilakukan identifikasi pengaruh adopsi sirkular manufaktur terhadap kinerja lingkungan dan ekonomi melalui analisis regresi linear. Dari penelitian ini dapat diketahui bahwa penerapan SM terbukti memberikan dampak positif terhadap kinerja lingkungan dan ekonomi UKM mebel masing-masing sebesar 0,65 dan 0,7. Sedangkan untuk hubungan antara kinerja lingkungan dan ekonomi berdampak positif sebesar 0,6. Implementasi SM seperti penggunaan bahan baku daur ulang dan pengurangan limbah produksi telah berhasil mengurangi dampak lingkungan, sementara efisiensi penggunaan bahan baku dan pengurangan biaya produksi meningkatkan profitabilitas UKM.

Abstract

This research addresses the challenge of detecting emotional expressions in children with special needs, who often rely on nonverbal communication due to difficulties in verbal expression. Traditional emotion detection methods struggle to accurately recognize subtle emotions in these children, which can lead to communication barriers in educational and therapeutic settings. This study proposes the use of the Yolov4-Tiny model, a lightweight and efficient object detection architecture, to accurately detect four key facial expressions: Angry, Happy, Smile, and Afraid. The dataset consists of 1500 images, evenly distributed across the four expression classes, captured under controlled conditions. The model was evaluated using various metrics, including Confidence, Precision, Recall, F1-Score, and Mean Average Precision (mAP), across different training-to-testing data splits. The results demonstrated that the Yolov4-Tiny model achieved high accuracy, with a perfect mAP of 100% for balanced and slightly imbalanced splits, and a minimum mAP of 93.1% for more imbalanced splits. This high level of performance highlights the model's robustness and potential for application in educational and therapeutic environments, where understanding emotional expressions is critical for providing tailored support to children with special needs. The proposed system offers a significant improvement over traditional methods, enhancing communication and emotional support for this vulnerable population.

Abstract

The prostate gland is one of the parts of the male reproductive system. The prostate gland is one of the organs that is not infrequently affected by cancer. Prostate cancer is one of the top diseases that often appears as one of the deadly diseases in the world. Including in Asia, the incidence of prostate cancer patients averages 7.21 per 100,000 men each year. To identify the symptoms of cancer, early detection in men can usually be done through a rectal examination. However, there is another method that utilizes imaging technology, specifically MRI images for prostate cancer, to determine the size of the cancer. By applying image processing methods such as Watershed segmentation and the Multiclass Support Vector Machine method, it is possible to classify the type of prostate cancer through MRI images. From the research conducted, it can be explained that the segmentation results of MRI images for prostate cancer using the Watershed method can show the detected cancer area spots. Meanwhile, the use of the MultiSVM method for classification shows an accuracy result of 90.166% for the polynomial kernel type.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengklasifikasi kualitas guru PAUD di Kecamatan Hanau menggunakan metode Decision Tree dengan algoritma C4.5. Kualitas guru PAUD merupakan faktor penting yang memengaruhi perkembangan anak usia dini, sehingga perlu dilakukan evaluasi dan peningkatan kualitas pengajar. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini diperoleh melalui kuesioner yang diisi oleh para guru PAUD di wilayah penelitian. Setelah dilakukan proses preprocessing data, model Decision Tree dibangun untuk mengklasifikasi kualitas guru berdasarkan variabel pendidikan terakhir dan lama pengalaman mengajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa algoritma C4.5 memberikan performa yang baik, dengan akurasi sebesar 83%. Analisis pohon keputusan mengungkapkan bahwa faktor pendidikan terakhir dan lama mengajar merupakan determinan utama yang memengaruhi kualitas kinerja guru PAUD di Kecamatan Hanau. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan yang dapat digunakan oleh para pengambil kebijakan dalam menyusun program peningkatan kualitas pengajaran di tingkat PAUD, khususnya di wilayah pedesaan seperti Kecamatan Hanau. Selain itu, rekomendasi untuk penelitian selanjutnya adalah menggunakan variasi data yang lebih luas serta mempertimbangkan algoritma lain untuk mencapai akurasi model yang lebih tinggi.
