Abstract

This article analyzes the need for Industry 4.0 HR competencies. The study was conducted at a number of tertiary institutions in Medan, where the sample was determined by purposive random sampling. The variables used in this study include; a) sense-making, b) social intelligent, c) novel and adaptive thinking, d) cross-cultural competency, e) computational thinking, f) new-media literacy, g) transdisciplinarity, h) design thinking, i) cognitive load management, j) virtual collaboration. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using the Confirmatory Factor Analysis approach. The output of this research is expected to provide input and strategies for universities in strengthening the quality of the fresh graduated HR output produced. The results of this study indicate that based on the results of Confirmatory Factor Analysis, the 10 variables used have a positive relationship between variables and can be an estimator to see how fresh graduated human resources are ready to face industry 4.0.DOI: 10.24071/ijiet.2020.040107

Abstract

Medan City is currently designated as one of the 20 national tourism destinations that implement Sustainable Tourism Development (STD) in Indonesia. The commitment to implement STD nationally is marked by the signing of the text of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) of 20 Regional Heads who are committed to implementing STD together with the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism. Furthermore, under the supervision of the Republic of Indonesia Ministry of Tourism, 20 existing Regencies / Cities made various improvements in each region so that they were finally eligible for STD certification from the STD international certification body. Medan City itself, through the Medan City Tourism Office, related to the implementation of the STD, has established a number of leading tourism destinations. It is hoped that in the future, Medan City will have tourist destinations that have received STD certification. This research was conducted to formulate a model of implementing sustainable tourism development in Medan with a total sample of 220 people spread over 11 leading tourist destinations in the city of Medan, samples were taken with a purposive random sampling technique. The research variables used include; sustainable management, socio-cultural benefits, economic benefits for the surrounding community, environmental benefits and the application of sustainable tourism. Data analysis was carried out with a structural model of the Structural Equation Model (SEM) with the help of Amos 22 software. The results showed that the management aspects, economic aspects, socio-cultural aspects of environmental aspects, and the impact of tourism, directly and indirectly, have a positive effect on the implementation of sustainable tourism in the city of Medan.

Abstract

Banyak penduduk Desa Lama di Kecamatan Hamparan Perak Kabupaten Deli Serdang hidup dalam kemiskinan. Tingkat pendidikan yang rendah menyebabkan tingginya angka pengangguran. Selain itu, mereka tidak punya akses ke perbankan dan lembaga keuangan sehingga tidak dapat meminjam modal untuk berwirausaha.  Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan meningkatkan pendapatan masyarakat desa Lama Kecamatan Hamparan perak dengan membuka usaha burger. Usaha ini diharapkan dapat menekan tingkat pengangguran dan membuka lapangan kerja. Terlebih lagi, di daerah tersebut belum ada yang membuka usaha ini.  Kegiatan dilakukan dengan metode pelatihan, diskusi dan tanya jawab, serta praktik.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apa pengaruh motivasi kerja dan lingkungan kerja terhadap kinerja pegawai UPT Pengawasan Ketenagakerjaan Wilayah I Dinas Ketenakerjaan Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Jenis penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh pegawai UPT Pengawasan Ketenagakerjaan Wilayah I Dinas Ketenakerjaan Provinsi Sumatera Utara sebanyak 35 orang pegawai. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah yaitu sampel jenuh, maka sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu seluruh pegawai UPT Pengawasan Ketenagakerjaan Wilayah I Dinas Ketenakerjaan Provinsi Sumatera Utara yang berjumlah 35 orang pegawai. Metode analisa yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah uji validitas, uji realibilitas, uji normalitas, uji Multikolinearitas, uji autokorelasi, uji Heteroskedastisitas, uji regresi linear berganda, uji koefisien korelasi, uji determinasi dan uji signifikan (uji t dan uji f). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motivasi dan lingkungan kerja memiliki pengaruh baik secara parsial maupun simultan, sedangakan dari hasil korelasi maka motivasi dan lingkungan kerja memiliki hubungan yang Sangat Kuat terhadap Kinerja.

Abstract

Desa Liberia terletak di Kecamatan Teluk Mengkudu Kabupaten Serdang Bedagai, daerah Pantai Timur Sumatera. Banyaknya tingkat pengangguran di Desa Liberia disebabkan rendahnya tingkat pendidikan masyarakat sehingga menyebabkan kurangnya pengetahuan dan skill untuk berwirausaha serta tidak memiliki akses ke pemerintahan dan lembaga keuangan lainnya. Masyarakat Desa khususnya ibu-ibu rumah tangga membutuhkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan untuk wirausaha. Untuk mengatasi masalah pengangguran di Desa Liberia, Tim Pengabdian Politeknik Negeri Medan mengadakan pelatihan budidaya ikan patin kepada ibu-ibu rumah tangga Desa Liberia Kec. Teluk Mengkudu Kab. Serdang Bedagai. Selain itu tim juga memberikan bantuan sebidang kolam ikan beserta 1600 ekor bibit ikan patin untuk digunakan berwirausaha bagi kelompok bersama ibu-ibu rumah tangga Desa Liberia.

Abstract

Medan City, as one of the centers of economic and population growth which is experiencing significant disruption in population and urban activities, along with the increasing population in Medan City, one of the problems often faced by users of transportation facilities is traffic jams. Motorbike taxis are the community's choice of solution to minimize traffic jams and save time. One of them is the online motorcycle taxi provider company, namely Grab. The large number of companies offering a variety of similar products at lower prices creates tough competition to increase sales. Therefore, improving product quality is something that must be done in order to increase customer satisfaction. This research aims to determine and analyze the influence of price and service quality on customer satisfaction with Grab's online transportation services. This research method is quantitative with a descriptive research type which includes validity testing, reliability testing, classical assumption testing, hypothesis testing (t test, f test, and coefficient of determination R2). The data analysis technique used in this research is multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS version 25 with a total of 100 respondents obtained from the lameshow formula. The data collection technique in this research is distributing questionnaires and literature study. Based on the research results, price (X1) and service quality (X2) simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction (Y). The research results show that the price variable has an influence on the Grab customer satisfaction variable in the city of Medan with a tcount value of 5.303 > ttable 1.985 and the Service Quality variable also influences Grab customer satisfaction with a tcount value of 4.520 > ttable 1.985 with a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05. The price and service quality variables influence the Grab customer satisfaction variable in the city of Medan simultaneously with an F Calculated Test value of 85.337 with a significance level of 0.000. The results of the research coefficient of determination (R2) show that price and service quality are able to explain an influence of 63.0%. on customer satisfaction variables. Meanwhile, the remaining 37.0% is influenced by variables not examined in this research.

Abstract

In the current era of globalization, the business world is experiencing rapid growth, particularly in the culinary industry. This business is directly related to the basic human need for food, as it is one of the fundamental necessities for survival. The influence of product quality and price on customer satisfaction at Mie Gacoan Dr. Mansyur Medan has become an interesting topic for research, given the importance of these two factors in maintaining and enhancing customer satisfaction. This study aims to determine the extent to which product quality and price affect customer satisfaction at Mie Gacoan in Medan, with a focus on students of the Business Administration Department at Politeknik Negeri Medan as the research subjects. This study employs a quantitative research method with a descriptive approach, including tests for validity, reliability, classical assumptions, hypothesis testing (t-test, F-test, and analysis of the coefficient of determination (adjusted R square)). Data analysis techniques were performed using multiple linear regression analysis with SPSS version 26, involving 100 respondents. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires and literature studies. The results of the study show that product quality (X1) and price (X2) have a positive and significant influence on customer satisfaction (Y), both partially and simultaneously. The results of the multiple linear regression analysis reveal that the price variable has a greater or more dominant influence on customer satisfaction, with a regression value of 76.9% compared to the product quality variable, which obtained a value of 16.9%. Additionally, the results of the coefficient of determination test (adjusted R square) indicate that the variables of product quality and price can explain 81.3% of the influence on customer satisfaction, while the remaining 18.7% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study, such as service quality, ambiance, promotion, and other variables.

Abstract

Understanding the impact of customer value and brand experience on repurchase intention, while optimizing service quality, is essential for ensuring sustainable business performance. This study examines the mediating role of service quality in the influence of customer value and brand experience on repurchase intention at PTNJM Bali Head Office. The research aims to determine the direct and indirect effects of customer value and brand experience on repurchase intention, considering service quality as a potential mediator. This study employs an explanatory research design with a quantitative approach. Data were collected from 100 respondents using questionnaires, observations, and interviews. A non-probability sampling method with purposive sampling was applied to ensure relevant participants. The collected data were analysed using SPSS Version 29 and Smart PLS Version 3 to assess the relationships among variables and the mediation effects of service quality. The analysis revealed that customer value does not have a positive and significant effect on repurchase intention, while brand experience positively and significantly influences repurchase intention. Additionally, service quality has a direct positive and significant impact on repurchase intention. However, the findings indicate that service quality does not mediate the relationship between customer value and repurchase intention, nor does it mediate the relationship between brand experience and repurchase intention. These findings suggest that while brand experience and service quality are critical factors in encouraging repurchase behaviour, customer value alone does not directly contribute to repeat purchases. Furthermore, service quality does not serve as an effective mediator in strengthening the impact of customer value and brand experience on repurchase intention. These insights provide valuable implications for businesses, highlighting the importance of enhancing brand experience and service quality to foster customer loyalty and long-term retention.
