Abstract

Pendidikan dasar memiliki peran strategis dalam pembinaan generasi muda, di mana keterlibatan orang tua sangat penting dalam mendukung proses belajar dan pembentukan karakter siswa. Namun, komunikasi antara guru dan orang tua seringkali terbatas, terutama ketika menggunakan platform WhatsApp, yang tidak optimal untuk kerjasama yang terstruktur. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan di SDN 101874 Tumpatan Nibung untuk mengatasi tantangan tersebut dengan memanfaatkan Google Sites sebagai Learning Management System (LMS) berbasis web. Melalui sosialisasi, pelatihan, penerapan teknologi, dan pendampingan, kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberdayakan guru dan orang tua dalam mendukung pembelajaran siswa. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas peserta, yang sebelumnya belum familiar dengan Google Sites, menjadi sangat berminat dan puas dengan program ini, serta merasakan manfaat praktis dalam penggunaannya. Pengabdian ini berhasil meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan guru dalam memanfaatkan teknologi untuk mendukung literasi siswa di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan pada Sekolah Dasar (SD) di Kecamatan Pantai Labu Kabupaten Deli Serdang, dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Kualitas Sumber Daya Manusia Terhadap Kinerja Guru Sekolah Dasar (SD) di Kecamatan Pantai Labu Kabupaten Deli Serdang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif, dimana penulis membagikan kuesioner untuk pengumpulan data. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode purpose sampling yang berjumlah 60 responden dari sekolah UPT SPF SDN 107420 Desa Tengah dan UPT SPF SDN 106186 Kubah Sentang. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis data yang digunakan dengan rumus statistik, analisis regresi linier sederhana dan uji hipotesis (terdiri uji T, uji F dan uji R). Hasil uji parsial menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh kualitas sumber daya manusia sumber daya manusia terhadap kinerja pada Guru Sekolah Dasar (SD) di Kecamatan Pantai Labu Kabupaten Deli Serdang, hal ini diketahui dari nilai t hitung variabel kualitas sumber daya manusia sebesar 2,753, t tabel sebesar 2,010 maka 2,753 > 2,010 berarti variabel kualitas sumber daya manusia memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap variabel kinerja. Hasil uji R menunjukkan bahwa kualitas sumber daya manusia mempengaruhi kinerja sebanyak 53% dan selebihnya 47% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain. Sedangkan hasil uji F menunjukkan nilai Sig. = 0,03 dimana 0,03 < 0,05 artinya kualitas sumber daya manusia memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap variabel kinerja.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of Learning Management System (LMS) media developed using Google Sites for teaching Optical Instrument material to Class XI students at SMAS Istiqlal Delitua. The study focuses on the development of an LMS to enhance students' learning interest. The subjects of this research were 29 students from Class XI IPA 1. The research adopted the ADDIE model for development. The results revealed that the LMS is highly feasible as a learning medium. Assessments by material and media experts yielded average feasibility scores of 93.3% and 91.2%, respectively, both categorized as "Very Good." Student and teacher responses to the Google Sites-based LMS demonstrated a high level of practicality and interest, with an average response score of 91.5%, classified as "Very Practical/Interesting." The effectiveness test, based on pretest and posttest comparisons, indicated significant improvement in students' learning outcomes. The t-test result showed an Asymp. Sig (2-tailed) value of 0.000 (0.05), confirming a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores. The average N-Gain score was 0.62, categorized as "Effective." In conclusion, the Google Sites-based LMS is valid, practical, and effective, significantly enhancing students' understanding and interest in learning Optical Instrument material.

Abstract

Purpose – This study examines the effectiveness of the PBL model in enhancing students' CTS in physics education. It explores recent innovations, including digital learning tools, authentic assessment, and local cultural contexts.Methodology—This study uses a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach, guided by the PRISMA framework, to review 18 peer-reviewed articles published between 2014 and 2024. These studies focus on the impact of PBL on students' CTS in physics education.Findings – The findings show that PBL consistently improves students' CTS, with N-Gain values ranging from moderate to high (0.36–0.73). PBL outperformed models like Discovery Learning, Reciprocal Learning, and Demonstration Methods, though the OR-IPA model performed better in some contexts, fostering higher-order thinking skills (HOTS). Innovations in PBL materials, such as worksheets, modules, E-LKPD, PhET simulations, and interactive multimedia, demonstrated high validity (0.82–0.93) and effectiveness in supporting Learning. PhET simulations and interactive multimedia helped students understand abstract physics concepts and enhanced critical thinking.Contribution—This study highlights the importance of integrating technology, local wisdom, and web-based Learning in PBL to enhance its effectiveness. It also provides practical recommendations for educators, including developing technology-based materials, teacher training, and improved access to learning resources like computers and the Internet

Abstract

The increasing problem of plastic waste, especially in school environments, requires creative and educational solutions to address it. The Eco Kreatif program aims to raise students' environmental awareness through the activity of recycling plastic bottles into hanging flower pots. This program employs a project-based learning method, where students at SDN 104233 Bandar Labuhan participate in stages of socialization, demonstration, and hands-on practice in designing and decorating flower pots from used plastic bottles. The results show that more than 85% of students understand the importance of recycling and have acquired the skills to transform plastic waste into valuable products. Additionally, this program helps foster students' creativity and enhances their environmental awareness. Thus, the Eco Kreatif program not only contributes to reducing plastic waste but also serves as an effective environmental education tool from an early age.

Abstract

The development of digital technology demands an increase in teacher competence in integrating interactive media in the learning process, especially science and mathematics subjects that are often considered difficult by students. The main problem faced by junior high school teachers in Pasar Dua Patumbak Patumbak District Deli Serdang Regency is the limitation in utilizing digital learning media that is interesting and effective. This service activity aims to improve the ability of teachers to design and use digital-based interactive media to support innovative and fun learning. The implementation method includes training, mentoring and hands-on practice of making learning media using simple applications such as Canva, interactive PowerPoint, and Wordwall. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in teacher competence as shown by the evaluation results before and after the training where 85% of teachers experienced an increase in understanding in the use of interactive media and 78% succeeded in making media that was feasible to be applied in the classroom. 82% of teachers felt more confident to be able to apply interactive media in science and mathematics learning. The results of these activities show that structured and practical interactive media training is proven to be effective in improving the quality of teacher teaching and can be an innovative solution for learning in the digital era.

Abstract

Program KKN Kolaboratif UMN-AW 44 di Desa Sukorejo, Kecamatan Sei Balai, Kabupaten Batu Bara dilaksanakan sebagai upaya penguatan kesehatan masyarakat dan kebersihan lingkungan melalui penyuluhan pencegahan stunting serta inovasi pemanfaatan kotoran sapi menjadi pupuk organik. Latar belakang kegiatan ini berangkat dari tingginya angka stunting di desa, yakni terdapat 47 balita terindikasi stunting, serta rendahnya kesadaran masyarakat terhadap pola hidup bersih dan sehat. Metode pelaksanaan program meliputi observasi, sosialisasi, edukasi interaktif, dan demonstrasi. Program utama terdiri dari penyuluhan pencegahan stunting dan pemberian MPASI, pengolahan kotoran sapi menjadi pupuk organik, serta KKN Mengajar di SD Negeri 18 Sukorejo. Hasil program menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kesadaran masyarakat terkait pemenuhan gizi dan kebersihan lingkungan, keberhasilan produksi pupuk organik dengan tingkat partisipasi tinggi, serta antusiasme siswa dalam menerapkan pola hidup bersih sehat. Persentase keberhasilan masing-masing program mencapai 96–100%. Program ini membuktikan bahwa pendekatan edukatif dan inovatif berbasis masyarakat mampu mendorong perubahan perilaku, menurunkan faktor risiko stunting, dan menciptakan nilai tambah ekonomi melalui pengelolaan limbah ternak.

Abstract

Program pengabdian ini difokuskan pada penguatan efikasi diri dan kompetensi interpersonal tenaga pendidik melalui skema pelatihan kecerdasan intrapersonal. Melibatkan 13 partisipan, kegiatan ini mengintegrasikan edukasi teoretis dengan praktik reflektif melalui penggunaan jurnal, teknik mindfulness, serta simulasi peran (role-play). Pendekatan partisipatif yang diterapkan menjamin keterlibatan aktif subyek dalam setiap tahapan pelatihan. Data evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dengan rata-rata pertumbuhan skor sebesar 18,6 poin. Temuan utama menunjukkan adanya transformasi paradigma di mana guru mulai menempatkan kesadaran diri sebagai fondasi utama kepercayaan diri. Implementasi metode ini efektif dalam meningkatkan ketangkasan emosional dan keterampilan komunikasi profesional di lingkungan sekolah.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effect of the Teams Game Tournament (TGT) learning model assisted by Question Cards on senior high school students’ conceptual understanding of sound wave material. The research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design using the nonequivalent control group design. The subjects were eleventh-grade students of SMAN 2 Lubuk Pakam, with class XI-C as the experimental group (36 students) and class XI-A as the control group (34 students). The research instruments consisted of pretest and posttest questions as well as observation sheets. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ conceptual understanding after the implementation of the TGT model assisted by Question Cards. Based on the hypothesis testing using an independent samples t-test, the posttest significance value was 0.000 < 0.05, indicating a significant difference between the experimental and control groups. The N-Gain analysis revealed that the experimental group achieved an average N-gain score of 0.65 (moderate to high category), while the control group obtained 0.31 (low to moderate category). These findings indicate that the TGT model assisted by Question Cards is more effective in improving conceptual understanding than the lecture method. In conclusion, the use of the TGT model assisted by Question Cards has a positive and significant effect on enhancing students’ understanding of physics concepts. This model is able to create an active, enjoyable, and competitive learning environment while simultaneously increasing students’ participation and self-confidence in understanding the material.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effect of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model integrated with PhET virtual laboratory media on students’ science process skills at MAS Insan Kesuma Madani. The research employed a quasi-experimental design with purposive sampling technique. The participants were divided into an experimental class and a control class. Data were collected using a science process skills test instrument. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics with parametric tests. The findings revealed that the experimental class obtained a higher average N-Gain score (47.5) compared to the control class (20.2). This result indicates a moderate improvement in the experimental group. The hypothesis testing showed a significant difference between the two classes (Sig. 2-tailed = 0.000 < 0.05). These findings confirm that the implementation of the PjBL model integrated with PhET has a positive and significant effect on students’ science process skills. Therefore, this learning model is effective in enhancing students’ science process skills, particularly on the topic of work and energy.
