Abstract

Currently, technological advances are in line with advances in science, so there are many variations that are created for the benefit of human life. Therefore, many problems can be solved by utilizing modern technology, one of which is in agriculture. Watering plants is still mostly done manually and people have difficulty maintaining these plants. Due to the busyness of people's work, it’s difficult to divide the time which makes the plants uncontrollable, so that the plants aren’t well maintained. Utilization of IoT makes daily work easier, especially technology that is practical and efficient. IoT makes devices able to communicate such as sending and receiving data. For this reason, the design and manufacture of an Internet of Things (IoT)-based automatic plant watering control device is carried out. This study designed an automatic watering device consisting of ESP8266, soil moisture sensor and DHT11, where the working system of this tool includes automatic watering of plants based on the water content in the soil, and notifications will be sent to the telegram application. The design of this system will be divided into into three stages, namely, hardware design, software, and use case diagrams. Based on the design results, this automatic plant watering device works successfully by detecting room temperature and reading soil moisture levels. With this tool, it’s hoped that plant owners will get data and values for controlling soil temperature and humidity in accordance with leek plants and become an alternative solution for plant owners in maintaining their plants. The system designed has been able to monitor plant watering, as well as send notifications to users in the form of information about the state of room temperature and soil moisture in plants through the telegram application.Keywords : Internet of Things, Soil Moisture Sensor, DHT11. Abstract

Intellegent Transportation System (ITS) is a system for solving transportation problems that offers safety, efficiency, and comfort in traffic. Implementation of Vehicular Ad Hoc Network (VANET) that is part of a development of ITS. VANET can be a new innovation in the world of technology that allows to communicate vehicle between vehicle and vehicles with infrastructure. VANET has high node mobility and a routing protocol is required to support VANET communications. In this paper, one of the protocols used are position based routing protocols is Greedy Perimeter Stateless Protocols (GPSR). Density of vehicles in Pekanbaru city make the main problem for implementing VANET communication. VANET communications will result of Packet Delivery Ratio (PDR), end to end delay and routing overhead. In this research, scenario used are 50 node scenario and speed scenario at 10 m/s. The simulation result of VANET with GPSR routing protocol based position shows PDR, end to end delay and data routing value are 99.4860%; 0.0057 seconds dan 6756 packet.Keyword :Intellegent Transportation System, Vehicular ad hoc Network, Greedy Perimeter Stateless Routing

Abstract

Placement of an access point using a Wi-Fi network is necessary to get the desired signal strength, especially from the receiver side. Access Point or transmitter as the signal sender is very important because the signal strength value is a parameter used to determine the coverage area (signal range) of the access point (transmitter). This research discusses the placement of access points in the Faculty of Engineering, University of Riau. In this case, 10 samples of Received Signal Strength Indication (RSSI) in dBm are processed to get the placement optimalization using Simulated Annealing Method with INSSIDER 4 Application. Propagation Line of Sight (LOS) is used to get distance between transmitter and receiver in meters. Signal strength does not only depend on the transmitter and receiver but also from the number of interference the research, it causes the decrease in the signal received by the receiver. Obtained coverage area after optimization 65.233% in the Faculty of Engineering, University of Riau. From the result, hoped this research can be used well to optimize access point placement on Wi-Fi networks using Simulated Annealing Method in the Faculty of Engineering, University of Riau. Abstract

The development of information technology has ampact on changes in human life. One of them is Cloud Computing technology. Cloud Computing is computing model that it giveaway saat toaccess services by offering resources suci as hardware, software, and data storage as user guidance services. SMPN 1 Karimun is one of the Junior High Schools in Karimun Regency,still uses conventional storage namely computer storage or tiger storages. So, the ampun of data cause a lack of effeciency and effectiveness in accessing data. As a technology like cloudcomputing. Cloud computing has function as a server for digital-based storage, renew using cloud computing can storage performance in SMPN 1 Karimun to knot it any attack of DoS ( Denial of Service ). The research methodology is to design a cloud computing system by testings function in the application with the quality of existing network. The average value of throughput without DoS attack is 21,21 Mbit/s, the average throughtput value two PCs using DoS attack is18,76 Mbit/s while four PCs is 17,21 Mbit/s. Avarage result of packet loss without DoS attack is 0,046 %, the average of packet loss value using two PCs DoS attack is 0,082 % while using fourPCs is 0,104 %. Average result of delay value without DoS attack is 0,000354 ms, the average delay value using two PCs is 0,000475 ms while using while four PCs is 0,000517 ms.Keywords: Cloud Computing, DoS (Denial of Service), QoS (Quality of Service), SMPN 1 Karimun

Abstract

Laying out a good Wi-fi System requires optimizing the power level which is received from the transmitter to the receiver. The most influential value in determining the performance of the Wi-fi system is the value of the power level, because this value used to determine the coverage area of a transmitter (access point). Using genetic algorithms due to the existence of various references and as suitable algorithm for problems related to optimization. This algorithm can find the best solution from various possible solutions quickly and efficiently compared to other algorithms. Research conducted optimization by comparing the results of optimization with the existing conditions. The purpose of optimization is to arrange access point to produce efficient signal coverage and strength. The research location is on the 6th and 10th floor of the PT. Telkom Witel Rider Building. In the 6th floor there are 13 access points with the coverage area increasing to 59.2% with the signal strength being at -70 dBm to -75 dBm. This research is conducted to find out the ideal position and number of access points. The total access points needed are 13 pieces with a coverage area of 59.2%, and the signal strength value being -70 dBm to -75 dBm. Abstract

Riau University hospital is an educational infrastructure institution and health institution in collaboration with Riau University. Most of the patients treated at Riau University hospital are people from the riau university community such as campus staff, lecturers and students. Outside communities that are not from the community of UNRI campus have a small percentage to treat in hospitals Riau University. Another problem, for patients who are located far from the hospital of Riau University will have difficulty because patients who want to seek treatment at the University of Riau hospital and conduct consultations with the desired doctor can not know the schedule of the doctor on duty, so the patient must go to the hospital first to find out the schedule of the doctor's duties on the day. Therefore, a consultation application is needed that can help solve the problems described. This research uses waterfall method to help the process of making consulting application. The data collection is obtained by interview method and observation directly to the field. The consulting application was created using Android Studio with the Java programming language and eXtensible Markup Language (XML), as well as Firebase as a database. Application testing uses the User Acceptance Test (UAT) method to see the results of application creation based on user ratings. Based on the results and tests carried out, obtained an android-based UNRI hospital consultation application. This consultation application can be used by patients to view schedules and consult online with doctors working in UNRI hospitals. Abstract

The development of telecommunications today make the need for communication of data quickly and efficiently is also one of his company besar.IPv4 scale to support 32-bit addressing and developed IPv6 supports up to 128 -bit addressing and also developed a routing protocol that works padaIPv6.Routing protocol always to update the routing table, with the use of IPv6 has a huge addressing whether the effect on the quality ofnetwork.Skripsi is structured to determine the Quality of Service of the Routing Information Protocol version 1 , Routing Information Protocol version 2 , and Routing Information Protocol next-generation data networks PT . Pertamina RU II Dumai . Performed using the general network simulator 3 software and software wireshark . Analysis of the results of the design using three perangka trouter counted Quality Of Service obtained the value of total delay RIPv2 routing smaller average 11.2 % of the RIPv1 routing . While smaller RIPng routing of routing RIPv2 19.4 % and 28.5 % smaller than the total packet routing RIPv1.Nilai lossrouting smaller RIPv2 routing RIPv1.Sedangkan 15.9 % from 5.2% RIPng smaller than RIPv2 routing and 20.3 % smaller than RIPv1 routing. The total value of RIPv2 routing throughput greater than routing RIPv1 43.6 % and 63.9 % greater than the total value RIPng.Sedangkan routing throughput greater routing RIPv1 routing RIPng.Dengan 35.9 % compared to the use of six devices total RIPng router routing delay average , total packet loss , and total troghput small compared to most other routing .Keywords: Routing RIPv1, RIPv2, RIPng, IPv4, IPv6, QOS,GNS 3

Abstract

The Genetic Algorithm is chosen because according to various references, it is considered a suitable algorithm for optimization related problems. This algorithm can find the best solution of various possible solutions quickly and efficiently than any other algorithm. This research will be doing optimization, by comparing the optimization result with the existing conditions. The purpose of optimization is to rearrange the access point position in order to generate efficient coverage and signal strength. Selected research location is on 1st floor of C building Engineering Faculty, University Riau. From existing condition on the 1st floor there are 5 access points with coverage area value of 29.71%, after optimization the coverage area value increased to 50.21% with signal strength between -75 dBm to -70 dBm.Keyword : Access Point, Genetic Algorithm, Coverage Area, WI-FI, Signal Strength.

Abstract

Riau University (UNRI) Library currently uses 802.11ac Wireless Fidelity (Wi-Fi) network. Even though users have used an 802.11ac Wi-Fi network, there are still problems that are often felt by users when accessing the internet such as slow connections, frequent disconnections, and difficulty connecting devices to the Wi-Fi network. Based on these problems, it is necessary to measure the performance of the Wi-Fi network at the UNRI library. Measurements were made during dense traffic using Wireshark and nperf software. The measurement parameters are throughput, packet loss, delay, and jitter. The measurement results show that the throughput and packet loss values of the 802.11AC Wi-Fi network at the UNRI library are still in the good category, with an average value of 1.935 Mbit/s, and packet loss <3 ms. However, the measured delay and jitter values are quite large, with an average delay value of 355 ms and jitter of 848.56 ms.Keywords:Wi-Fi, Throughput, Packet Loss, Delay, Jitter, Access Point, Wireshark

Abstract

LTE is a cellular technology developed by 3GPP which has improved from the previous mobile technologies. The implementation of LTE in Indonesia is still not evenly distributed and only for big cities. Hence, it takes some planning and a deeper study for the area that will be implemented by LTE network. Planning and network optimization is necessary in order to meet consumer needs of the LTE network. There are different ways of optimization methods can be used, in previous studies used a joint base station technique, optimization in other research done by changing basic parameters such as replacing the feeder cable and the addition site. In this study optimization techniques used by changing the type of modulation thus affecting the utilization values of SNR. The simulation results based on two scenarios i.e the number of sites for scenario 1in the total of 479 sites, while for scenario 2 indicates number of sites . in the mean time for a signal level coverage for scenario 1 and scenario 2 show -90 dBm and -95 dBm, respectively.Keywords : LTE, Optimization, Modulation, SINR.
