Abstract

Abstract : Peatland fires are confirmed to affect ecological balance of ecosystems due to vegetation destruction. The leaves are the first organ of the most flammable. Therefore, the morphological characteristics of plant leaves after the fire are importance to be studied. This reserach aims to produce LKPD Learning VIII class of biological science at Junior High School by utilizing the research findings on the morphological characteristics of plant leaves. For this purpose, a survey was conducted in Rimba Panjang Village, Kampar District, Riau Province in February-October 2017. Quadratic method and purposive sampling technique were used based on post-fire gradient 2009, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017. Leaf morphological characteristics were observed at the dominant sapling level. Data were analyzed descriptively-qualitative. The results obtained were 6 dominant saplings species, i.e Evodia roxburghiana, Acacia mangium, Ilex cymosa, Eugenia pelyta, Macaranga triloba and Cratoxylon arborescens. Morphological Characteristics of Acacia mangium leaves have a hard leaf repeating system compared with other plant leaves. It can be concluded that hard leaf repeats are characteristic of sapling leaf morphology so that it is more susceptible to fire. These characteristics can be utilized for the development of biology science LKPD for VII grade at Junior High School on Environmental Pollution (KD 3.8) and Structure and Function for VIII Grade (KD 3.4). Testing of the use of LKPD that has been generated and the benefits of enriching student learning materials in a classical manner is highly recommended.Keywords : Leaf Morphology, Peat Land, Post Fire, LKPD, Junior High School

Abstract

Abstract : This study aims to determine students' perceptions of class X on learning across Biology interest program of Social Sciences in Pekanbaru City. This is a descriptive research using survey method conducted in April until June 2018. The population in this study is the X class students of biology interest program which amounted to 326 students, consisting of 5 schools, they are SMAN 1, SMAN 4, SMAN 5, SMAN 8 and SMAN 12 Pekanbaru. The sample in this study amounted to 180 students determined based on random technique. Instruments used for data collection in the form of questionnaire instruments and interviews. The result of the research shows that the perception of the students of class X on learning cross-interest in Biology program of Social Sciences in Pekanbaru City is 74% which is good, with perception indicator that is 70% absorption which is enough, equal to 71% which is good, and indicator of rating equal to 81% which is good. Overall the perception of the students of class X on learning cross-interest in Biology program of Social Sciences in Pekanbaru City is 74% which is good. Opening of cross-interest program at school, not in accordance with the demands of Curriculum 2013. Implementation of practicum in learning cross-interest Biology has not fulfilled the criteria of Curriculum demand 2013.Keywords: Perception, cross biological interest, Social Sciences Program

Abstract

Abstract : This study is aim to know the effect of 2,4-D and Kinetin for the growth of embryo culture Orange Kuok (Citrus nobilis Lour) and to design source learning in form of handout. The study is doing in Laboratory of Biology Education FKIP University of Riau and Laboratory Biotechnology of Islamic University Riau from April – June 2017. This Study using complete randomized design factorial by 5 x 5 with three repetition. First factor 2,4-D (D) consist of 5 level: 0 mgl-1, 1 mgl-1, 2 mgl-1, 3 mgl-1 , dan 4 mgl-1. Second factor Kinetin (K) consist of level: 0 mgl-1, 1 mgl-1, 2 mgl-1, 3 mgl-1 , dan 4 mgl-1. Measured parameters is time of bud appear, percentage of explan life, time of roots appear, number of bud, number of roots, and high of bud. The data is analyze using ANAVA and further test with DNMRT on 5%. Result of this study show effect 2,4-D and Kinetin have significantly impact on growth of embryo Orange Kuok. Combination of 2,4-D and Kinetin show fastest appearing of bud is on D4K3 7 day after culture treatment compared with D0K0 9,67 day after culture, Combination 2,4-D and Kinetin show that 11 treatment have 100% life percentage D1K4, D2K2, D2K3, D2K4, D3K2, D3K3, D3K4, D4K1, D4K2, D4K3, D4K4, Combination 2,4-D and Kinetin show fastest appearing of roots on D4K4 treatment 7,67 day after culture, Combination 2,4-D and Kinetin show the highest number of bud in the treatment D4K3(4.67), Combination of 2.4-D and Kinetin showed the highest number of roots in the treatment of D4K3 (7), Combination 2.4-D and Kinetin showed the highest bud height that is in treatment D4K3 (4.33 cm). The results of this study can be used as a design of learning resources in the form of handouts in the concept of modern biotechnology class XII Senior High School.Keywords : 2,4-D, Kinetin, Embryo Culture, Handout

Abstract

Abstract : This study aims to produce LKPD oriented guided inquiry learning model on the material structure and function of plant tissue to improve the thinking ability krtitis learners class XI SMA. This research was conducted at the Laboratory of Biology Education Department of PMIPA Faculty of Teacher Training and Education University of Riau and SMAN 1 Benai in June-October 2017. This type of research is development research by using ADDIE model. Research subject KD 3.3 Analyzing the relationship between cell structure in plant tissue and organ function in plants. The instruments of data collection are the LKPD assessment / validation sheets, and the students' response questionnaire. The assessment / validation sheet consists of 3 aspects: design aspect, pedagogic aspect and content aspect. The data obtained from the development of LKPD oriented guided inquiry learning model on the material structure and function of plant tissue to improve critical thinking ability of class XI high school students who have validated 4 (four) validators, consisting of 2 lecturers and 2 high school teachers. Furthermore, I tested and also distributed a questionnaire addressed to Biology Education students semester 5 as many as 15 people. After trial I, LKPD was revised. Then conducted II trials as well as distributing a questionnaire aimed at 20 students of grade XI SMAN 1 Benai. The end result of trial I and II is the questionnaire of the respondents' response. The validation result shows the mean score of design aspect of 3 LKPD developed is 3.49 categories is very valid, the pedagogic aspect score is 3.30 valid category, and the mean content aspect score is 3.55 valid categories. The average score of all aspects of the three LKPD is 3.45 valid categories. The results of the first test showed an average score of 3.29 with very good category. The results of the second trial showed the average score of 3.42 with good category. Results of analysis of the students' answers on LKPD oriented Guided Inquiry learning model to improve the ability of critical thinking is 92.2 with very good category.Keywords: Student Worksheets, Guided Inquiry, Critical Thinking

Abstract: Do research to find out the quality of hospital wastewater treatment systems with anaerobic-aerobic biofilter for design student worksheet conducted in November 2015 to January 2016. This type of research is descriptive research with field survey methods. Many samples 2 samples with pick-up points at the inlet and outlet IPAL anaerobic-aerobic biofilter system at one hospital in Pekanbaru. The collection of data with a survey method, in which the waste water samples taken at the inlet and outlet IPAL anaerobic-aerobic biofilter system hospitals. Parameters measured include the following physical parameters include temperature, TSS, TDS. Chemical parameters include pH, COD, MBAs, BOD5, NH3 Total, Oils and Grease. Microbiological parameters Total coliform. Data were analyzed descriptively. Results showed treatment with a system biofilter anaerobic-aerobic produce effluent quality hospital safely discharged to the environment (meet environmental quality standards) and the results are used as a design student worksheet (LKS) on the biology subject Vocational High School (SMK ) Pharmacy Ikasari Pekanbaru.Keywords: Biofilter, Wastewater, Hospital, Student Work Sheet

Abstract

Abstract: This development aims to produce a Powtoon-Based Learning Animation Video on Respiration System Material for Class XI SMA. The research was carried out at the Biology Education Study Program FKIP Riau University, SMA Negeri Plus Provinsi Riau and SMA Negeri 1 Pekanbaru from June to November 2021. The subject of this research was KD 3.4 material for the XI high school respiratory system. The type of research used is the ADDIE Research and Development model. The instruments used are validation and response questionnaires. The validation sheet consists of 4 aspects, namely the display aspect, the program aspect, the pedagogic aspect and the content aspect. The average validation result for animated video based on Powtoon based on these four aspects is 3.79 with a very valid category. The four aspects include display aspects with an average of 3.70, program aspects with an average of 3.85, pedagogic aspects with an average of 3.90 and content aspects with an average of 3.72. The results of the limited trial phase 1 obtained an average score of 3.76 in the very good category. While the results of the limited trial phase 2 obtained an average score of 3.80 in the very good category. The results showed that the animation video based on Powtoon on the respiratory system material for class XI Senior High School is of high quality and suitable to be used as a learning medium.Key Words: Learning Animation Video, Powtoon, Respiratory System.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to produce an electronic Student Worksheet (e-LKPD) with Flip PDF Professional based on the Constructivism Approach on Respiration System Materials for Class XI SMA. The research was carried out at the Biology Education Study Program, FKIP UNRI and at the zoom meeting platform for SMA Negeri 1 Pekanbaru students from June to September 2021. This type of research used the ADDIE model. The instruments used are validation sheets and response questionnaires. The results of the validation of the electronic LKPD with Flip PDF Professional based on the Constructivism Approach in Class XI High School Respiration System Materials show that the electronic LKPD that has been developed is in the very valid category with an overall average score of 3.86. The results of the first stage of the trial obtained an average score of 3.48 and the results of the second stage of the trial obtained an average score of 3.49 in the very good category. Based on the results of the analysis of students' answers to the electronic LKPD from the constructivism stage, namely idea generation, idea structure, idea application and reflection, an average score of 3.75 was obtained. The results showed that the well-developed electronic worksheets were suitable to be used as a reference for learning in schools as well as independent learning resources to increase students' knowledge and understanding of the respiratory system material in facilitating students to build their own knowledge.Key Words: Electronic Student Worksheet, Constructivism Approach, Respiratory System.

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to develop the Student Training Worksheet (LKPD) with the ethnics-based Search, Solve, Create, Share (SSCS) model and critical thinking on the high school class X ecological material in March-December 2019. The research was conducted in two places, namely to LKPD validation was conducted at the FKIP UNRI Biology Education Campus and LKPD limited trials were conducted at SMAN 15 Pekanbaru. This type of research refers to the R&D research approach using the ADDIE model developed by Dick and Carry. The subject of this research is the subject matter of Biology in high school class X KD 3.10. The developed LKPD consisted of 2 meetings (1 week = 3 JP) with a time allocation of 1 JP for 45 minutes. The parameters of this study include the results of the validation of the development of LKPD by the validator, limited test assessment and critical thinking skills assessment. The assessment is done using a validation sheet and a questionnaire. Data analysis is descriptive qualitative and quantitative. The results of this study indicate that LKPDs that have been developed are in the very valid category with an average score of all aspects of 3.46, the value of the results of trials I and II in all aspects obtained an average score of 3.63 and 3.42 with very good categories. The value of the answers to students' critical thinking skills at LKPD meetings 1 and 2 are 93 and 93.8 with very good categories. Based on the results of the validation, the results of the first trial, the results of the second trial and the revisions that have been made, LKPD is good and feasible to be used as a reference at school learning to increase students' knowledge and understanding of ecological material.Key Words: Critical Thinking , Ethnoscience, Student Worksheets, Model Search, Solve, Create, Share (SSCS)

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the level of validity of students' worksheets (LKPD) based on contextual materials on environmental pollution to empower the creative thinking abilities of Class VII SMP. This research was conducted in two places, namely validation by the validator carried out in the Biology Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Riau and a limited trial was carried out at SMPN 6 Bangko Pusako in May-October 2019. This type of research is development research using the ADDIE model conducted to the development stage (development). There are 4 LKPD developed. Data collection instruments in this study were LKPD validation sheets, and questionnaire respondents. After LKPD is developed, it is then validated by 5 validators. After that, the first trial was conducted on 15 biology education students from the Teaching and Education Faculty of Riau University, and the second trial was conducted on 20 Class VII students at SMPN 6 Bangko Pusako. Contextual-based class VII student worksheets (LKPD) have been successfully developed with a very valid category.Key Words : Development, LKPD, Contextual, Creative Thinking Ability.

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this research is to know the level of suitability coverage of materials and components of material presentation Plant Classification in Biology textbook of Senior High School 10th Grade with Curriculum 2013 based on standard of BSNP. This research is a descriptive research with content analysis design. The content analysis in this study aims to describe the level of suitability coverage of materials Plant Classification from aspects coverage of material; consists of the breadth of material and the depth of material, and of the component of material presentation; consists of aspects techniques of material presentation, aspects supporting of material presentation, and aspects of learning presentation. Sampling of Biology textbook is conducted with purposive sampling technique, which should contain the concept of plant classification and written based on Curriculum 2013. The instruments used in this research were adopted from the BSNP assessment instruments in evaluating a textbook, by modifying and describing instrument descriptions according to the research objectives. The data collection technique in this study is documentary study. Plant Classification material contained in the Biology Textbook is then analyzed by researchers by analyzing each text, image, and table. The obtained data were analyzed descriptively quantitatively. The results showed the percentage suitability of the scope of the Plant Classification material in the book A was 93.59% and book B was 81.13%. While the presentation component of Plant Classification material in the book A is 92.5% and book B is 93.75%. Based on the results it can be concluded that the level of suitability of the scope of the Plant Classification material in the book A is very suitable and book B is suitable. The component of presentation of Plant Classification material in the book A and book B are very good.Key Words: Plant Classification, Coverage of Materials, Components of Material Presentation
