Abstract

Kemampuan penjelasan ilmiah (scientific explanation) adalah suatu kemampuan dalam bernalar yang dapat membantu siswa dalam memahami ilmu pengetahuan dalam hal penyelidikan ilmiah. Terdapat tiga komponen penting yang harus ada dalam penjelasan ilmiah. Komponen tersebut diantaranya klaim, bukti, dan penalaran. Fakta di lapangan membuktikan bahwa siswa memiliki tingkat scientific explanation rendah, dibuktikan dalam menjawab soal penjelasan dimana siswa masih belum bisa memberikan suatu bukti nyata dalam fenomena alam yang memperkuat penjelasan. Siswa cenderung tidak jelas dalam menyampaikan kesimpulan yang telah didapatkan melalui proses penyelidikan. Sehingga perlu adanya suatu pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan scientific explanation siswa. Kemampuan scientific explanation ini dapat diterapkan melalui pembelajaran berbasis penyelidikan yakni Inkuiri. Pembelajaran inkuiri secara terstruktur adalah suatu model pembelajaran inkuiri dengan level terendah sehingga dapat mudah diterapkan terhadap siswa yang belum pernah diberikan model pembelajaran inkuiri. Model pembelajaran inkuiri terstruktur dapat melatih siswa untuk berpikir secara kritis dengan menemukan atau memecahkan sendiri tentang suatu permasalahan yang telah didapatkan dengan panduan guru. Pada penerapannya diperlukan suatu stimulus berupa LKPD sebagai sarana berlatih siswa dalam kegiatan pembelajaran, hal tersebut diterapkan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan scientific explanation siswa. Implementasi model pembelajaran inkuiri terstruktur dapat meningkatkan kemampuan scientific explanation siswa.Kata Kunci: scientific explanation, inkuiri terstruktur, LKPD

Abstract

Model pembelajaran guided inquiry merupakan suatu kegiatan belajar mengajar yang melibatkan secara maksimal seluruh kemampuan siswa untuk mencari dan menyelidiki secara sistematis, kritis, logis, dan analitis, sehingga mereka dapat merumuskan sendiri penemuannya dengan penuh percaya diri. Fakta dilapangan dalam pembelajaran guided inquiry siswa masih merasa kesulitan dalam proses pembelajaran. Untuk mempermudah siswa dalam proses pembelajarannya maka disertai teknik peta konsep. Dimana teknik peta konsep dapat digunakan untuk mengungkapkan konsepsi, menyelidiki apa yang telah diketahui, menolong siswa mempelajari cara belajar, dan sebagai alat evaluasi. Adapun langkah-langkah pembelajaran guided inquiry yaitu mendapatkan perhatian dan menjelaskan proses inquiry, menyajikan permasalahan inquiry atau kejadian yang tidak sesuai, Meminta siswa merumuskan hipotesis untuk menjelaskan permasalahan atau kejadian, mendorong siswa untuk mengumpulkan data untuk menguji hipotesis, merumuskan penjelasan dan/atau kesimpulan, merefleksikan situasi bermasalah dan proses berpikir yang digunakan untuk menyelidiki. Dengan demikian, siswa dapat dengan memudah memahami materi kaitan konsep-konsep yang telah dipelajarinya.Kata kunci: model guided inquiry, pembelajaran fisika, peta konsep

Abstract

Resistivity method is a useful geophysical tool for investigating landslides. It can be used to estimate the subsurface structure of a landslide mass, the depth of the failure surface, and the lateral extent of a landslide. High resolution of resistivity data were obtained by applying Schlumberger configuration, while penetrating deepness was obtained by applying Vertical Electrical Sounding (VES) configuration. Interpretation of subsurface condition showed there was soil layer in survey area which was indicated as slip surface triggering the landslide.

Abstract

Retention is one of the important factors of a lesson. Retention or memory can be trained to students one using worksheet based on mind mapping. The purpose of this study to determined the students strength of retention after using worksheet based on mind mapping in momentum and impulse matter for students grade X senior high school. Before worksheet based on mind mapping is used in the learning process it must go through a validation process. Worksheet based on mind mapping categorized is valid that worksheet based on mind mapping can be used. The high degree of retention determined by compared the result of second posttest and first posstest. Based on data obtained, worksheet based on mind mapping in momentum and impulse matter for students grade X senior high school student retention results obtained 85.5%, which means retention of students categorized as high. Abstract

Bernalar merupakan kemampuan yang sangat diperlukan peserta didik dalam pembelajaran fisika karena berhubungan dengan hasil belajar yang dicapai. Kemampuan bernalar merupakan salah satu keterampilan penting yang diperlukan di abad ke-21 sebagai bekal dalam menghadapi tantangan global. Salah satu kemampuan penalaran yang menjadi tema penelitian terbaru adalah kemampuan bernalar berbasis bukti dengan salah satu keterampilannya dikenal sebagai scientific explanation. Kemampuan scientific explanation berupa tanggapan tertulis atau lisan terhadap pertanyaan yang mengharuskan peserta didik untuk menganalisis data dan menafsirkan data berkenaan dengan pengetahuan ilmiah. Kemampuan ini menggabungkan sejumlah keterampilan yang kompleks termasuk kemampuan untuk mengartikulasikan sebuah teori, untuk memahami jenis bukti yang dapat mendukung atau bertentangan dengan teori untuk menjelaskan fenomena yang sama. Peserta didik yang memiliki kemampuan scientific explanation yang baik dapat memperoleh hasil belajar yang baik. Dengan melihat pentingnya kemampuan scientific explanation dalam pembelajaran sains, termasuk fisika, dalam artikel diuraikan kajian tentang kemampuan scientific explanation dan implementasi pembelajaran yang terkait dengan kemampuan tersebut. Abstract

Pengaruh media aplikasi berbasis android terhadap literasi sains dan hasil belajar IPA siswa SMP. Dunia pendidikan terus mengalami perkembangan pesat di bidang sains dan teknologi yang dikenal sebagai era abad 21. Untuk menunjang tantangan tersebut, maka pembelajaran di sekolah perlu terintergrasi dengan keterampilan literasi sains. Salah satu caranya melalui penggunaan media aplikasi berbasis android, yang pada penelitian ini dibuat dengan memanfaatkan Microsoft Power Point dan Website 2 Apk Builder. Tujuan penelitian yaitu mengkaji pengaruh penggunaan media aplikasi berbasis android terhadap literasi dan hasil belajar IPA siswa SMP. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 64 siswa kelas VII SMP, dengan teknik Purposive Sampling Area, penggunaanya didasarkan pada kebutuhan penelitian. Adapun materi yang digunakan yaitu KD. 3.6 organisasi kehidupan kelas VII yang dilaksanakan pada tanggal 3 – 24 Februari 2021. Jenis dan desain penelitian yaitu quasi eksperimen, post test only control group design. Teknik dan instrumen pengumpulan data utama yaitu menggunakan tes tulis. Teknik analisis data menggunakan SPSS Uji Normalitas Kolmogorov-Smirnov, Uji hipotesis independent sample t-test. Hasil analisis keduanya yaitu nilai Sig.(2-tailed) 0,002 < 0,05 yang dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa media aplikasi berbasis android berpengaruh signifikan terhadap literasi sains dan hasil belajar siswa. Hal tersebut menujukkan bahwa penggunaan media aplikasi yang memanfaatkan Microsoft Power Point dan Website 2 Apk Builder dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif media dalam pembeajaran IPA. (2-tailed) 0.002 < 0.05 which can be concluded that android-based application media has a significant effect on scientific literacy and student learning outcomes. It provides education that the use of media applications were made using Microsoft PowerPoint and Website 2 Apk Builder can be used by teachers as alternative media in science learning. Abstract

Abstract The teaching and learning process of science, especially physics, will be meaningful if the teaching and learning process is appropriate with the nature of science, it means that learning physics is not only through the collection of facts, principles, laws, and theories, but also involves the process of knowledge is obtained. The learning process is beneficial in the skills of the students’ inquiry, such as increasing social interaction between the students, giving the students the opportunity to do activities directly, guiding the students to develop scientific vocabulary, encouraging the development of problem solving skills, helping cognitive growth, improving attitudes towards science, and helping the students to build mental images from new ideas. The type of research used is experimental research. The research design used nonequivalent control group design. In determining the place of research using the purposive sampling area method. The research was conducted in SMAN 1 Purwoharjo in the even semester of the 2018/2019 academic year. The competencies and indicators of inquiry skills that will be used are: (1) observation (2) investigation (3) exploration (4) skills to find something new. The analysis technique used the Independent Sample T-Test using the SPSS version 23 program, which is used to analyze the effect of the virtual laboratory assisted inquiry model on the skills of high school student inquiry. Based on the results of this research, it is known that the virtual laboratory inquiry model significantly have effects to the skills of high school students’ inquiry. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the guided inquiry learning model assisted by a virtual laboratory on the graphic representation ability of high school students in schools. The multi-representation used in this study is a graphical representation. This study uses a quasi-experimental method with a post test only design. The sample used in this study was taken by purposive sampling technique. This research was conducted at SMAN Pakusari with the research subjects of class X MIA 4 as the experimental class and class X MIA 1 as the control class. Data collection techniques using tests, tests in this study as data collection containing questions / exercises that are used to measure the ability of graphic representation owned by each individual. Based on the results of the t-test, with the 2 independent sample t-test or Mann-Whitney U test, it can be seen that the output of the Statistic Test for the asymp value. Sig. (2-tailed) that is 0.002 < 0.05 so that there is a significant effect between the ability of graphic representation in the experimental class and the control class. Abstract

Abstract: This study was conducted to analyze inference skills of students on the material temperature and heat accompanied by application of guided inquiry learning model in SMP Negeri 2 Jember. This study uses classroom action research conducted in the first semester of the academic year 2019/2020. The subject of research is VII E grade from SMP Negeri 2 Jember include 30 people. Study period is 3 months from August to September 2019. In practice, this study apply 2 learning cycles, each cycle was conducted 4 stages: planning, implementation, monitoring/observation, and reflection. The data collection is done by using a essay test contained in the worksheet learners. Data collected from essay test then analyzed with qualitatively. Based on the analysis of the data obtained showed that the implementation of the learning cycle I, the results of students' mastery of inference skills by 69%, which means its not yet to reach the indicators set. In the second learning cycle results obtained completeness inference skills of students by 77% so that it has reached the specified indicators.The results showed inference skills of students in the material heat and temperature increased significantly after conducting guided inquiry learning model. Abstract

This research aims to examine the effect of the GI-GI (Group Investigation-Guided Inquiry) learning model on the learning outcomes and problem-solving skills of junior high school students in science instruction. The type of research used is quasi-experimental (quasi-research), including quantitative analysis. The research sample was selected using the purposive sampling technique; the samples obtained were class VII B as the experimental class and VII C as the control class from SMP Negeri 3 Rambi Puji. Data collection techniques consist of tests, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique of this study used the Independent Sample T-test. The results of this research are the GI-GI (Group Investigation-Guided Inquiry) learning model has a significant effect on the learning outcomes of junior high school students. Furthermore, the GI-GI (Group Investigation-Guided Inquiry) learning model significantly affects the problem-solving skills of junior high school students.
