AbstractBarbie doll for some people is only childhood plaything that holds memories, but for some others, it is a representation of one race that neglects the others. However, this problem was addressed in 2016 which when Mattel produced diverse dolls that represent people of other races, body types, skin colors, and many more.  Yet there is still one platform that they have not change, that is when they adapted into YouTube, the video blog or vlog concept of Barbie. These two mediums both are created by one giant company that should value the same ideology. This study is conducted using comparative study to analyze both medium and applied diversity theory by Parekh to find out the diversity concept valued by Mattel. Delivering ideas in a form of paragraphs, there are certain rules to follow for it to be accepted and easily understood by the targeted readers. However, with the rise of social media and the internet, there must be also changes in the world of language and literature. Some rules do not apply in this type of media, especially on Twitter. In 2012 Twivortiare, a novel consisting of a tweet compilation by Ika Natassa was released. This book is widely accepted by readers. In a text structure and text signal, this is very unusual. Using critical textual analysis the author finds out how ideas are being delivered in this type of literary work, whether it is disconnected or compiled. The issue of gender inequality and environmental, such as flooding, has recently become increasingly happened and discussed in the mass media. Both issues are well represented in the animated film Moana. There are many symbols in the animated film that can be related to both ecological theory and feminism. However, by using an ecofeminism approach, the author tries to analyze the symbols and codes that represent the exploitation of marginal parties in the film. From the results of the analysis, it was found that there are many representations related to the exploitation of women and the environment found in the film and this is relevant to the issue of equality and environmental issues today.

This research was conducted because of an interesting case that occurred at the Tajung Limau Islamic boarding school. The unique case that occurs is the integration effort that occurs between religious values and the effort to instill moderation in religion to manifest an attitude of tolerance. The research method used is a qualitative method with a case study model. The CSE study method is a qualitative research method which is carried out because of an interesting case that occurred in the community. Data collection was carried out by means of observation and interviews. Data analysis was performed using the triangulation method. The research results obtained are that moderation in religion has been carried out since planning, implementing and evaluating learning. Planting the values of religious moderation at the Thawalib Islamic Boarding School Tanjung Limau, Pariangan District, is carried out by incorporating the values contained in the concept of moderation. So that the effort made is an effort to integrate science with religion. Kemampuan membaca dan melihat merupakan sebuah privilege bagi mereka yang tidak memiliki anugerah tersebut. Membaca khususnya bukan hanya menjadi media untuk menambah ilmu, namun juga untuk sarana hiburan serta pelestarian budaya dan sastra berbagai daerah. Rumusan masalah dalam artikel ini adalah bagaimana akses teman-teman tunanetra untuk mempelajari budaya dan sastra melayu. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah memberikan akses buku audio Sastra Melayu kepada teman-teman tunanetra untuk pelestarian budaya dan sastra Melayu. Metode pelaksanaan dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah pengenalan di bidang sastra budaya Melayu melalui pembuatan buku audio judul terpilih dan pendekatan partisipatif dari komunitas tersebut. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah sebuah buku audio yang diperkenalkan kepada komunitas tunanetra di Pekanbaru. Penerimaan yang hangat oleh komunitas ini menunjukkan bahwa diperlukan lebih banyak akses yang seharusnya disediakan oleh masyarakat kepada komunitas disabilitas di berbagai aspek.

This research is motivated by the poor learning outcomes of the first-grade students at SDN Grogol Utara 09. So far, in learning Mathematics, teachers only emphasize cognitive aspects. Where the teacher explains a lot of material and gives questions to students without paying attention to how well students understand the subject. This in turns push the students to get bored quickly and are not enthusiastic about learning. As a result, interest and learning outcomes in mathematics decrease. The purpose of this study was to find out whether student learning outcomes have increased in terms of place value in numbers using the demonstration method and glass media in grade 1 students at SDN Grogol Utara 09. This research was conducted in two cycles on the material place value in numbers. Based on the results of the improvement, it turned out that it was able to increase the achievement of grade 1 students at SDN Grogol Utara in Mathematics. It was proven by obtaining the class average scores in the 1st cycle improvement, namely 62.5 and 79.5 in the 2nd cycle improvement. It was stated that there was an increase of 17 points. Thus, the use of the Demonstration method with glass media in learning Mathematics about determining place value in numbers turns out to be able to improve grade 1 student achievement at SDN Grogol Utara 09 in Mathematics

This research is prompted by the lack of understanding of science subject students within the chapter of Characteristics of Living Things in grade IV of 064955 Medan primary school in the academic year of 2022/2023, which consists of 26 students. At the pre-cycle stage, the learning method used was traditional and not engaging. The aim of the research is to improve the students' natural science learning through the application of the natural environment approach, students learn outside the classroom by observing plants and animals in the environment around the school. Implementation of remedial research carried out over 2 cycles. Each cycle found an increase in the improvement of science learning. The increase in the improvement of science learning in each cycle can be seen from the attitude of students who are active, diligent and able to do assignments well and on time. Study results show an increase in the average value of each cycle, at pre-cycle at 63.23, cycle 1 at 67.3 and cycle 2 at 76.5. In terms of completeness, it can be seen from the increase in percent, in pre-cycle it achieved 30.7%, cycle 1 achieved 61.5% and cycle 2 reached 100%. Writing scientific papers is one way to improve critical thinking skills. In an era of increasingly developing information, critical thinking skills are needed to obtain accurate and valid information. The purpose of this study is to determine how writing scientific papers can improve critical thinking skills. The research method used is a literature study using various sources related to scientific writing and critical thinking skills. The results of the study show that writing scientific papers can improve critical thinking skills because it involves the process of data collection, data analysis, and problem-solving. In addition, writing scientific papers also trains the ability to select relevant and valid information, as well as draw conclusions based on existing facts. However, writing scientific papers also has challenges that must be faced, such as difficulties in organizing information, writing systematically, and paying attention to grammar. This literary research delves into the life of Nyai Ontosoroh, who lived during postcolonialism and societal gender stereotypes. It aims to analyze the tactics she used to make the most of her social, cultural, and economic capital. This research will employ a qualitative approach to analyze the life and experiences of Nyai Ontosoroh using Bourdieu's critical reading framework. The study will utilize secondary sources to identify and categorize the different forms of capital available to the character and examine how they intersected with her experiences of postcolonialism and gender stereotypes, which provides a lens to understand how people can leverage different forms of capital to achieve their goals. Through this analysis, the study discovered that Nyai Ontosoroh was able to take advantage of the capitals provided by her illegitimate husband to navigate the difficulties of being a woman in the era. The findings of the research showcase the remarkable abilities of Nyai Ontosoroh in utilizing her capitals and highlight the critical role of social capital in shaping the experiences of women during this historical time. This study examines the denormalisation of sexual violence against women in the #MeToo movement-themed Hollywood films. The strong presence of the social-political #MeToo movement in the past decade has influenced Hollywood films. The movement plays a major role in increasing public awareness of how devastating sexual abuse is against women and in challenging the current patriarchal system in society. This study uses descriptive research methods and adopts thematic analysis to critically analyse the denormalisation of sexual violence against women in Hollywood films with the #MeToo movement as their theme. This research used three Hollywood films as the units of analyses: On the Record, Athlete A, and Bombshell. This study found that these films are essential in denormalising sexual violence against women on screen. The findings show the three important characteristics shared among these three films. First, they shed light on the existence of the power imbalance between the perpetrators and victims. Second, they show the transformation of female victims of sexual violence into feminist figures. Last, they denormalise sexual abuse. The findings benefit academics who are interested in movie and gender studies as well as practitioners who promote gender equality and women’s rights.Keywords : Hollywood film; the #MeToo Movement; Sexual Violence; Denormalisation of Sexual Violence
