Abstract

This study aims to determine student learning outcomes in Arabic subjects before the application of Big Book media, the process of applying Big Book media and student learning outcomes after the application of Big Book media in class IV MI Naelushibyan. The research method used is classroom action research through four repetitive stages of planning, implementation, observation or observation, and reflection. The object of research was 15 students. The research instrument consisted of a teacher activity observation sheet, a student activity observation sheet and a written test. Data collection techniques use observation and test techniques. The results obtained from this study are the learning outcomes of students in the pre cycle get an average score of 53. The first cycle obtained the average value of teacher activity 72.2% and cycle II obtained an average value of 94.4%. Student activity in cycle I obtained an average value of 69.21% and cycle II obtained an average value of 91.07%. Student learning outcomes in cycle I obtained an average value of 77, cycle II obtained an average value of 83.6. It can be concluded that Big Book media can improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was conducted to find out the results of the cognitive skill, especially in the subjects of Arabic language. This research analysed before and after cognitive skill using the model of cooperative learning, and identified the activites with the approach in grade III Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) Nurul Huda Bandung, West Jawa, Indonesia. This research uses Classroom Action Research (CAR), that have been implemented in two cycles.  Based on the results of the data processing, obtained mean of cognitive learning skill of students before using the model of cooperative learning is 54.09 (27%).  The application of cooperative learning in cycle I gained an average rating of teacher's activities amounted to 72% and students is 67%, respectively. Furthermore, teacher and students activities in cycle II witnessed to increase dramatically, the former is 94% and later is 92%, respectively. The cognitive skill of students in MI after using cooperative learning on cycle I gained an average rating of 75 (86%), and in cycle II derived to 95 (87.7%). This indicate that model of cooperative learning is able to enhance cognitive skill of students on Arabic subject in MI Nurul Huda Bandung.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the errors of students in using contextual and idiomatic expressions in Arabic student theses of Education Faculty of UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung and to describe the factors that influence the errors. The method used is content analysis and data was analyzed qualitatively. All contextual and idiomatic expressions in the theses of students will be analyzed and combined with Arabic dictionary. Data source is 20 students’ theses. The results showed that errors are still found in contextual and idiomatic expressions, so the meaning of the sentence is not appropriate. The students got difficulties to distinguish both contextual expression and idiomatic expression of huruf jarr usage in writing sentences. The function of huruf jarr is still strange for them. Basicly, it was influenced by several factors, mainly the influence of Indonesian language which is very dominant, in addition to the fact that less students are given sufficient training to use huruf jarr.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertolak dari permasalahan pembelajaran bahasa Arab di Pesantren At Thohiriyyah – Cianjur dan Pesantren Sadang Lebak – Garut dimana kemampuan santri dalam menganalisis kaidah nahw sharf  masih lemah yang ditujukan dengan lemahnya kemampuan mereka dalam membaca dan menerjemahkan teks-teks Arab. Hal ini disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor. Pada tulisan ini penulis ingin mengetahui adakah hubungan antara kemampuan santri terhadap analisis kaidah nahw sharf dan kemampuan mereka dalam membaca dan menerjemahkan teks-teks Arab. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui penguasaan santri terhadap analisis kaidah nahw sharf, kemampuan mereka dalam membaca teks, , kemampuan mereka dalam menterjemahkan teks dan mengetahui hubungan antara ketiganya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif.  Dan cara penelitian ini berupa observasi, wawancara, teks dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Hubungan kemampuan santri terhadap analisis kaidah nahw sharf di pesantren-pesantren tradisional dengan kemampuan santri untuk membaca dan menerjemahkan teks-teks Arab, maka mendapatkan koefisien korelasi 0,51 dengan adanya hubungan, dan medapatkan hasil signifikansi dengan nilai t hitung 2,514 dan hasil dari t tabel 2,101 dengan tingkat signifikansi 5%. Jadi dapat disimpulkan Hipotesis nol (Ho) ditolak, dan keputusan ujian dapat diterima.

Abstract

Penelitian  ini  bertolak  dari  penggunaan  metode  pengajaran  bahasa  Arab  yang  masih menggunakan  metode  klasik.  Hal  itu  nampak  dimana  metode  tersebut  digunakan  di berbagai   sekolah   dan   pesantren   dalam   pembelajaran   bahasa   Arab.   Metode   kaidah terjemah  dianggap  sebagai  metode  yang  terbaik  dalam  pengajaran  bahasa  Arab.Pada penelitian  ini  peneliti  akan  menyampaikan  metode  baru  dalam  pembelajaran  bahasa Arab yang lebih  didasarkan  pada  keaktifan siswa. Dengan kata lain  pembelajaran pada metode  ini  lebih  difokuskan  pada  kerjasama  antarsiswa  dalam  pembelajaran  bahasa Arab.Penelitian   ini   bertujuan   untuk   mengetahui   pendekatan,   metode,   dan   teknik pengajaran bahasa Arab dengan menggunakan metode pembelajaran bahasa yang bersifat komunitas;Community  Language  Learning  (CLL).  Metode  yang  digunakan  dalam  penelitian ini  adalah  metode  analisis  teori.  Adapun  hasil  penelitiannya  bahwa  pendekatan  yang digunakan  pada   metode  ini  adalah  pendekatan  kolaboratif,  sedangkan  metode  dan teknik  pembelajarnnya  lebih  menekankan  pada  keaktifan  siswa  dan  guru  berperan sebagai pemberi solusi atas semua permasalahan siswa

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the Arabic language teachers’ competence and performance who participated in PPG (Pendidikan Profesi Guru/ Teacher Profession Education) at LPTK (Lembaga Pendidik dan Tenaga Kependidikan/ Education Staff and Teacher College) UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. The present study applied a qualitative approach and analytical descriptive method. Data were collected using observation techniques, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. Data were analyzed through several steps: organizing data, translating data into units, synthesizing, analyzing, and making conclusions. The validity of the data was tested using the triangulation technique. The results showed that the Arabic language teachers’ level of competence before joining PPG was taken from their Initial Competency Test and their average academic test score was 62.53 (medium category). After they joined PPG, there was an increase in their competence and performance. Their gain can be seen from several indicators: discipline, dedication, motivation, work ethic. The average value of each indicator was 6.5%.

Abstract

This research is based on students' prolematics in learning Arabic. Most students have not paid much attention to Arabic material. This causes their weak ability to listen and speak. And that leads to delays in achieving the goals of listening and speaking skills themselves. Judging from the monthly average score of students, as many as 37.5% of students got scores above the KKM on listening skills. Then as many as 45% of students scored above the KKM on speaking ability. The remaining 62.5% of students who scored below the KKM on listening skills, and 55% of students who scored below the KKM on speaking ability. Based on the results of the author's observations in the field, language learning methods Arabic used by teachers in teaching has not been effective, especially in improving listening and speaking skills at Al-Basyariyah Islamic Boarding School Bandung. The debate method is a method that uses thoughts and ideas between two opposing camps that reinforce each other's arguments. There are three terms that must be understood correctly, namely the method approach, and the model in teaching. Listening ability is a person's ability to understand words or sentences spoken by someone or heard through audio. Speaking ability is the ability to express the sounds in a sentence. related ideas conveyed and responding to the statements of others.The purpose of this study was to determine the students' listening ability in learning Arabic, and also to determine their speaking ability in learning Arabic, and to determine the effect of using the debate method on students' listening and speaking skills. The method used in this study was the true experimental design method. And the approach used in this research is a quantitative approach. The data collection method in this study was carried out by direct observation, personal interviews, and tests.The results of this study are that the students' listening ability before using the debate method in Arabic learning shows a good level, this is indicated by an average score of 71. The students' listening ability after using the debate method in Arabic learning shows a very good level, with the average value is 87. While the students' speaking ability before using the debate method in Arabic learning shows a good level, this can be seen in the results of the score with a percentage of 47% while the students' speaking ability after using the debate method shows very good results, This can be seen in the results of the value with a percentage of 66%. The use of the debate method has an effect on the listening ability of experimental class students as much as 0.6, there is an increase of 58%. For the experimental class speaking ability of 0.4, there was an increase of 37%. And as a comparison balance for the control class on listening skills of 0.4, there is an increase of 41%. And in students' speaking ability as much as 0.1 there is an increase of 12%. It can be concluded that the use of the debate method to determine the improvement of students' listening and speaking abilities is very effective compared to students who do not use the debate method (control class).

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effect of using Developmentally Appropriate Practice (DAP) learning strategies with Index Card Match media on student learning outcomes in mufradāt material in class VIII-B MTs. This research is a classroom action research. In this study, 31 class VIII-B students of MTs Ar-Rasyidiyah were divided into five groups. Learning outcomes data is measured using multiple-choice tests and descriptions that are relevant to the mufradāt material. Data analysis using the t-test showed that students who used the DAP learning strategy with Index Card Match media experienced a significant increase in learning outcomes compared to conventional methods. This study concluded that the application of the DAP learning strategy with Index Card Match media could improve student learning outcomes on mufradāt material in class VIII-B MTs Ar-Rasyidiyah, with the acquisition of an average score on the pretest of 66 and an average score on the post-test of 99. Follow-up studies can involve larger samples and different learning materials to generalize these findings further. This research provides valuable insights into effective teaching strategies and highlights the importance of incorporating appropriate media to enhance student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji efektivitas pendekatan bilingualisme (al-Sunaʿiyyah al-Lughawiyyah) dalam pembelajaran bahasa Arab di Indonesia melalui tinjauan literatur. Pendekatan bilingual, yang mengintegrasikan penggunaan bahasa Arab dan bahasa Indonesia dalam proses pembelajaran, dinilai mampu menjembatani kesenjangan linguistik sekaligus meningkatkan keterampilan menyimak, berbicara, membaca, dan menulis siswa secara lebih sistematis dan kontekstual. Artikel ini menggunakan metode kajian pustaka tematik-naratif terhadap sejumlah literatur ilmiah, baik dari jurnal terakreditasi, buku akademik, maupun laporan penelitian, yang membahas praktik dan efektivitas pembelajaran bilingual di berbagai institusi pendidikan Islam di Indonesia. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa efektivitas pendekatan ini sangat dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor, seperti kompetensi guru, manajemen lingkungan belajar (bi’ah lughawiyyah), relevansi kurikulum, dan latar belakang siswa. Pendekatan bilingual terbukti tidak hanya mempermudah pemahaman konsep linguistik melalui penggunaan bahasa ibu, tetapi juga memperkuat motivasi dan keterlibatan siswa dalam penggunaan bahasa Arab secara aktif. Implementasi yang berhasil umumnya melibatkan integrasi penuh antara kebijakan kelembagaan, pelatihan guru, serta pembiasaan berbahasa Arab dalam kegiatan harian. Oleh karena itu, pendekatan al-Sunaʿiyyah al-Lughawiyyah relevan untuk diterapkan secara luas dalam konteks pembelajaran bahasa Arab di Indonesia, khususnya untuk menjawab tantangan pedagogis dalam lingkungan multibahasa dan multikultural.
