Abstract

Televisi merupakan media yang menayangkan program acara sebagai sebuah wadah yang strategis, bagi kelompok sosial dan politik untuk tampil dengan berbagai olahan wacana. Salah satu program acara televisi yaitu Mata Najwa di Metro TV merupakan program yang memiliki rating peringkat dua di Indonesia berdasarkan survei KPI. Program Mata Najwa sering mengundang tokoh-tokoh dari berbagai kalangan masyarakat, tokoh politik, dan pemerintah. Acara ini berbagai macam praktik pembentukan wacana bisa muncul. Wacana yang baik harusnya memberikan bayangan yang utuh dan jelas kepada lawan tutur, sehingga tidak menimbulkan banyak persepsi. Dalam kajian analisis wacana, analisis wacana kritis model Van Dijk adalah salah satu model yang memandang bahasa berkaitan dengan kekuasaan, ideologi, serta politik. Berlandaskan hal ini, penting dilakukan analisis wacana kritis model Van Dijk terhadap program acara Mata Najwa. Penelitian ini dianalisis tiga permasalahan, pertama analisis struktur makro, super struktur, dan struktur mikro. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan deskriptif kualitatif, dengan metode observasi sebagai metode pengumpulan data. Hasil penelitian ini adalah secara struktur makro, super struktur, dan struktur mikro, wacana bisa digunakan sebagai sebuah sarana untuk pembentukan opini penutur melalui pilihan kata, susunan kalimat, dan gaya yang tepat.Television is a medium that shows the program as a strategic place for social and political groups to come up with various discourse processes. One of the television programs that is Mata Najwa in Metro TV is a program that has a rating of two in Indonesia based on KPI survey. The Mata Najwa Program often invites figures from various societies, political figures, and governments. In this program, a variety of discourse formation practices can emerge. Good discourse should provide a complete and clear shadow to the interlocutors, so that it does not cause a lot of perceptions. In the study of discourse analysis, critical discourse analysis of Van Dijk model is one of the models that look language related to power, ideology, and politics. Based on this, it is important to conducted critical discourse analysis of Van Dijk model to the Mata Najwa program. In this study, we analyzed three problems, first analysis of macro structure, super structure, and micro structure. This research uses descriptive qualitative research design, with observation method as data collection method. The results of this research are macro structures, super structures, and micro structures, discourse can be used as a medium for the formation of speaker opinions through word choice, sentence structure, and proper style.

Abstract

Dewasa ini berbagai macam masalah muncul ke permukaan menghiasi media. Hal ini mencerminkan terjadinya degradasi moral atau kemerosotan karakter. Padahal jika dicermati  nilai-nilai karakter sangat kental termuat dalam nilai-nilai lokalitas kebudayaan yang salah satunya adalah wayang Kamasan. Lukisan wayang Kamasan adalah budaya yang sarat dengan nilai-nilai moralitas. Berkaitan dengan hal ini penulis termotivasi untuk melakukan kajian terhadap sebuah film dokumenter yang berjudul “Sesuluh” yang secara materi film ini mengangkat wayang Kamasan serta nilai-nilai karakter pembentuk bangsa. Mengingat film banyak digandrungi masyarakat luas dan begitu menginspirasi bagi generasi penerus bangsa. Oleh karena itu dalam peneitian ini penulis mengangkat tiga permasalahan, yaitu pertama adalah bagaimanakah konsep film “Sesuluh”, kedua bagaimanakah cerita film “Sesuluh”, dan ketiga bagaimanakah eksplorasi nilai-nilai karakter yang terdapat dalam lukisan wayang Kamasan. Rancangan penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan metode wawancara dan observasi. Film dokumenter “Sesuluh” adalah jenis film dokumenter yang berdurasi 17 menit. Film ini mengambil konsep penggalian dan eksplorasi nilai karakter dalam wayang Kamasan, dengan menghadirkan tiga nara sumber yang berkompeten. Cerita film dibagi menjadi tiga babak, babak pertama membahas peran dan fungsi wayang kamasan, ketiga eksplorasi nilai karakter, dan ketiga berupa konklusi. Film “Sesuluh” ini merupakan sebuah media yang pantas dan patut dijadikan sarana pembentukan karakter bangsa.Today various problems surfaced adorn the media. This reflects the occurrence of moral degradation or deterioration of character. In fact, if we look at the character values are very thick, contained in the values of cultural locality, one of which is Kamasan wayang. Kamasan puppet paintings are cultures that are full of moral values. In connection with this the writer is motivated to conduct a study of a documentary film entitled “Sesuluh” which in this film materializes Kamasan wayang and the values of the nation’s forming characters. Considering the film is much loved by the wider community and so inspiring for the future generation. Therefore, in this study the author raises three problems, namely first is how the concept of the film “Sesuluh”, the second how the story of the film “Sesuluh”, and the third how to explore the character values contained in Kamasan puppet paintings. The design of this study is descriptive qualitative. Data collection method uses interview and observation methods. The documentary film “Sesuluh” is a type of documentary film that lasts 17 minutes. This film takes the concept of digging and exploring the value of characters in the Kamasan wayang, by presenting three competent resource persons. The film story is divided into three rounds, the first round discusses the roles and functions of kamasan puppet, the third is exploration of character values, and the third is conclusions. This “Sesuluh” film is an appropriate media and should be used as a means of forming the nation’s character.

Abstract

Dewasa ini masyarakat mulai diresahkan dengan berbagai macam permasalahan terorisme, pemerkosaan, korupsi, serta tindakan kriminal lainnya. Penggiatan pendidikan karakter sepertinya belum memeroleh maksimal. Padahal karakter masyarakat Indonesia seharusnya tidak lepas dari moralitas dalam kearifan lokal dalam bentuk seni budaya. Terutama Bali yang sarat dengan nilai seni budaya, yang salah satunya adalah kesenian musik tradisional Gong Kebyar. Ada bagian unik dalam setiap instrumen gong yang disebut dengan pandil yang berupa ukiran yang menceritakan kisah Ramayana. Tentu dalam kisah ini banyak sekali muatan nilai-nilai karakter dan moral, namun belum ada yang menerjemahkan serta menganalisisnya. Sebagai sebuah upaya untuk mengikutsertaan bidang kesenian dalam menanggulangi kemerosotan karakter,  penulis tertarik untuk manganalisis nilai-nilai karakter dan moral dalam pandil gong kebyar ini. Permasalahan serta tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsi cerita dan nilai-nilai karakter dalam pandil gong kebyar. Rancangan penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Penulis menggunakan metode observasi dan wawancara untuk mengumpulkan data penelitian.  Hasil penelitian ini menemukan ada sepuluh rangkaian cerita Ramayana serta beberapa memuat nilai-nilai moral, seperti tanggung jawab, kesetiaan, rela berkorban, ketidakserakahan, dan penegakkan kebenaran.Nowadays people are starting to be troubled by various problems of terrorism, rape, corruption, and other criminal acts. Activation of character education does not seem to have maximized. Whereas the character of Indonesian society should not be separated from morality in local wisdom in the form of cultural arts. Especially Bali which is full of artistic and cultural values, one of which is the traditional Gong Kebyar music art. There is a unique part in each gong instrument called pandil in the form of carvings which tells the story of Ramayana. Of course in this story there are a lot of character and moral values, but no one has translated or analyzed them. As an effort to participate in the arts in tackling the deterioration of character, the writer is interested in analyzing the character and moral values in the kebyar pandil gong. The problem and the purpose of this study is to describe the characters’ stories and values in the Pandil Gong Kebyar. The design of this study is descriptive qualitative. The author uses observation and interview methods to collect research data. The results of this study found that there are ten series of Ramayana stories and some contain moral values, such as responsibility, loyalty, willingness to sacrifice, injustice, and upholding the truth.

Abstract

Dari awal masa pandemi covid-19 segala kegiatan adat, sosial, dan budaya khususnya kegiatan kesenian seperti pelatihan menabuh untuk anak-anak di lingkungan Desa Adat Seminyak terpaksa harus dihentikan. Dihentikanya kegitan berkesenian tersebut disebabkan karena kesenian tersebut pastinya akan melibatkan personil dalam jumlah besar yang dianggap bertentangan dengan protokol kesehatan pada masa pandemi covid-19. Selain itu dalam kegitan berkesenian tersebut pesertanya adalah anak-anak yang dianggap rentan dapat terpapar virus covid-19. Hal tersebut menyebabkan kegiatan kesenian itu menjadi vakum kurang lebih selama tiga bulan dan dalam rentang waktu tersebut anak-anak desa kehilangan sebuah ruang untuk mengasah kreativitasnya khususnya dalam menabuh karawitan Bali. Dari hal tersebut maka penulis bermaksud untuk menawarkan sebuah solusi dari masalah di atas melalui sebuah program kerja di Desa Adat Seminyak. Adapun program kerja yang dimaksud adalah menyelenggarakan kembali proses latihan menabuh dengan menyesuaikan sistem penerapan kegiatan latihan agar sesuai dengan protokol kesehatan yang dianjurkan pada masa pandemi covid-19. Adapun penyesuaian sistem penerapan kegiatan latihan dengan protokol kesehatan yang dimaksud adalah sebagai berikut. 1). membagi waktu dan family instrument gamelan untuk mengurangi jumlah personil pada kegiatan latihanya sehingga tidak perlu lagi melibatkan personil dalam jumlah besar. 2). Menyemprotkan cairan desinfektan pada alat-alat gamelan secara berkala. 3). Menerapkan sistem jaga jarak. 4). Mewajibkan peserta untuk menggunakan masker pada kegiatan latihan serta 5). Mewajibkan peserta untuk selalu rajin mencuci tangan. Melalui penerapan program kerja tersebut, diharapkan kedepannya eksistensi dari kegiatan pengembangan seni budaya khususnya seni karawitan di Desa Adat Seminyak dapat bangkit kembali walupun masih di tengah suasanan pandemi covid-19.

Abstract

Sastra telah berkembang menjadi media yang memiliki pengaruh terhadap masyarakat. Salah satu karya sastra yaitu novel Sirkus Pohon hadir di tengah penikmat sastra dengan berbagai bentuk refleksi atau cerminan sosial masyarakat Indonesia. Novel ini sarat dengan muatan nilai-nilai yang berguna bagi masyarakat luas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis nilai-nilai yang terkandung di dalam novel dengan harapan dapat memberikan pembelajaran bersama. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode pengumpulan data berupa dokumentasi, observasi, dan studi pustaka. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa novel Sirkus Pohon karya Andrea Hirata memiliki muatan nilai-nilai sosial yang patut dipahami sebagai sebuah pembelajaran bersama. Penggambaran beberapa potret Indonesia seperti kemiskinan, kebodohan, kritik terhadap pemerintah, prestasi dan pendidikan yang tak berguna, dan politik yang kejam adalah cerminan kondisi masyarakat kini yang pantas dijadikan sebagai bahan pembelajaran. Literature has developed into a media that has an influence on society. One of the literary works, namely the Sirkus Pohon novel, is present in the middle of literary connoisseurs with various forms of reflection or social reflection of the Indonesian people. This novel is full of contents that are useful for the wider community. This study aims to analyze the values contained in the novel in hopes of providing shared learning. This research is a descriptive qualitative study with data collection methods in the form of documentation, observation, and literature. The results of this study indicate that the Sirkus Pohon novel by Andrea Hirata has a content of social values that should be understood as a shared learning. The portrayal of several Indonesian portraits such as poverty, ignorance, criticism of the government, useless achievements and education, and cruel politics is a reflection of the present condition of society that is worthy of being used as learning material.

Abstract

AbstrakPada tahun 2020 ini, Menteri Pendidikan, Nadiem Makarim, mengeluarkan kebijakan Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka. Hal yang menarik perhatian dalam kebijakan ini adalah kegiatan belajar di luar kampus. Terdapat delapan contoh kegiatan pembelajaran di luar kampus, yang meliputi kegiatan magang atau praktik kerja, proyek di desa, mengajar di sekolah, pertukaran pelajar, penelitian, kegiatan kewirausahaan, studi/proyek independen, dan proyek kemanusisaan. Aktualisasi kegiatan ini memerlukan sebuah referensi nyata yang dapat dijadikan pedoman. Film “Sokola Rimba” menawarkan konsep kegiatan-kegiatan ini dalam penceritaan filmnya. Oleh karena itu diperlukan penelitian secara mendalam terhadap film “Sokola Rimba”. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan sinopsis film “Sokola Rimba” dan mendeskripsikan konsep pendidikan yang memerdekakan. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah film “Sokola Rimba”. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah metode observasi dan studi literatur. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan terdapat tiga kegiatan yang divisualkan dalam film dari delapan contoh kegiatan kegiatan belajar di luar kampus, yaitu proyek kemanusiaan, proyek di desa, dan mengajar di sekolah.Kata Kunci: pendidikan, memerdekakan, film sokola rimba. AbstractIn 2020 the government issued a policy on “Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka”. The thing that attracts attention in this policy is learning activities off campus. There are eight examples of off-campus learning activities, internships or work practices, village projects, school teaching, student exchanges, research, entrepreneurial activities, independent studies / projects, and humanitarian projects. Actualization of this activity requires a real reference that can be used as a reference. The film "Sokola Rimba" visualizes the concept of these activities in the film's story. Then research is needed on the film "Sokola Rimba". This study aims to describe the synopsis of the film "Sokola Rimba" and describe the concept of liberating education. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The subject of this research is the film "Sokola Rimba". Data collection methods used are the method of observation and study of literature. The results of this study indicate there are three activities visualized in the film from eight examples of activities outside the campus learning activities, such as humanitarian projects, projects in villages, and teaching in schools.Keywords: education, liberation, sokola rimba films.

Abstract

AbstrakFilm dokumenter merupakan sebuah film yang menyajikan fakta kepada penontonnya dan dapat menjadi sebuah media kampanye mengenai suatu permasalahan. Film The Cove menampilkan kekejaman industri penangkaran dan pertunjukkan lumba-lumba dari sudut pandang seorang aktivis bernama Richard O’ Barry. The Cove kemudian tidak hanya menjadi sebuah film dokumenter, tapi juga menjadi media kampanye untuk bergerak melawan kekejaman terhadap industri tersebut. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif, dimana metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif-interpretatif. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori mengenai film dokumenter, genre dan gaya film dokumenter, unsur-unsur film dan teori komunikasi terkait dengan kampanye. Film The Cove menggunakan gaya participatory atau yang dikenal dengan istilah observasi partisipan. Gaya ini dapat membawa penonton merasa berada pada situasi yang sama dengan pembuat film sehingga dapat menimbulkan pengaruh yang kuat dalam diri penonton. Unsur-unsur dalam film The Cove terdiri dari unsur visual dan unsur verbal, dimana kedua unsur tersebut membangun satu kesatuan dalam film. Pemanfaatan The Cove sebagai media kampanye penyelamatan lumba-lumba mampu memberi dampak yang kuat di masyarakat berkat pemilihan gaya dokumenter serta pemanfaatan unsur visual dan verbal film yang tepat, sehingga pesan penyelamatan lumba-lumba dapat sampai kepada masyarakat.Kata Kunci: film dokumenter, media kampanye, cove.AbstractDocumentary film is a film that presents the facts to the audience and can be a media campaign about an issue. The Cove film shows the cruelty of the captivity industry and dolphin shows from the point of view of an activist named Richard O 'Barry. The Cove then not only became a documentary film, but also became a media campaign to move against cruelty to the industry. The method used in this study is a qualitative method, where the data analysis method used is a qualitative-interpretative method. The theory used in this study is the theory of documentary film, documentary film genre and style, elements of film and communication theory related to the campaign. The Cove film uses a participatory style, known as participant observation. This style can bring the audience to feel in the same situation as the filmmaker so that it can cause a strong influence in the audience. The elements in the film The Cove consist of visual elements and verbal elements, where the two elements build a unity in the film. Utilization of The Cove as a media campaign to save dolphins can have a strong impact on the community thanks to the selection of documentary styles and the use of appropriate visual and verbal elements of the film, so that the message of saving dolphins can reach the public.Keywords: documentary film, campaign media, cove.

Abstract

A narrative storytelling through audio visual that tells about the conflict of a new married couple. Narrative film with the concept of timeloop has uniqueness That means a looping scene that makes the main character could change each action. The concept of timeloop is still rarely used in the Indonesian Film Industry. Therefore, making the concept of timeloop can make a development for the film industry in Indonesia. The concept is packaged by combining a little culture about the elements of locality in the conflicts that occur in the patriarchal system in Bali. The patriarchal system places men as holders of power in the family. Some family life in Bali, which is the backbone is a woman. So narrative and visual will be applied in this writing. The creation of the fiction film " Cakhra Kala " was carried out to find out the process of translating a fictional story into an audio visual work. A concept created using the planning stage and the applied stage method. In the film " Cakhra Kala ", not only audio can deliver narrative stories, but a narrative is explained through images that have meaning. Images that have this meaning will lead the audience to enjoy the story. This narrative theory has reference from David Bordwell’s book named “Narration in the Fiction Film”.The result of this creation is a fictional film " Cakhra Kala " created with a gradual process. It starts with making story ideas, story lines, characterizations, the production process, and the post-production stage. The creation of the fiction film " Cakhra Kala " and narrative visual concept are expected to help the development of the Indonesian film industry in creating a unique story that can be raised and combined in line with the habits of the Indonesian people, especially in Bali.

Abstract

The phenomenon of pregnancy out of wedlock spreads because the association among teenagers today can be said to be concerning because of the proliferation of promiscuity which has an impact on the behavior of free sex. This results in the emotions of the perpetrator or in this case the couple outside of marriage being unbalanced, due to their young age. This can be dangerous if emotions are able to express or display behavior in accordance with what feelings he is experiencing. The editing concept that will be applied is to build the emotions of the cast's characters by applying rhythmic and spatial aspects of editing techniques in the film entitled “Genismara”. The process of creating this film through various methods, the first is a data search method by observing film works with the application of rhythmic and spatial techniques, the second is documentation of books, journals, theses. This is done to find out the sound or understanding of rhythmic and spatial techniques, after which it is continued with the method of creation, namely pre-production, production and post-production. This method is carried out to apply or implement rhythmic and spatial techniques. The results of the application of rhythmic and spatial techniques are, the two techniques have different ways of applying, the rhythmic aspect is the aspect that is able to control the length of the duration of a shot in other words emphasizing a moment, while spatial is manipulating the dimensions of the shot, when the two techniques are combined and matched. the scene scene 5, scene 7 scene 8 scene 14, scene 15, scene 16, scene 17, scene 20, scene 21, scene 22, scene 23 will generate or embody an emotion that build emotional character actor like tranquility, doubts and Fright.

Abstract

The film “Getir” tells the story of a Balinese woman who is in an inharmonious marriage due to an extramarital affair. In the process of writing the screenplay, this film applies the story structure of Dan Harmon Story Circle. Dan Harmon Story Circle is an alternative story structure with a characteristic that divides the story into eight stages experienced by the main character. The application of this story structure aims to highlight the changes that occur in the main character. This can be seen from the comparison of conditions at the beginning of the story starting to the end of the story. The scenario preparation process uses a method consisting of the preparation stage and the cultivation stage. The preparation stage starts from determining the idea, theme, story target to the plot. The stages of cultivation are carried out by compiling the premise, synopsis, character profile, writing treatment, to the scenario. In the process of writing the screenplay, the writer uses several theories to develop the scenario. The theories that the author uses are Elizabeth Lutter's Scriptwriting theory, Narrative, Dan Harmon Story Circle structure, and Stage of Grief. “Getir“ film scenario consists of 22 scenes, genre drama with a story duration of 20 minutes, taking the setting of the story in several places such as houses and traditional markets.
