Abstract

Background: According to Basic Health Research (RISKESDAS) 2018, obesity prevalence in Jakarta is higher among women. In adolescent girls, obesity can persist into adulthood, causing reproductive issues. The factors contributing to obesity include energy and fat intake, body image perception, and physical activity. Objectives: This study analyzes the relationship between energy intake, fat intake, physical activity, and body image with obesity. Methods: This study is quantitative research with a cross-sectional design. The research was conducted at SMAN 98 Jakarta and SMAN 105 Jakarta, involving 108 female students aged 15-18 years from April to May 2024. Data were collected using stratified random sampling and analyzed using Spearman Rank for non-normally distributed variables and Pearson for normally distributed variables. Obesity variables were measured using BMI for age (BMI/A) and Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis; energy and fat intake were assessed using a 24-hour food recall instrument; body image was measured using the Multidimensional Body-Self Relations Questionnaire Appearance Scales. Results: The correlation between energy and fat intake with obesity showed coefficients of r=0.035 (p=0.722) and r=0.074 (p=0.448) for body fat percentage, and r=-0.016 (p=0.869) and r=-0.034 (p=0.726) for BAZ. Physical activity correlated with obesity at r=0.197 (p=0.041) for body fat percentage and r=0.156 (p=0.107) for BAZ. Body image correlated with obesity at r=0.291 (p=0.002) for body fat percentage and r=0.309 (p=0.001) for BAZ. Conclusion: The variables significantly associated with the occurrence of obesity are physical activity (when measured using body fat percentage) and body image. Meanwhile, the variables not associated with the occurrence of obesity are physical activity when measured by Body Mass Index for age (BMI for age), energy intake, and fat intake.

Abstract

Stunting masih menjadi permasalahan kesehatan masyarakat di Indonesia yang berdampak pada tumbuh kembang anak dalam jangka panjang. Salah satu penyebab utamanya adalah kurangnya pengetahuan ibu balita mengenai pentingnya gizi seimbang. Berdasarkan data Survei Status Gizi Indonesia tahun 2022, prevalensi stunting nasional sebesar 21,6%, menunjukkan bahwa sekitar satu dari lima balita di Indonesia mengalami pertumbuhan linear terhambat. Jika tidak ditangani, stunting berisiko menurun ke generasi berikutnya. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan upaya pencegahan dan penurunan angka stunting melalui edukasi gizi kepada ibu balita. Tujuan dari penulisan artikel ini adalah untuk menyajikan data dan analisis terkait peningkatan pengetahuan ibu balita di RW 03, Kelurahan Meruyung, Kota Depok, Jawa Barat, setelah diberikan edukasi gizi melalui media flyer. Flyer tersebut dipergunakan sebagai media penyuluhan yang melibatkan 35 ibu balita, dengan metode ceramah diikuti pembagian media flyer, serta pengisian pretest dan post-test. Hasil uji Paired Samples T-Test menunjukkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 (nilai sig < 0,05), yang berarti terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan yang signifikan setelah intervensi dilakukan. Kegiatan ini membuktikan bahwa edukasi gizi dengan media flyer, efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu balita terkait stunting dan Pedoman Gizi Seimbang (PGS) sebagai upaya pencegahan stunting di RW 03, Kelurahan Meruyung, Kota Depok, Jawa Barat.

Abstract

Pemerintah Indonesia telah menetapkan Perpres Nomor 72 Tahun 2021 sebagai landasan percepatan penurunan stunting di tingkat nasional, yang diikuti dengan RAN PASTI sebagai panduan di tingkat daerah.Akan tetapi, keberagaman kondisi daerah di Indonesia menghasilkan prevalensi stunting yang bervariasi sehingga komitmen pemerintah daerah menjadi kunci utama percepatan penurunan stunting. Namun, masih terdapat implementasi kebijakan stunting di daerah yang belum terlaksana dengan baik. Kabupaten Bulungan berhasil melaksanakan penurunan prevalensi stunting sebesar 7,68% dari tahun 2022 sehingga dapat dijadikan acuan terkait identifikasi praktik baik kebijakan di tingkat daerah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi keselarasan antara kebijakan nasional dan daerah dalam mengoptimalkan sumber daya untuk mengatasi stunting secara spesifik di tingkat daerah. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus yang dianalisis menggunakan Teori Segitiga Kebijakan dari Walt dan Gilson melalui hasil studi dokumen, yakni menyandingkan substansi kebijakan nasional dengan kebijakan yang ada di Kabupaten Bulungan. Dokumen kebijakan daerah diperoleh melalui Bappeda Litbang setempat. Kemudian, hasilnya ditriangulasi melalui wawancara mendalam semi terstruktur dengan Kabid Kesmas Dinkes Kabupaten Bulungan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kebijakan yang diimplementasikan oleh Kabupaten Bulungan telah melibatkan lintas sektor dan berbagai aktor yang berbasis pentahelix, serta telah terkoordinasi dengan pemerintah pusat dengan baik. Strategi yang diterapkan bersifat berkelanjutan dan telah terintegrasi dengan program kesehatan nasional yang ada. Kebijakan daerah yang ditetapkan telah mengacu pada kelima pilar strategi nasional dalam Perpres Nomor 72 Tahun 2021. Terdapat juga SK TPPS guna mengatur mekanisme tata kerja TPPS di Kabupaten Bulungan yang telah mengacu pada RAN PASTI. Namun, terdapat beberapa hambatan, seperti kondisi pandemi covid-19, keterbatasan tenaga kesehatan, infrastruktur, dan fasilitas layanan kesehatan, serta persepsi masyarakat yang salah tentang stunting. Meskipun demikian, implementasi kebijakan Kabupaten Bulungan dinilai sudah selaras dengan kebijakan nasional.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Sertifikasi halal bagi usaha kecil dan mikro (UMK) bukan sekadar kewajiban, melainkan peluang besar untuk meningkatkan daya saing dan pertumbuhan bisnis. Pondok pesantren merupakan Lembaga Pendidikan islam bagian yang tidak terpisahkan sebagai hulu dari pendidikan Islam yang memiliki peran penting dalam menjaga kemaslahatan dan mendukung sertifikasi halal. Produk usaha yang di miliki pondok pesantren harus memiliki sertifikasi halal untuk menjaga jaminan kualitas dan keamanan makanan serta melindungi konsumen. Pendampingan pembuatan nomor induk berusaha dan sertifikasi halal Usaha mikro di pondok pesantren Sirajussa’adah guna mendukung pengembangan ekonomi pesantren. Kegiatan ini dilakukan melalui metode pendampingan kepada produk usaha yang dijual pondok pesantren dilakukan melalui tekhnik kualitatif. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini menggunakan observasi, pendampingan dan wawancara mendalam. Pendampingan yang dilakukan telah berhasil menerbitkan nomor induk berusaha untuk usaha produk madu dan olahan tempe, serta sertifikasi halal bagi produk unggulan pondok pesantren yaitu madu, sedangkan produk olahan tempe sudah diajukan sertifikasi halal nya di aplikasi sihalal. Kegiatan pendampingan ini diharapkan dapat menggerakan ekonomi pesantren agar bisa lebih bersaing di pasar global. Kata Kunci: Sertifikasi halal, Usaha Mikro dan Kecil, Madu, Tempe  ABSTRACT Halal certification for small and micro businesses (UMK) is not just an obligation, but a great opportunity to increase competitiveness and business growth. Islamic boarding schools are Islamic educational institutions that are an inseparable part of the upstream of Islamic education that have an important role in maintaining welfare and supporting halal certification. Business products owned by Islamic boarding schools must have halal certification to maintain food quality and safety assurance and protect consumers. Assistance in making business registration numbers and halal certification for micro businesses at the Sirajussa'adah Islamic boarding school to support the development of the Islamic boarding school economy. This activity is carried out through a method of assistance to business products sold by Islamic boarding schools through qualitative techniques. The method used in this community service activity uses observation, assistance and in-depth interviews. Results: the assistance carried out has succeeded in issuing business registration numbers for honey and processed tempeh products, as well as halal certification for the superior products of Islamic boarding schools, namely honey, while processed tempeh products have been submitted for halal certification in the Sihalal application. Abstract

ABSTRAK Data Riskesdas tahun 2018 menunjukkan prevalensi anemia remaja Indonesia sebesar 32%. Masih terdapat remaja yang kurang gizi dan gizi lebih juga obesitas. Kurangnya variasi menu dan minimnya pengetahuan gizi seimbang pada remaja santri, sehingga tidak terampil dalam menyediakan dan memilih makanan sehat menggunakan bahan pangan lokal yang ada dilingkungan sekitar. Pesantren juga belum pernah melaksanakan pengukuran berat badan dan tinggi badan, sehingga tidak mengetahui status gizi pada santri. Melaksanakan pengukuran berat badan dan tinggi badan, memberikan edukasi dan praktik gizi seimbang untuk meningkatkan status gizi dan kesehatan remaja. Terdapat 3 kegiatan yang dilaksanakan selama bulan Agustus – Oktober tahun 2023 yaitu; Pengukuran berat dan tinggi badan untuk mengetahui status gizi responden, edukasi gizi seimbang pada remaja, dan praktik menu gizi seimbang berbahan pangan lokal. Kegiatan pengukuran menunjukkan 100% santri berstatus gizi normal menurut indikator Indeks Massa Tubuh (IMT) per Umur. Adanya peningkatan pengetahuan gizi santri sebelum dan sesudah intervensi edukasi gizi (P value: 0,000). Hasil pengamatan praktik uji coba pembuatan salah satu variasi menu sate lilit tempe menunjukkan bahwa para santri sudah mampu mengolah menu secara mandiri, sehingga dapat mempraktikkan variasi menu lainnya yang terdapat di modul variasi menu gizi seimbang untuk remaja santri. Seluruh santri berstatus gizi normal, adanya peningkatan pengetahuan gizi santri setelah diintervensi, dan seluruh santri berhasil mempraktikkan kembali pembuatan menu sate lilit tempe. Kata Kunci: Bahan Pangan Lokal, Edukasi Gizi Remaja, Praktik Menu Gizi  ABSTRACT Riskesdas data in 2018 showed the prevalence of anemia in Indonesian adolescents was 32%. There are still adolescents who are malnourished and overweight as well as obese. The lack of menu variation and minimal knowledge of balanced nutrition among adolescent students, so they are not skilled in providing and choosing healthy food using local food ingredients available in the surrounding environment. Islamic boarding schools have also never carried out weight and height measurements, so they do not know the nutritional status of students. Conducting weight and height measurements, providing balanced nutrition education and practices to improve the nutritional status and health of adolescents. There are 3 activities carried out, namely; Measuring weight and height to determine the nutritional status of respondents, balanced nutrition education for adolescents, and practicing a balanced nutritional menu made from local foods. Measurement activities showed that 100% of students had normal nutritional status according to Body Mass Index (BMI) per Age. There was an increase in students' nutritional knowledge before and after the nutritional education intervention (P value: 0.000). The results of observations of the trial practice of making one variation of the tempe sate lilit menu showed that the students were able to process the menu independently, so they could practice other menu variations contained in the balanced nutrition menu variation module for adolescent students. All students had normal nutritional status, there was an increase in students' nutritional knowledge after the intervention, and all students successfully practiced making the tempe sate lilit menu again. Keywords: Local Food Ingredients, Nutritional Menu Practices, Teenage Nutrition Education

Abstract

ABSTRAK Data Survei Kesehatan Indonesia (SKI) 2023 menyebutkan bahwa prevalensi ibu hamil anemia sebanyak 27,7%. Angka tersebut menunjukkan adanya penurunan sebanyak 21,2% dari Riskesdas 2018. Meskipun mengalami penurunan, kasus anemia harus tetap selalu dipantau agar tidak menyebabkan masalah kesehatan berkelanjutan. Memberikan edukasi dan praktik menu gizi seimbang serta melakukan pengukuran tinggi badan, berat badan, dan kadar Hb untuk mengetahui dan meningkatkan status gizi dan kesehatan remaja. Kegiatan yang dilakukan meliputi pemberian edukasi terkait gizi seimbang, pengukuran berat badan, tinggi badan, dan kadar Hb, dan praktik menu gizi seimbang untuk remaja anemia. Didapatkan hasil sebanyak 60% remaja memiliki status gizi kurang, 16,7% berstatus gizi baik, 10% berstatus gizi lebih, dan 10% tergolong obesitas. Didapatkan pula hasil pengukuran kadar Hb yaitu sebanyak 20% tergolong anemia, 53,3% memiliki kadar Hb normal, dan sejumlah 26,6% lainnya memiliki kadar Hb >16 mg/dL. Terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan gizi remaja pada sebelum dan sesudah edukasi gizi (P value: 0,000). Hasil praktik pembuatan menu gizi seimbang juga menunjukkan bahwa para remaja dapat membuat menu makan siang untuk remaja anemia berdasarkan “Pedoman Isi Piringku”. Terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan gizi remaja setelah diintervensi dan seluruh remaja berhasil mempraktikkan penyusunan menu bergizi seimbang sesuai dengan “Pedoman Isi Piringku”.  Kata Kunci: Anemia, Praktik Masak, Remaja.  ABSTRACT The 2023 Survei Kesehatan Indonesia (SKI) data indicates that the prevalence of anemia among pregnant women is 27.7%. This figure shows a decrease of 21.2% compared to the 2018 Riskesdas. Although there has been a decrease, cases of anemia must still be continuously monitored to prevent ongoing health issues. To provide education and practice on a balanced nutritional menu and to measure height, weight and Hb levels to determine and improve the nutritional and health status of adolescents. The activities included providing education regarding balanced nutrition, measuring body weight, height and Hb levels, and practicing a balanced nutrition menu for anemic adolescent. The results was obtained 60% of adolescents with poor nutritional status, 16.7% of adolescents with good nutritional status, 10% of adolescents with over nutritional status, and 10% of adolescents classified as obese. The results of measuring Hb levels were also obtained, namely that 20% were classified as anemic, 53.3% had normal Hb levels, and another 26.6% had Hb levels >16 mg/dL. There was an increase in adolescent nutritional knowledge before and after the intervention (P value: 0.000). The results of the practice of making a balanced nutritional menu also show that adolescents can make a menu for anemic adolescent based on "Pedoman Isi Piringku”. There was an increase in adolescent nutritional knowledge after the intervention and all adolescents succeeded in practicing preparing a balanced nutritious menu according to "Pedoman Isi Piringku”. Keywords : Anemia, Cooking Practice, Adolescent.

Abstract

Background: The prevalence of anemia among adolescents in Indonesia in 2018 was approximately 32%. Adolescent girls are ten times more likely to experience anemia than adolescent boys. Anemia can be influenced by knowledge, sleep patterns, dietary pattern, inhibitors, and enhancers. Objectives: To analyze the relationship between knowledge, sleep patterns, dietary patterns, inhibitors, and enhancers with the incidence of anemia in adolescent girls at Al-Amanah Al-Gontory Islamic Boarding School South Tangerang City. Methods: This study used a cross-sectional design with 113 samples selected using a stratified random sampling technique. Data analysis used the Chi-Square test and Fisher's Exact. Results: There was a relationship between sleep patterns (p=0.003), protein intake (p=0.000), iron intake (p=0.000), and inhibitors (p=0.000) and the incidence of anemia and there was no relationship between knowledge (p = 0.156) and enhancer (p = 0.970) with the incidence of anemia. Conclusions: Anemia can be influenced by a person's sleep patterns. Poor sleep patterns are related to sleep disturbances, lack of sleep, and drowsiness. A person's diet (iron and protein) and frequent consumption of inhibitors can also cause anemia.

Abstract

Background: Hypertension is the dominant risk factor for coronary heart disease, the first cause of death in Indonesia. The prevalence of hypertension in Indonesia based on blood pressure measurements reached 34.11% in 2018. An increase the prevalence and risk of hypertension occurs in young adults with obese, both obesities based on body mass index and abdominal circumference as a parameter. Objectives: To analyze the association between types of obesity and hypertension in young adults in Indonesia. Methods: Cross-sectional study used secondary data from Indonesia National Basic Health Research 2018. Individuals aged 25-44 years, measured blood pressure for 3 times, had complete data, and not pregnant were included in this study (35,258 participants). Univariate and bivariate analysis used chi-square and then logistic regression test as multivariate analysis. Both used α 0.05 and 95% confidence interval. Results: Based on logistic regression, hypertension has a significant correlation with general obesity, abdominal obesity, combined obesity, age, gender, education, employment status, physical activity, smoking status, and fruit and vegetable consumption levels. In addition, the probability of developing hypertension based on the type of obesity is the largest in combined obesity, then general obesity and abdominal obesity with adjusted odds ratio 3,50; 1,87; and 1,79. Conclusions: General obesity, abdominal obesity, and combined obesity were associated with hypertension in young adults in Indonesia. Body mass index measurement combined with abdominal circumference can be a parameter of three types of obesity and a predictor of hypertension.

Abstract

Background: Overnutrition among Indonesian teenagers is a nutritional problem that has increased in recent years from 7.3% to 13.5%. Factors that contribute in the improvement of nutritional status include diet, lifestyle, and socio-economics. Overnutrition can lead to health complications, including non-communicable diseases. Objectives: To identify the relationship between energy intake, food preferences, peer influence, and parental education with the incidence of overnutrition among teenagers in Depok. Methods: This study used an observational approach with a cross-sectional design. The sample was taken by stratified random sampling from a chosen Senior High School (SMA) in Depok with a total of 108 participants. Nutritional status was obtained by measuring body weight (BB) and height (TB) using BMI-for-age (BMI/U), energy intake was measured by interviewing the 2x24-hour food recall, food preferences used the food and beverage preference questionnaire (FBPQ), peered influence was measured using the peered influence scale (PIS), and parental education was gathered through a questionnaire. Relationship analysis was carried out by chi-square and Fisher's exact tests. Results: Bivariate analysis shows that energy intake (p=0.030), food preferences (p=0.019), and peer influence (p=0. 006) were associated with the incidence of overnutrition. Parental education (father, p=0.365; mother, p=0.103) were not significantly associated with the incidence of overnutrition.   Conclusions: Individual factors among teenagers showed a relationship with the incidence of overnutrition. Teenagers need to pay attention to their energy intake, develop healthy food preferences, and utilize peered influence to adopt good eating behaviours to prevent overnutrition.

Abstract

Background: Increased adolescent social media use can lead to lower physical activity. In addition, the growth of marketing of unhealthy foods and drinks is inevitable. In short, excessive social media use may negatively impact nutrition problems, eating behavior, and physical activities. Objectives: This study aimed to determine the relationship between patterns of social media use and nutrition status, eating behavior, and physical activity among adolescents in DKI Jakarta. Methods: The study was cross-sectional and involved 187 students from public high schools in Jakarta. Data was collected using the Food Frequency Questionnaire (FFQ), the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ), the use of social media questionnaire, and an anthropometric assessment to measure body mass index for age. The statistical analysis used was the chi-square test. Results: No significant association were found between the frequency and duration of social media use and nutrition status. The type of exposure to social media content does not show a significant relationship with nutrition status, eating behavior, and physical activity. However, there were significant associations between frequency (p=0.022) and duration (p=0.003) of social media use and eating behavior. Likewise, there was a significant relationship between frequency (p=0.021) and duration (p=0.005) of social media use with physical activity. Conclusions: Duration and frequency of social media use are associated with riskier eating patterns and lower adolescent physical activity. Therefore, nutrition education in adolescents should also include topics on social media use.
