Abstract

This research was conducted to evaluate POTWIS application by highlighting three usability concepts that effectiveness, efficiency, and the satisfaction of the user in using POTWIS application measured by usability testing methode, Performance Measurement, RTA, UEQ, and SUS technique. The purpose is to know the result of usability testing and improvement recommendation on POTWIS application based of the result of usability testing.The result of this research is based on analysis of statical calculation Mann Whitney U Test, UEQ dan SUS which showed (1) POTWIS application is not effective seen from the existance of the mistake made by respondent during the task, (2) POTWIS application is efficient seen from the time of task execution because the execution time between proficient group and beginner group was not significantly different, (3) POTWIS application has not met the scale of efficiency measured by UEQ with score 0.625 which showed below the average and (4) POTWIS application has not fulfilled user satisfaction measured by SUS with score 53.00 which is stated still below the average score is > 68.

Abstract

Nowadays, the implementation of chatbots in information systems is getting popular to increase user experience. In our previous research, we developed Undiksha Virtual Assistant (Shavira). Shavira is a knowledge management system (KMS) as Frequency Asked Question (FAQ) system to facilitate users to get an answer about their questions. The challenge on the existing Shavira system is that the users must open a website and type queries to get a list of answers. The text query must match with the keyword in systems. To address this problem and to avoid cognitive load, in this research we implemented a chatbot in Shavira. The purpose of the chatbot implementation in Shavira is to make information easier to be accessed and to increase user experience. The users can ask a question in natural language and get an answer immediately on their chat application such as: Telegram, Facebook, or Messenger. We used Rasa Framework as a chatbot engine in Shavira. Rasa Framework is an open-source virtual assistant engine based on artificial intelligence. The challenge in conducting this research is in integrating the existing FAQ system with Rasa Framework. This research consists of four phases, they are: adaptation data structure in the existing FAQ with data structure requested by Rasa framework, data integration and mapper, and evaluation. The result of this research is a new Shavira that is integrated with a chatbot and can be accessed from chat applications such as Telegram.  We evaluated the accuracy of Shavira powered by Rasa Framework with ten topics about academic information. The results showed that the accuracy of Shavira is 90%. We also evaluated the usability of Shavira with Software Usability Scale (SUS) Questionnaire. The usability evaluation showed that Shavira satisfied users with value  81 (threshold 68) and categorized Excellent, Acceptable and Prometer.

Abstract

Mobile-based academic evaluation systems, such as Computer-Based Tests (CBT), are vulnerable to cheating, including impersonation (proxy test-taking) and illegal collaboration, thereby necessitating more reliable monitoring mechanisms to safeguard exam validity. This study aimed to develop and implement a Face Recognition feature utilizing Google ML Kit as a monitoring system in the CBT Edu application and to examine user responses to its implementation. The research employed a research and development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation), with exam participants and prospective users as the subjects and Google ML Kit as the research object. Data were collected through questionnaires used to assess system functionality and user experience. The results show that the Face Recognition-based exam monitoring system was successfully designed and implemented in the CBT Edu application. Functional testing using white-box and black-box methods validated all features, while device compatibility and bandwidth consumption testing demonstrated stable performance across various devices and network conditions. User responses measured using the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) fell into the “very good” category, with the six dimensions of Attractiveness (5.93), Perspicuity, Efficiency, Dependability, Stimulation, and Novelty (5.72) achieving average scores above 5.7. These findings indicate that the integration of Face Recognition in the CBT Edu application is effective in enhancing exam validity and provides a practical solution to minimize cheating in mobile-based academic evaluation systems, while simultaneously delivering a positive user experience.

Abstract

The Final Project System at Undiksha plays an essential role in supporting academic administration; however, initial findings reveal issues related to navigation flow, interface clarity, and system feedback that reduce usability. This study analyzes the system’s usability and proposes a redesign using the Design Thinking approach through empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test stages. The pre-test evaluation indicated an effectiveness and efficiency score of 79.99% and a QUIS satisfaction score of 3.70. After implementing improvements in navigation, progress visualization, layout consistency, and responsive feedback, post-test results increased effectiveness to 91.67% and efficiency to 91.67%, while the satisfaction score rose to 4.74, representing a 28.1% improvement. These results demonstrate that the proposed redesign significantly reduces user errors, accelerates task completion, and enhances overall interaction quality. The study contributes empirical evidence supporting iterative interface improvements to optimize academic web services.

Abstract

Keamanan fisik pusat data berperan penting dalam menjamin keberlangsungan layanan teknologi informasi dari ancaman akses tidak sah dan tindakan kriminal. Pusat data UPA TIK Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha telah menerapkan sistem pengamanan dasar, namun masih menghadapi keterbatasan pada aspek pemantauan real-time, notifikasi otomatis, dan pengelolaan akses pengguna. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang dan mengembangkan smart lock system berbasis Internet of Things menggunakan ESP32 guna meningkatkan keamanan akses fisik pusat data. Sistem yang dikembangkan mengintegrasikan autentikasi RFID dan sidik jari, komunikasi antar perangkat melalui protokol MQTT, sensor magnetic door switch untuk mendeteksi akses ilegal, serta notifikasi real-time melalui bot Telegram. Sistem juga dilengkapi fitur pendaftaran pengguna secara dinamis tanpa perlu pemrograman ulang perangkat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan seluruh fungsi sistem berjalan sesuai spesifikasi dengan rata-rata latency sekitar 4 detik dan tingkat keberhasilan autentikasi 100%. RFID menawarkan respons yang cepat dan stabil namun memiliki risiko duplikasi dan kehilangan kartu, sedangkan sidik jari memberikan keamanan lebih tinggi meskipun latency-nya bervariasi. Secara keseluruhan, sistem ini mampu meningkatkan keamanan fisik pusat data secara terintegrasi dan responsif.

Abstract

Stigma-stigma di masyarakat yang mendiskreditkan Komunitas Kolok sebagai komunitas dengan tingkat emosional yang labil, dengan riwayat kasus pencurian, perkelahian, kekerasan dalam rumah tangga semakin menguatkan ketidakberterimaan masyarakat akan Komunitas Kolok. Hal ini berimplikasi pada terhambatnya Komunitas Kolok dalam mendapatkan pekerjaan dan ketimpangan kesetaraan sosial yang mempengaruhi kesehatan mental mereka. Maka dari itu, program ini memiliki tujuan untuk meningkatkan kesehatan mental dan pemberdayaan masyarakat ketunaan. Subjek dari pelaksanaan program ini, yaitu 48 orang anggota Komunitas Kolok. Sedangkan objek dari program ini, yaitu peningkatan resiliensi, kesehatan mental, dan kesejahteraan ekonomi melalui aktivitas pada fase-fase Pancali. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan berupa Pre-test dan Post-test dengan instrumen berupa angket. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan Uji-t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan aktivitas pada fase-fase Pancali memberikan peningkatan resiliensi, kesehatan mental, dan kesejahteraan ekonomi bagi anggota Komunitas Kolok. Penelitian ini berimplikasi pada kesehatan mental masyarakat ketunaan.

Abstract

Data center merupakan infrastruktur kritis yang menyimpan dan mengelola data penting sehingga memerlukan sistem pengamanan yang andal, khususnya terhadap risiko kebakaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang dan mengevaluasi sistem early warning kebakaran berbasis Internet of Things (IoT) pada Data Center UPA TIK Undiksha yang mampu mendeteksi potensi kebakaran secara dini, responsif, dan terintegrasi. Sistem dikembangkan dengan pendekatan pemantauan multi-parameter, meliputi deteksi api, asap, suhu, dan kelembaban lingkungan, serta dilengkapi mekanisme peringatan lokal dan notifikasi jarak jauh secara real-time. Evaluasi sistem dilakukan melalui pengujian fungsional dan pengujian performa untuk mengukur indikator kinerja utama, yaitu akurasi deteksi kondisi bahaya, waktu respon sistem (latency), keandalan pengiriman notifikasi, serta efisiensi konsumsi daya. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa sistem mampu mendeteksi indikasi kebakaran secara konsisten dengan rata-rata waktu respon sebesar 6 detik, serta berhasil mengirimkan notifikasi peringatan melalui Bot Telegram secara real-time. Selain itu, sistem memiliki konsumsi daya relatif rendah sehingga sesuai untuk operasional pemantauan berkelanjutan pada lingkungan data center. Kontribusi penelitian ini terletak pada perancangan dan evaluasi sistem early warning kebakaran berbasis IoT yang tidak hanya berfokus pada implementasi perangkat, tetapi juga pada analisis performa sistem secara menyeluruh.

Abstract

Improving user experience in accessing information on organizational websites remains a challenge. Users often face complex navigation and multi step searches that slow information retrieval. This study introduces the real time intelligent virtual assistant (RIVA), which integrates large language models (LLMs) with the retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) framework to support real-time interaction with website content. The system was implemented on the Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Undiksha) website using a WordPress content management system (CMS) and developed following the design science research (DSR) approach, which includes six stages: problem identification, solution objectives, design and development, demonstration, evaluation, and communication. The retrieval-augmented generation assessment (RAGAS) evaluation indicated that the combined model of text-embedding-ada-002 and semantic chunking yielded the best results, with context precision=0.83, context recall=0.90, response relevancy=0.91, faithfulness=0.83, and answer correctness=0.85. User experience questionnaire (UEQ) testing performed well, particularly in the novelty and stimulation dimensions. These results demonstrate that RIVA can provide users with access to relevant and engaging information. As a result, future research will focus on improving retrieval and developing adaptive semantic chunking for structured and complex data.
