Abstract

Digital transformation in education is a crucial element in improving the quality of learning and preparing students for global competition. This study aims to examine the roles of principals and teachers in implementing digital leadership, implementing educational digitalization, and assessing students' digital literacy skills amidst technological developments at Muhammadiyah Toboali Senior High School. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study method, with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, direct observation, and documentation analysis with the principal, teachers, and students. The results show that the principal acts as a transformational leader who strives to direct and motivate all school members to adopt technology in the learning process. Teachers function as active facilitators in developing students' digital literacy through the use of various technology-based learning platforms and media. The implementation of educational digitalization in schools is evident through the development of a technology-integrated curriculum, the implementation of a digital school administration system, and the use of technological devices in teaching and learning activities. Students' digital skills have significantly improved, particularly in critical thinking skills, creativity, and adaptability to technological developments.

Abstract

Objektif: Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji strategi guru dalam meningkatkan kemandirian belajar siswa berkebutuhan khusus di sekolah dasar inklusif. Metode: Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan Systematic Literature Review (SLR) dengan pedoman PRISMA 2020. Penelusuran artikel dilakukan melalui basis data Scopus dengan rentang publikasi 2017–2025. Sebanyak 12 artikel yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi dianalisis secara tematik. Hasil: Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa kemandirian belajar siswa berkebutuhan khusus didukung melalui pembelajaran aktif dan terstruktur, penyesuaian tugas, scaffolding, dukungan teman sebaya, serta pemanfaatan teknologi bantu. Penerapan prinsip Universal Design for Learning (UDL) dan penataan lingkungan belajar yang aksesibel turut memperkuat kemampuan siswa untuk belajar secara lebih mandiri. Kolaborasi antara guru, orang tua, dan tenaga pendukung juga berperan penting. Kebaruan: Studi ini menyajikan sintesis ringkas dan terintegrasi mengenai strategi guru dalam menumbuhkan kemandirian belajar siswa berkebutuhan khusus di sekolah dasar inklusif. Abstract

This study aims to construct an effective deep science learning planning model for junior high school teachers on the topic of living systems and cells, focusing on teacher perceptions, student readiness, and the instructional challenges encountered. A descriptive qualitative method was employed, involving in-depth interviews with science teachers and a document study of instructional plans.  The findings reveal that deep science learning planning model is contingent upon a fundamental transformation of the teacher’s role into an instructional orchestrator who integrates spiritual dimensions as substantive learning outcomes. While students exhibited metacognitive gaps in navigating experimental inquiry, the study highlights the efficacy of faded scaffolding strategies and virtual laboratory integration in enhancing student self-efficacy amidst resource constraints. The research concludes that despite the systemic tension between time-intensive inquiry and standardized assessments, the adaptation of flexible scaffolding is crucial for bridging scientific reasoning with national testing policies. These results corroborate existing frameworks on deep learning while providing a practical model for teachers in constructing self-identity through an awareness of the Creator’s design in science.

Abstract

Basic education is a crucial foundation for a child's academic journey. Amidst the dynamics of the 21st century, dominated by technological advancements and global challenges—from climate change to health crises—the ability to understand and apply scientific concepts is vital. Scientific literacy is not simply the ability to memorize formulas or the names of planets, but rather the capacity to think critically, evaluate evidence-based information, and make logical decisions in everyday life. Changes in parental preferences in choosing elementary schools in Sungai Seluang Village are important to study because they indicate a trend of increasing interest in private schools compared to public schools, in line with the national trend of decreasing public school enrollment. This study primarily aims to examine factors influencing parental decisions, including comparing views on the quality of public and private schools, identifying barriers to accessing information, and assessing the influence of school location. The method used is a qualitative approach (case study) with data collection through interviews, observation, and documentation, then analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions, accompanied by triangulation for validity testing. The results show that the dominant factors influencing parental choices include teaching quality, facilities, access to information, perceptions of security, and school distance, and these findings are directed to support the development of more responsive local education policies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the Human Resources (HR) management strategy in optimizing teacher professionalism at Muhammadiyah Condongcatur Elementary School. Teacher professionalism is a key pillar in ensuring the quality of education at the elementary school level, but the challenges of curriculum dynamics and workload require a comprehensive managerial strategy. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with the Principal, Vice Principal, and Teachers, as well as observations, and supported by documentation studies. Data analysis was conducted with the help of the Atlas.ti 9 software to map the relationships between managerial variables. The results show that the HR management strategy is carried out through an integrated cycle, including: 1) Linearity-based planning and real needs analysis; 2) Competency development through applied training and inter-disciplinary collaboration; 3) Reflection-based performance evaluation for policy making; and 4) Internalization of Islamic organizational culture as a reinforcement of moral integrity. Although the reward system has been implemented, the aspect of transparency remains a note for future development. In conclusion, the synergy between administrative support, sustainable capacity development, and spiritual values is key to creating a solid ecosystem of teacher professionalism in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze teacher strategies in administering remedial exams to improve the learning achievement of arithmetic operations in elementary schools. The study used a qualitative case study design with a qualitative approach conducted at Muhammadiyah Condongcatur Elementary School, Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region. The research subjects consisted of one fourth-grade teacher and two fourth-grade students who experienced difficulties in learning mathematics. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and documentation, then analyzed interactively through the stages of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results showed that teacher strategies in administering remedial exams include four main aspects, namely planning, implementation, monitoring or supervision, and remedial strategies. In the planning aspect, teachers make special schedules, give preliminary assignments, adjust the form of questions, and communicate intensively with students and parents. In the implementation aspect, remedial exams are carried out in a controlled manner with an emphasis on honesty, independence, and teacher guidance. The monitoring aspect is carried out through gradual corrections and re-discussions to diagnose student misconceptions. Remedial strategies are applied flexibly, adaptively, and repeatedly until learning completeness is achieved according to the principles of mastery learning. The main obstacle identified was students' low mastery of the prerequisite material. This study concluded that pedagogically and diagnostically managed remedial exams can significantly improve learning outcomes, not just improve academic grades.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki pengembangan ekosistem yang bahagia di lingkungan sekolah melalui penerapan strategi kepemimpinan transformasional dalam pengelolaan kesejahteraan psikologis guru dan staf. Metodologi yang digunakan adalah pendekatan studi kasus kualitatif, di mana data diperoleh melalui observasi serta wawancara mendalam dengan para pemimpin sekolah, termasuk kepala dan wakil kepala sekolah, serta guru dan staf pendidikan. Analisis tematik mengungkapkan bahwa elemen kunci dari kepemimpinan transformasional seperti teladan, motivasi spiritual, transparansi dalam kritik dan inovasi, serta perhatian pribadi memainkan peran penting dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan psikologis dan menciptakan lingkungan yang bahagia. Kepala sekolah juga berfokus pada penyediaan dukungan emosional, fasilitas yang adequat, dan pengembangan karier, yang semuanya berkontribusi pada peningkatan kesejahteraan psikologis. Ini mencakup aspek-aspek seperti hubungan interpersonal yang positif dan tujuan hidup yang jelas. Temuan riset ini menunjukkan bahwa pengintegrasian nilai spiritual dalam kepemimpinan transformasional tidak hanya menciptakan ekosistem yang mendukung kebahagiaan tetapi juga meningkatkan komitmen jangka panjang para pendidik. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi signifikan dalam studi literatur dengan menampilkan bagaimana praktik kepemimpinan berdampak langsung pada dinamika psikologis dalam konteks sekolah, di mana penelitian sebelumnya sering kali hanya berfokus pada stres dan kelelahan.

Abstract

Kedisiplinan siswa merupakan faktor penting dalam menciptakan pembelajaran efektif dan lingkungan sekolah kondusif. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis peran kepemimpinan guru dalam meningkatkan kedisiplinan siswa di SMA Negeri 1 Tanah Grogot, mengidentifikasi strategi yang digunakan, serta mengkaji faktor pendukungnya. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan subjek kepala sekolah, wakil kesiswaan, guru BK, guru mata pelajaran, dan siswa. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi, lalu dianalisis dengan model interaktif melalui reduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan guru berperan signifikan melalui pendekatan empatik dan komunikatif, ketegasan dan konsistensi dalam aturan, keteladanan, serta penerapan reward dan punishment. Dukungan program karakter dan kerja sama sekolah dengan orang tua turut memperkuat budaya disiplin. Dengan demikian, kombinasi empati dan ketegasan dalam kepemimpinan guru efektif meningkatkan kedisiplinan siswa secara berkelanjutan.
