Abstract

he excessive use of chemicals for vegetable cultivation in Karangrejo, North Metro threatens the sustainability of agriculture. The high control of pests, weeds, and labor costs causes farmers to use chemicals and doses tend to increase, which poses a risk to consumers. PKM objectives: 1. Organic cultivation, 2. Training on post-harvest innovation on washing, packing, labeling, and packaging variations. 3. Variations of processed organic vegetables: ice cream and nuggets. 4. Development of offline and online marketing. Activities during July-September 2022, to 15 members of the Hijau Daun farmers group, with assistance/training on organic cultivation, post-harvest with the application of Pumakkal Liquid Fertilizer Production of PT. Pumahitari University of Muhammadiyah Metro, making ice cream and vegetable nuggets, offline and online sales practices. Activity results: 1. Farmer groups know and are capable of environmentally friendly organic cultivation. 2. Able to make compost and liquid fertilizer and 9 types of vegetables obtained Prima 3.3 certificate. Able to make ready-to-cook packages, Hida ice cream, and nuggets and use the web.

Abstract

This study aimed to find types and the most dominant speech act of illocutionary acts found in Raya and the Last Dragon movie. This study utilized a descriptive qualitative method. Primary and secondary data were collected to find the answers of the problem. As in the primary data, the researcher used the movie and the movie script and in the secondary data, the researcher used a related literature or research papers to support the study. The data were analyzed in four phases; data management, data reduction, data display, and verification. The findings revealed that the movie utilized all of the illocutionary acts as many as, 92 utterances comprises 4 are declarative, 13 are representative, 27 are expressive, 32 are directive, and 15 are commissive. The result also revealed that directive speech act to be the most dominant utterance spoken by the characters in the movie and declarative speech act to be the least utterance spoken.

Abstract

Salah satu isu sentral pembangunan yang berkembang dari waktu ke waktu adalah persoalan pengangguran terutama pengangguran dari kalangan terdidik. Program ini bertujuan untuk menciptakan dan mewujudkan mahasiswa untuk menjadi wirausahawan baru di masyarakat kalangan kampus dengan bersinergi bersama UMKM yang dijadikan mitra. Adapun UMKM yang dijadikan mitra pada program COOP ini sejumlah 6 UMKM; Berkah Jaya, Fisago Clothing, Studio sambal numani, Bombay, Tapis Wawai dan Bougenvile. Metode yang digunakan untuk mencapai tujuan adalah dengan seleksi peserta. Hasil seleksi peserta dilakukan pembekalan dan pelatihan tentang kewirausahaan, penugasan magang bagi peserta dan seleksi terakhir untuk menghasilkan unit usaha baru. Kegiatan Co-op ini dilakukan dalam beberapa tahapan. Tahapan pertama diawali dengan sosialisasi program Co-op, yaitu dengan pemberitahuan atau penguman adanya kegiatan kewirausahaan berupa seleksi pembentukan calon wira usaha baru melalui media cetak maupun maya. Tahap ke-2 berupa seleksi peserta untuk menjadi calon wirausaha, tahap ke-3 berupa pembekalan calon wirausaha tentang kewirausahaan, tahap ke-4 berupa pemagangan calon wirausaha pada UMKM mitra, tahap ke-5 berupa evaluasi pelaksanaan Co-op. Hasil akhir dari kegiatan ini adalah mahasiswa calon wirausaha mampu membuat unit usaha baru secara bersama.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Selama pandemic 2019-2022 jumlah kunjungan wisatawan baik domestic ataupun luar negeri menurun drastic. Selain itu pengembangan pariwisata membutuhkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat dalam bidang tersebut, seperti pemahaman bahasa Inggris, agar masyarakat khususnya pemuda yang dapat menjadi pemandu wisata bisa berinteraksi dengan wisatawan luar negeri dan mendapat keuntungan dari sektor tersebut. Mengingat daerah wisata Lampung barat merupakan daerah wisata yang masih sangat baru dan belum sepenuhnya terjamah pengelolaan baik. Masyarakat masih mengalami kesulitan dalam berkomunikasi berbahasa Inggris dengan para wisatawan luar negeri. Hal ini harus di tata karena cepat atau lambat, dunia pariwisata di kabupaten Lampung barat akan terus berkembang dan itu membutuhkan kesiapan baik dari Sumber daya manusianya dan juga sarana dan prasarana wisata yang terus dibangun. Mengingat destinasi wisata Lampung Barat khususnya Suoh yang memiliki keramikan dan air panas belum tereksplore dan terekspose dengan baik.  Kata Kunci: Bahasa Inggris, Keramikan,Lampung Barat,Suoh, Wisata ABSTRACTDuring the 2019-2022 pandemic, the number of domestic and foreign tourist visits decreased drastically. In addition, the development of tourism requires the knowledge and skills of the public in these fields, such as the understanding of English, so that the public, especially young people who can be tourist guides, can interact with foreign tourists and benefit from the sector. Given that the tourist area of the western Lampung is a very new and not fully managed tourism area. People still have difficulty in communicating in English with foreign tourists. This must be in order because sooner or later, the world of tourism in the western district of Lampung will continue to develop and it requires the preparation of both its human resources and also the facilities and tourist facilities that are continuously built. Given the tourist destinations of the Western Lampung, especially Suoh, which has water and hot water not yet explored and well exposed. Keywords: English, Keramikan, Suoh, Tourism, West Lampung.

Abstract

Reading comprehension is a key point for basic English. The aim of this study is to find out the suitable technique between NHT and CIRC techniques in teaching reading. The design of this research was experimental design with pre-test and post-test design. The research was conducted at the Class Management. The number of population was 160 students, therefore, cluster random sampling was used as technique sampling. The students in each of experimental and control groups consisted of 32 students that classified from heterogenic students level. The result of the average score in experimental group was 63.40 and control group was 57.84. It meant that the result of reading scores in experimental group was higher than in control group. In other words, NHT technique was more effective than CIRC technique toward students reading comprehension in descriptive text.

Abstract

Listening is an individual concentration on specific aspects of aural information, build context from passages, and connect what they hear to prior experience. Unfortunately, listening activities are rarely given to students. The problem is formulated as follow: “Is there any significant difference of using video podcast toward listening comprehension of students majoring in Multimedia at the first grade of SMK 4 Metro?”.The research design was quasi-experimental. The students Majoring in Multimedia at first grade SMK 4 Metro as population. To assess the students’ listening comprehension, the researcher used a written test. Based on the result, the significance score of 0.002 was smaller than t table 0.05, which meant that Ha was accepted and there was a significant difference between students who taught by using podcast and those who were not. As a result, podcasts became an enjoyable medium to use in teaching listening skill.

Abstract

Artikel ini menyajikan sebuah program pelatihan dan pendampingan bagi guru Bahasa Inggris di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) Kota Metro. Program ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam merancang dan melaksanakan pembelajaran yang berkualitas dan berdiferensiasi. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kombinasi antara gamification (unsur permainan) dan edutainment (pendidikan yang menghibur) untuk menciptakan proses pelatihan yang menarik, interaktif, dan efektif. Melalui serangkaian lokakarya, mentoring, dan praktik pembelajaran, guru-guru dibekali dengan pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam memanfaatkan teknologi digital, mengembangkan bahan ajar yang kontekstual, serta menerapkan strategi pembelajaran yang akomodatif terhadap keberagaman gaya belajar siswa. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam penguasaan materi, keterampilan pedagogis, serta kepercayaan diri guru dalam merancang dan melaksanakan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi. Program ini diharapkan dapat menjadi model bagi penguatan kompetensi guru di wilayah lain untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan secara berkelanjutan.
