Motivation in this work setting is strongly linked to organizational factors influenced by transformational leadership and organizational culture, which enhance organizational effectiveness. The test was conducted on public servants at the sub-district office in the Sidikalang district of North Sumatra. This research aims to investigate the correlation between transformational leadership and work motivation, and to evaluate organizational culture as a mediator between transformational leadership and work motivation. A quantitative non-probability sampling procedure was employed to acquire 45 respondents. Variable data is evaluated using a Likert scale. The data analysis method employs structural equation modeling (SEM) through the usage of SmartPLS 3.0. The analytical findings show that organizational culture has a mediating role in the relationship between transformational leadership and job motivation. Transformational leadership and organizational culture positively influence consumer satisfaction. The organization has combined transformational leadership and organizational culture to enhance employee work motivation, leading to improved organizational performance.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine how Indonesian state-owned banks' profitability was affected by green banking and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) activities between 2021 and 2023.  While ESG represents a dedication to environmental, social, and governance factors, green banking refers to ecologically friendly banking practices.  This work employs panel data regression analysis on a sample using a quantitative methodology of five state-owned banks selected through purposive sampling, resulting in 30 observations from annual reports, sustainability reports, and Financial Services Authority data. The results show that green banking significantly increases bank profitability, while ESG practices separately do not have a significant impact. However, the integration of green banking and ESG simultaneously has a positive and significant effect on profitability. This finding implies that state-owned banks need to adopt a holistic sustainability strategy to optimize long-term financial performance. This integration not only supports financial stability but also strengthens the bank's contribution to sustainable development, in line with global goals for a better environment and responsible governance.

Abstract

In today’s competitive business environment, corporate debt policy significantly influences financial stability and growth, shaped by firm-specific factors like profitability, liquidity, and asset structure. This study aims to examine how these factors affect debt policy decisions through a systematic literature review. The review analyzes 42 peer-reviewed articles published between 2020 and 2025, sourced from databases such as Scopus, Web of Science, ScienceDirect, and Emerald Insight, using the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses framework. Findings reveal that profitability generally reduces debt reliance, as firms favor internal financing, aligning with the Pecking Order Theory. Liquidity also tends to decrease borrowing, though it can enhance creditworthiness in capital-intensive sectors. Conversely, asset structure, particularly tangible assets, consistently correlates positively with debt, supporting the Trade-Off Theory by providing collateral. Contextual factors like industry, firm size, and economic conditions influence these relationships. The study concludes that while established theories explain debt policy, contextual nuances necessitate tailored financial strategies. This review contributes to corporate finance by offering a comprehensive, theory-driven synthesis, highlighting practical implications for managers and identifying future research avenues to address sector-specific and regional variations.

Abstract

The rapid evolution of financial technology (fintech) and the strategic role of Intellectual Capital (IC) have transformed the banking sector, State-owned Enterprises banks in Indonesia. This study aims to examine the individual and combined effects of fintech and IC on the financial performance of State-owned Enterprises banks from 2021 to 2023. Employing panel data regression analysis with 30 observations from five State-owned Enterprises banks, the research measures fintech via mobile banking transaction volume and IC through Value Added Human Capital (VAHU), Structural Capital Value Added (SCVA), and Value-Added Capital Employed (VACA), with Return on Assets (ROA) as the performance indicator. Results indicate that fintech has no significant impact on ROA, while VAHU significantly enhances financial performance. SCVA and VACA show no notable effects. Collectively, fintech and IC significantly influence performance. These findings underscore the importance of optimizing human capital and strategically integrating fintech to boost efficiency and competitiveness, offering valuable insights for state-owned enterprises banks’ strategic planning and policy development in a digital era.

Abstract

In a digital era marked by burgeoning e-health initiatives, this study explores the pervasive influence of E-service Quality—encompassing Reliability, Efficiency, Fulfillment, Privacy, Responsiveness, and Contact—on the satisfaction of participants in the National Health Insurance (JKN) program. The objective is to quantitatively assess these dimensions' impacts on user satisfaction among Mobile JKN users in Pematangsiantar. Employing a questionnaire as the research instrument, this study scrutinizes the responses of 100 participants using multiple linear regression analysis via SPSS 25. The findings reveal that while Efficiency exerts a significant positive effect on participant satisfaction, Reliability, Fulfillment, and Responsiveness, although positive, are not statistically significant. In contrast, Privacy and Contact do not significantly influence satisfaction. The study underscores the necessity for BPJS Kesehatan to refine the Mobile JKN application's user interface and optimize the mobile app's utility for a seamless user experience, including secure data practices and biometric login features for phone number changes, aligning with national demographic databases. These insights contribute to the strategic enhancement of health insurance services, driving user satisfaction and security in Indonesia's healthcare system.
