Abstract

The Heritage awareness is an important element in ensuring the preservation of cultural heritage. Religion and cultural similarities are known to play an important role in heritage awareness. The problem in this research was the low awareness of the local community of their heritage, which was built from different religious cultures. In line with this, it is important to build an identity that can connect the community's religion with the religious context of the cultural heritage so that the community is aware of this heritage. This research aims to propose an architectural solution for raising public heritage awareness using religious similarity. Using literature review, the authors suggest the existence of a time tunnel that becomes a transitional space that connects people's current religious awareness with the past. The time tunnel is the context of cultural heritage in sites as well as in educational programs to raise awareness of the community's heritage as part of their identity. In general, the idea is supported by the liminality theory and threshold concept learning theory. We show the idea of using Buddhist heritage in contemporary Islamic Indonesia. These results provide concrete ideas based on architectural psychology and education and encourage the development of heritage conservation in areas that already have significant cultural differences from the communities that produce this heritage. Abstract

This article aims to provide socialization of efforts to prevent Covid-19. The Covid-19 outbreak has long been spreading in Indonesia for the past two years. The public needs to know some of the efforts to prevent Covid-19. One way to prevent Covid-19 infection is to wash your hands and use hand sanitizer. Many people do not understand how to wash their hands and use hand sanitizer properly, including students at SD Negeri 136 Palembang. Therefore, the Team carried out knowledge dissemination activities and provided assistance in preventing Covid-19 at Primary School 136 Palembang. This service activity is carried out through lectures and demonstrations. The result of this service is the implementation of socialization and providing counseling about hand washing and training on the use of good and correct hand sanitizers.

Abstract

The research method used in this research is the observation method through interviews at SDN 101 South Bengkulu. Thus, the effectiveness of a learning process is determined by the interaction of these three components. The subjects studied were the principal, teachers and 18 class V students. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews and documentation. The purpose of this research is to determine the importance of the teacher's role in implementing an effective learning process.

Abstract

Pendidikan adalah salah satu aspek krusial dalam memajukan suatu bangsa. Akses pendidikan antara wilayah perkotaan dan pedesaan masih terjadi kesenjangan. Salah satu upaya mengatasi kesenjangan ini muncul melalui pendirian Rumah Pintar Punggur Cerdas di Desa Punggur Kecil, Kabupaten Kubu Raya, Kalimantan Barat. Rumah Pintar bertujuan menumbuhkan semangat literasi bagi anak di desa punggur kecil, melalui kolaborasi MBKM Proyek Kemanusian FISIP UNTAN dengan TBM Rumah Pintar Punggur cerdas dalam meningkatkan literasi bagi anak di Desa Punggur Kecil sebagai salah satu bentuk pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang dilakukan dengan metode bimbingan belajar, perpustakaan keliling,sosialisasi, perencanaan kegiatan, dan edukasi literasi, kolaborasi ini bertujuan meningkatkan partisipasi pendidikan di kalangan anak-anak. Adapun hasil dari pengabdian ini adalah semakin meningkatnya semangat literasi bagi anak di Desa Punggur Kecil.

Abstract

Indonesia ranks third with the highest number of TB patients in the world after India and China. Initial data collection conducted at Daya Kota Makassar Regional General Hospital revealed that Pulmonary Tuberculosis is among the top 10 diseases in both outpatient and inpatient cases. The incidence of Pulmonary TB in outpatient cases was 783 in 2019, 210 in 2020, and 238 in 2021. The objective of this research is to determine the determinants of pulmonary tuberculosis incidence in outpatient patients at Daya Kota Makassar Regional General Hospital. The research method employed is quantitative research with a cross-sectional design. The population for the study includes all outpatient patients in the Pulmonary Clinic of Daya Kota Makassar Regional General Hospital, totaling 142 individuals, with a subject of 49 subjekts selected using purposive sampling technique. Bivariate analysis uses Chi-square, and multivariate analysis employs logistic regression. The research results indicate a correlation between knowledge (p-value=0,004), smoking behavior (p-value=0,003), and nutritional status (p-value=0,019) with the incidence of Pulmonary Tuberculosis. However, there is no socio-economic relationship with Pulmonary Tuberculosis incidence (p-value=0,169) at Daya Kota Makassar Regional General Hospital. It is recommended that the community participate in the socialization activities for preventing the risk of Pulmonary Tuberculosis provided by health cadres to reduce the incidence of Pulmonary Tuberculosis.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan buku cerita bergambar terhadap nilai karakter mandiri pada anak Kelompok B di TK Lisa Nuraeni Lenek Duren, Kecamatan Lenek, Lombok Timur. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen dan desain One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada nilai karakter mandiri anak setelah diberikan perlakuan menggunakan buku cerita bergambar. Skor rata-rata nilai karakter mandiri meningkat dari 55,47 pada tahap pretest menjadi 83,05 pada tahap ”posttest”. Peningkatan ini mencakup kemampuan anak dalam mengemukakan pendapat, menceritakan kembali cerita, merapikan barang-barang pribadi, menyelesaikan tugas secara mandiri, berbagi, mengendalikan emosi, dan berinteraksi sosial. Uji hipotesis mengonfirmasi bahwa penggunaan buku cerita bergambar memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap pengembangan nilai karakter mandiri anak. Hasil uji hipotesis menggunakan uji Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test juga mengonfirmasi adanya pengaruh signifikan dari media pembelajaran buku cerita bergambar terhadap peningkatan nilai karakter mandiri anak, sehingga nilai thitung> ttabel dengan nilai signifikasi 5% = hipotesis nol (Ho) ditolak dan hipotesis alternatif (Ha) diterima, artinya media buku cerita bergambar berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan Nilai Karakter Mandiri pada anak Kelompok B TK Lisa Nuraeni Lenek Duren..

Abstract

This culture includes customs that regulate daily life, regional languages ​​that are rich in local vocabulary, dance arts such as the Kancet Ledo Dance that depicts harmonious movements with nature, music such as the gendang beleq that accompanies ceremonies, the nuwo sesat traditional house that represents traditional architecture, and ceremonies such as Tulung Buyut that strengthen social ties. This study explores the Lampung keris as a complex and essential cultural symbol in Lampung society, Indonesia. Lampung culture, rich in traditions and noble values, faces the challenges of modernisation that threaten the loss of cultural identity. Using qualitative descriptive methods, the study identifies two main types of keris and describes their functions as status symbols and ritual tools. Cultural acculturation is reflected in the design of the keris, which adopts local elements and outside influences. The findings indicate the need for effective preservation strategies, such as local education and cultural promotion, to maintain the relevance of the keris not only as a tool but also as a link to the identity and heritage of the Lampung people amid changing times.

Abstract

Pelatihan berbasis alat peraga merupakan strategi pembelajaran yang efektif untuk membantu siswa sekolah dasar memahami konsep sains yang bersifat abstrak. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa SD Negeri 5 Jatimulyo terhadap konsep rangkaian listrik sederhana melalui pelatihan berbasis alat peraga, mengenalkan fungsi komponen listrik, memahami hubungan antara sumber energi, pengantar dan beban, serta mengembangkan keterampilan proses sains siswa melalui aktivitas rangkaian seri dan paralel. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi penyampaian materi dasar tentang komponen listrik, simulasi penggunaan alat peraga, serta praktik penyusunan rangkaian seri dan paralel secara berkelompok. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui pre-test dan post-test. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan nilai rata-rata siswa dari 60 pada pre-test menjadi 85 pada post-test, serta peningkatan nilai minimum dari 20 menjadi 70. Selain itu, sebanyak 80% siswa memperoleh nilai di atas 70 pada post-test. Ha ini menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan berbasis alat peraga efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep rangkaian listrik sederhana dan berpotensi menjadi alternatif pembelajaran sains yang aplikatif di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan (IPA) di sekolah dasar memerlukan pendekatan kontekstual dan berbasis pengalaman langsung agar siswa mampu memahami konsep-konsep sains secara konkret. Namun, pembelajaran IPA masih sering didominasi metode ceramah sehingga minat dan pemahaman siswa belm berkembang secara optimal. Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep tekanan udara dan gaya pada siswa SD Negeri 5 Jatimulyo, Lampung Selatan melalu pemanfaatan alat peraga roket air. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan menggunakan pendekatan eduktif-partisipatif dengan melibatkan siswa secara aktif salam proses pembuatan dan peluncuran roket air. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan nilai hasil belajar, perbaikan nilai minimum, serta meningkatnya keaktifan dan antusiasme siswa dalam pembelajaran. Kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan alat peraga roket air efektif sebagai media pembelajaran IPA yang kontekstual dan mampu meningkatkan pemahaman konsep sains siswa sekolah dasar.

Abstract

This service activity was motivated by the low interest of history teachers in creating media, especially in history subjects. Apart from that, there is also low student interest and motivation in learning, especially local history. So far, teachers in carrying out learning tend not to use media as a tool in conveying learning material, so learning is verbalistic plus the perception of history for some students is still considered a relatively difficult lesson. Therefore, it is necessary to create learning conditions that can familiarize children with history and their environment, one of which is by conducting learning using Banner media. This service activity aims to educate Palembang City YWKA High School teachers to increase their professionalism as History Teachers at Palembang YWKA High School. This activity also motivates teachers to design attractive learning media in the form of banners using local sources of excellence in the city of Palembang. The method of implementing activities carried out in this activity is lecture, question and answer and discussion, and the practice of making Banner media. It can be concluded that educational activities for YWKA High School Teachers in Palembang City provide teachers with understanding and skills in producing Banner learning media based on the local history of Arab Village Houses in Palembang City.
