<![CDATA[The gain of social status, level of education, and economic power by women has altered interactional strategies between men and women. To understand the fundamental concept of I and you both men and women negotiate between self and others. The purpose of this research is to investigate the construction of self in the expressions used by men and women which includes (1) the creation of harmonious self in the expressions of men and women (2) the strategies of defining harmonious situation in the language used by both gender. This study employs the theory of impression management as part of Goffmanâs dramaturgical theory of symbolic interactionism. The findings show that (1) the creation of self in the language used by both gender is realized in linguistic and pragmatic forms, (2) the strategies of defining harmonious situation are conducted by women through the validity of self-concept, demonstration of group membership, social distance, and physical stigma.]]>

<![CDATA[The forming and development of educational curriculum must be fitted with the reality and requirements of the stakeholders and the students by keep referring to the national education standard and other national policies. This research aims to describe objectively about the schoolâs understanding towards regulations number 20 year 2003 about references in national education curriculum development and international ratifications made by Indonesian government.This research employs survey research plan with multistage area cluster to 20 elementary school students as samples. In this research, the researcherplayed as the key instrument by referring to prepared questions and interview guidance. The result showed that the teachers and the principal have not gotsome proper understanding about the baseline of gender-equal curriculum policy in Indonesian language subject. The schools need information about ways indeveloping the Indonesian language subject, wether as a tool for the application of gender-equal curriculum and ways in developing gender-equal based Indonesian language study program as a media to form a positive character and ways in putting gender-equal values in Indonesian language subject.]]>

<![CDATA[The using of yes/no question is a productive tool for reaching the function of communication discourse. The aimed of this research is testified the function of yes / no question in implicature discourse on e-commerce advertisement. The sources of this research were 8 enterprises advertisement of e – commerce which had variation of e-commerce advertisements. This research is merged the conversation analyses and implicature on conversation. The question yes / no in implicature conversation have different functions, such as: ordering, asking, suggesting, and rejecting.]]>

<![CDATA[Penelitian ini bertujuan mengungkapkan disorder pragmatik anak tuna rungu dalam interaksi pembelajaran di kelas, meliputi (1) wujud tutur anak tuna rungu, (2) kendala tutur anak tuna rungu, dan (3) intervensi guru terhadap disorder pragmatik anak tuna rungu. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan deskriptif kualitatif. Data penelitian ini berupa data deskriptif dan data reflektif. Hasil penelitian sebagai berikut. Pertama, wujud tutur anak tuna rungu meliputi tindak ilokusi, fungsi tutur, dan strategi bertutur. Kedua, kendala tutur anak tuna rungu terutama terjadi pada bentuk tutur sehingga ujaran mereka sering terdengar tidak jelas. Ketiga, guru melakukan intervensi terhadap tindak tutur, fungsi tutur, dan strategi bertutur anak tuna rungu dalam interaksi pembelajaran di kelas.]]>

<![CDATA[Al-Hikam Student Islamic Boarding School is founded by KH. A. Hasyim Muzadi in Malang City. This Islamic boarding school has been built with the aim of realizing the integrity of science and religion as a whole. With this educational model, it is hoped that there will be no scientific dichotomy so that religious beliefs have a scientific-rational basis and science is always protected by religious values. In the current era of the industrial revolution 4.0, the students who graduated from Islamic boarding schools are expected to be able to produce scientific works with their ability of religious knowledge. However, in reality, the abilities and interests of the students are very low. By writing scientific works based on the language corpus, the students can express their ideas and ideas in writing more easily. Therefore, this service is carried out to prepare students to be able to write scientific papers properly and correctly. Training is not enough, there should be an assistance so that the students get direct experience on how to write scientific papers. <![CDATA[Perubahan paradigma penyelenggaraan pendidikan di era revolusi industri 4.0 mendorong terjadinya perubahan dan pembaruan pada beberapa aspek pembelajaran. Setiap lembaga pendidikan dituntut untuk beradaptasi dengan metode pembelajaran yang baru. Setiap pendidik harus mengubah metode pembelajaran lama yang konvensional dengan metode pembelajaran yang menggunakan teknologi digital. Apalagi ketika di masa pandemi seperti ini, metode pembelajaran yang harus digunakan adalah metode pembelajaran daring (online). MI Al Falaah Kota Kediri merupakan lembaga pendidikan di bawah naungan Kementerian Agama yang beralamatkan di Jalan Masjid Timur No. 449a Kelurahan Banaran Pesantren Kota Kediri. Adapun lokasi MI Al Falaah Kota Kediri terletak pada geografis yang sangat cocok untuk proses belajar mengajar yang terletak di tengah pemukiman penduduk. MI ini dibangun dengan pertimbangan tata letak bangunan yang memberikan kenyamanan untuk belajar. Hal ini dapat di lihat dari tata letak ruang belajar yang agak jauh dari jalan raya sehingga kebisingan dari kendaraan bermotor dan kendaraan umum yang melintasi jalan raya dapat diminimalisir dan siswa tetap belajar dengan nyaman. Namun demikian, berdasarkan survei dan pengamatan, MI Al-Falaah Kota Kediri memiliki kekurangan yaitu a. masih banyaknya guru yang menggunakan metode pembelajaran lama; b.masih banyaknya guru yang belum bisa mengoperasikan IT; dan c. kurangnya alat peraga dan media pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu, Tim Pengabdian Masyarakat FS UM bermaksud untuk mengadakan program kegiatan “Pelatihan Pembuatan Konten Video Pembelajaran Daring di MI Al-Falaah Banaran Kota Kediri”. <![CDATA[The technological advancement and emergence of online advertisement become the underlying reason of the implementation of this current research. This paper discusses the pattern obtained in directive speech act delivered indirectly. Data of this qualitative research were utterances expressing directive speech act that had been transcribed by inclosing the conversation contexts. The data were collected from 30 online advertisements in online shopping application. The research results show there are various ways in delivering directive speech act indirectly such as (1) giving narration; (2) using opposite coordinative conjunction; (3) applying alternative questions; (4) using yes/no question; (5) wh-questions; and (6) utilizing rhetorical question. Based on the research findings, it can be concluded that online advertising product makers tend to use indirect directive speech act communication patterns. The use of indirect speech patterns is intended to persuade online advertisement readers to use the goods and or services offered. Therefore, the persuasive language of online advertising aims to instruct, command, suggest, and guide readers to order goods and or services offered by online advertising product makers. The findings of this research provide online advertisement readers ways to understand the indirect directive speech acts made by the online advertisement producers. Kemajuan teknologi dan munculnya iklan online menjadi penyebab penelitian ini dilakukan. Artikel ini bertujuan mendiskusikan mengenai pola-pola yang terdapat dalam tuturan direktif yang disampaikan secara tidak langsung. Dalam penelitian kualitatif ini datanya berupa tuturan yang mengandung tindak tutur direktif tidak langsung yang telah ditranskrip dengan menyertakan konteks percakapan. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah 30 iklan online dengan jenis aplikasi belanja online. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat berbagai cara dalam menyampaikan tindak tutur direktif yang disampaikan secara tidak langsung. Cara-cara tersebut yaitu (1) memberikan narasi; (2) memakai konjungsi kordinatif perlawanan; (3) menggunakan pertanyaan alternatif pilihan; (4) memakai pertanyaan dengan jawaban ya dan tidak; (5) bertanya dengan menggunakan dengan kata tanya; dan (6) menggunakan pertanyaan retoris. Berdasarkan temuan penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembuat produk iklan online berkecenderungan menggunakan pola komunikasi tindak tutur direktif tidak langsung. Pemakaian pola tidak tutur tidak langsung tersebut dimaksudkan untuk memberikan persuasi kepada pembaca iklan online untuk menggunakan produk barang dan atau jasa yang ditawarkan pembuat produk iklan online. Oleh karena itu, bahasa persuasif dalam tindak tutur iklan online bertujuan untuk memerintah, menyarankan, dan mengarahkan pembaca supaya mereka memesan barang dan atau jasa yang ditawarkan oleh pembuat produk iklan online. Temuan dalam penelitian ini dapat membantu pembaca iklan online memahami tuturan direktif tidak langsung yang diproduksi oleh pembuat iklan online.]]>
