Abstract

This research is a kind of developmental research. The product of this research is a valid, practice, and effective mathematics learning package using open-ended approach in the topic of Linear Equation System with Two Variables. Specifically, the product comprehends of four components: Students’ book, Students’ worksheet, Lesson Plan, and Learning Outcome Test. The experiment was conducted in Grade VIII SMP Tanete Riaja in Barru. The results of the experiment are: (1) the developed mathematics learning package using open-ended approach is practice, however, as suggested by some observers, it could be improved still, then it can be more practice, (2) the developed mathematics learning package using open-ended approach is effective since it satisfies three of the four effectivity indicators. Based on the result of this research, it is suggested for those who will develop this research further to closely pay attention to the limitation of the research, so they can produce a better result. In addition, the kind of this development should be applied to other topics to make students interested, enjoy, and active in learning mathematics.

Abstract

This paper discusses students` anxiety and gender differences faced by male and female in the presentation. The main focus is to see the anxiety affected by gender differences in a presentation at the State University of Makassar conducted in 2016, the subjects of this research were the students` at Graduate Program who conduct seminar presentation from September to the last of December. The researcher used purposive sampling by taking two males and two female students as a participant to be observed. The instruments that the researcher used were Observation checklist, field notes, and interview. The result of the research shows the significance related anxiety and gender differences which male anxiety is affected by their thought while female anxiety is affected by their feeling in a seminar presentation.

Abstract

This research is qualitative research that aims to determine the Pedagogical Content Knowledge of prospective teacher students majoring in mathematics at the State University of Makassar. The research subjects consisted of 3 student-teacher candidates majoring in mathematics in the sixth semester. The subject-taking technique in this study amounted to three student teacher candidates majoring in mathematics with a cumulative achievement index of less than 3.00 and 3.01 - 3.50 and 3.51 - 4.00. The instruments in this study used CoRe, PaP-eRs, and Vignette. Data collection techniques in this study are observations based on PCK indicators and giving the Vignette test. The data analysis technique uses the Miles and Huberman model, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. Based on the results of the study, it shows that the pedagogical knowledge aspects of most of the points in CoRe are fulfilled. Then for the content knowledge aspect, the subject with an achievement index of 3.50 – 4.00 is at level 1, an achievement index of 3.00 – 3.50 is at level 0 and an achievement index of less than 3.00 is at level 2.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pedagogical Content Knowledge mahasiswa calon guru jurusan matematika FMIPA Universitas Negeri Makassar. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas 3 orang mahasiswa calon guru jurusan matematika semester enam. Teknik pengambilan subjek pada penelitian ini berjumlah tiga mahasiswa calon guru jurusan matematika dengan indeks prestasi kumulatif kurang dari 3,00 dan 3,01 - 3,50 serta 3,51 - 4,00. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini menggunakan CoRe, PaP-eRs, dan Vignette. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini yaitu observasi berdasarkan indicator PCK dan pemberian tes Vignette. Teknik analisis data menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman, yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aspek pedagogical knowledge sebagian besar poin pada CoRe terpenuhi. Kemudian untuk aspek content knowledge yang dimiliki oleh subjek dengan indeks prestasi 3.50 – 4.00 berada pada level 1, indeks prestasi 3.00 – 3.50 berada pada level 0 serta indeks prestasi yang kurang dari 3.00 berada pada level 2. Kata kunci: pengetahuan konten pedagogik, mahasiswa, matematika, calon guru.This research is a qualitative research that aims to determine the Pedagogical Content Knowledge of prospective teacher students majoring in mathematics at the State University of Makassar. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan literasi matematika siswa ditinjau dari perbedaan gender. Kajian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Terdapat enam subjek penelitian yang masing-masing mewakili kategori tinggi, sedang, dan rendah untuk siswa laki-laki dan siswa perempuan. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes tertulis dan pedoman wawancara. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini yaitu tes dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan, yaitu kondensasi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari 6 level kemampuan literasi matematika, subjek laki-laki dan subjek perempuan dengan kemampuan literasi matematis tinggi dan sedang berada pada level 3. Sementara itu, kemampuan literasi matematis subjek laki-laki dan subjek perempuan dengan kemampuan literasi matematis rendah berada pada level 1.Kata Kunci: Matematika, Literasi Matematika, PISA, GenderThis study aims to describe students' mathematical literacy skills in terms of gender differences. The results showed that of the 6 levels of mathematical literacy ability, male subjects and female subjects with high and moderate mathematical literacy skills were at level 3. The technique of taking the subject in this study amounted to three students with high, medium and low mathematical ability categories. The instrument in this study used tests and interviews. Data collection techniques in this study are giving tests and interviews. The data analysis technique uses the Miles and Huberman model, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. Based on the results of the study, it showed that students with low abilities made four types of errors, namely, comprehension errors, transformation errors, process skill errors. Students with moderate math skills make three types of errors, namely, transformation errors, process skill errors, and encoding errors, and students with high math skills make 2 types of errors, namely transformation errors and encoding errors.

Abstract

This research aims to find out the description of a student's mathematical communication skills in solving circle problems, judging from learning style. The type of research used is qualitative research with a descriptive approach.There are six research subjects namely, two visual learning style students, two auditorial learning style students, and two kinesthetic learning style students. The main instrument in this research is the researcher and supporting instruments used are written test instruments and interview guidelines. Data collection techniques in this study are tests and interviews. Data analysis techniques were used, namely data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that subjects with visual learning styles were able to meet all indicators of mathematical communication ability while subjects with auditory learning styles and kinesthetic learning styles were only able to meet 3 of 5 indicators of mathematical communication ability.

Abstract

Data processing using the Anaysis Toolspack is carried out in the form of training for junior high school teachers in Takalar district, in collaboration with the education and culture department of youth and sports in Takalar district. The training was attended by 34 teachers who were held in the office of the education and culture culture of the youth and sports district of Takalar. The purpose of this training is for skilled teachers to use statistical packages owned by Excel to process data and process data into one information. The results of the training show that the average ability of teachers to use statistics in the excel analysis toolspack package in processing and processing data after training is better than before training

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui kesalahan siswa. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas 3 orang siswa. Teknik pengambilan subjek pada penelitian ini berjumlah tiga siswa dengan kategori kemampuan matematika tinggi, sedang dan rendah.  Instrumen dalam penelitian ini menggunakan tes dan wawancara. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini yaitu pemberian tes dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman, yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa dengan kemampuan rendah melakukan empat tipe kesalahan yakni, kesalahan memahami (comprehension errors), kesalahan transformasi (transformation errors), kesalahan keterampilan proses (process skill errors). Siswa dengan kemampuan matematika sedang melakukan tiga tipe kesalahan yakni, kesalahan transformasi (transformation errors), kesalahan keterampilan proses (process skill errors), dan kesalahan penulisan jawaban (encoding errors) dan siswa dengan kemampuan matematika tinggi melakukan 2 tipe kesalahan yakni kesalahan transformasi (transformation errors) dan kesalahan penulisan jawaban (encoding errors).Kata kunci: Analisis Kesalahan, Analisis Kesalahan Newman, Kemampuan Matematika, StatistikaThis research is a qualitative research that aims to find out student errors. Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk menganalisis level kognitif siswa berdasarkan Taksonomi Bloom yang memiliki gaya belajar visual, audiotori, dan kinestetik pada kelas VIII SMP Negeri 4 Pallangga Kabupaten Gowa, tahun 2020/2021. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII.4 SMP Negeri 4 Pallangga Kabupaten Gowa dengan 3 orang subjek, yaitu 1 orang siswa dengan gaya belajar visual, 1 orang siswa dengan gaya belajar audiotori, dan 1 orang siswa dengan gaya belajar kinestetik. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah peneliti sendiri sebagai instrumen utama yang dibantu dengan angket/kuesioner gaya belajar, dan tes soal essay serta wawancara yang didesain berdasarkan level kognitif berdasarkan indikator Taksonomi Bloom. Tahapan analisis data dalam penelitian ini yaitu analisis data skala gaya belajar dan alalisis data level kognitif siswa materi ajar SPLDV dengan menggunakan kondensasi data, penyajian data dan menarik kesimpulan. Adapun hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Siswa dengan gaya belajar visual memenuhi indikator C1-C4 karena mampu mengingat, memahami, mengamplikasikan, dan menganalisis; (2) Siswa dengan gaya belajar audiotori memenuhi indikator C1-C4 karena mampu mengingat, memahami, dan mengamplikasikan, dan menganalisis; serta (3) Siswa dengan gaya belajar kinestetik memenuhi indikator C1-C4 karena mampu mengingat, memahami, mengaplikasikan, dan menganalisis. Oleh karena itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa siswa dengan gaya belajar visual, audiotori, dan kinestetik High Order Thinking Skill pada level kognitif berdasarkan Taksonomi Bloom. Kata Kunci: Taksonomi Bloom, Visual, Audiotori, Kinestetik, SPLDV
