Abstract

Network modeling is a way that must be learned by anyone who wants to build a network, either from the type of topology, or software that will be used. In designing a computer network based on Virtual Private Network (VPN), a networker's must have techniques or methods that are network management, so that the network can be made according to need. Network management recommended by Cisco is the Cisco Lifecycle Service Approach (CLSA) method, which manages the network until the redesign stages without changing the direction of the project's objectives. The purpose of making VPN network modeling is to see the effect of topology differences, multimedia traffic and the number of users. The design uses GNS3 v2.0.3 and VirtualBox software, where GNS3 allows complex network simulations, because it uses the original operating system from a network device such as cisco so that the computer can function like a router or even a switch. In designing this network the measuring value to be in use is throughput, delay, packet loss and jitter. Scenario testing using star topology, then do 3 multimedia traffic conditions and use the condition 1 client and 2 client. From star topology test with 3 multimedia traffic, the average delay obtained at 1 client is 34,53 ms and at 2 client equal to 57,76 ms, the average jitter obtained at 1 client is 75,2 ms and at 2 client of 114.5 ms, where the delay result <150 ms (millisecond) is categorized good according to ITU-T G.107 10 06/2015. While the average throughput obtained at 1 client of 0.150 Mbits/sec and at 2 clients of 0.283 Mbits/sec, the results obtained are categorized fairly well according to ITU-T X.135 08/97 with a good categorization of 0.628 Mbits/sec. For packet loss obtained at 0%, where the packet loss < 1% is categorized good according to ITU-T G.1010 11/2001.Keyword : VPN, QoS, CLSA, GNS3 v2.0.3, VirtualBox

Abstract

Long Term Evolution Advanced (LTE) is a communication standard of access based on GSM / EDGE and UMTS / HSPA networks. One of the advantages of LTE is that it offers high data transfer speeds if compared to previous Network Technology. Nowadays, Network Technology entered the Industrial 4.0 where as the system covers physical cyber, internet for everything, cloud computing and cognitive computing all things cause all activities are influenced by networks. However, the allocation of LTE development in Indonesia is not yet widespread, especially in small areas such as Indragiri Hulu Regency. The LTE network in Indragiri Hulu Regency is still categorized as not optimal based on network analysis using a Network Tracking Application, was called Nperf. Therefore this paper aims to design an LTE FDD network in Indragiri Hulu District using Software Radio Planning Atoll with frequency of 1800 MHz. This study uses two scenarios, namely with a bandwidth of 5 MHz and 10 MHz. Then the scenario will be analyzed by comparing the optimal data output. The parameter test results show that the Coverage by Signal Level in the 10 MHz scenario is superior at 99.32% with the signal value > -80 dBm it is categorized very good on the Shapefile (SHP) produce in the 5 MHz scenario the result value is 98.84% on the Shapefile (SHP) map caused by the parameters used on the otherside different wider radius value for each cell. It causes interference. The comparison of Monte Carlo simulation between 5 MHz and 10 MHz bandwidth at 1800 MHz frequency that the 10 MHz bandwidth of users connected to the network is more effective with a value of 96.325% than the 5 MHz bandwidth of 94.95%. It can be concluded that the scenario of using 10 MHz bandwidth is more optimal used in the construction of LTE with a frequency of 1800 MHz.Keyword : LTE, Software Radio Planning Atoll, Signal Level, Bandwidth, Monte Carlo Method.

Abstract

Biometrics is an automatic method of getting to know someone based on physical characteristics such as iris, fingerprints, palms and other organs. The palm is one of the human organs that is commonly used as identification because it is unique. The palms also can’t change for decades, so they can be used in identification systems. In this study the application of palm-based identification systems will be designed using 2 PCA (Principal Component Analysis) and Back Propagation Neural Network (BPNN) methods. The principle method of PCA aims to simplify the variables to be observed by reducing the size of the dimensions. Furthermore, the Back Propagation Neural Network (BPNN) method is one of the machine learning methods that is suitable for qualitative data analysis (binary data). This BPNN is used to obtain high accuracy from the results of the analysis. This study using Matlab R2016a software for making palm recognition system applications. Abstract

Process of sending and receiving data is often a problem in telecommunications networks. Some problems such as the process of sending and receiving data require a long time, thus affecting the quality of services provided. One factor that causes service quality to be less good is the use of routing protocols. The routing protocol used has not yet supported the process of delivering highspeed packets. This study uses a Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) based backbone network and the Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP) protocol as a packet delivery technology on high-speed backbone networks, MPLS combines several advantages of circuit-switched and packet-switched communication systems that make technology better. The software used is Graphical Network Simulator (GNS3) as a tool to design and simulate MPLS-based backbone networks at PT. Chevron Pacific Indonesia. The result shows MPLS delay from testing the data packet delivery in the form of video streaming is 31.49 ms smaller than the result of testing Non-MPLS delay which is 60.24 ms. In conclusion, MPLS can be implemented in the PT Chevron Pacific Indonesia network because the delay value obtained is smaller than the ITU standard of 150 ms. Keywords: Backbone, MPLS,EIGRP, Delay.

Abstract

To be able to make informed decisions regarding school policy, one of them is to determine the prediction of the number of students receiving on new academic school year. Prediction is one of the keys to success of decision making because the value of predictions of new students can be used as a reference to determine a decision. The Single Exponential Smoothing method is used to determine the predictions of student acceptance in the period of the next school year. Exponential Smoothing method is a fairly good forecasting method for long-term and medium-term forecasting. The main advantage of the Exponential Smoothing method is that it is seen from the ease of operation that is relatively low, there is little doubt whether better accuracy can always be achieved using (QS) Quantitative systems or deconposition methods that are intuitively interesting. Data to be processed is the number of student admissions for the period 1999/2000 to 2018/2019 and presented in the data for the academic year. The results obtained from this study are the results of analysis of a single exponential method to obtain information on predictions of new student admissions and the level of accuracy with MAPE.Keywords: prediction, forecasting, Single Exponential Smoothing, quantitatif.
