Abstract

Security is one of the important aspects in a system or environment. Residential, office, tourist and industrial areas are places that are prone to fires because they contain flammable objects. Slow handling when a gas leak occurs can trigger a fire. The solution that can be used to minimize the occurrence of fires is to build tools that work to monitor the condition of the room or environment that is prone to leakage of gas or other flammable liquids. The design and manufacture of a system to detect LPG and alcohol gas leaks can be useful for providing information in the event of a gas or alcohol leak so that it can be handled quickly and minimize fire damage. This system combines an plume detection system with an internet of things system so that it can provide information when a gas or flammable liquid leak occurs. The gas leak information is sent as a notification to the telegram from the operator. The design and manufacture of this system uses the Waterfall methodology with the following stages: analyzing (covering the need for system creation), system design (including designing electronic circuits and web monitoring interfaces), implementing system design and testing the system as a whole. The result of this research is that an electronic detection system has been successfully built that can distinguish gases and can provide information via telegram and web if gas is detected in the sensor environment. In the LPG gas leak test, the results show that the characteristics of LPG gas, namely the sensor output voltage, have an average of 4.17 volts with an average Part Per Million (PPM) of 8340 and the characteristics of alcohol gas, namely the sensor output voltage, have an average of 0, 13 volts with an average Part Per Million (PPM) of 254.

Abstract

Honey has many benefits. Thus, honey counterfeiting often occurs with the ever-increasing demand. However, many do not know how to distinguish between real and fake honey, even honey breeders and hunters find it difficult to tell the difference. The honey used to test the quality of honey is honey produced by Apis dorsata bees or wild bees, the nectar consumed by these bees is the kesambi tree, the kesambi tree that grows a lot on the slopes of Mount Tambora, Bima district. Honey contains a lot of antioxidants such as vitamin C, pinocembrin, chrysin, pinobaksin, catalase, and many other ingredients that are very beneficial for the health of the body. Testing the authenticity of honey using two sensors, namely a gas sensor and a color sensor, the tool has been connected to a database and web application to display test data. The web application can be accessed from any location as long as it is connected to the internet network. The results of the research are the ideal distance for measurements is carried out as far as 2 cm. The success rate in testing pure honey with a mixture of honey has different values, such as the value of pure honey has a gas sensor voltage of 3.3 volts while the value of mixed honey with 50% pure honey and 50% sugar, the value of the gas sensor voltage is 2.54 volts. Mixed honey has a voltage below 3 volts. The results of the color sensor test, namely the sensor output have different values, the RGB value for pure honey is red 206, green 246, and blue 182 while the RGB value for mixed honey is for 20% pure honey and 80% sugar mixture produces an RGB value of Red 156, Green 210, Blue 171. The color sensor can distinguish between real honey and mixed honey for trigona honey.

Abstract

Students with disabilities are special students who have equal opportunities to be independent and able to develop themselves. Through learning and increasing creativity and innovation, students with disabilities will be able to compete and contribute to progress and development of self-ability in the community environment. The rapid development of technology requires children to learn from an early age. The first step to foster children's interest in learning about technology is to create technology-based learning media. Therefore community service is carried out with the aim that students with disabilities can learn about technology and can create a work that is used as a medium for learning about technology. The PkM method used is the experimental method. The result of the PkM that has been implemented is that students can enthusiastically learn about technology such as making led circuits and water pump circuits. Six deaf students were able to successfully make LED circuits and water pump circuits for a miniature garden.

Abstract

Population growth is increasing every year. Population growth causes an increase in population density in a country. The largest population density is in urban areas. Fires in a city with a high population density will potentially cause greater damage. Material and non-material losses due to fire can be caused by not functioning maximally early warning systems, especially fire detection. In addition, other factors, such as system errors in detecting fires, can potentially cause fires. This research aims to build an intelligent system that can minimize building fire detection errors to reduce user material losses. The intelligent system can classify fire potential into four classifications, namely ”very dangerous,” ”dangerous,” ”alert,” and ”safe.” The method used in this research is Research and Development (R&D) with artificial intelligence using the Na¨ıve Bayes method, which has been integrated with the Internet of Things (IoT). This research shows that the Na¨ıve Bayes algorithm can be used to classify fire potential, proven by the overall system testing accuracy of 93.33% with an error of 6.77%.

Abstract

Voice is one of the biometrics that humans have. Humans can be recognized by the sounds produced by their vocal cords and vocal tracts. One of the uses of voice is to recognize gender. Despite extensive research, gender recognition using machine learning remains unsatisfactory due to the complexity of voice features and the limitations of conventional algorithms. In this research, voice-based gender recognition is performed by applying deep learning. The deep learning model used is the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN). The input of CNN is the result of feature extraction from the Mel-Frequency Cepstral Coefficients (MFCC) method. MFCC produces Mel-Spectograms which are important features of sound. The dataset used is Indonesian speech. In the research, there are imbalanced and balanced dataset scenarios to see the performance of the model. To produce a balanced dataset, random undersampling is performed on the majority class. In addition, the effect of dividing training and testing data with a composition of 70:30, 80:20, and 90:10 was observed. The results show that the model has 100% accuracy for all imbalanced dataset scenarios. Then the highest accuracy is 99.65% for the balanced dataset scenario with 70:30 splitting. In summary, it can be concluded that CNN performs very well in identifying gender from voice features overall, although its performance decreases when random undersampling is applied to the dataset.

Abstract

Driving at high speed and recklessly is the main cause of traffic accidents. In several places speed bumps are installed as a medium to warn drivers to slow down the speed of the vehicle, but the installation of speed bumps in several places has become a problem in itself with inconvenience for drivers traveling at low speeds, so it is necessary to develop an intelligent system to warn drivers when speeding. vehicles break safety boundaries, making drivers safer and more comfortable. At the vehicle identification stage, a combination of the Adaptive Background Subtraction method with the Haar Cascade Classifier is proposed, and vehicle speed estimation is carried out by calculating the time difference in the detection area or Region of Interest (ROI). Testing was carried out using traffic videos with three conditions, namely day, evening and night, with each condition using the same object data, namely 55 images of car objects. The proposed method produces car detection accuracy with an average of 85% and MSE 0.5 in vehicle speed measurements.

Abstract

Red Onions are agricultural commodities that are a source of income for farmers and can make a major contribution to Indonesia's economic development. The characteristic of the onion plant is that it requires a lot of sunlight. The sunlight needed for photosynthesis is 70% with an ambient temperature range of 25oC-32oC and soil moisture in the range of 50%-70%. Although red onions require a lot of water, these plants are sensitive to high-intensity rainfall. The critical period of the red onion plants is in the tuber formation phase so it is necessary to control it to get maximum production results. The method of making the smart farming system uses the Research and Development (R&D) method while sending data online to the web uses the Internet of Things (IoT) method. The result of this research is that a monitoring and control system for temperature and humidity has been successfully built on red onion plants. The system built is capable of measuring temperature with an accuracy rate of 95.33% and environmental humidity in plants reaching 92.07% while the accuracy of testing the entire system reaches 93.33%. The smart farming system has been able to automatically irrigate and apply fertilizer. Control of irrigation and application of fertilizers by the system has implications for better shallot growth and creates modern agriculture.
