Abstract

The current presence of the internet undeniably facilitates and accelerates individuals' ability to access and disseminate information, even leading to an information explosion. To manage this situation, digital competence is required to face the 6.0 era. The world's shift toward complete digitalization pushes humans to quickly adapt to digital infrastructure and digital services. To address this, humans need skills referred to as digital literacy. This research emphasizes the measurement of primary data, specifically objective digital literacy levels, using numerical data and statistical analysis. The study aims to determine the digital literacy level of Mandarin language students using the "æ•°å­—ç´ å…»" (Digital Literacy) instrument. The results of this study indicate that the digital literacy level of Mandarin students is at a fairly good level, with an overall average score of 3.25. The Digital Literacy Index across all dimensions falls into the advanced category (81.25%). Among the eight dimensions, two are categorized as "good," namely the Collaboration Dimension (3.45) and Social-Cultural Understanding (3.41). The other six dimensions fall into the "fairly good" category, with scores ranging from 3.11 to 3.40, including Functional Skills (3.40), Creativity (3.22), Communication (3.19), Information Searching and Selection Ability (3.11), Critical Thinking (3.15), and Digital Safety (3.14).

Abstract

Sastra klasik Tiongkok merupakan warisan budaya yang sarat nilai filosofis, di mana alam tidak hanya menjadi latar, tetapi juga simbol bermakna. Dalam konteks tersebut, ekokritik hadir sebagai pendekatan untuk memahami bagaimana karya sastra merefleksikan interaksi manusia dengan lingkungannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji representasi alam dalam puisi Dinasti Song melalui perspektif ekokritik. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan sumber data antologi 宋词三百首 (Sòng Cí Sān Bǎi Shǒu), dianalisis menggunakan pendekatan ekokritik Cheryll Glotfelty (1996). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa unsur-unsur alam seperti bunga, kupu-kupu, burung walet, gunung, awan, dan gerimis berfungsi bukan sekadar sebagai ornamen estetis, tetapi juga simbol filosofis yang mencerminkan cinta, kefanaan, ketenangan batin, dan harmoni kosmos. Relasi manusia dan alam dalam keempat puisi tersebut memperlihatkan kesadaran ekologis yang kuat, di mana alam dipandang sebagai entitas hidup yang menyatu dengan batin manusia. Pandangan alam dalam karya-karya ini berpijak pada nilai-nilai filsafat Konfusianisme dan Taoisme: Konfusianisme menekankan keseimbangan moral dan sosial, sedangkan Taoisme mengajarkan keselarasan alami melalui prinsip ziran (自然) dan wu wei (无为). Kedua pandangan tersebut berpadu dalam konsep tian ren he yi (天人合一), yaitu kesatuan antara manusia dan alam. Dengan demikian, puisi-puisi Dinasti Song tidak hanya menghadirkan keindahan alam secara puitis, tetapi juga menyampaikan pesan ekologis lintas zaman bahwa kebijaksanaan sejati tercapai ketika manusia hidup selaras dengan alam dan menjaga keseimbangan kosmos.

Abstract

Artikel ini merupakan hasil penelitian tentang pemanfaatan akun YouTube berkonten pembelajaran bahasa Mandarin dalam literasi digital siswa kelas X. Pada era pandemi ini, pembelajaran daring menjadi pilihan utama, demikian juga dalam pembelajaran bahasa Mandarin di SMA dan membuat literasi digital tetap sangat diandalkan.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan pemanfaatan akun YouTube berkonten pembelajaran bahasa Mandarin dalam literasi digital siswa kelas X SMA. Data penelitian ini dikumpulkan melalui kuisioner dengan responden sebanyak 25 siswa yang dilakukan secara daring dan dianalisis menggunakan metode kuantitatif deskriptifHasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa akun YouTube berkonten pembelajaran bahasa Mandarin secara keseluruhan dapat membantu proses literasi digital siswa kelas X dalam pembelajaran bahasa Mandarin, hal tersebut terbukti dengan menguasai enam elemen literasi digital meliputi: a) information literacy, b) digital scholarship, c) ICT literacy, d) career and identity management, e) communication and collaboration dan f) media literacy, hal tersebut terlihat dari penilaian siswa yang meningkat. Adapun elemen literasi digital yang belum sepenuhnya atau masih rendah dikuasai siswa yakni learning skills.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the process of implementing HSK 4 Preparation teaching materials 汉语水平考试 [Hànyǔ Shuǐpíng Jǎoshì sì jí], and students' responses to the implementation of HSK 4 Preparation teaching materials [Hànyǔ Shuǐpíng Jǎoshì sì jí]. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research method. The results of this study are that the process of implementing HSK 4 Preparation teaching materials ran smoothly, the classroom situation was very conducive and students were enthusiastic and eager to learn using HSK 4 Preparation digital teaching materials. Based on questionnaires and interviews, the implementation of HSK 4 Preparation digital teaching materials had a positive impact on students. Most students think that HSK 4 Preparation digital teaching materials make it easier for students to master HSK 4 vocabulary, increase motivation to learn HSK 4 vocabulary, the teaching materials are easy to access, and can be used for independent learning.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the responses of students in the Mandarin Language Education Study Program at Universitas Negeri Malang regarding the use of the HSK Exam application in the HSK 4 Preparation Course. The study employs a qualitative descriptive approach, involving 48 students as research participants. The supporting instrument used to collect data was an open-ended questionnaire. The findings reveal that students responded positively to the use of the application. This is reflected in their views, which indicate that the HSK Exam application is highly beneficial for the learning process, offers a variety of engaging features, and provides comprehensive practice questions that align with the HSK 4 Exam standards. Therefore, this application can serve as an alternative learning medium for HSK material, both for classroom use and independent study.

Abstract

Despite the popularity of Mandarin Chinese as a foreign language in Indonesia, there has been a lack of attention given to the development of learning media for Indonesian learners. Consequently, this may hinder their comprehension of the materials. This study aims to develop an innovative learning media for Mandarin Chinese learners to help them master the Hànyǔ Shùzì material. The present study involves 27 students majoring in Mandarin Chinese Education at State University of Malang and employs the ADDIE research and development model by Dick and Carry. The model comprises five stages: (1) Analysis, (2) Design, (3) Development, (4) Implementation, and (5) Evaluation. To complement the model, we also used a qualitative descriptive method for the data analysis and employed questionnaires for material validation test, media test, and the subjects. The expert validations confirmed the validity of the Hànyǔ Shùzì learning media in terms of its materials and media. To conclude, the learning media is worth implementing in the teaching and learning process of Mandarin Chinese to Indonesian learners. Inovasi media audio visual: solusi pembelajaran Hanyu Shuzi Meskipun bahasa Mandarin merupakan bahasa asing yang populer di Indonesia, media pembelajaran bahasa Mandarin masih belum banyak dikembangkan. Hal ini berakibat pada sulitnya mahasiswa pembelajar Bahasa Mandarin dalam memahami materi pembelajaran tanpa tersedianya media yang mendukung proses belajar mereka. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk membuat inovasi dengan mengembangkan media pembelajaran materi Hànyǔ Shùzì untuk digunakan oleh mahasiswa pembelajar bahasa Mandarin. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah 27 mahasiswa Prodi Pendidikan Bahasa Mandarin, Universitas Negeri Malang. Pengembangan media Hànyǔ Shùzì menggunakan model pengembangan dari ADDIE oleh Dick and Carry Pengembangan media ini terdiri dari 5 langkah, yaitu: (1) Analisis, (2) Design, (3) Development, (4) Evaluation, dan (5) Implementation. Metode analisis data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah data deskriptif kualitatif. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan terdiri dari lembar angket validasi ahli materi, lembar angket validasi ahli media dan lembar angket untuk subjek uji coba. Berdasarkan hasil yang didapat dari angket validasi ahli materi dan ahli media, diketahui media pembelajaran Hànyǔ Shùzì valid dari segi materi maupun media, sehingga disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran ini layak untuk digunakan.

Abstract

Abstrak Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan meningkatkan kompetensi guru melalui pelatihan penggunaan Genially sebagai media pembelajaran interaktif serta penyusunan panduan praktis yang dapat digunakan secara mandiri. Melalui pendekatan Participatory Action Research (PAR), pelatihan mencakup pengenalan fitur utama Genially, praktik pembuatan konten berbasis microsite dan gamifikasi, serta sesi refleksi dan umpan balik. Evaluasi melalui survei dan dokumentasi menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman teknologi dan kemampuan guru dalam mengintegrasikan media interaktif ke pembelajaran Bahasa Mandarin. Keberadaan booklet panduan dan forum diskusi daring memperkuat keberlanjutan hasil pelatihan. Keberadaan booklet panduan dan forum diskusi daring turut memperkuat keberlanjutan program. Kegiatan ini memberikan kontribusi strategis bagi pengembangan inovasi pembelajaran dan dapat direplikasi di bidang pendidikan lainnya. Kata kunci: pelatihan; genially; media ajar interaktif; bahasa mandarin Abstract This community service program aims to enhance teachers’ competence through training on the use of Genially as an interactive learning medium, along with the development of a practical guidebook for independent use. Implemented using the Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, the training covered the introduction of Genially’s main features, hands-on practice in creating microsite- and gamification-based content, as well as reflection and feedback sessions. Evaluation through surveys and documentation indicated improvements in teachers’ technological understanding and their ability to integrate interactive media into Mandarin language teaching. The availability of the guidebook and an online discussion forum further strengthened the sustainability of the program. This initiative provides a strategic contribution to the development of innovative learning and can be replicated in other educational fields. Keywords: training; genially; interactive teaching media; mandarin

Abstract

In the context of language learning, including Mandarin education in Indonesia, digital literacy provides substantial benefits such as broader access to diverse learning resources, interactive learning opportunities, and more personalized learning experiences, while vocabulary mastery remains a fundamental component of language acquisition because it underpins learners’ ability to comprehend and use the target language effectively. However, although digital literacy has been widely examined in general educational settings, empirical evidence that specifically links digital literacy to HSK Level 3 (三级) vocabulary mastery (三级的生词) among first-year Mandarin students remains limited; therefore, this study addresses this gap by investigating (1) students’ digital literacy levels, (2) their mastery of HSK 3 vocabulary, and (3) the relationship between the two variables among Mandarin Language Study Program students. Using a quantitative survey design, primary numerical data were collected from 205 respondents and analyzed statistically. The results indicate that digital literacy significantly predicts HSK 3 vocabulary mastery (p < 0.05) and demonstrates substantial explanatory power: based on the proportion of regression sum of squares to total sum of squares (13,093.326 / 15,307.395), the model accounts for approximately 85.5% of the variance in vocabulary mastery, with strong overall model fit (F = 1200.480). These findings suggest that higher digital literacy is associated with better HSK 3 vocabulary mastery, highlighting digital literacy as a key factor in supporting successful Mandarin learning in digitally mediated environments and providing evidence to inform more targeted digital-literacy strengthening to optimize students’ use of learning applications, educational videos, and digital dictionaries.

Abstract

One of the language skills used for communication purposes is speaking skills. In Mandarin, speaking skills are skills to express ideas or ideas that involve pronunciation and require proper intonation. As technology advances, learning Mandarin using applications is very helpful because of the ease of access and increasing enthusiasm for learning. For example, the Super Chinese application utilizes AI technology in materials and practice questions. Applications that utilize artificial intelligence (AI) technology are expected to support the learning process, especially learning Mandarin. This study was conducted with the aim of describing the level of students' speaking skills and determining the effectiveness of AI-based applications, one of which is the Super Chinese application. This study uses a quantitative correlational method with a pre-experimental design in the form of a one-group pretest-posttest design. The instrument used is a test instrument in the form of pretest and posttest questions. The data source used was class XI IBB SMA Laboratorium UM, totaling 24 students. Data were obtained from the average results of students' pretest and posttest scores. The data analysis techniques used were paired sample t-test, n-gain test, and pearson correlation test.The results of this study indicate that the Super Chinese application is effective in training the Mandarin speaking skills of class XI IBB students at SMA Laboratorium UM.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the use of poetry for Reading Skills of Chinese Language Education Study Program Students at State University of Malang and describe student responses to the use of poetry book media. The learrning materials used from poetry of Song Dynasty 诉衷情 [sù zhōngqíng] and 卜算子 [bǔsuànzǐ]. This research using a descriptive qualitative approach. Research data sources from 34 students Chinese Language Education Study Program Students at State University of Malang cohort of 2023. Data Collection Techniques in this research using observation sheet and questionnaire. The results of this study indicate that the use of learning media “宋時三百首” [Sòngshīsān bǎi shǒu] Poetry Book is going well. Based on the results of the study, students felt helped and happy when using the book media.  Although there were students who had difficulty understanding when using the poetry book, students stated that the learning media of the poetry book “宋時三百首” [Sòngshīsān bǎi shǒu] could help them to understand the poetry material given, in improving reading skills. This poetry book can also be used for further learning in other courses so that it can also help develop other skills such as listening, writing, and speaking.
