Abstract

Infrastructure development is crucial in fostering economic growth. The development undertaken by the village government significantly influences the road infrastructure in Pulau Sejuk Village. With several damaged roads, the researcher was intrigued to explore the Role of the Village Head in Road Infrastructure Development in Pulau Sejuk Village and delineate the supporting and inhibiting factors of the Village Head's Role in Road Infrastructure Development. To address the research questions, the researcher employed Soekanto and Sulistyowati's (2017) theory, emphasizing planning, implementation, and monitoring. Data collection involved interviews, observations, documentation, and qualitative analysis following Sugiyono's (2010) methodology. The findings reveal that the village head's role in planning road infrastructure development has been well laid out, but its execution is pending. Direct or indirect supervision by the village head and village apparatus in road development has yet to materialize due to the absence of road repairs. The Village Head of Pulau Sejuk needs to pay closer attention to road development to ensure smooth infrastructure implementation

Abstract

Background : Mediastinal teratoma and other mediastinal tumors are very challenging to be distinguished from other mediastinal tumors. Mediastinal tumors can be optimally evaluated with computed tomography (CT). In this paper we present three young male patients with similar symptom of chronic chest pain and chronic cough. Materials and Methods: Conducting a literature review and medical records. Results : All patients in this case are young age male, below two decades. All chest CT shows giant mass, but they have different enhancing pattern, different amount of solid, cystic, calcification component. To make correct diagnosis of the mediastinal mass is important because of treatment planning difference, surgery or chemoteraphy. The first case shows benign teratoma with characteristic of heterogenous mass with large amount of fat, with presence of solid and calcification component. The second case shows malignant germ cell tumor with feature of heterogenous mass with predominantly solid component and small amount of fat. It also shows metastatic process in lung and bone. The third case shows Hodgkin lymphoma with slight enhanced mass that narrowed pulmonary artery and caused pericardial effusion. Conclusion: Various features of mediatinal tumors can be distinguished with CT modality.

Abstract

Background: Although the exact role remains unknown, Ki-67 is vital in cell division. Ki-67 is a nuclear nonhistone protein present in all active phases of the cell cycle. It has the potential to predict the prognosis of responsiveness to radiotherapy, chemotherapy, or endocrine therapy, estimate residual risk, and predict recurrence in many types of cancer, including nasopharyngeal cancer (NPC), breast cancer (BC), and cervical cancer (CX), and be a marker for treatment efficacy. We want to review the efficacy of Ki-67 as a predicting factor for three types of cancer, including NPC, breast, and cervical cancer, from several pieces of literature. Materials and Methods: We are conducting a literature review to describe the role of Ki-67 as a predicting factor in NPC, BC, and CX. Results: Pretreatment Ki-67 is used as an independent prognostic marker in NPC, and elevated values are associated with poor prognosis. High Ki-67 expression may indicate poorer recurrence-free survival and overall survival. A high Ki-67 index significantly correlated with adverse prognostic factors. Conclusion:  A high expression of Ki-67 in NPC, breast cancer, and cervical cancer is associated with poor prognosis, poorer recurrence, and overall survival rates. Ki-67 can be considered as a valuable biomarker of many cancers. Keywords: Radiotherapy, Ki-67, nasopharyngeal cancer, breast cancer, cervical cancer

Abstract

Citizen Journalism is a journalistic activity that is no longer foreign in today's digital era. Becoming a citizen who is able to write news by prioritizing journalistic code of ethics and compliance with the code of ethics itself is not an easy thing to do, especially if the citizen does not have a background in communication science or journalism education. However, in reality there is still a lot of news content displayed by the mass media that comes purely from citizen writings, without going through the editing process. This seems to be considered trivial by certain media owners because the media gatekeeper function does not work and does not cross-check the citizen's writings, resulting in a lot of hoax news or misleading information. Through a qualitative descriptive literature review approach, this study aims to compare citizen journalism activities in mass media in Indonesia and South Korea. The focus of this study lies in the practice of citizen journalism in Kompasiana and Ohmynews. The results of this study found that hoax news was still found in Kompasiana written by citizens. Kompasiana does not carry out its gatekeeper function properly. The writings that appear in Kompasiana are entirely the responsibility of the author himself. This means that Kompasiana is not responsible for the content that is published. This of course causes the credibility of the media to decline. This is very different from the online media Ohmynews, a media from South Korea. Overall, the content in Ohmynews comes purely from the writings of its citizens. However, it is not easy for the media to publish it. Citizens must pass several strict selections required by Ohmynews. One of them is that they must follow the Ethic Code and Citizen Reporter Agreement so that their writings are published in the media. So it can be ascertained that the impact is to reduce hoax news and increase the credibility of the media. Therefore, the indicator of the achievement of the success of a mass media that carries out its educational function can be observed through the compliance of professional journalists and citizen journalists who prioritize the principles of the journalistic code of ethics.
