Abstract

This paper examines various literature regarding the relationship between the provision of assistive technology (AT) and workplace integration for people with disabilities (PwD). A systematic review was conducted to map existing literature using the PRISMA framework in the last ten years. This study reveals that AT has an enormous significance in the employment of PwD. However, the provision of AT as workplace accommodations is not always uncomplicated as three aspects mainly impact it: employers’ perspective, accessibility of AT, and the availability of support from vocational and rehabilitation services. It is suggested that the provision of AT as workplace accommodations to increase disability employment should be supported collectively by society, with employers and the government as critical players. This study contributes to the perspectives of managers and the government by highlighting the roles they could carry out to create a more accessible provision of AT and an inclusive work environment.

Abstract

Social capital is an essential factor which supports the progression of entrepreneurship, and many recent studies have examined its positive relations to individual empowerment. Although many studies focus on social capital, research on online social capital in the context of vulnerable groups, such as women, still needs further examination. This paper aims to examine the role of online social capital in the development of female entrepreneurship by examining various constructs it may affect. Following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) framework, we conducted a systematic review to map existing literature from 2018 until 2023. The finding confirms that online social capital, bonding, bridging, or both, positively influence several constructs, such as social connections, emotional support, entrepreneurial perception and opportunity process, self-efficacy, and empowerment.

Abstract

The use of e-commerce applications in the agricultural sector has not been optimized due to farmers' low understanding of technology and a less user-friendly interface design. This research aims to design a prototype mobile-based e-commerce application interface that suits the needs of farmers. The Design Thinking method is used to understand user needs and develop intuitive solutions. The results showed a friendly interface design for farmers with low digital literacy, thus supporting the adoption of e-commerce applications in the agricultural sector. This research contributes to the increased utilization of technology in the distribution of farm produce and helps improve the welfare of farmers.

Abstract

Abstract

A dorm is more than simply a place for students to live, it's also a place for them to socialize and develop their personalities, which has a big impact on both academic and non-academic aspects. In order to guarantee the residents' comfort, managing the needs of the dorm is essential. Errors in data recording, a lack of transparency in borrowing data, and ineffective coordination and communication are issues that frequently occur in the manual process of borrowing facilities. This study proposes an innovative approach for digitalizing dormitory facilities management, bringing all resident demands together on a single centralized platform. This prototype helps by eliminating the need for direct contact, which is frequently less efficient, and offering capabilities that save all data in a single database. The goal of this project is to create a web-based prototype that meets the requirements of dorm occupants and aids in resolving problems and difficulties that arise. Design thinking (empathize, define, ideate, prototype, test) was the methodology employed in this study. It began with direct observation to identify difficulties, followed by the creation of a prototype and a questionnaire for measuring user satisfaction. According to the results of the questionnaire, 88.79% of users expressed satisfaction with the system, particularly with regard to its usability, navigability, and attractive interface. With this system, the efficacy and simplicity of managing dormitory demands and facilities has improved.
