Abstract

VANET is a subset concept of Mobile Ad-Hoc Network (MANET) where the vehicle acts as a node on the network. The basic purpose of VANET is to support communication between vehicles so that it can be used as an intelligent traffic information traffic system. This communication can be done directly between vehicles (Vehicle to Vehicle) or with the infrastructure to communicate. High node mobility is a basic VANET characteristic that causes rapid changes in network topology. This necessarily requires the implementation of a routing protocol that matches its characteristics within the network. In this study to support the performance of VANET communication is used topology-based routing Ad hoc On-Demand Distance Vector (AODV). AODV is one of the reactive routing protocols in VANET. The AODV protocol will be simulated using Network Simulator-2 (NS-2) by multiplying the number of nodes scenario that runs on the real map. This scenario will be analyzed and reviewed from the parameters of Packet Delivery Ratio, End to End Delay and Routing Overhead. The simulation results obtained on each parameter are 99.20%; 0.0138 seconds; 19076 packet.Keywords: AODV, VANET, SUMO, NS-2, 802.11p

Abstract

Since the inauguration of Regulation the Republic of Indonesia's Minister of Health No. 82 in 2013 concerning Hospital Management Information Systems obligates UNRI Hospital has a system that handles patient registration in the form of an information system. However, since its inauguration in 2013, UNRI hospital has used the Hospital Management Information System (SIMRS) which has been implemented since 2017. UNRI hospital still use conventional methods for patient registration and consultation. Prospective patients must fill in forms and submit equipment documents such as a photocopy of UNRI civitas identity card (for UNRI civitas) and Identity Card (KTP) and to register as a patient before consulting. This research uses Waterfall method in addition to being easily understood this method also has sequential stages so that there are no overlapping stages.. While the system design uses Context Diagrams, Data Flow Diagrams, and Use Case Diagrams. The database used is MySQL with notification feature from Firebase. There are two applications built, namely Website and Android. Website outputs are tested using the Black-Box and Android applications are tested using User Acceptance Likert Scale. Results of the Black-Box test are UNRI Hospital patient registration Websites with criteria such as display menu on the main page, print button on the patient registration page, add button on the notification page, etc. Results of User Acceptance testing on Android bassed on 33 questioner from 30 respondents has produced 87,12% Likert scale results. Abstract

Today, technology is experiencing rapid development after arriving in the Internet of Things (IoT) era. The Internet of Things concept is to connect physical devices to the internet so that the components connected in the system can communicate with each other. The application of the Internet of Things in agriculture is no exception, especially soil conditions for crops. IoTsoil moisture monitoring design uses an ESP8266 device, a capacitive soil moisture sensor, and Blynk. ESP8266 as a data processing component, humidity sensor to detect soil conditions, and the Blynk application to send notifications and monitor soil conditions. The results of the research on the Blynk application are effective for monitoring soil conditions in real-time.Keyword: Monitoring,Internet of Things, Blynk

Abstract

One of traditional foods of Indonesian people is tempe. Tempe is made from fermented soybeans with Rhizopus Oligosporus mold. In its production, producers’ tempe often fail. One of them is Harber Tempe Factory, located in Pelita Street, Pekanbaru City. Beside weather factors, there are no supporting tools for temperature and humidity detection at the factory, also become obstacles in fermentation process of tempe. Producers’ tempe do not know exactly how much temperature and humidity must be maintained for fermentation process. Manufacturers only can estimate temperature and humidity in fermentation room. If temperature is considered too hot, producers’ tempe will come to factory and open air pentilation. So, the room temperature is back to normal because house of producer’s tempe and tempe factory are separate.Tools used in this study are ESP8266 Module, DHT22, Relay, Power Bank as power, fan and battery. Internet of Things (IoT) is a concept where objects in physical form can be connected and can transfer data through internet network by sensors. The concept of IoT describes every object that can be connected to internet and can be controlled remotely without having to be in that place. With IoT, job will be made faster and easier. The results obtained from the test are if temperature and humidity are above or below of normal temperature (250C-320C), a notification will appear on user's smartphone via Blynk application. If temperature is too hot, fan will turn on automatically. If temperature is too cold, light will turn on. Monitoring data can be viewed on thingspeak in graphical form. Abstract

The development of communication technology between vehicles has grown rapidly in recent years, where vehicle communications consists of vehicle and vehicle to infrastructure. Communication between vehicles uses wireless as the main component for communication thus making it easy for users to get various kinds of information including traffic light information, safety and comfort in driving. Based on Riau police traffic directorate, the number of vehicles in Pekanbaru in 2016 amounted to 83.270 vehicles, with a high population of vehicles causing the risk of accident and congestion in driving was also high. So that communication technology between vehicles is needed, better known as the vehicular ad hoc network, VANET is a wireless communication network that forms an ad hoc network, vehicles that are in the VANET network are called nodes. Nodes contained in VANET move freely and can communicate via wireless. In this scientific paper discuss the topic of performance and simulation of ZRP (zone routing protocol) on VANET in Pekanbaru on hybrid topology using network simulator 2 (NS-2). The method used in this scientific paper changes the number of nodes on the ZRP protocol using the SUMO and NS-2 applications, to see the Packet Delivery Ratio (PDR) performance metrics, End to End Delay and Routing Overhead. The simulation of the ZRP protocol performance analysis results obtained on each parameter are PDR 99.89 %, End to End Delay 0.1308 ms, Routing Overhead 42642 packet.Keywords : ZRP, VANET, Wireless, Topology Hybrid, Pekanbaru

Abstract

Internet of Things (IoT) is a new concept compared to cloud computing. Android applications or websites are used to monitor and control a network of electronic circuits and sensors throughsoftware designed for special purposes without human intervention to control it. With the development of current technology, environmental monitoring has also used the internet of things,including monitoring peatlands. When entering the dry season, peatlands will be vulnerable to land fires. In this study peatland monitoring with the concept of internet of things will facilitatelandowners, landowners or government companies to monitor peatlands. This research will monitor the temperature and humidity above and below the peatlands by using the DHT11 Temperature &Humidity sensor as input, Arduino as a microcontroller, Espressive Smart Connectivity Platform (ESP) as a WI-FI module to connect Arduino to the internet, internet platform of things usingANTARES to display the results of temperature monitoring and peatland humidity.Keywords: android, humidity, Internet of Things (IoT), monitoring, temperature

Abstract

LTE as the top cellular technology at this time has become the reference standard for the success of a user to connect the network. LTE planning with the Multi-RAT access system can optimize the planning of the 700 MHz LTE spectrum in Pekanbaru in the future. Multi-RAT is a technology planning for two or more RAT networks with a shared access system that can improve network performance. Based on the results of network to tracking using Nperf Software, there are many blankspot areas existing condition of Pekanbaru at this time can be said that causes users can not access the cellular network. To validate the success of the users side that connected to the network, then a Monte Carlo algorithm simulation that is run using Radio Planning Atoll Software is needed. Monte Carlo simulation is a probability simulation that analyzes network capacity using a user distribution to test the reliability of network coverage based on a randomization process.The data generated from the Monte Carlo algorithm simulation is connected user persentation and the value of throughput obtained from multiplication of single user throughput with number of active customers. In simulation testing to resulted Multi-RAT connected user is 99.93% of users with a throughput average around 2.968,72 Mbps. On the other side non Multi-RAT connected user is 97.83% of users connected with throughput average obtained at 2,198.1 Mbps. So, it can be concluded that LTE network planning with Multi-RAT technology can be taken into considered for future LTE planning because it produce higher percentage of average value of connected users and throughput.Keywords: LTE, Multi-RAT, Monte Carlo Algorithm Simulation, Connected UserThroughput Value.

Abstract

Quadcopter is one type of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV), it is an unmanned aircraft that has 4 motors and uses several components as controller, namely gyro sensor as balance control, Electronic Speed Controller (ESC) as motor speed control, and GPS compass as position control. Purpose of this paper is to create a quadcopter control system using Glonass and Google maps, to find out and analyze the comparison of coordinate points, by determining the first point on Google Map as a reference point in the form of latitude and longitude, then compared with Glonass by flying quadcopter with variations in points and altitude. After testing, the point results from Google Maps and Glonass are compared on Google Earth by entering latitude and longitude. result is below 1m, variations in trajectories, numerous points, wind, different heights do not affect the results of coordinate points captured by the Glonass. Abstract

Internet of things (IoT) is a concept that connecting any devices in daily life such as: machine, building, or other devices using internet network. One of the application is in the office area. Along with the development of technology, the automatic system in each area like an office is needed and demanded for the employee. Because accessing electronic devices in an office manualy causes lack of comfort and effectiveness in working, so the employee who works needs automatic control of all the electronic devices in the office. In this research, it was made a smart office plan based on the internet that connects to a smartphone as a controller that can control the devices in the office such as a lamp, a fan, and an electric socket. The components that are used namely: A mikrocontroller arduino as a brain in this system, an Espressif Smart Connectivity Platform(ESP) module as the Wi-Fi module, and an Android Smartphone as the controller and status checker of the smart office system. Abstract

Pekanbaru still has poor and unstable network technology obtained from survey results using G-NetTrack Lite Software in 12 Districts, so the needs of network service users are not yet fully covered. Therefore, a motode is needed to solve the problems occurred. By using telecommunications that has high speed and it can serve the needs of service users. Technology that is capable fulfill to these needs and has high speed is Long Term Evolution (LTE). LTE has data transfer speed up to 50 Mbps for uplinks and 100 Mbps for downlinks. In this research network design using Multi-RAT technology is performed, Multi-RAT is a technology that can access more than one network. A in one the Multi-RAT technology can improve signal quality and optimize the network while working simultaneously. Furthermore, to validate the success of users who can connect to the LTE network designed, a Monte Carlo algorithm simulation is needed. Monte Carlo algorithm simulation is a probabilistic simulation solution of a problem given based on a randomization process. In the simulation test, as a result 96.5% of users are connected to the network with 3.082.47 Mbps Throughput value obtained from the Monte Carlo algorithm simulation that was carried out in Pekanbaru. It can be concluded that the design of UMTS Multi-RAT LTE network can be done because the average value of users and throughput connected with a high percentage is obtained.Keywords: LTE, Multi-RAT, UMTS, Monte Carlo Algorithm Simulation
