Abstract

The purpose of this study was to express spiritual values in mathematic learning of Relations. This study was a qualitative research with a case study method with a grounded theory approach. The research subjects were mathematics teachers and 2ndstudents of MTs 1 Banyumas who were selected using purposive sampling technique. Methods of data collection through in-depth interviews, observation, and document studies. Data were analysed with inductive method and discribed with narative. The results showed that the spiritual values in relation material can be extracted from the ontological concept of relations. Spiritual values in Relationships philosophically contribute to the development of the structure of human life

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menyelidiki pengaruh pembelajaran segiempat dan segitiga dengan pendekatan discovery yang menekankan aspek analogi terhadap prestasi belajar, kemampuan penalaran, dan kecerdasan emosional spiritual siswa SMP Negeri 9 Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu.Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes prestasi belajar, tes kemampuan penalaran, dan angket kecerdasan emosional spiritual. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji Multivariate Analysis of Variance (Manova) dan Analysis of Variance (Anova). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada pengaruh pembelajaran segiempat dan segitiga dengan pendekatan discovery yang menekankan aspek analogi terhadap prestasi belajar, dan kemampuan penalaran siswa. Berdasarkan analisis, pembelajaran segiempat dan segitiga dengan pendekatan discovery yang menekankan aspek analogi lebih unggul daripada pembelajaran biasa dalam hal prestasi belajar dan kemampuan penalaran. Sebaliknya, dalam hal kecerdasan emosional spiritual siswa, pendekatan discovery yang menekankan aspek analogi tidak memberi pengaruh dan tidak lebih unggul daripada pembelajaran biasa.Kata Kunci: discovery, menekankan aspek analogi, prestasi belajar, kemampuan penalaran, kecerdasan emosional spiritual The Effect of Discovery Approach Emphasing on the Analogy Aspect on Achievement, Reasoning Ability, Emotional Spiritual IntelligenceAbstractThis study aims to investigate the effect of quadrilateral and triangle teaching using the disco-very approach emphasing on the analogy aspect on achievement, reasoning ability, and emotional spiritual intelligenceof Grade VII students of SMPN 9 Yogyakarta. This study was a quasi-experimen-tal study. The instruments of the study were an achievement test, reasoning ability test, and emotional spiritual intelligence questionnaire. The data wereanalyzed using the Multivariate Analysis of Variance (Manova) and Analysis of Variance(Anova) tests. The results of the study are as follows. There is aneffect of quadrilateral and triangle teaching using the discovery approach emphasing on the analogy aspect on students’ achievement and reasoning ability.There is noeffect of the students’spiritual emotional intelligence on the discovery approach emphasing on the analogy aspect. Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi, faktor pendukung dan penghambat penerapan pendidikan karakter dalam pembelajaran matematika SMP di Kota Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian evaluasi model discrepancy model dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Penelitian melibatkan sampel sebanyak 22 SMP untuk pengumpulan data kuantitatif dan 6 SMP untuk pengumpulan data kualitatif. Hasil evaluasi dapat disimpulkan bahwa implementasi pendidikan karakter dalam pembelajaran matematika SMP di Kota Yogyakarta termasuk dalam kategori cukup. Adapun faktor pendukung adalah (1) visi dan misi sekolah; (2) adanya peraturan dan tata tertib yang telah diatur sekolah, (3) dukungan dan kerjasama yang baik antar warga sekolah; (4) kondisi siswa yang memiliki dasar karakter baik; (5) contoh perilaku positif guru sebagai teladan. Sedangkan faktor penghambat adalah (1) guru belum memiliki pemahaman yang memadai tentang konsep pendidikan karakter dalam pembelajaran matematika; (2) guru mengalami kesulitan dalam mengidentifikasi nilai karakter dari kompetensi dasar pada mata pelajaran matematika; (3) guru belum dapat mengimplementasikan pendidikan karakter yang terintegrasi dalam pembelajaran matematika dengan baik; (4) sarana dan prasarana yang belum lengkap; (5) dokumentasi penilaian sikap siswa masih lemah. Character Education Implementation in Mathematics Teaching and Learning of Junior High School in Yogyakarta AbstractThe aim of this research was to describe the implementation, supporting factors and obstacles the implementation of character education in mathematics teaching and learning of junior high school in Yogyakarta. This research is an evaluation research discrepancy model with the quantitative and qualitative approach. The study involved 22 samples of SMP for quantitative data collection and 6 SMP for qualitative data collection. The results from this study revealed that character education implementation in mathematics teaching and learning of junior high schools in Yogyakarta was good. Supporting factors were: (1) the vision and mission of the school; (2) ground rules that have been designed by the schools; (3) support and cooperation among school members; (4) student’s condition who have a basic good character; and (5) examples of positive behavior of teachers as role models. Obstacles were: (1) teachers do not have enough understanding of character education especially in the implementation in mathematics teaching and learning processes; (2) teachers have difficulties to identify the character values from the basic competence of mathematics; (3) teachers have not been able to implement character education integrated to mathematics teaching and learning processes properly; (4) poor teaching and learning facilities in some schools; and (5) poor documentation of students’ character assessment.

Abstract

Pada Konaspi VIII di Jakarta, 13 Oktober 2016, terdapat pokok-pokok pemikiran penting perihal revitalisasi pendidikan di Indonesia dewasa ini terkait dengan kondisi LPTK dan masa depan guru. Kementerian PPN melalui Deputi Menteri PPN/Kepala Bappenas Bidang Pembangunan Manusia, Masyarakat, dan Kebudayaan BAPPENAS (Subandi Sardjoko, 2016) menguraikan bahwa penguatan lembaga pendidikan tinggi keguruan melalui revitalisasi LPTK dilakukan agar dapat mengembangkan program akademik, untuk dapat melahirkan guru-guru yang berkualitas. UU No. 14/2005 tentang Guru dan Dosen, dalam Bab Ketentuan Penutup Pasal 82 mengatur bahwa Guru yang belum memiliki kualifikasi akademik dan sertifikat pendidik wajib memenuhi kualifikasi akademik dan sertifikat pendidik paling lambat pada tahun 2015. Pesan pokok UU Guru dan Dosen adalah untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan melalui peningkatan kualitas guru. Sementara, ditataran makro atau dunia, Jika kita menuju hilirnya Filsafat, kita akan menemukan Pendidikan Berbasis Rasio atau Berbasis Kognitif, dengan sifat-sifat ikutan yang dapat diturunkan sebagai atau berbentuk Cognitive-Based Education, Anti-Spiritualisme, Dunia Parsial dan Hedonisme. Dalam era Kontemporer (AFTA), terdapat main-set yang cukup kuat dan signifikan bahwa semua pengambil kebijakan Pendidikan di Indonesia akan mengimplementasikan Pendidikan Berbasis Pasar, yang dengan sendirinya akan mencari hakekat kebenaran ada di dalam Pasar. Dengan metode yang sama seperti sudah dilakukan di atas, dapat disimpulkan bahwa Pendidikan Berbasis Pasar dengan sendirinya bersifat Anti-Spiritualisme, dengan sifat-sifat ikutan yang dapat diturunkan sebagai Reduksionisme, Eksploitasi Vital, Kompetisi Mutlak, Egosentrik, Hegemoni, Dunia Terpotong, Materialisme, Pragmatisme, Hedonisme, dan Pendidikan Laskar. Pendidikan Konseratif Mutlak mempunyai sifat Reduksionisme, Eksploitasi Vital, Monokulturisme, Egosentrik, dan Ethical Closed-ended Mutlak (Nilai Budaya Tertutup Mutlak).

Abstract

The development of an increasingly advanced technology is one of the causes for cultural values to fade and be marginalized. Therefore, exploration of culture is needed to support the sustainability of mathematics learning. this study aims to explore the mathematical concepts found in Riau Malay specialties and their application in mathematics learning. this research is a qualitative study using an ethnographic approach. The instrument used are human instrument. The researcher communicates directly with the object of research and participate actively in data collection, either by means of literature study, interview, observation, and documentation. The data analysis technique was carried out by means of data reduction, presentation, analysis, and data exposure. The results of this study are in the form of mathematical concepts found in Riau Malay specialties, namely: point, line, bowstring, triangle, rectangle, regular, octagon, circle, rectangular pyramid, beam, and congruence. Mathematical concepts found in Riau Malay specialties can be used to introduce and understand mathematical concepts in learning through local wisdom.

Abstract

Guru pemula dan guru profesional mempunyai gaya mengajar yang beragam dalam melakukan pembelajaran dikelas. Tidak ada seorang guru yang seketika terlahir menjadi guru yang profesional. Untuk menjadi seorang guru profesional  membutuhkan banyak pengetahuan, pengalaman dan keterampilan. Hal inilah yang menjadikan perbedaan gaya mengajar antara guru pemula dan guru profesional. Sehubungan dengan hal tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis gaya mengajar guru pemula dan guru profesional dalam pembelajaran matematika. Gaya mengajar sendiri dibedakan menjadi 6 gaya mengajar, yaitu exposition, discussion, practice, practicalwork, investigation, dan inclusion. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif menggunakan metode grounded theory melalui observasi pembelajaran dan wawancara. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh guru matematika di Kabupaten Klaten. Sampel penelitian adalah 5 orang guru matematika pemula dan 8 guru matematika profesional di Kabupaten Klaten yang dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru pemula menggunakan 5 gaya mengajar, sedangkan guru professional menggunakan 6 gaya mengajar dalam pembelajaran matematika. Guru pemula mempunyai kelemahan dalam perencanaan pembelajaran jangka panjang. Hal ini membuat guru pemula tidak menggunakan gaya mengajar investigation dalam pembelajarannya. Dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa pengalaman mengajar membuat guru pemula dan guru professional menggunakan gaya mengajar yang berbeda.

Abstract

The purposes of this research are to describe and compare the effectiveness of the imple mentation of scientific approach using problem based learning and learning cycle 5E model viewed from achievement spiritual attitudes, social attitudes, knowledge, and skills of students on polyhedral topic in Junior High School Grade VIII. This research is quasi experiment using nonequivalent (pre-test and post-test) group design. Population in this research are all of students grade VIII Junior High School 12 Padang. The sample was grade VIII4 and VIII5. The instruments used are questionnaires spiritual attitude and social attitude, knowledge and skill test. The results of the research are as follows the implementation of scientific approach with problem based learning and learning cycle 5E model is effective viewed from the achievement spiritual attitudes, social attitudes and knowledge of students, but not effective viewed from students skill, and there are no differences between the effectiveness of the implementation of scientific approach using problem based learning and learning cycle 5E model.

Abstract

Abstrak: Pembelajaran matematika di SD perlu memperkenalkan ketajaman rasa peduli terhadap lingkungan. Sekaligus pembelajaran di madrasah perlu mengenalkan nilai-nilai Islam untuk siswa MI bahwa merawat lingkungan merupakan amal yang saleh. Dengan alasan ini, maka dirancang Lembar Kerja pembelajaran matematika untuk kelas 1 SD/MI berbasis Islamic Environmental Ethics (IEE). Islamic Environmental Ethics memuat kaidah, bagaimana sebaiknya umat Islam memperlakukan tanaman, hewan, air, udara dan  bumi. Penelitian pengembangan ini baru menempuh tahap Define dan Design,  belum sampai ke tahap Develop dan Disseminate. Lembar Kerja yang dirancang memuat komponen-komponen berikut: Kompetensi Dasar, Indikator, Ayat Alqur’an, Hadits, Gambar-gambar, Aktifitas-aktifitas, kolom SAFETY dan Motivasi. Aktifitas yang dilakukan dalam Lembar kerja, menggunakan media di lingkungan peserta didik yaitu tanaman, bebatuan maupun biji-bijian.DESIGNING ELEMENTARY STUDENT MATH WORKSHEET BASED ON ISLAMIC ENVIRONMENTAL ETHICS Abstract: Mathematics learning in elementary school needs to introduce a sharp sense of care for the environment. As well as learning in madrasas, it is necessary to introduce Islamic values to MI students that caring for the environment is a pious charity. For this reason, a mathematics learning worksheet for grade 1 SD / MI based on Islamic Environmental Ethics (IEE) was designed. Islamic Environmental Ethics contains rules, how should Muslims treat plants, animals, water, air and earth. This development research has only gone through the Define and Design stages, not yet at the Develop and Disseminate stages. The worksheets are designed to contain the following components: Basic Competencies, Indicators, Alquran verses, Hadith, Pictures, Activities, SAFETY columns and Motivation. Activities carried out in the worksheet, using media in the environment of students, namely plants, rocks and seeds.

Abstract

Important changes in mathematics teaching need to be made to accommodate the constantly changing students’ demography in the lower grades of Elementary Schools, particularly in mathematics competence. Teachers must contextualize mathematics learning by linking mathematics content to the culture and real-life experiences of low-grade students at the Elementary School level. Mathematical concepts taught in elementary schools shall be relevant with students' personal experiences in everyday life. Throughout history, mathematics has been widely used by different groups in a variety of ways. Arithmetic and geometry are used to meet the daily needs of society, both culturally and socially. Ethnomathematics is defined as the way people from different cultures use mathematics in their daily lives. Elementary school students are only required to learn the concept of simple two-dimensional figure in their mathematics learning. Some complexities in this topic are related to the way to deal with irregular shape of two-dimensional figures or the different length of the sides, which can actually be solved through the removal or addition of the different parts of the shape to resemble the main shape.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the pedagogical content knowledge (PCK) of mathematics student-teachers of Yogyakarta State University (YSU). The population is mathematics student-teachers of YSU in their seventh semester of the academic year 2017/2018 who undertook ethnomathematics. A sample of 31 students was established using the cluster random sampling technique. The research instrument is in the form of ethnomathematics lesson plans developed by the students. The result of the study shows that the students’ PCK in developing ethnomathematics lesson plans is generally at the level of growing PCK. Viewed from the material and pedagogical aspects, the students’ PCK falls at the level of growing PCK. The students’ PCK in developing the lesson plans of ethnomathematics of Prambanan Temple is at the level of growing PCK. The students’ PCK in developing the lesson plans of ethnomathematics of Yogyakarta Palace is at the level of pre-PCK. The students’ PCK in developing the lesson plans of ethnomathematics of Borobudur Temple is at the level of growing PCK.
