Abstract

This study examines the influence of Perceived Usefulness, Expert Involvement, and Playfulness in B2B short video marketing content on Lead Generation, moderated by Brand Awareness. Data from 200 B2B professional respondents were analyzed using PLS-SEM with SmartPLS. Results indicate that all three content characteristics positively and significantly impact Lead Generation. Brand Awareness positively moderates the relationship between Expert Involvement and Lead Generation. Uniquely, Brand Awareness negatively moderates the relationship between Playfulness and Lead Generation, suggesting that for well-known B2B brands, excessive playfulness can be counterproductive. Managerial implications advise prioritizing usefulness and expert involvement, and adapting playfulness based on Brand Awareness levels.

Abstract

Employee engagement is an important factor in improving performance and effectiveness within public sector organizations. However, employees’ level of engagement is often influenced by the quality of internal communication, leadership practices, and organizational culture. This study examines the effects of internal communication service quality and transformational leadership on employee engagement, with organizational culture serving as a moderating variable among civil servants in Timor Leste. A quantitative survey approach was employed involving 250 respondents selected through proportional random sampling. Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling. The findings indicate that internal communication service quality and transformational leadership have positive effects on employee engagement. Organizational culture was also found to strengthen the relationship between these variables and employee engagement. The study highlights the importance of effective communication, transformational leadership, and a supportive organizational culture in fostering higher employee engagement in public sector institutions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of digital and conventional marketing strategies on customer loyalty through customer satisfaction as a mediating variable using the Stimulus–Organism–Response (SOR) approach in the private sector in Timor-Leste. A quantitative approach with a cross-sectional survey design was employed. Data were collected from 200 respondents who had transactions with private companies. Data analysis was conducted using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4. The results show that both digital and conventional marketing have a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction, and customer satisfaction significantly influences customer loyalty. In addition, customer satisfaction fully mediates the relationship between marketing strategies and customer loyalty. These findings indicate that loyalty is formed through satisfaction as a psychological response to marketing stimuli.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of human resource competence and the implementation of accounting standards on the quality of financial statements and to investigate the moderating role of information technology. A quantitative survey approach was employed involving 228 respondents. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS 3. The findings indicate that human resource competence and the implementation of accounting standards have positive and significant effects on the quality of financial statements. Both variables also positively influence information technology, while information technology has a significant positive effect on financial statement quality. However, information technology does not significantly moderate the relationship between the implementation of accounting standards and financial statement quality. These findings suggest that improving financial statement quality is primarily driven by competent human resources, proper implementation of accounting standards, and the direct utilization of information technology rather than by its moderating effect.

Abstract

Abstract

This study examines the effect of financial literacy and accounting understanding on the financial reporting quality of Micro, Small, and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) in Yogyakarta, with financial management as a mediating variable. MSMEs play a strategic role in Indonesia's economy, yet many still face challenges in producing quality financial reports. Drawing on the Resource-Based View extended with the dynamic capabilities perspective, this study proposes that cognitive resources such as financial literacy and technical resources such as accounting understanding require operational capabilities in the form of financial management to translate into quality reporting outputs. A quantitative approach was employed through structured questionnaires distributed to 100 MSME actors in Yogyakarta, selected using purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) via SmartPLS. The results indicate that financial literacy positively affects both financial reporting quality (β = 0.302; p = 0.004) and financial management (β = 0.354; p = 0.000). Accounting understanding significantly affects financial management (β = 0.518; p = 0.000) but does not directly affect financial reporting quality (β = -0.070; p = 0.555). Financial management is the strongest predictor of reporting quality (β = 0.616; p = 0.000). Mediation analysis reveals complementary (partial) mediation for financial literacy and indirect-only (full) mediation for accounting understanding. These findings confirm financial management as the pivotal mechanism translating cognitive resources into quality reporting outputs, providing implications for MSME empowerment programs that should integrate conceptual training with operational financial management practices.

Abstract

This study examines the relationship between cost structure, liquidity, leverage, profitability, and financial distress in textile and garment companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The main focus of the study is directed at two things: assessing the direct influence of cost structure, liquidity, and leverage on financial distress, and examining whether profitability can explain the indirect influence pathways of these financial variables. The study uses a quantitative approach with secondary data sourced from the companies' annual financial reports for the period 2019-2023. Testing is conducted through panel data regression and path analysis, while company size is used as a control variable to ensure that model estimation is not solely influenced by differences in business scale. Conceptually, a rigid cost structure and high leverage are expected to increase financial distress, while liquidity and profitability are expected to weaken the likelihood of financial distress. This study is expected to contribute to the financial distress literature by positioning profitability as a mediating mechanism, particularly in the context of the Indonesian textile industry facing cost pressures, import competition, and weakening financial performance. From a practical perspective, this model can be used as a basis for initial evaluation for management in controlling financial risk through cost efficiency, strengthening cash flow, debt management, and increasing profit-generating ability.
