Abstract

Abstract

This community service activity aims to empower the rural community’s economy through the integration of online and offline marketing in tailoring businesses. The main problems faced by the partners include limited digital literacy, low utilization of computer applications, and conventional marketing strategies. The method applied in this program was a participatory approach consisting of observation, training, mentoring, and monitoring and evaluation stages. The training focused on the use of simple computer applications, digital literacy, and integrated online–offline marketing strategies. The results indicate an improvement in partners’ ability to manage their businesses digitally, expand market reach, and enhance business independence and income. The integration of online and offline marketing has proven effective in strengthening the competitiveness of rural tailoring businesses and promoting sustainable economic empowerment. This program is expected to serve as an applicable empowerment model that can be replicated in other micro-business sectors in rural areas.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of Islamic Microfinance Institutions (LKMS), particularly Baitul Qiradh, in enhancing the income and welfare of micro-entrepreneurs in East Aceh Regency, Aceh Province. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed, using data collection techniques such as in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. The participants consisted of Baitul Qiradh managers, micro-entrepreneurs, and community leaders familiar with the development of Sharia-based economic activities. The findings reveal that Baitul Qiradh plays a strategic role across three major dimensions: economic, social, and spiritual. Economically, financing through mudharabah and musyarakah contracts has improved access to capital, income levels, and business stability. Socially, entrepreneurship training and mentoring programs have strengthened solidarity, collaboration, and social networks among business actors. Spiritually, the implementation of Islamic principles such as honesty, trustworthiness, and justice has shaped ethical and equitable business behavior. Overall, this study concludes that Baitul Qiradh functions not only as a financial institution but also as an agent of economic and social empowerment based on Islamic values, contributing to sustainable local economic development

Abstract

Southeast Sulawesi province, as one of the cocoa baskets and the center of the National Cocoa Movement (GERNAS), continues to experience a decline in cocoa production and land area. One factor is the widespread conversion of cocoa land. This phenomenon needs to be highlighted and studied further because it can affect the sustainability of the cocoa value chain in Southeast Sulawesi. This study aims to determine what factors influence cocoa farmers in converting cocoa farmland to other farms in Southeast Sulawesi Province's two leading cocoa-producing districts. The research sites were purposely selected because they are the two leading cocoa-producing districts in the province. This study used logistic regression analysis. Cocoa farmers in Kolaka district converted cocoa land to patchouli farming, while cocoa farmers in East Kolaka district converted their cocoa land to rice farming. The analysis results show that the main factors that significantly influence cocoa farmers' decision to convert cocoa land are cocoa farming experience and the price of other commodities (including the level of income farmers receive from farming other commodities). The primary policy that the government can take in maintaining cocoa land area is to provide price certainty for cocoa itself. So far, cocoa farmers have always faced price uncertainty, and cocoa's value chain and sustainability in Southeast Sulawesi Province need to be clarified.
