Abstract

Optimal Portfolio is one way that can be used to determine stock portfolios that generate large returns with the smallest risk. The purpose of this study is to determine the optimal portfolio of risk-free assets and risk assets using the Markowitz Model, Single Index Model and portfolio performance by comparing the resulting rate of return and risk. The research sample used was LQ 45 shares listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from August 2014 to July 2019.    The sampling technique used was purposive sampling technique, namely the selection of data based on certain criteria in order to obtain a sample of 29 listed companies. The method used is to use the Markowitz Model, the Single Index Model and portfolio performance. From the optimal portfolio formation based on the Method, there are 9 shares included in risk free assets and 20 shares included in risk assets. The results of the analysis show that by using the Single Index Model the return from the optimal portfolio produced is higher than using the Markowitz Model, as well as the risk generated on the Single Index Model is smaller than using the Markowitz Model both on risk-free assets and risk assets, this is assured with the results obtained from portfolio performance.

Abstract

Mesin utama memiliki peranan penting dalam menunjang kegiatan berlayar karena jika mengalami kegagalan maka kapal tidak bisa berjalan dan menimbulkan kerugian ekonomi. Saat ini PT. Tanto Intim Line melakukan perawatan di semua kapalnya berdasarkan corrective maintenance. Metode tersebut dinilai masih belum efektif untuk menangani kegagalan yang terjadi, karena sedikitnya sumber daya manusia yang tersedia sehingga belum teratasi dengan baik. Dengan demikian, diperlukan maintenance task yang tepat, sehingga perusahaan dapat memprediksi kerusakan yang terjadi dan menyediakan suku cadang baru sebelum kerusakan terjadi. Metode perawatan yang sesuai dalam menentukan apa yang harus dilakukan adalah dengan menggunakan RCM (Reliability Centered Maintenance), dengan metode ini dapat diketahui jenis perawatan dan interval perawatan yang sesuai untuk setiap komponen yang mengalami kegagalan. Berdasarkan analisa didapatkan frekuensi kegagalan pada komponen injector sebesar 6 kali/tahun, komponen piston dengan frekuensi kegagalan 4 kali/tahun. Dengan didapatkannya hasil frekuensi kerusakan maka dapat ditentukan strategi perawatan pencegahan (preventive maintenance) untuk komponen yang memiliki tingkat resiko paling tinggi dan menengah sehingga mempengaruhi biaya, produksi, dan kesehatan serta keselamatan kerja adalah piston, injector, cylinder head, cylinder liner, governor, fuel injection pump dan perawatan saat terjadi kerusakan (corrective maintenance) untuk komponen yang memiliki tingkat resiko paling rendah adalah connecting rod & crosshead, thrust bearing, crankshaft.

Abstract

A Crane barge ship is a ship designed specifically to have a crane on deck. The function of thisship is to unload coal/bulk cargo at the mid-sea, which is to go the middle of the sea this sip must be towedby Tugboat. This research will discuss the analysis of the propulsion system using electric propulsion withazimuth thruster propeller. In this study the calculation is the resistance of the ship, power requirement bythe ship, selecting of a propeller, electrical system. The calculation resistance of the ship using maxsurfresistance software, before simulation the model 3D of ship design in maxsurf modeler. Then if theresistance value is determined can be used to calculate the power of electric motor requirement as theprimer mover of the ship. Then the result of these calculations can be selected as the propeller. Based onthe calculation result, the value of the ship resistance is 1555,95 kW when the ship used 4 azimuth thruster,so the resistance value is 388,987 kN. The power of the electricity needs to supply power to motor electricas the primer mover is 4632 kW. The Selection of propeller used is a product from thrustmaster which hasa thrust is 529 kN with a diameter propeller is 2.99 meters.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji respon getaran torsional sistem transmisi dari kapal white product tanker.Tugas akhir ini akan dijadikan acuan atau pedoman kepada galangan untuk mengetahui getaran akibat dari efekmisalignment. Pemodelan menggunakan standar 2 derajat kebebasan yang digambarkan dengan 2 persamaandifferensial. Terdapat 2 pusat massa yang berada di stern tube dan propeller. Tugas akhir ini akan dilakukanproses pemodelan getaran poros propeller akibat misalignment menggunakan software MATLAB 2013a. Variasimisalignment yang digunakan untuk proses pemodelan getaran sebesar 0,025 mm, 0,05 mm, 0,075mm, dan 0,1mm. Variasi tersebut merujuk pada standard maksimum mislaignment yang dikeluarkan oleh class untukmengetahui respon getaran, frekuensi natural, dan resonansi dari setiap variasi misalignment. Hasil daripemodelan menunjukan nilai dari respon getaran pada saat kondisi centre sebesar ?1 range amplitudo -1,4107997x10-7rad/s sampai dengan 1,5086487x10-7 rad/s dan ?2 range amplitudo -9,477330x10-7 rad/s sampaidengan 8,8626428x10-6 dengan periode 0,05 sec dan waktu 1800 sec. Pada ukuran misalignment 0,1 mm dengannilai respon getaran ?1 min -1,41079x10-7 rad/s maksimum 1,50873x10-7rad/s dan ?2 range amplitudo -9,4772x10-7 rad/s sampai dengan 8,86278x10-7 rad/s. dengan periode 0,05 sec dan waktu 1800 sec. Respongetaran yang terjadi pada varias misalignment masih diijinkan standard ISO Severity 10618-3 dan class ABS.Semakin besar ukuran dari misalignment akan menyebabkan semakin besarnya getaran yang terjadi.

Abstract

Planning for the selection of the propulsion system on the Pencalang 15 GT ship is carriedout in order to avoid any errors in determining the main engine and propeller. Calculation ofresistance and ship engine power requirements is carried out using the Holtrop method in modelingsoftware to select the appropriate main engine. The propeller selection is carried out with theconsideration that it does not exceed the maximum diameter limit and the propeller does notexperience cavitation. Matching points are carried out by plotting engine power, engine speed andpropeller load characteristics in trial and service conditions with the highest percentage of matchingpoint values.

Abstract

Pencalang is a traditional sailing ship used as a merchant ship. Along with the times,Pencalang changed its function to become a patrol boat with the addition of a motor as its drivingforce. In the traditional wooden ship revitalization project, propeller selection is important because theship uses a sail and motor system. This research analyzes the use of Kaplan propeller types to optimizethrust, torque, and efficiency where currently the propeller used for Pencalang ships is type B-series.The selection of the Kaplan propeller to be analyzed is based on the diameter that matches theavailability of propeller space on the propeller ship or < Dpropeller B-series g. The selection of kaplanpropellers resulted in kaplan types K4-55 and K4-70 with diameters of 0.659 and 0.619, respectively.The B-series and kaplan series propellers that have been selected are then analyzed using modelingsoftware and simulation software that has calculated its error using MAPE with the result of an error< 10%. The simulation results in the software show that the Kaplan series propeller can be used as anoption for the type of propeller that can be used on Pencalang if a propeller replacement will be carriedout later, because with a smaller diameter compared to the B-series propeller it will produce greaterthrust and torque. The Kaplan series propeller that produces the highest thrust and torque is K4-70with a maximum thrust value of 6966.76 N and a maximum torque of 978.977 Nm.

Abstract

In this final project, the performance of the propulsion system on the ship is analyzed SPOB.Sultan Samudera. With This is done to minimize errors in the selection or determination of gearboxesand other engines. The methods used are Engine Propeller Matching and Speed Power Predictionwhich will be compared with the sea trial report. Calculation of ship resistance is done manually usingthe Holtrop method at a speed of 10 knots, the results of engine propeller matching are used todetermine the Match Point obtained, based on the calculation of the resistance obtained by the ship'sresistance value Rt = 91.045 Kn. The power requirements obtained are 1658,000 HP on the 2 MainEngines used and 817,694 HP per engine based on the main engine that has been determined. Then thePropeller type is Ka 4-70 with P/Db 1.100 meters and propeller efficiency (?) 0.561, the propeller doesnot cavitate and the match point in rough hull conditions against Gearbox Ratio 7.42: 1 occurs at88.96% at 1900 rpm while at Gearbox Ratio 5: 1 rough hull conditions occurred at 290.74% at 1900rpm, then in the Speed Power Prediction conditions compared to the Sea Trial "Against the Current"at a speed of 8.8 knots, the match point was obtained at 1600 rpm at 8.1 knots, while at Gearbox Ratio5: 1 with a speed of 8.8 knots obtained a meeting point at 1160 rpm engine speed at 6.4 knots withknown Sea Trial results, so the Gearbox Ratio of 7.42: 1 is quite close to the actual data owned by thecompany with the calculations obtained.

Abstract

Many innovations have been developed in the shipbuilding industry, such as the use of waterjetand azipod propulsion systems. However, these options are considered less effective. FInally the shippingindustry has innovated by adopting ducted propeller technology. This Final Year Project aims to conductfluid flow simulation tests on the propeller with variations in nozzle sizes, namely 19A and 37 and tipclearance values of 20 mm, 30 mm, 40 mm, 50 mm, and 60 mm. The analysis is performed usingComputational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to obtain values for thrust, torque, and efficiency. The simulationresults, the smaller tip clearance, the greater resulting thrust and torque values, namely 61874 N and 13128Nm on models with a 20 mm tip clearance. Then, the greater value of thrust or torque, the better performanceof the propeller. The largest thrust value was obtained, namely 61874 N and the largest torque, namely 13128Nm. Thus, the propeller has good performance when paired with nozzle 37. For efficiency, the better theperformance of the propeller with the recommended nozzle type and tip clearance is 37 nozzle and 20 mm tipclearance with the greatest efficiency value is at J 0.6 of 0.686.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to analyze the management of character education at Universitas Doktor Nugroho Magetan and Instituto Politécnico de Betano Timor Leste, focusing on policies, implementation practices, challenges, student perceptions, and recommendations to improve its effectiveness. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with university leaders, lecturers, and students, participant observation, and documentation of character education policies and programs at both universities. Data analysis was carried out thematically with an inductive approach to explore the main themes related to character education management. The results of the study show that both universities have implemented a structured character education policy, although with different approaches. Universitas Doktor Nugroho Magetan integrates character education into the academic curriculum through ethics and morals courses, while Instituto Politécnico de Betano focuses more on developing social character and leadership through extracurricular activities and community service. The practice of implementing character education is running well in both universities, although there are differences in its implementation. The main challenges faced are limited resources, difficulties in aligning perceptions about the importance of character education, and less active student involvement. Nevertheless, most students have a positive perception of the character education they receive.

Abstract

This study aims to 1) Analyze the research management standards applied at Universitas Doktor Nugroho Magetan and Instituto Politecnico De Betano, with a focus on the structures, policies, and procedures that support research activities at both institutions. 2) Evaluate the factors that influence the effectiveness of research management at both institutions, including the constraints faced in terms of funding, infrastructure, human resources, and research collaboration both nationally and internationally. 3) Compare research management practices at Universitas Doktor Nugroho Magetan and Instituto Politecnico De Betano, and identify similarities and differences in research management at both higher education institutions from different countries. 4) Provide recommendations based on research findings to improve research management standards at both institutions, in order to support the development of better quality and quantity of research in the future. This study combines qualitative data obtained through in-depth interviews, observations, and quantitative data collected through interviews and questionnaires. The conclusion of this study is that research management at Universitas Doktor Nugroho Magetan (UDN) has implemented eight national standards comprehensively according to SN-Dikti, with a relatively well-established institutional and quality assurance system. Meanwhile, Instituto Politecnico De Betano (IPB) is still in the process of consolidating towards a more structured research management system, in line with the national regulatory framework of Timor-Leste (Decree-Law No. 03/2024 and Ministerial Diploma No. 34/2021). The effectiveness of research management in both institutions is greatly influenced by human resource capacity, infrastructure availability, and policy and funding support. UDNM shows excellence in integrating research into the tridharma and internal quality-based management, while IPB stands out in the flexibility of international partnerships despite being constrained by limited facilities and human resources.
