Abstract

Currently there has been a change in causes from infectious diseases to non-communicable diseases (NCD). Posbindu NCD aims to increase community participation in early detection, monitoring and follow-up of NCD risk factors. To be able to achieve these objectives, a large role for cadres is needed. This activity increases the competence of posbindu cadres about the knowledge and skills of posbindu cadres in monitoring risk factors for non-communicable diseases in Karanggintung Village, Sumbang District. The method used in this activity is a participatory method that refers to activities that involve the intended audience for active activities with the aim that an increase in knowledge and special skills in post cadres. Based on the results of evaluations and evaluations that occur skill enhancement is that most cadres are correct in assessing, filling in the monitoring book and having conducted a consultation session. One of the cadres was also quite confident in conducting an assessment using the autocheck tool. Thus, the implementation training in Posbindu Sehat Mulia III Karanggintung Village, Sumbang District, Banyumas Regency, which can improve competence as seen from the cadres knowledge and skills so that it will be improved in optimizing early non-communicable risk factor monitoring.Keywords: cadres, posbindu, non-communicable disease, knowledge, skills

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menciptakan formula terbaik dan menganalisis alternatif sarapan yang tinggi protein dan serat dalam bentuk flakes dari bahan lokal yang terdiri dari mocaf, beras hitam, kacang koro pedang. Perlakuan terdiri atas proporsi mocaf:beras hitam:tapioka masing-masing sebesar 85:10:5; 75:20:5; dan 65:30:5; dan persentase penambahan tepung kacang koro pedang sebanyak 10–30%.Variabel yang dikaji adalah kadar air, kadar abu, lemak total, protein total, kadar karbohidrat, serat pangan,dan nilai energi. Sifat sensori berupa warna, tekstur, aroma kacang dan flavor juga dianalisis. Perlakuan terbaik terdapat pada proporsi mocaf:beras hitam:tapioka dengan rasio 65:30:5 dan dengan penambahan tepung kacang koro pedang sebanyak 10%. Kandungan air, kadar abu, protein total, lemak total, karbohidrat, serta serat pangan yang dihasilkan dari perlakuan terbaik ini masing-masing sebesar 9,43; 1,43; 5,21; 4,48; 79,44; dan 15,46%. Hasil uji hedonik diperoleh nilai berkisar dari 3,6 sampai 3,8. Kesimpulannya, formulasi flakes Mohiro dari mocaf-beras hitam dengan penambahan kacang koro pedang dapat ditentukan formulasinya dengan baik dan dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif sarapan tinggi protein dan serat pangan.Formula of Mohiro Flakes Made of Mocaf-Black Rice Supplementated with Jack Bean as Alternative Breakfast High Protein and Dietary FiberAbstractThis research was objected to determine the best formula and characterize flakes made of mocaf, black rice, and tapioca suplemented with jack bean flour. The treatments consisted of ratio of mocaf:black rice:tapioca i.e. 85:10:5; 75:20:5; and 65:30:5 and 10-30% of jack bean flour then was added in the dough. Water content, ash content, total fat, total protein,carbohydrate, and dietary fiber were analyzed. Color, texture aroma, and flavor were also analyzed as sensory properties. The best treatment in this study was the flakes with proportion of 65:30:5 with 10% supplementation of jack bean flour. Water, ash, protein, fat, carbohydrate, and dietary fiber content of the best treatment were 9.43; 1.43; 5.21; 4.48; 79.44; and 15.46 %, respectively. The hedonic test value resulted the value between 3.6–3.8. As conclusion, formulation of Mohiro flakes made of mocaf-black rice with jack bean supplementation could be determined and might be used as alternative source of high protein and dietary fiber breakfast.

Abstract

THE EFFECT OF NON-DIET FOOD STANDARDS MODIFICATION ON WASTED FOOD COSTS IN CLASS III GERIATRIC PATIENTS AT RSUP dr. SOERADJI TIRTONEGORO KLATEN ABSTRACT Background: Decreasing food intake in geriatric patients due to physical and psychological conditions has an impact on the high percentage of food plate waste and wasted food costs. This study aims to determine the effect of non-diet food standards modification on the cost of food wasted on class III geriatric patients at RSUP dr. Soeradji Tirtonegoro Klaten. Methods: This experimental study used a post test only with control group design. The sample consisted of 34 people divided into 2 groups, the treatment group that received food standard modification and the control group that received food according to hospital standards. The food plate waste of each group was observed for 2 days using the Comstock visual estimation method. Wasted food costs were calculated by multiplying the percentage of food plate waste per menu item with food prices. The effect of non-diet food standards modification on wasted food costs was analyzed using the Mann Whitney test with a confidence degree of 95% (α = 0.05) Results: The average wasted food cost in the treatment group was Rp 2.806,34 and the control group was Rp 3.443,43. The results of the analysis of the effect of non-diet food standards modification on wasted food cost by the Mann Whitney test showed a p-value of 0.109 (> 0.05) Conclusion: There is no significant effect of non-diet food standards modification on wasted food costs in class III geriatric patients at RSUP dr. Soeradji Tirtonegoro Klaten.

Abstract

Tujuan : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melaporkan kaitan IMT dengan profil sindroma metabolik sebagai prediktor penyakit tidak menular pada masyarakat usia produktif Posbindu Kabupaten Banyumas. Metode : Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian observasional dengan desain penelitian potong lintang. Pengambilan data dilakukan pada bulan Mei 2017 dengan mengambil data variabel bebas yaitu Indeks Massa Tubuh (IMT) dan variabel tergantung yaitu profil sindroma metabolik yaitu HDL, lingkar perut, tekanan darah, gula darah, dan trigliserida. Sejumlah 107 subjek berusia 15-64 tahun dari 2 Posbindu PTM di Banyumas dikaji data demografis, Indeks Massa Tubuh (IMT) dan hubungannya dengan profil sindroma metabolik dengan analisis korelasi Pearson. Hasil : IMT berhubungan dengan beberapa profil sindroma metabolik yaitu berhubungan negatif dengan HDL (P=0,006) dan berhubungan positif dengan trigliserida (P=0,016), tekanan darah diastolik (P=0,002), dan lingkar perut (P=0,000); namun tidak ditemukan hubungan signifikan antara IMT dengan gula darah puasa (P=0,968) dan tekanan darah sistolik (P=0,064). IMT memiliki hubungan dengan beberapa profil sindroma metabolik (HDL, trigliserida, tekanan darah diastolik dan lingkar perut). Kesimpulan : Posbindu dapat menggunakan IMT sebagai parameter untuk meningkatkan kewaspadaan pesertanya terhadap risiko penyakit tidak menular seperti Penyakit Jantung Koroner dan Stroke.

Abstract

Nowadays, the franchise business is growing very rapidly, one of which is sweet beverages. The characteristics of the berverages have a high sugar content that exceeds the recommended limit for daily consumption, which is 6-12 g. Excess sugar consumption can lead to being overweight. This study aimed to know the sugar content and total calories contained in franchise beverages. This research was an observational study with descriptive analysis design. The sugar content was tested using the Nelson-Somogyi method and total calories were tested using a bomb calorimeter. The number of beverage samples were 8 samples of drinks and toppings based on the best-selling drinks. The average total sugar contained in selected franchise beverages were 39,81 g/serving size and total calories were 389,75 kcal/serving size. The conclusion that total sugar contained in the selected drink topping was 2,47 g/serving size and total calories was 60,72 kcal/serving size. The average sugar content and total calories were exceeded the recommended daily sugar intake, so it was necessary to limit daily consumption of these drinks.

Abstract

MetS (MetS) is a predictor of cardiovascular disease and type 2 Diabetes mellitus. The prevalence of MetS increases not only in the urban area but also in the rural area. Women have a greater risk of MetS than men in some studies. This study was purposed to describe MetS prevalence and pattern of rural area women in the Integrated Development Post of Non-communicable Disease (Posbindu PTM) in Cilongok Rural Area. A population-based cross-sectional study was conducted in Cilongok, Banyumas rural area of Central Java among 63 rural women. Data were collected by interviews; measurement of fasting blood glucose, high-density lipoprotein, and triacylglycerol; measurement of blood pressure and abdominal circumference. Food consumption data were collected by multiply 24-hours food recalls. MetS were categorized by NCEP ATP III 2001 criteria. The prevalence of MetS in rural area women was 31.75%. Age was associated with MetS (p-value 0.038 ;95% CI : 0.983-23.63). Women with MetS have significant differences with women without MetS in the value of fasting blood glucose, high-density lipoprotein, triacylglycerol, blood pressure, and abdominal circumference (p-value <0.05). About 95% of MetS women have a high waist circumference and 80% have a low high-density lipoprotein. MetS women consumed higher energy than women without MetS (p-value <0.05). Conclusion: Prevalence of MetS in Cilongok rural area women was high. High in fasting blood glucose, high-density lipoprotein, triacylglycerol, blood pressure, and abdominal circumference were found to be a predictor of MetS. High energy consumption becomes a risk factor for MetS.

Abstract

The prevalence of stunting in children under five is influenced by genetic factors and nutritional status originating from direct nutritional intake. This study aims to determine the contribution of genetic factors and food intake to the occurrence of stunting in toddlers in the Rajapolah Community Health Center area. This research used an observational methodology with a case-control design involving a total of 66 toddler participants. Among them, 33 people were identified as having stunting (with height-for-age Z-score < -2 SD), while 33 people had normal nutritional status (height-for-age Z-score => -2 SD). The participants were selected using purposive sampling. Data analysis includes applying the unpaired T test for normally distributed data, as well as the Mann-Whitney test for non-normally distributed data. The results of this investigation highlight significant differences in genetic aspects of height (both father and mother) between the stunted and non-stunting toddler groups (with p values of 0,029 and 0.046, respectively). In addition, nutritional intake, including energy (p-value<0,001), protein (p-value<0,001), fat (p-value=0,01), and carbohydrates (p<0,001), was between the two groups. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that genetic factors (in the form of parental height) and nutritional intake (including energy, protein, fat and carbohydrates) have a significant influence on the occurrence of stunting in toddlers. Therefore, this research is a basis for designing interventions aimed at mitigating the problem of stunting within the operational scope of the Rajapolah Community Health Center.

Abstract

Status gizi siswa Sekolah Dasar (SD) masih menjadi salah satu masalah kesehatan di Indonesia. Pengetahuan gizi anak menjadi faktor penting yang berpengaruh terhadap status gizi, karena pengetahuan tentang gizi anak akan membentuk perilaku anak saat menentukan memilih, dan membeli makanan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis pengaruh pendidikan gizi dengan menggunakan metode ceramah dibantu media Teka Teki Silang (TTS) terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan gizi seimbang siswa kelas V dan VI SDN Sukahening Kabupaten Tasikmalaya. Desain penelitian yang digunakan yaitu quasi-experimental dengan rancangan without control group design. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas V dan VI yang berusia 10-14 tahun sebanyak 88 orang. Hasil dari penelitian yaitu menunjukkan bahwa ada peningkatan signifikan pada tes pengetahuan gizi seimbang dengan nilai selisih post-test dan pre-test sebesar 1,0. Hasil Uji beda menggunakan Wilcoxon bernilai 0,00 (p value 0,05) menunjukkan adanya perbedaan nilai pengetahuan gizi seimbang sebelum dan sesudah pendidikan gizi seimbang. Kesimpulan penelitian ini ada pengaruh penggunaan metode ceramah dengan media TTS terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan gizi seimbang. Saran penelitian yaitu diharapkan untuk memperhitungkan estimasi waktu dan kendala-kendala yang mungkin terjadi.

Abstract

Remaja putri merupakan kelompok usia yang rentan mengalami gangguan menstruasi seperti siklus menstruasi yang tidak teratur. Kurangnya asupan gizi dapat mempengaruhi gangguan menstruasi yang akan membaik bila asupan zat gizinya baik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis hubungan status gizi dan asupan lemak dengan siklus menstruasi pada remaja putri. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode observasional analitik dengan desain rancangan cross sectional. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 75 siswi SMK Bina Putera Nusantara Kota Tasikmalaya Tahun 2022 diambil sebagai sampel dengan teknik purposive sampling dari total populasi 91 siswi. Tinggi Badan diukur dengan microtoice dan berat badan diukur menggunakan timbangan digital. Data asupan lemak diperoleh menggunakan Semi Quantitative Food Frequency Questionnaire (SQ-FFQ) satu bulan terakhir. Data siklus menstruasi diperoleh dari kuesioner siklus menstruasi. Hasil analisis data dengan uji chi square menunjukkan ada hubungan yang signifikan antara staus gizi dan asupan lemak dengan siklus menstruasi dengan p-value = 0,000 (p0,05) pada siswi SMK Bina Putera Nusantara Kota Tasikmalaya Tahun 2022.
