Abstract

Abstract. This research aims to describe the effectivity of cooperative learning model from the type of Numbered Head Together (NHT) with the Auditory Intellectually Repetition (AIR) Approachment in mathematics instruction. Type of research is a pre-experiment. Population of the research is all of the tenth grade (class X) students of public senior high school (SMAN) 2 Bua Ponrang. The research sample was students of class X-1 selected through random sampling techniques. Research data were collected by using test and observation techniques. The results showed that (a) Cooperative learning model from NHT type with AIR approachment instruction has been well implemented, (b) students’ activity was in ideal category, (c) students' responses toward the instruction was tend to be positive, and (d) student’s achievements was classically mastered with normalized gain was in high category, 0.74. Keywords: Efektivitas, Cooperative Learning, NHT, Auditory Intellectually Repetition Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas model kooperatif tipe NHT (Numbered Head Together) dengan Pendekatan Auditory Intellectually Repetition (AIR) dalam Pembelajaran Matematika. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pre-eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 2 Bua Ponrang. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas X1 yang terpilih melalui teknik random sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan teknik tes dan pengamatan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (a) pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT dengan pendekatan Auditory Intellectually Repetition terlaksana dengan baik, (b) aktivitas siswa  berada dalam kategori ideal, (c) respons siswa terhadap pembelajaran cenderung positif, dan (d) hasil belajar siswa tuntas secara klasikal dengan gain ternormalisasi sebesar 0,74 yang berkategori tinggi.  Kata kunci: Efektivitas, pembelajaran kooperatif, NHT, Auditory Intellectually Repetition

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 23 Sinjai yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa yang berkemampuan awal tinggi, sedang dan rendah dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita pokok bahasan operasi hitung bentuk aljabar pada siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 23 Sinjai. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu tes kemampuan awal, tes kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan wawancara. Indikator berpikir kreatif yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kefasihan, fleksibilitas dan kebaruan. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 1 siswa yang berkemampuan awal tinggi, 1 siswa yang berkemampuan awal sedang, dan 1 siswa yang berkemampuan awal rendah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Subjek yang berkemampuan awal tinggi hanya mampu memenuhi 2 indikator berpikir kreatif yaitu kefasihan dan fleksibilitas, serta tidak mampu memenuhi indikator kebaruan. (2) Subjek yang berkemampuan awal sedang hanya mampu memenuhi 2 indikator berpikir kreatif yaitu kefasihan dan fleksibilitas, serta tidak mampu memenuhi indikator kebaruan. (3) Subjek yang berkemampuan awal rendah tidak mampu memenuhi semua indikator berpikir kreatif yaitu kefasihan, fleksibilitas dan kebaruan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the Effectiveness of the Cooperative Learning Model with Group Advisory Strategy in Mathematics Learning of the Grade VII SMP. This research is pre-experiment with techniques sampling is cluster random sampling. Data collection was carried out using observation sheets of implementation of learning, test results of learning (pretest and posttest), observation sheets of student activities, and student questionnaire responses. The data analysis technique used is descriptive and inferential statistical analysis. The results of descriptive statistical analysis showed: (1) The average score of learning outcomes after learning reaches 80.04 with standard deviation of 8.79, (2) the posttest results show that classical completeness is achieved 91% (3) The average percentage of student activity is 89% (4) the average percentage of students who gave positive response 89%. The results of inferential statistical analysis showed : (1) The average value of students taught using cooperative learning models with the Advisor Group Strategy is greater than completeness, which is 70, and (2) The proportion of classical completeness of learning outcomes after the application of the cooperative learning model with Group Advisors Strategy achieve classical completeness. From the results of this research it can be concluded that cooperative learning models with the Group Advisory Strategy are effectively used in students of grade VII.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui deskripsi kemampuan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika tipe Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) pokok bahasan Pola Bilangan pada kelas VIII A SMP Negeri 1 Sungguminasa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif yang dirancang untuk mengetahui deskripsi kemampuan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika tipe Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) pokok bahasan Pola Bilangan. Subjek yang dipilih pada penelitian ini berjumlah 3 siswa, teknik pemilihannya berdasarkan masing- masing 1 siswa dari kelompok siswa berkemampuan tinggi, 1 siswa dari kelompok berkemampuan sedang dan 1 siswa dari kelompok berkemampuan rendah. Pengelompokan siswa yaitu berdasarkan hasil tes soal tipe Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) yang telah diselesaikan siswa, maka 3 subjek terpilih kemudian diwawancarai untuk mengetahui kemampuan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika tipeHigher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) yang ditinjau dari tahapan pemecahan masalah langkah Polya.

Abstract

This study is a classroom action research wihch aims at improving investigation ability of mathematics on function derivation and describing the process of mathematics learning by providing Mathematics Project. The subject of the study was 40 students grade XI IPA 1 SMAN 2 Watampone of academic year 2011/2012. The improvement of mathematics investigation ability was measured by investigation ability indicators, namely (1) problem identification, (2) organization and collection of information/facts/Mathematics symbols, (3) building and implementation of planning and problem solving, (4) drawing conclution, (5) interpretation of the result of investigation, and (6) communicating the result of investigation. The study was conducted in two cycles by following the stages of classroom action research on each of the cycle consist of (1) the planning, explaining of the preparation based on the result of pre-action wich resulted on low investigation ability, (2) the action, the implementation from all of the planning of action constructed on the first stage, (3) the observation, observation during the action wich obtained quantitative data and qualitative data, and (4) the reflection, the stage to study and process the data obtained during the observation. The instrument of study used observation sheet and test of investigation ability of mathematics. The observation sheet was used to evaluate the implementation of learning process by giving Mathematics project assignment. Whereas, the test of investigation ability of Mathematics was used to evaluate the improvement of students‟ investigation ability. The results obtained after giving the project assignment are (1) on cycle I, the mean score of students‟ investigation ability after the learning is 57,05; (2) on cycle II, the result is 80,58. The observation sheet reveals that students have improvement on the activeness and ability in conducting investigation toward the project assignment proven by the achievement of indicators of investigation ability wich improved on each of cycle. The conclution based on the result of observation and test of investigation ability is there is adequately significant improvement ofmathematics investigation ability on each of the cycle.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of implementing an index card match type of active learning strategy in mathematics learning. This type of research is a pre-experimental study involving one class as an experimental class. This study refers to three criteria for the effectiveness of learning, namely student mathematics learning outcomes, student activity during the mathematics learning process and student responses to mathematics learning through active learning strategies type index card match. Data analysis using analysis descriptive and t-test with a significance level of α = 5%. The results showed that the average posttest score of students' mathematics learning outcomes through active learning strategies type index card match was 85.96 with a standard deviation of 6.37 with an ideal score of 100, from these results that 30 students or 93.75% had achieved completeness. individual and this means that classical completeness has been achieved, descriptively the normalized gain obtained is 0.69 (in the medium category) and inferential with a significance level of 5% is also said to be fulfilled, descriptively the classical completeness achieved is 93.75% greater than the specified criteria, namely 75%, inferential with a significance level of 5% is also declared fulfilled. The average percentage of student activity frequency for each indicator reaches the effective criteria, namely 81.73%. The student response questionnaire which shows that the student's response to the active learning strategy type index card match is 86.97%. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that the active learning strategy type index card match is effectively applied in mathematics learning in class VIII students of SMP Negeri 2 Sungguminasa, Gowa Regency. Abstract

Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian pengembangan dengan mengacu pada model pengembangan formatife research tessmer. Produk yang dikembangkan pada penelitian ini adalah instrumen tes yang terdiri dari kisi-kisi, soal tes HOTS, lembar kerja, kriteria jawaban, dan pedoman penskoran. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IX A SMP Negeri 5 Enrekang. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan lembar validasi. Lembar validasi ini bertujuan untuk menilai instrumen tes yang dikembangkan yang dilakukan oleh tiga validator. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualitas tes yang dikembangkan diantaranya (a) validitas 4,08 (tinggi); (b) reliabilitas 0,83 (sangat baik); (c) tingkat kesukaran pada soal nomor 2 yaitu 0,79 (mudah), soal nomor 1, 5, dan 6 yaitu 0,67; 0,65; 0,44 (sedang), soal nomor 3 dan 4 yaitu 0,27 dan 0,25 (sukar); sedangkan (d) daya pembeda pada soal nomor 3 dan 4 adalah 2,5 (cukup), soal nomor 1, 2, 6 yaitu 0,41; 0,33; dan 0,33 (baik), soal nomor 5 yaitu 0,5 (sangat baik). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, maka dapat disimpulkan instrumen tes HOTS pada materi statistika yang dikembangkan bagi siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 5 Enrekang sudah layak untuk digunakan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui deskripsi regulasi diri, efikasi diri, kemampuan berpikir kreatif, dan hasil belajar matematika; pengaruh langsung positif regulasi diri dan efikasi diri terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif; pengaruh langsung positif regulasi diri, efikasi diri, dan kemampuan berpikir kreatif terhadap hasil belajar matematika; serta pengaruh tidak langsung positif regulasi diri dan efikasi diri terhadap hasil belajar matematika melalui kemampuan berpikir kreatif. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas X MIA SMA Negeri di kecamatan Mengkendek kabupaten Tana Toraja. Dengan teknik cluster random sampling diperoleh sampel penelitian sebanyak 122 siswa yang berasal dari SMA Negeri di kecamatan Mengkendek kabupaten Tana Toraja. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan instrumen test dan angket, kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan statistika deskriptif dan analisis jalur (path analysis). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa regulasi diri dan efikasi diri siswa berada pada kategori sedang, sedangkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan hasil belajar matematika siswa masih tergolong rendah. Rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa dipengaruhi oleh regulasi diri dan efikasi diri, sedangkan rendahnya hasil belajar matematika siswa dipengaruhi oleh regulasi diri. Sementara itu, kemampuan berpikir kreatif tidak berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar matematika, sehingga regulasi diri dan efikasi diri juga tidak berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar matematika jika ditinjau dari kemampuan berpikir kreatif. Kata Kunci: Regulasi Diri, Efikasi Diri, Kemampuan Berpikir Kreatif, Hasil Belajar Matematika This research aims to find out the description of self-regulation, self-efficacy, creative thinking ability, and mathematics learning outcomes; direct positive effects of self-regulation and self-efficacy towards creative thinking ability; direct positive effects of self-regulation, self-efficacy, and creative thinking ability towards mathematics learning outcomes; and indirect positive effects of self-regulation and self-efficacy towards mathematics learning outcomes through creative thinking ability. The population of this study are students grade 10th MIA in Senior High School in Mengkendek, Tana Toraja. The sampling technique in this study was cluster random sampling, so the sample is 122 students from SMA Negeri in Senior High School in Mengkendek, Tana Toraja. The data was collected using questionnaire and test, then analyzed using descriptive statistics and path analysis. The results of the study show that self-regulation and self-efficacy of students are in the medium category, while the creative thinking ability and students' mathematics learning outcomes are still relatively low. The lack of creative thinking abilities are approved by self-regulation and self-efficacy, while the lack of students mathematics learning outcomes are approved by self-regulation. Meanwhile, the creative thinking ability has not effects towards mathematics learning outcomes, so self-regulation and self-efficacy also not have effects towards mathematics learning outcomes through creative thinking ability. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan suatu desain pembelajaran berbasis Hypotetical Learning Trajectory (HLT) pada materi operasi bilangan yang dapat membuat siswa kelas VII memahami materi operasi bilangan bulat dan menyelesaikan masalah yang berkaitan dengan operasi bilangan bulat.Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Design Research.Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII.Pada penelitian ini, peneliti membuat HLT sebagai dugaan awal dari aktivitas pembelajaran yang dilakukan dalam dua siklus uji coba hingga didapatkan desain pembelajaran yang diharapkan.Hasil analisis retrospektif menunjukkan desain pembelajaran yang disusun memberikan perubahan positif terhadap siswa kelas VII dalam memahami konsep operasi bilangan bulat.Dari hasil kerja beberapa kelompok diperoleh bahwa sebagian besar siswa telah mencapai tujuan pembelajaran yaitu memahami bilangan bulat, menentukan hasil penjumlahan bilangan bulat, menentukan hasil pengurangan bilangan bulat serta menyelesaikan masalah sehari-hari berkaitan dengan operasi bilangan bulat. Hasil kerja tersebut disertai dengan dugaan-dugan yang terjadi maupun tidak terjadi dalam proses pembelajaran pada (HLT).Kata Kunci:Design Research, Dugaan Lintasan Belajar, Operasi Bilangan Bulat.This research aims to produce a design-based Hypothetical Learning Trajectory (HLT) learning in the integer’s operations materials that can make class VII students understand the integer’s operations materials and resolve issues related to integer’s operations. The type of research used is Design Research. The subject of this study was a grade VII junior high students. In this research, researchers made HLT the earliest suspect of the learning activity carried out in two test cycles until the expected learning design was obtained. The results of a retrospective analysis showed that the design of learning was compiled to provide positive changes to class VII junior high students in understanding the concept of integer’s operations. From the work of several groups, the majority of students have achieved the learning objectives, namely understanding integers, determining the sum of integers, determining the reduction of integers and solve daily problems relating to integer’s operations. The work of students are accompanied by conjectures that occur or do not occur in the learning process that has been compiled in HLT.Keywords:Design Research, Hypothetical Learning Trajectory, Integer’s Operation

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif bertujuan mendeskripsikan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika berdasarkan tingkat kecerdasan logis matematis pada materi barisan dan deret. Subjek dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 32 siswa kelas XI. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode tes dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari ketiga tingkatan kecerdasan logis matematis, subjek penelitian memiliki kesamaan, dimulai pada tahap memahami masalah subjek mengungkapkan maksud soal dengan bahasa dan kalimat sendiri. Kemudian dalam menyusun rencana pemecahan masalah subjek membuat model matematika. Pada tahap melaksanakan rencana, subjek menentukan nilai-nilai variabel yang dibutuhkan untuk menemukan solusi dari masalah, dan di akhir proses pemecahan masalah subjek memeriksa kembali langkah-langkah yang digunakan dan hasil yang diperoleh. Selain itu, dari ketiga tingkatan kecerdasan logis matematis subjek penelitian memiliki perbedaan, yaitu pada tahap memahami masalah dimana informasi yang diungkapkan subjek KLMT lebih lengkap daripada subjek KLMS dan KLMR. Sementara itu, pada tahap melaksanakan rencana dalam menggunakan prosedur pemecahan masalah subjek KLMT lebih jelas dan tepat. Sedangkan, subjek KLMS dapat menyelesaikan rencana penyelesaiannya yang jawaban akhirnya benar, meskipun prosedur yang digunakan kurang tepat. Kemudian, subjek KLMR menghadapi kendala dalam menyelesaikan masalah karena prosedur yang digunakan tidak jelas. Kata Kunci: Kemampuan, Pemecahan masalah matematika, Langkah Polya, Kecerdasan logis matematis, Barisan dan deret. This research is a qualitative research with a descriptive approach that aimed to describe students' mathematical problem solving ability in terms the level of mathematical logical intelligence on sequence and series topic. The subjects in this research were 32 students of class XI MIA. The data collection techniques used in this research were the method of test and interview. The results of the research showed that of the three levels of mathematical logical intelligence, research subjects have similarities, starting at the step of understanding the problem subjects expressed the purpose of the problem with their own language and sentence. Then in devising a problem solving plan subjects make a mathematical model. At the step of carrying out the plan, the subjects determine the variable values needed to find a solution to the problem, and at the end of the problem solving process, subjects looking back the steps used and the results obtained. Meanwhile, from the three levels of mathematical logical intelligence, research subjects have differences, that are at the step of understanding the problem where the information revealed by the subject of KLMT is more complete than the subject of KLMS and KLMR. Meanwhile, at the step of carrying out the plan the subject of KLMT in using problem solving procedure more clear and precise. While, the subject of KLMS was able to complete the completion plan whose answer was finally correct, although the procedure used was incorrect. Then, the subject of KLMR faced an obstacle in solving problems because the procedure used was unclear.
