Abstract

This study explores the relationship between Al-Qur'an literacy skills and Arabic language learning achievement among 11th-grade students at MA Darul Hikmah Sirandorung. Employing a qualitative approach with a case study method, the research involved participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. Results indicate a positive correlation between Al-Qur'an literacy skills and Arabic language achievement, with an increase in average scores from 70 to 85 following the implementation of an Al-Qur'an literacy enhancement program. Contributing factors include similarities in phonological systems, vocabulary reinforcement, and improved sentence structure comprehension. Implementation challenges encompass diverse student backgrounds and time constraints. The study recommends developing integrated modules, teacher training, holistic assessment systems, and utilizing learning technology to optimize Arabic language learning through the integration of Al-Qur'an literacy programs Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi hubungan antara kemampuan baca tulis Al-Qur'an dengan prestasi belajar Bahasa Arab pada siswa kelas XI MA Darul Hikmah Sirandorung. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus, penelitian ini melibatkan observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam, dan analisis dokumen. Hasil menunjukkan korelasi positif antara kemampuan baca tulis Al-Qur'an dan prestasi Bahasa Arab, dengan peningkatan nilai rata-rata dari 70 menjadi 85 setelah implementasi program penguatan baca tulis Al-Qur'an. Faktor-faktor yang berkontribusi meliputi kesamaan sistem fonologi, penguatan kosakata, dan peningkatan pemahaman struktur kalimat. Tantangan dalam implementasi termasuk perbedaan latar belakang siswa dan keterbatasan waktu. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan pengembangan modul terintegrasi, pelatihan guru, sistem penilaian holistik, dan pemanfaatan teknologi pembelajaran untuk optimalisasi pembelajaran Bahasa Arab melalui integrasi program baca tulis Al-Qur'an.

Abstract

How to increase the profits (profitability) for MSMEs (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) is to facilitate the economic empowerment. The aim of implementing service to MSMEs in the Muhammadiyah area in Medan is to find the various problems of MSMEs which only gain profits when Muhammadiyah enterprises activities in educational schools. MSMEs tend to stagnate in terms of their profit and product levels, in addition to the minimal role of Muhammadiyah leadership in providing moral and material support (financing). The results of dedication to empowering MSMEs in the Muhammadiyah area of Medan include creating strategies including collaboration between MSMEs in the Muhammadiyah enterprises in Medan by selling products to Muhammadiyah members and sympathizers. Apart from that, MSME product innovation is really needed in order to provide interest to (potential) consumers not only in the market segment within the Muhammadiyah area, but also outdoor Muhammadiyah area. The final solution in this empowerment is the concern of Muhammadiyah enterprises leaders and Muhammadiyah leadership as Muhammadiyah enterprises management towards MSMEs to provide moral and material support (providing access to financing) in the Muhammadiyah economic movement

Abstract

Al-Islam Kemuhammadiyahan, as one of the characteristics of PTM (Muhammadiyah Higher Education), is the implementation of Islamic religious education in schools, not only developed in science but also in the formation of personality, which is developed through material from the Qur'an, creeds, morals, worship, muamalah, and muhammadiyahan. Attitudes towards AIK learning influence AIK learning achievement. This research aims to develop an attitude scale towards AIK learning. This research was carried out in 4 stages: preparation, item writing, tryout, and psychometric test. Attitude towards AIK learning is conceptualized as a pattern of behavior, anticipatory tendencies or readiness, predisposition to adapt to social situations or attitudes, and response to conditioned social stimuli consisting of cognitive, affective, and conative aspects. The initial scale of 112 items was given to 30 students at the Muhammadiyah University of North Sumatra. The final results show that this scale has a good consistency (Excellent), with a value of α = 0.938.

Abstract

Today's education sector has profited immensely from changing circumstances, scientific discoveries, and information and communication technology improvements. The fourth industrial revolution and digitization have brought about a rapid development of the current period. In spite of this, there are still teachers who do not know how to use technology to improve student learning. As a result, learning outcomes are ineffective and pupils become bored.  There are lots of educational video game apps available for students to use. One of the advances in learning utilizing modern learning media is Kahoot, an interactive internet application used as a teaching tool in schools that shows quizzes as online games. The study aims to ascertain the following: (1) how the Kahoot application is used in the learning process; (2) how students respond when using Kahoot media in the learning process; and (3) how the quality of student learning outcomes compares before and after the Kahoot application is applied.

Abstract

Tujuan PKM yang berjudul “Peningkatan Kualitas Pengasuhan dan Perawatan Anak Melalui Program Pengembangan SDM Pengasuh di Panti Asuhan Bayi Sehat Muhammadiyah Kota Medan” adalah untuk memberikan pemahaman bagaimana mengasuh anak secara profesional. Sasaran mitra adalah pengasuh dan pengurus Panti Asuhan Bayi Sehat Muhammadiyah Kota Medan. Pelaksanan kegitan dilakukan pada tanggal 19 Januari 2025 pukul 10.00 wib s/d selesai. Lokasi pelaksanaan di Panti Asuhan Bayi Sehat Muhammadiyah Kota Medan. Metode yang digunakan mencakup kelompok workshop dan diskusi, melibatkan 9 peserta yang berusia di atas 20 tahun. Kegiatan ini berhasil meningkatkan kapasitas pengasuh dalam memahami dan menerapkan prinsip-prinsip pengasuhan yang baik. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa pengasuh lebih mampu mengelola dan mendidik anak dengan pendekatan yang lebih sesuai. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan ini menekankan bahwa pengasuhan yang baik tidak hanya membentuk karakter anak, tetapi juga memberikan harapan untuk masa depan yang lebih baik. Setiap anak berhak mendapatkan kasih sayang dan perhatian yang diperlukan untuk tumbuh dan berkembang. Program ini diharapkan dapat memberikan dampak positif yang berkelanjutan bagi kualitas pengasuhan di panti asuhan dan membangun karakter anak-anak untuk masa depan yang lebih baik.

Abstract

This study aims to see the influence of Usability Perception, Ease of Use, Attitude, and Behavioral Intention on Technology-Based AIK Learning in Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara. Technology is currently an indicator of the development of science. Currently, Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara continues to try to develop technology-based learning media towards a world-class university. However, many students are still not maximized with running the technology prepared for teaching, especially in AIK courses. This study uses a quantitative approach, hypothesis testing, and the inner model obtained from data processing using SMART PLS.  The conclusion are this study the t-statistic value for variable X1 (perceived usefulness) indicates that perceived convenience does not affect technology-based AIK learning, and the t-statistic value for variable X2 (Ease of Use) indicates that ease of use does not affect technology-based AIK learning. So, the t-statistic value for variable X3 (Attitude) indicates that attitude affects technology-based AIK learning. The t-statistic value for variable X4 (Behavioral Intention) indicates that Behavioral Intention affects technology-based AIK learning. The Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) explains how users accept and adopt technology based on two main factors: perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. In the context of AIK learning at Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara (UMSU), TAM plays a crucial role in shaping the effectiveness and efficiency of technology-based learning.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of using the Educaplay educational game in improving Arabic language learning outcomes for 11th-grade science students at Mas Al-Manar Medan. Adopting a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design, the research involved 25 students selected through a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through a pretest, posttest, observation sheets, and a student perception questionnaire. Data analysis used a Paired Sample T-Test to compare pretest and posttest scores, as well as descriptive analysis for the observation and perception data. The results show a highly significant increase in students' average scores after the intervention, rising from 40.36 on the pretest to 71.16 on the posttest. This improvement is supported by observation data, which indicates increased active student participation, and questionnaire results, which reveal students' positive perceptions of this learning method. In conclusion, the use of the Educaplay educational game is highly effective in improving Arabic language learning outcomes, motivation, and student participation

Abstract

This study is to determine the implementation of the Quran tahfidz program which has been carried out in accordance with the program at SMP 57 Muhammadiyah, Mustafa, Medan. The research data collection technique uses qualitative methods with technical observation, interviews and documentation. Analysis uses library research using literature in the form of books and is also in accordance with the results of the report notes in the research. In this research, a problem was found, namely that the implementation of the tahfidz program was less effective due to inadequate tahfidz hours, so that memorization was not done regularly. However, the results of the research show that the implementation of the tahfidz program at SMP 57 Muhammadiyah can increase students' religiosity well because it fosters awareness that a hafidz's soul must be good and also has an influence on students' religiosity which can be seen from the results of changes in the development of character and morals in students. So, with the implementation of the tahfidz Quran activity, it will grow and increase awareness in the human spirit of the importance of this tahfidz program in schools with the Koran, and the tahfidz activity can be a movement for evil and good deeds. In implementing tahfidz activities, targets and methods for memorizing are also needed, such as the importance of good focus in memorizing, etc., which will be studied as problematic in this research.

Abstract

Modern education today may be very different from education in the past. Nowadays, education is more constructive and heavily relies on information and communication technology. Learning should be able to develop skills such as critical thinking and problem solving, creativity and innovation, communication, collaboration. Therefore, teachers must be creative and innovative educators in creating learning media that can enhance students' motivation to learn, one of which is in selecting varied and digital-based learning media in accordance with technological developments in the current era. The method used in this research is the qualitative experimental method using an experimental approach. The aim of this research is to describe creative and innovative learning media by utilizing Canva digital media to create learning media in the form of videos in the subject of Fiqih. The first results of this research is the increase in students' learning motivation marked by the increasing interest of students in observing the learning with the created media, and the improvement in students' discipline, second, the features available in the digital media Canva make it easier for teachers and students to create learning media, third, because there are not many teachers or students who are familiar with digital media Canva, further research is needed to achieve even better results.
