Abstract

This study examines the urgency of a partnership between PT. Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk.'s Bogasari Flour Mills Division in DKI Jakarta and Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the culinary sector. This mutualistic symbiotic relationship is being pursued optimally through a well-planned communication strategy, incorporating appropriate communication planning and management. A qualitative case study approach is employed in this research. The results reveal that Bogasari is strategically planning its partnership with culinary MSMEs based on principles of mutually beneficial interdependence, flexibility, relationship quality, and information sharing. The partnership is implemented through the Core-Plasma partnership model, involving training, socialization, guidance, bazaars, and recognition awarded to MSMEs. The benefits derived from this collaboration include enhanced value, quality, innovation, improved access to capital, and increased trustworthiness. Challenges faced encompass a lack of innovation, motivation, and educational resources among MSME partners. Culinary MSMEs engage in a partnership with Bogasari to access guidance, development, creativity, competitiveness, productivity, and income growth. This research provides valuable insights into the significance of such mutually advantageous partnerships between large corporations and culinary MSMEs, contributing to sustainable economic growth.

Abstract

Employers' use of communication technology is practical, fast, efficient, and effective. Among the communication technology tools that can be used to support business activities are the Zoom application, Google Meet for webinars, and social media such as Instagram, which is used as a marketing medium. This study aims to determine the use of webinars and live Instagram as a medium of business communication in Tokocrypto marketing. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study approach. The study results show that, First, during the Covid-19 Pandemic, online media such as webinars and live Instagram were very effective as a medium for Tokocrypto's marketing communications. Using online media is one of the best ways to reach an audience. Applications used by Meeting, Youtube, and Instagram by Tokocrypto as a platform for buying and selling cryptocurrency assets. This is a convenience during a pandemic like today. Second, Tokocrypto utilizes webinars and live Instagram as a means of creativity in promoting, marketing, and educating cryptocurrencies on the Tokocrypto platform, with exciting material, competent sources, and dible guest stars so that Tokocrypto can create an ecosystem for users or Tokocrypto. Third, Tokocrypto was able to effectively and efficiently utilize webinars and live Instagram in publishing to audiences during the Covid-19 Pandemic.

Abstract

Berawal dari adanya potensi wisata yang dimiliki oleh kawasan Jatigede, namun masih memerlukan upaya promosi untuk menarik perhatian pengunjung. Oleh karena itu, penulis sebagai tim Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PPM) Universitas Padjadjaran, melakukan program PPM dengan mengangkat judul “Pembuatan Film Dokumenter tentang Spot Tourism Place di kawasan wisata Jatigede Sumedang”. Tujuan kegiatan PPM ini adalah agar peserta PPM memiliki pemahaman pentingnya upaya promosi melalui pembuatan film documenter tentang spot tourism place di kawasan Jatigede tersebut. Adapun metode pelaksanaan PPM yang dilakukan adalah metode observasi, metode focus group discussion (FGD), dan metode ceramah. Berdasarkan hasil FGD dengan perangkat desa, serta studi dokumentasi yang dilakukan oleh tim PKM, ditemukan bahwa bahwa jenis wisata alam, religi, kuliner, dan terjangkau baik dari aspek aksesibilitas dan biaya merupakan jenis wisata yang paling banyak diminati oleh masyarakat. Dengan mengacu pada kriteria tersebut dan juga input dari perangkat desa, terdapat dua destinasi wisata yaitu Masjid Al-Kamil di Desa Jemah dan produksi kolang-kaling di Desa Cisampih yang merepresentasikan profil wisata tersebut.Hasil kegiatan PPM ini menunjukkan bahwa pembuatan film dokumenter tentang spot tourism place di Kecamatan Jatigede berkontribusi terhadap pemetaan potensi-potensi wisata, khususnya di Desa Jemah dan Cisampih. Potensi yang telah teridentifikasi dapat dijadikan acuan untuk membuat masterplan pengembangan pariwisata berkelanjutan di kedua desa tersebut, serta dapat menjadi contoh best practice yang dapat diadopsi oleh desa lain. Selain itu, hasil PPM inipun diharapkan dapat membantu mengedukasi masyarakat untuk sadar wisata dan mampu mengelola pariwisata dengan baik, melalui pembuatan film dokumenter yang mampu menciptakan sense of pride pada masyarakat setempat yang diwakili oleh kalangan generasi muda terhadap potensi pariwisata desa, serta dapat menginsiprasi masyarakat untuk melakukan tindakan berkaitan dengan pengembangan sektor wisata desa, dengan turut menyebarluaskan konten melalui akun pribadi, atau dengan menghasilkan konten promosi lainnya.

Abstract

The development of the times and technology has changed the consumer communication landscape, involving social media such as Instagram as the primary medium of interaction between consumers and brands. DNVB Indonesia uses Instagram as a medium of interaction because it can reach consumers more widely. This research explores how DNVB Indonesia utilizes Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Customer Relationship Officer (CRO) to build consumer interactions and impressions through a dramaturgical theory approach. This study uses a qualitative methodology with an intrinsic case study approach. Data was collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. The research results show that the effectiveness of Instagram use by DNVB Indonesia is supported by a communication strategy that involves the 'mini' character and the active role of CRO in building personal and relevant relationships with consumers. CROs are essential in ensuring satisfying interactions by applying dramaturgical theory to create a positive impression. This theory divides social interactions into front and back stages, with the CRO acting as an actor who must maintain the company's image in front of consumers. These findings provide strategic insights for DNVBs in managing customer expectations and creating more robust and meaningful relationships through digital interactions.

Abstract

Berbagai penelitian terakhir memperlihatkan bahwa teknologi khususnya internet menciptakan dampak negatif yang begitu besar. Oleh karena itu, peneliti-peneliti komunikasi sepakat bahwa literasi media sangat dibutuhkan untuk mencegah dampak tersebut. Berbagai penelitian literasi media pun dilakukan dalam rangka menemukan model literasi yang tepat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui konsep literasi digital dan metode yang sering digunakan untuk mengukur literasi digital. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tinjauan sistematis (systematic review) dengan menggunakan analisis isi sebagai teknik analisis data. Ada beberapa kriteria yang digunakan dalam menyeleksi artikel. Diantaranya adalah artikel dipublikasikan di jurnal terakreditasi di Sinta 2,3, dan 4. Selain itu, penulis juga melakukan pembatasan kata kunci dalam pencarian artikel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa definisi konsep literasi digital sangat beragam. Bahkan istilah yang digunakan juga tidak seragam meskipun merujuk pada definisi yang sama. Metode penelitian yang paling banyak digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik wawancara, sehingga pemetaan keterampilan literasi digital pun tidak cukup menggambarkan keterampilan informan. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini merekomendasikan agar penelitian selanjutnya menggunakan metode performance-based research. Penelitian kedepannya juga diharapkan dapat mengelaborasi literasi digital dengan konsep-konsep lainnya.

Abstract

Since the public's adoption of ChatGPT in 2022, concerns have arisen about the possibility of AI will replace human roles across various industries, including radio broadcasting. While many radio professionals argue that AI will not diminish the importance of human involvement, some stations are already incorporating AI technologies. This study examines AI adoption in three news radio stations in Jakarta, focusing on its usage, guidelines, and future implementation plans. Utilizing a qualitative case study method, data were gathered through interviews with editors, observations, and literature review. The results show that initially, AI was not considered essential in news radio due to its simple production; however, its development is closely monitored. While AI improves efficiency, concerns about over-reliance on technology impacting human relationships persist. Radio managers must balance technological progress with human connections and uphold journalistic standards to maintain listener trust. Stations differ in their AI use—some utilize it for specific tasks, while others integrate it into operations and customize their content. There are no formal internal guidelines for AI in journalism, highlighting the importance of the guidelines from the Indonesian press council. AI serves in editorial processes, but the human role remains central in news judgment. The broadcaster-listener relationship remains vital; however, it is important to consider the shifting patterns of media consumption.

Abstract

Background: Sexist humour in the mass media has a significant impact on gender perceptions in society, especially for women who are often victims of real actions. Purpose: This research aims to understand the meaning of humour that contains sexist elements towards women using message content analysis. Methods: This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with content analysis from Krippendorf. The data collection process is carried out through observation techniques, with an emphasis on the analysis of the content of the material or materials, such as text, images, audio or video. The use of this technique is expected to provide comprehensive and in-depth data on sexist humor in the comedy program "Lapor Pak!". Results: It was found that sexist humour words and behaviours, such as objectification, use of sexualised double meanings, celebrating sexist humour, and the selection of sexy guest stars in the segment, have a derogatory meaning towards women. These findings suggest that there is a pattern of verbal behaviour that can reinforce gender stereotypes and create an environment that is detrimental to women. The normalisation of insulting jokes can affect society's perception and attitude towards women in general. Therefore, increasing the use of humour in the context of mass media needs to be considered to create a more positive and inclusive representation. Conclusion: The verbal behaviour pattern of sexist humour in the show "Lapor Pak!" can reinforce gender stereotypes and create an environment that is detrimental to women. Implications: This comedy program carries sexist messages that degrade women several times, which are packaged with funny behaviour so that the audience readily accepts them; this strengthens the normalisation and sensitivity of sexual harassment.

Abstract

This research investigates the strategic influence of artificial intelligence (AI) adoption on the competitiveness of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia, emphasizing the mediating role of innovation diffusion. By synthesizing the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), the Diffusion of Innovations (DOI) theory, and the Resource-Based View (RBV), the study analyzes how perceived usefulness and ease of use contribute to the attainment of sustained competitive advantage. Employing a quantitative methodology, the analysis was conducted using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) on data collected from 160 MSMEs. The measurement model demonstrated strong reliability and validity. The findings reveal that technology adoption exerts a significant effect on both innovation and competitiveness, with innovation serving as a partial mediator. The R² and Q² values reflect moderate explanatory and predictive capacity. This study provides both theoretical contributions and practical recommendations for fostering digital transformation in the MSME sector through AI-driven innovation.

Abstract

Communication between pilots and air traffic controllers (ATC) in the aviation sector is supported by a standardized language system known as phraseology, particularly through the use of fixed phrases established by the ICAO. This study focuses on analyzing the formulation of fixed phrase phraseology in ATC communication from an applied linguistics perspective. The research aims to contribute significantly to the understanding of technical language within the aviation context and to enhance professional communication practices in support of optimal flight safety. Using a qualitative approach through a case study conducted at AirNav Indonesia (JATSC), data were collected via interviews, direct observations, and literature reviews. The main findings reveal that fixed phrases play a crucial role in delivering instructions quickly, clearly, and unambiguously, especially in critical or emergency situations. The applied linguistic analysis indicates that sentence structures in phraseology are formulaic and imperative in nature, designed to minimize the risk of communication errors. Furthermore, continuous training for ATC personnel is identified as a key factor in ensuring the accurate and context-appropriate use of phraseology. Adjustments to fixed phrases may occur in exceptional situations, yet these modifications are made without compromising clarity of meaning. This study underscores the importance of phraseology as a form of technical communication that prioritizes safety within the global aviation system.  AbstrakKomunikasi antara pilot dan pengendali lalu lintas udara (ATC) dalam dunia penerbangan ditopang oleh sistem bahasa terstandar yang disebut fraseologi, khususnya melalui penggunaan frase tetap yang ditetapkan oleh ICAO. Penelitian ini bertujuan berfokus pada analisis formulasi fraseologi frase tetap dalam komunikasi ATC dari perspektif linguistik terapan. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi penting terhadap pemahaman bahasa teknis dalam konteks penerbangan dan meningkatkan praktik komunikasi profesional demi keselamatan penerbangan yang optimal. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif melalui studi kasus di AirNav Indonesia (JATSC), data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi langsung, serta kajian literatur. Temuan utama menunjukkan bahwa frase tetap memainkan peran penting dalam menyampaikan instruksi secara cepat, jelas, dan tanpa ambiguitas, terutama dalam kondisi kritis atau darurat. Analisis linguistik terapan memperlihatkan bahwa struktur kalimat dalam fraseologi bersifat formulaik dan imperatif, yang ditujukan untuk mengurangi risiko kesalahan komunikasi. Selain itu, pelatihan berkelanjutan bagi petugas ATC menjadi faktor penting untuk memastikan penggunaan fraseologi yang akurat dan kontekstual. Penyesuaian frase tetap dalam situasi luar biasa pun dilakukan tanpa mengorbankan kejelasan makna. Studi ini memperkuat pentingnya fraseologi sebagai bentuk komunikasi teknis yang mengedepankan keselamatan dalam sistem penerbangan global.
