Abstract

This research was conducted to find out: (1) the leadership of the heads of state vocational schools in Wajo district; (2) the performance of teaching staff at state vocational schools in Wajo district; and (3) whether there is a significant influence of principal leadership on the performance of state vocational education staff in Wajo district. The techniques used for data collection are documentation and questionnaires. The total population is 32 public vocational education staff in Wajo district. The collected data were processed using quantitative statistical analysis (percentage) and inferential statistical analysis (product-moment correlation) with a significance level of 5. The results of the data analysis showed that: (1) the leadership of the head of education at SMK Negeri in Wajo Regency is in a good category; (2) the performance of the State Vocational High School teaching staff in Wajo Regency is in the medium category; and (3) there is a significant influence of the principal's leadership on the performance of the State Vocational High School education staff in Wajo Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to explain the influence of cooperative learning on the increase in students' interest in learning in the context of education. A qualitative approach with the type of library research is used to explore the concept of cooperative learning and its impact on students' interest in learning. Through secondary data analysis and using Miles and Huberman data analysis methods, this study gained an in-depth understanding of how cooperative learning affects students' learning interests. The results of the study show that the application of the cooperative learning model results in a significant increase in students' interest in learning. Factors such as the integration of game elements, cooperation between students in teams, and an inclusive environment play a key role in stimulating greater interest in learning. Cooperative learning strategies not only improve academic achievement, but also create high motivation for students to understand the learning material better. Nonetheless, challenges such as an unsupportive environment and active student involvement need to be addressed through a precise and sustainable approach that involves collaboration between educators, students, and education stakeholders.

Abstract

This research aims to find out the role of the Independent Student Exchange Program in increasing student tolerance. This study used qualitative research methods. This research uses various written data sources such as articles, documents and government policies related to education. The results of this research show that the Nusantara Module activities with four activity points consisting of, diversity, reflection, inspiration and social contribution provide a very big impact and role in increasing the tolerance attitude of Independent Student Exchange Program students as well as providing opportunities for Exchange Program students. Merdeka Students' ability to carry out the learning process together with regular students of the recipient universities further strengthens the tolerant attitude of the students of the Merdeka Student Exchange Program system.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh adanya ketidakpuasan mahasiswa terhadap layanan (SIAKAD) di FIP Universitas Puangrimaggalatung, kurang efektifnya layanan (SIAKAD) berupa mahasiswa yang belum paham akan penggunaan (SIAKAD) dan situs web yang tidak muncul dihalaman pencarian browser. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan sistem informasi akademik (SIAKAD) di FIP Universitas Puangrimaggalatung, mendeskripsikan Kepuasan layanan (SIAKAD) mahasiswa FIP Universitas Puangrimaggalatung, dan untuk mengetahui berpengaruh tidaknya kualitas sistem informasi akademik (SIAKAD) terhadap kepuasan mahasiswa FIP Universitas Puangrimaggalatung. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dan menggunakan analisis statistik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan penelitian survei. Adapun populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu mahasiswa FIP Universitas Puangrimaggalatung yang berjumlah 386 orang dan teknik dalam pengambilan sampel yaitu dengan menggunakan rumus slovin yaitu berjumlah 80 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data penelitian ini adalah menggunakan angket dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis persentase, uji validitas, uji reabilitas, uji regresi sederhana, uji t, dan ujideterminasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kualitas sistem informasi akademik (SIAKAD) mempunyai pengaruh terhadap kepuasan mahasiswa di FIP Universitas Puangrimaggalatung yang bernilai positif dan signifikan.

Abstract

The high dropout rate in Indonesia remains a significant challenge in the education sector, especially at the primary level. Economic factors such as poverty, limited access to education, and lack of parental support are among the main contributors to this issue. This study employs a qualitative approach using literature review methods to analyze various economic factors influencing school dropouts. The research aims to identify key economic barriers and propose viable solutions to mitigate their impact on education. The findings indicate that household economic conditions, inadequate educational facilities, and limited financial support for underprivileged students are the dominant factors hindering access to education. The study concludes that increasing educational subsidies, providing targeted scholarships, and ensuring more equitable distribution of educational infrastructure are strategic measures to reduce dropout rates. Therefore, collaboration between the government, society, and private sector is essential in improving educational accessibility for all children in Indonesia.

Abstract

Manajemen arsip yang baik merupakan bagian penting dalam mendukung kelancaran administrasi sekolah. Tata usaha sebagai pelaksana teknis administrasi memiliki peran strategis dalam pencatatan, penyimpanan, dan penyajian dokumen terkait surat menyurat, data akademik, kepegawaian, dan laporan keuangan. Namun, dalam praktiknya, manajemen arsip di sekolah masih menghadapi berbagai kendala, seperti keterbatasan fasilitas, belum adanya sistem digitalisasi, dan kurangnya pelatihan bagi tenaga administrasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan secara mendalam peran tata usaha dalam mengelola arsip sekolah di UPID SMP Negeri 4 Sengkang, Kecamatan Tempe Kabupaten Wajo. Penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi sistem kearsipan yang diterapkan, kendala yang dihadapi, dan upaya yang dilakukan untuk meningkatkan efektivitas manajemen arsip. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara mendalam, observasi langsung, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tenaga administrasi memiliki peran penting dalam manajemen arsip, terutama dalam hal pencatatan surat masuk dan keluar, penyimpanan data siswa, dan penyusunan laporan keuangan. Sistem pengarsipan yang ada masih manual, tetapi sudah dilaksanakan secara terklasifikasi dan tertib. Kendala utama yang dihadapi antara lain terbatasnya fasilitas penyimpanan, belum adanya digitalisasi arsip, dan kurangnya pelatihan teknis. Meskipun demikian, staf TU menunjukkan komitmen tinggi dalam menjaga kerapian arsip dan memberikan layanan administrasi yang optimal.

Abstract

Education is the main foundation in the development of a nation, playing an important role in forming competent human resources (HR) who are ready to compete in the global era. This article explores the relationship between the quality of education and the development of HR skills, highlighting the importance of education that is relevant, inclusive, and adaptive to the needs of the labor market. Through a descriptive qualitative approach and literature study, this study found that good quality education not only improves individual abilities, but also contributes to economic growth, social welfare, and poverty alleviation. Challenges faced in improving the quality of education, such as limited resources and teacher quality, need to be addressed through increasing the education budget and continuous training for teachers. The results of this study are expected to provide significant contributions to policy makers and practitioners in formulating strategies to improve the quality of education, so as to create a productive, innovative, and competitive workforce. Thus, investment in quality education is a must to drive the nation's progress in the long term.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the level of use of technology that still needs to be improved and the use of technology is more demanding than necessary. This study aims to determine the influence of transformational leadership of school principals on the use of information technology as a learning resource at UPT SMAN 9 Wajo. This type of research is a quantitative research, where data is collected through a questionnaire distributed to teachers at UPT SMAN 9 Wajo. The data analysis used was normality test, descriptive analysis, simple linear regression analysis and simple regression coefficient test. The results of the study showed that there was a positive influence between the transformational leadership of the principal and the increase in the use of information technology by teachers as a learning resource by 55% and the level of information technology use at UPT SMAN 9 Wajo was in the good category with a percentage of 45%.

Abstract

Quality education forms the primary foundation for shaping a competent and competitive generation. Teachers, as the spearhead of the learning process, play a strategic role in creating a learning environment that is effective, engaging, and responsive to contemporary needs. This study aims to analyze the impact of enhancing teacher professionalism on teaching methods and its implications for achieving quality education. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, utilizing interviews, classroom observations, and documentation studies. The findings reveal that continuous professional development, competency enhancement, and reflective learning practices significantly contribute to teaching innovation, improved teacher-student interaction, and more optimal learning outcomes.
