Abstract

This study aimed to describe the preservation of Balinese spoken language in the Ngaben and Potong Gigi events in Nusa Raya Village, Belitang III District, East OKU Regency. The method used in this research was a descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques in this study used observation and recording techniques. The results showed that the preservation of Balinese spoken language at the Ngaben event consisting of (1) the family domain, (2) the work background domain, (3) the religion domain, (4) the customs domain, while the retention of Balinese spoken language at the Potong Gigi event consisted of (1) Sangkep activity / Traditional meeting, (2) the core activities of Metatah/Potong Gigi remained very well. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the preservation of Balinese spoken language in the Ngaben and Potong Gigi event in Nusa Raya Village, Belitang III District still survives well.

Abstract

Dongeng merupakan salah satu jenis sastra anak. Dongeng memiliki berbagai fungsi, antara lain sebagai hiburan untuk anak, sebagai sarana untuk mewariskan nilai-nilai yang diyakini kebenarannya oleh masyarakat, sebagai salah satu cara menanamkan budi pekerti pada anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran dongeng dalam menjaga perilaku sehat ibu dan anak di masa pandemi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskripsi. Sumber data penelitian berupa dongeng yang bisa digunakan dalam perilaku sehat. Dongeng dapat mengeratkan hubungan Ibu dan anak dalam membangun perilaku sehat. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dan pembahasannya, dongeng dapat menjaga perilaku sehat Ibu dan anak: (1) mengembangkan imajinasi anak; (2) mampu merangsang anak-anak dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berbahasa mereka; (3) Membangkitkan minat baca anak dengan mendongeng; (4) Membangun kecerdasan emosional anak dengan memberikan contoh melalui tokoh dalam cerita yang kita dongengkan; (5) Membentuk Rasa Empati Anak; (6) Menambah wawasan dan nilai moral bertambah; (7) melatih daya ingat; (8) Mempererat hubungan Anda dan anak; (9) Membantu mengembangkan keterampilan mendengarkan anak; dan (10) Membantu anak memiliki pola tidur yang sehat. Abstract

Cerpen or short stories are literary works in the form of prose. Short stories are works of high level imagination. The formulation of the problem in this service is "How is the training to write short stories with local wisdom for students of SMAN 2 Prabumulih?" This activity is expected to benefit students, teachers, schools, and researchers. For students, this service is expected to foster enthusiasm and motivation for student learning, increase student interest in writing skills and develop students' ideas to think creatively in writing short stories with local wisdom. For teachers, it can add insight in learning to write, especially writing short stories. The methods used in this service are lectures, questions and answers, and the practice of making short stories with local wisdom. The results obtained in this community service are that students are interested in writing short stories. short story building elements.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeksripsikan gaya bahasa sindirian yang dipakai oleh paraapemain dalam Acara Lapor Pak di Stasiun Televisi Trans7. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskripsif.  Sumber dalam penelitian ini berupa kalimat yang dituturkan oleh pelawak dalam acara lapor pak, yang berisi gaya sindiran serta mengandunggmakna untuk menyindir para tokoh politik dan pejabat-pejabat di Indonesia. Teknik yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalahh teknik analsis isi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat bahasa sindiran yang diucapkan oleh para pemain ketika sedang mempertunjukkan lawakkannya di depan televisi. Data yang didapat dalam penelitian ini sebanyak sebelas, yang terdiri dari empat (4) bentuk gaya bahasaasindiran ironi, lima (5) bentuk bahasa sindiran sinisme dan dua (2) bentuk bahasa gaya bahasa sindiransarkasme. Bahasa sindiran yang disampikan juga diselingi dengan kalimat-kalimat humor agar tidak menimbukan kesalahpahaman dan untuk menghindari konflik.Kata Kunci: Gaya Bahasa, Sindiran, Acara Lapor Pak

Abstract

Education is needed by humans to develop. Humans who are qualified and able to compete can be created through good education. The education system is a strategy or method used in the teaching and learning process to achieve the goal so that students can actively develop their potential. The education system in Indonesia must be able to achieve the goal of national education, to educating the nation's children. A good education system can help achieve this goal. Every child is different, therefore the way of teaching is different. Various types of education and educational pillars are expected to help children achieve their educational goals. The purpose of writing this paper is to describe what types of education exist in Indonesia, and what are the pillars of UNESCO education. To achieve this goal, a literature study was carried out by reading various sources in the form of books and scientific articles. Based on the results of a literature study, the first results were obtained: the five types of education that can be chosen in Indonesia are general education, vocational education, special education, official education, and religious education. The five types can be selected based on the characteristics of the child which are certainly different. Second result: the pillars of education initiated by UNESCO are: (1) Learning to know, (2) Learning to do, (3) Learning to be or, and (4) Learning to live together. These four pillars are expected to be implemented in the Indonesian education system to achieve educational goals. Keywords: type, pillar, education

Abstract

Penelitian ini difokuskan pada kajian penelitian nilai-nilai pendidikan dalam sastra lisan pisaan masyarakat Komering di Kabupaten OKU Timur. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Objek/informan mengenai penelitian ini adalah ditujukan kepada orang yang benar-benar memahami sastra lisan pisaan pada masyarakat Kabupaten OKU Timur sebagai sumber data, yaitu Bapak H. Leo Budi Rachmadi, SE bin H. Syahrin Nasir Adok Batin Temunggung dari Martapura dan Hamidin Mangkudermawan dari Sabalio,Bunga Mayang OKU Timur. Teknik pengumpulan data penelitian: (1) observasi; (2) wawancara; (3) dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data: (1) mempersiapkan data; (2) membaca keseluruhan data; (3) menganalisis data. Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa: (1) Pisaan dalam sastra lisan masyarakat Komering di Kabupaten OKU Timur, memiliki nilai-nilai pendidikan yang berupa memberikan pemahaman akan kehidupan bagi masyarakat Kabupaten OKU Timur dari generasi ke generasi.

Abstract

Kesantunan berbahasa pada hakikatnya adalah etika kita dalam bersosialisasi di masyarakat. Kaidah kesantunan umumnya dipakai dalam setiap tindak berbahasa. Secara teoretis, pada dasarnya semua orang harus berbicara secara santun. Setiap orang wajib menjaga etika dalam berkomunikasi agar tujuan berkomunikasi dapat tercapai. Berkaitan dengan bahasan latar belakang kesantunan berbahasa maka perlu menganalisis novel Seputih Hati yang Tercabik. Pengisahan tokoh dan penokohan di dalam novel ini lebih kompleks serta dialog-dialognya lebih sering terjadi sehingga maksim-maksim dalam prinsip kesantunan lebih mungkin untuk muncul. Prinsip-prinsip kesantunan dalam bertutur yaitu: (1) maksim kearifan, (2) maksim kedermawanan, (3) maksim pujian, (4) maksim kerendahan hati, (5) maksim kesepakatan, dan (6) maksim kesimpatian. Penelitian ini merupakan studi pustaka dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Data primer adalah novel Seputih Hati yang Tercabik karya Ratu Wardarita. Data primer di ini dianalisis dengan menggunakan data sekunder sebagai data dukung untuk menganalisis novel Seputih Hati yang Tercabik sesuai ranah penelitian penggunaan kesantunan berbahasa yang diisyaratkan melalui referensi pendukung penelitian ini.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to find out the difference between instructional approaches and verbal reasoning on students’ scientific writing ability. It was conducted at  Indonesian Language  Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of PGRI Palembang. This research employed the experimental method using 2x2 factorial Anova test, with 43 students chosen randomly through multi-stage sampling technique. The results of this research indicate that: (1) the group of students taught with the contextual teaching and learning (CTL) approach has better than taught with the conventional one; (2) the group of high-level verbal reasoning students taught with CTL approach has better than taught with the conventional one; (3) the group of low-level verbal reasoning students taught with the CTL approach has lower than taught with the conventional one; (4) there is an interaction effect between instructional approach and the level of verbal reasoning on students’ scientific writing ability.

Abstract

This study was conducted as the follow-up action toward the result of a preliminary study which showed that Indonesian Language teachers in Senior High School (mentioned as “SMA”) YPI Tunas Bangsa Palembang had not yet implemented any standardized, objective, accurate nor appropriate assessment instruments as demanded by the 2013 curriculum. Based on this problem, the research question in this study was “How are teachers’ necessities of an authentic assessment instrument to assess understanding on the short stories production and appreciation in SMA YPI Tunas Bangsa Palembang?”. This study employed the research and development method adapted from the one proposed by Akker which consisted of several steps: (1) analysis, (2) design, (3) evaluation, and the one by Tessmer: (1) self-evaluation, (2) expert judgment, (3) one-to-one, (4) small group, (5) revision, and (6) field test. The implementation of the authentic assessment for short stories production and appreciation was analyzed by using the inter-rater agreement. The inter-rater reliability was measured using the Cronbach’s Alfa. The data were also analyzed using the SPSS 16 program which resulted to a level of significance at 0.5. Therefore, it is found that the evaluation given by the experts and the respondents reached a similar perception. Based on the result of the Cronbach’s Alpha test, a value of 0.99 was obtained above 0.70 which implies that the authentic assessment instruments developed in this study are highly reliable.

Abstract

The choice of words and forms of advertisements on billboards or name boards is intended to be  able to attract people's attention. Billboards or signboard makers make it creatively. However, the use of the advertisement language tends to make mistakes. This study aims to describe the errors in Indonesian on billboards and name boards on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman Palembang. Qualitative descriptive research method with data sources in the form of 27 shop signboards and 3 billboards. The data analysis technique used the intralingual matching method. The results of the study concluded: 1) language writing errors on shop signboards are categorized into logical syntax of sentences, writing of abbreviations, use of punctuation marks, writing foreign languages, conjunctions, writing numeric units, composition of phrases, and foreign language structure (MD) and 2) language writing errors on billboards are categorized as using foreign languages and writing websites. Such mistakes are in writing the words Jl. ”,“No”,“Fa.”, “PT.”, And “PD.”, Which should be written as“ Jln ”, “No.”, “Fa”, “PT” , and "PD".
