Abstract

Drug Related Problems (DRPs) are defined as events or conditions that possibly cause problems in treatment outcomes. so that it is necessary to study the occurrence of DRPs of antibiotic drugs in pediatric typhoid fever patients inpatients and outpatients at X Hospital, Banjarmasin City. This research is descriptive with a retrospective approach and uses a total sampling technique on 65 samples of medical records of pediatric patients aged 0-12 years. The results showed that patient characteristics were dominated by children aged 2-12 years (96.92%) and male gender (63.08%). The most common use of antibiotics was ceftriaxone (77.28%), followed by ampicillin, cefixime, azithromycin, and ciprofloxacin. In terms of DRPs incidence, 3 cases (4.61%) were found which were included in the category of choosing too high a dose, namely two cases in ampicillin and one case in ceftriaxone. The conclusion of this study is that the majority of aspects of antibiotic use are in accordance with guidelines and there are no DRPs problems because the doses given are in accordance with the usual dose tolerance limits.

Abstract

Eco enzyme is a fermented product from organic waste that has an impact on health and the environment. Eco enzyme is fermented from leftover fruit peels mixed with water and molasses sugar for approximately 90 days. One of the fruit peels that can be used as an eco-enzyme product is orange peel. This study aims to determine the number of germs and test the bacterial resistance to acid in eco enzyme orange peel. The study used a quantitative descriptive method. The sample in this study, namely eco enzyme orange peel that is 90 days old, was calculated the number of germs using a multilevel dilution method, then a bacterial resistance test was carried out to acid in a regulated acidic environment, namely in acidic environmental conditions. Based on the LAB resistance test isolated from eco enzyme to low pH, it showed that 4 LAB isolates with gram-positive properties and rod-shaped can survive in media conditions with a pH of 0.8-2.5 LAB that is faced with more acidic conditions is increasingly resistant to the environmental conditions, this is indicated by the presence of sediment at the bottom of the tube and turbidity after the incubation process for 24 hours. So the eco enzyme can be developed as a probiotic.

Abstract

Bedak dingin Bunga Tanjung merupakan produk kosmetik tradisional khas Kalimantan Selatan yang proses produksinya masih menghadapi kendala pada tahap pengeringan. Selama ini pengeringan dilakukan menggunakan sinar matahari sehingga sangat bergantung pada kondisi cuaca dan menyebabkan penurunan produktivitas pada musim penghujan. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan menerapkan teknologi tepat guna berupa alat pengering bedak dingin berbasis energi listrik untuk meningkatkan efisiensi produksi dan higienitas proses pengeringan. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi identifikasi permasalahan dan kebutuhan mitra, perancangan dan pembuatan alat pengering, penyerahan dan pelatihan penggunaan alat, serta monitoring dan evaluasi penerapan teknologi. Alat pengering yang dihibahkan terdiri atas dua unit lemari pengering berbahan galvanis yang dilengkapi lampu pijar sebagai sumber panas dan thermostat controller untuk pengaturan suhu. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan alat pengering mampu mempercepat waktu pengeringan dari tiga hari menjadi satu hari per siklus produksi atau tiga kali lebih cepat dibandingkan metode konvensional. Dua unit alat pengering menghasilkan kapasitas produksi sebesar 75 pak atau setara 1.800 bungkus per siklus dengan proses yang lebih higienis karena terlindung dari kontaminasi debu dan mikroorganisme. Tingkat pemanfaatan alat mencapai 100% dan seluruh proses pengeringan telah beralih dari metode tradisional ke metode berbasis teknologi. Penerapan alat pengering terbukti meningkatkan efisiensi, produktivitas, dan kualitas proses produksi bedak dingin Bunga Tanjung.

Abstract

Keputusan masyarakat dalam mengakses fasilitas kesehatan seperti rumah sakit, puskesmas, apotek, dan klinik tidak bersifat spontan, melainkan melewati serangkaian proses pertimbangan kognitif yang melibatkan persepsi risiko, kepercayaan, norma sosial, dan ketersediaan sumber daya. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan memetakan model-model teoretis yang paling banyak digunakan dalam penelitian tentang niat dan perilaku konsumen dalam penggunaan layanan kesehatan. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi literatur sistematis terhadap artikel-artikel penelitian dari database Scopus, PubMed, dan Google Scholar yang diterbitkan antara tahun 2010 hingga 2024, dengan kriteria inklusi artikel berindeks, berbahasa Inggris atau Indonesia, yang membahas model atau teori terkait niat dan perilaku penggunaan layanan kesehatan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan terdapat lima model yang dominan digunakan, yaitu: (1) Theory of Reasoned Action (TRA), (2) Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB), (3) Health Belief Model (HBM), (4) Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), dan (5) Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT/UTAUT2). Setiap model memiliki konstruk utama, kekuatan, dan keterbatasan yang berbeda dalam menjelaskan perilaku penggunaan layanan kesehatan. Pemilihan model perlu disesuaikan dengan konteks penelitian, populasi, dan jenis layanan kesehatan yang dikaji. Perkembangan terbaru menunjukkan kecenderungan penggunaan model terintegrasi dengan penambahan faktor kontekstual seperti kepercayaan dan kualitas layanan untuk meningkatkan daya prediksi perilaku penggunaan layanan kesehatan digital.

Abstract

Kemangi merupakan tanaman obat tradisional yang banyak ditemukan diwilayah Indonesia. Daun kemangi berkhasiat sebagai analgetika, antiinflamasi, antibakteri, dan antioksidan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat sediaan salep yang memenuhi persyaratan, mengetahui sifat fisik salep ekstrak etanol Daun Kemangi (Ocimum sanctum (L.)) dengan menggunakan basis salep hidrokarbon dan basis salep serap dan mengidentifikasikan kandungan senyawa kimia yang terdapat pada Daun Kemangi (Ocimum sanctum (L.)). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental dengan melakukan pembuatan dan evaluasi sediaan salep Daun Kemangi. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah ekstrak etanol Daun Kemangi (Ocimum sanctum (L.)) mengandung senyawa flavanoid, tannin, dan steroid dan dapat dijadikan sediaan salep yang memenuhi syarat evaluasi fisik. Uji organoleptis meliputi warna dan bau, dari kedua basis tersebut menunjukkan bahwa perbedaan tipe basis salep ekstrak etanol daun kemangi menyebabkan adanya perbedaan pada kekuatan bau sediaan salep sedangkan untuk warna kedua sediaan memiliki warna hitam. Pada uji pH kedua sediaan memiliki pH 5, pH tersebut memenuhi persyaratan pH sediaan topikal yaitu antara 4,5 – 7 yang sama dengan pH normal kulit. Pada uji homogenitas kedua sediaan menunjukkan bahwa sediaan Homogen (tidak ada gumpalan kasar). Uji daya sebar, basis salep hidrokarbon memiliki daya sebar seluas 5,2 cm sedangkan pada basis salep serap hanya seluas 5 cm.

Abstract

The use of bedak dingin has been passed down from generation to generation by the people of South Kalimantan. Bedak dingin made from rice as the main ingredient is believed to make the skin smooth, brighten the skin, prevent and eliminate acne. This research aims to provide an overview of the application of the marketing mix concept which includes product, price, place and promotion for bedak dingin Bunga Tanjung in South Kalimantan. The research was carried out using a descriptive method where the samples used were women aged 17 – 45 years who live in South Kalimantan and have used bedak dingin Bunga Tanjung more than once. The instrument used was a questionnaire with five Likert scales. The sample collection technique is Accidental Sampling. Based on the Cochran formula, the sample size was 100 respondents. Data analysis was carried out with the help of Microsoft Excel in the form of percentage data presented in table form. The research results show that the product variable is dominated by the product indicator offered (75%), the price variable is the affordable price indicator (87%), the place variable is an easily accessible location (60%) and product promotions placed in the window (56%).

Abstract

The potential of Peronema canescens (sungkai) leaf as a natural anti-inflammatory agent is increasingly studied due to its abundant secondary metabolites. This study aimed to investigate the interaction of sungkai leaf compounds with inflammation-related targets, especially NF-κB and IL-6, using pharmacological network analysis. Compounds were obtained from databases and literature, then analyzed through SwissTargetPrediction. The targets were visualized using String to identify networks between bioactive compounds and key inflammatory pathways. Results showed that flavonoids and terpenoids in sungkai interact with targets that regulate NF-κB and IL-6 signaling. The network also revealed key nodes such as TNF, IL1B, and MAPK8 as central mediators. These findings indicate that sungkai leaves have potential as a multi-target anti-inflammatory agent through modulation of inflammatory networks. Further validation through in vitro and in vivo studies is recommended.

Abstract

Medication errors remain a sndaignificant challenge in efforts to improve patient safety, one of which is triggered by the use of Look Alike Sound Alike (LASA) medications. LASA drugs share similarities in naming, pronunciation, or packaging appearance, thereby increasing the risk of errors during prescribing, preparation, and administration stages. This article aims to review the literature addressing the concept, impact, and management strategies of LASA medications in pharmacy practice from a pharmaceutical management perspective. The research method employed was a narrative literature review of scientific articles published within the last five years and sourced from the Scopus and PubMed databases. The findings indicate that optimal management of LASA medications requires a systematic approach through risk management policies, implementation of standard operating procedures, utilization of health information technology, and strengthening the role of pharmacists within the healthcare system. However, empirical studies examining the effectiveness of LASA policy implementation in healthcare facilities in Indonesia remain limited. Therefore, the development of contextual and sustainable LASA management models is needed to support the enhancement of patient safety.

Abstract

Galam plant (Melaleuca cajuputi) has active compounds of galam plant that have anticancer, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, hepatoprotective, anthelmintic activities. This research aims to find out the thin layer chromatography profile of flavonoid compounds in the ethanol extract of galam leaves. This research is a quantitative research with a laboratory experimental research design by analyzing the thin layer chromatography (TLC) profile of flavonoid compounds with various types of eluents, namely: Eluent n-Hexane: Ethyl acetate (8:2), Eluent n-Hexane: Dichloromethane (8:2) and Ethyl acetate: Dichloromethane (9:1) with quercetin as a comparator.  The best eluent is expressed from the Rf value of the compound that is close to the Rf value of quercetin.  The result of KLT of flavonoid compound with ethyl acetate:n-Hexane (8:2) eluent, quercetin showed an Rf value of 0.46 and 1 spot that is close to the Rf value of quecetin, namely A2 (0.47).  In eluent n-Hexane: Dichloromethane (8:2) shows Rf value of quercetin 0.36 and Rf A1 value: 0.32  and in eluent Ethyl acetate: Dichloromethane (9:1) Rf value of quercetin is 0.76 and there are no spots close to the Rf value of Quercetin.  The conclusion of the best eluent in the thin layer chromatography profile of the flavonoid compound of galam leaf extract is ethyl acetate:n-Hexane (8:2).
