Abstract

ABSTRACTThe hijab sewing skills training program is seen as a strategic educational skill to be implemented for women because hijab sewing can be applied for their own needs or become a side business. This skill, if properly trained and mastered, can become a form of business that can help the family economy and create jobs for the community. The village community service activities were carried out in Bunsur Village, Sungai Apit Subdistrict, Siak Regency, Riau Province with the target audience is the housewives of the village. They have given basic knowledge in choosing materials for the hijab. Then skills trained was held, starting how to make pet and headscarves, cutting fabrics according to the patterns that have been made, and sewing headscarves with various existing patterns. After the stitches are finished, then an examination of the results of the stitches so that they are suitable for sale and market. Keywords: Bunsur Village, home industry, sewing training, hijab  ABSTRAKProgram pelatihan keterampilan menjahit jilbab dipandang sebagai sebuah skill pendidikan yang strategis untuk dilaksanakan bagi wanita karena menjahit jilbab dapat diaplikasikan untuk kebutuhan sendiri ataupun menjadi usaha sampingan. Keterampilan ini bila dilatih dan dikuasai dengan baik dapat menjadi bentuk usaha yang dapat membantu perekonomian keluarga dan penciptaan lapangan kerja bagi masyarakat. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat desa ini dilaksanakan di Desa Bunsur Kecamatan Sungai Apit Kabupaten Siak Propinsi Riau dengan khalayak sasarannya adalah Ibu-ibu rumah tangga desa tersebut. Mereka diberi pengetahuan dasar dalam memilih bahan untuk jilbab. Kemudian diadakan pelatihan keterampilan, mulai cara membuat pola pet dan jilbab, memotong kain sesuai dengan pola yang sudah dibuat, dan menjahit jilbab dengan bermacam pola yang telah ada. Setelah jahitan selesai, kemudian dilakukan pemeriksaan terhadap hasil jahitan sehingga layak untuk dijual dan dipasarkan. Kata Kunci: Desa Bunsur, home industri, pelatihan menjahit, jilbab

Abstract

The development of Internet supports people to transmit information, such as text, images and other media quickly. However, digital images transmitted over the Internet are very vulnerable to attacks, for examples modification and duplication by unauthorized people. Therefore, cryptography as one of method for data security has been developed. This research proposed a combination of color structure CIELab and key randomization by logistic map from chaos as new cipher in digital image cryptographic applications. Cipher is applied to the encryption and decryption process. Implementation of new cipher in cryptographic digital images application was built with Matlab R2010a. Based on the research that has been done, it was found that combination CIELab and chaos can be applied as a new cipher on the encryption and decryption of digital images for cryptographic applications with processing time less than 1 second. Under possible maximum key range on RGB image by 5,2x 1033, the cipher was sufficiently secure against brute-force attack. Decrypted image has good quality with PSNR greater than 50 dB for digital image formatted in “tiff” and “png”.

Abstract

It require good technique of access point location placement to obtain good level signal. Proper placement of access point can determine the range of coverage area obtained by using parameter from access point. The purpose of this study is to do optimization of access point location placement to reduce blank spot in Engineering Faculty of Universitas Riau. Current scope of Wi-Fi signal coverage area is still not enough to cover all areas in Engineering Faculty of Universitas Riau. There are some adjacent access point locations that needed to optimization to obtain good quality signal and better access point location can be obtained. inSSIDer application is used to identify the Wi-Fi signal strength, Ekahau HeatMapper application is used to identify coverage area, and Ekahau Site Survey application is used to implement optimization. Based on calculation, measurement, and implementation result by using Simple Random Sampling Method can be obtained dominant result of signal strength is ≥-45dBm. It can be determined that causative factors of less optimal from coverage area scope is not only by building construction, but also the placement between access points can also affect reobtained coverage area.Keywords : Access Point, Optimization, Coverage Area, Simple Random Sampling Method.

Abstract

Internet of Things (IoT) has become a separate of field of research since the development of internet technology and other communication media. Internet of Things allows humans to communicate with all devices connected to the internet network. One of the implementation Internet of Things is chicken feed monitoring. In this research will using Loadcell sensor, NodeMCu as a microcontroller and servo motor as an automatic open and close controller. ESP8266 which is already embedded in NodeMCu as a WI-FI module is used to connecting arduino to the internet. The results obtained from this monitoring is if chicken feed is less than 1kg, the servo will open to fill the chicken feed container. Conversely, if the chicken feed is fully loaded 10kg, the servo will be closed again. Keyword: Android, Internet of Things (IoT), monitoring, automatic, chicken feed.

Abstract

Vehicular Ad-Hoc Network (VANET) is a development of the Mobile Ad-Hoc Network (MANET) which makes the vehicle its node. VANET technology is expected to improve driver safety when driving. VANET has network characteristics that change rapidly due to fast node movement. Therefore, VANET requires a routing protocol that is considered suitable and efficient so that sending data packets can take place optimally. This research simulated and analyzed the performance comparison of proactive routing protocol (DSDV), reactive routing protocol (AOMDV) and hybrid routing protocol (ZRP) on VANET in Pekanbaru city. This simulation was carried out using NS-2.35 and SUMO as a mobility generator. Performance is measured using comparison parameters in the form of Packet Delivery Ratio, End to End Delay, and Routing Overhead. The results show that the AOMDV routing protocol is better than Packet Delivery Ratio parameter values with an average value of 99.9%. DSDV routing protocol is better than End to End Delay parameter values with an average value of 0.09 s. While the ZRP Routing Protocol is better than Overhead Routing values with an average value of 0.500. Thus, the protocols have their respective advantages. Abstract

Meetings in an organization are important because meetings means of communication for its organization. Meeting is needed to discuss the agenda or activities to be carried out with members of the organization. The current communication technology supports to hold meeting even in different places. The technology that can be used is web video conferencing. There are two video conferencing web applications that have similar features, Bigbluebutton and Jitsi. This application has a difference in Quality of Service, so a comparison of QOS Bigbluebutton and Jitsi on Ubuntu 16.04 is to make it easier for users to choose effective applications to use.Keywords: Meeting, Video Conference, Quality of Service, Ubuntu 16.04

Abstract

Bandwidth merupakan salah satu hal yang sangat penting dan harus diperhatikan serta dijaga kestabilan operasionalnya. Untuk menjaga jaringan yang stabil, diperlukan pengalokasian bandwidth. Pengalokasian bandwidth memerlukan informasi terkait kapan saja jam sibuk yang terjadi di PT. Industri Kreatif Digital (PT. IKADA), maka dibutuhkan monitoring pada bandwidth server. Proses pemantauan bandwidth server yang dilakukan PT. IKADA belum optimal menyebabkan jaringan yang tidak stabil dikarenakan pembagian bandwidth yang tidak merata. Pengunduhan aplikasi atau file dalam kapasitas yang besar juga dapat menyebabkan gangguan pada pengguna lain yang sedang melakukan pekerjaannya. Maka diperlukan sistem monitoring bandwidth server untuk dapat memonitor dan mengontrol kapasitas penggunaan bandwidth dari server, apabila penelitian ini tidak selesai, maka PT. IKADA tetap dapat memonitor bandwidth seperti sebelumnya. Berdasarkan permasalahan yang telah diuraikan, diperlukan suatu sistem yang memonitoring kapasitas bandwidth guna mempermudah divisi Network Operation Center untuk mengetahui kapastitas bandwidth yang digunakan apakah sesuai atau tidak, maka dalam penelitian ini, akan dibangun Sistem Monitoring Bandwidth Server. Sistem ini akan dibangun dengan menggunakan PHP sebagai bahasa pemrograman dan MySQL sebagai database manajemen. Berdasarkan pengujian yang telah dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode Blackbox Testing dan Whitebox Testing. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa sistem monitoring ini telah berhasil dibuat dan telah sesuai dengan kebutuhan dari PT. IKADA.

Abstract

Penggunaan dan perkembangan teknologi nirkabel sekarang sudah sangat maju dan luas. Salah satu contohnya adalah VANET (Vehicular Ad-Hoc Network), yang merupakan teknologi nirkabel yang dipasang di dalam kendaraan sehingga kendaraan dapat berkomunikasi satu sama lain (V2V) atau dengan infrastruktur (V2I). Tantangan dalam VANET yang muncul akibat pergerakan dan kecepatan tinggi kendaraan dapat diatasi dengan menggunakan protokol routing. Namun, karena ada banyak jenis protokol routing jaringan nirkabel, diperlukan uji kinerja untuk menentukan protokol routing terbaik yang akan diimplementasikan. Penelitian ini berfokus pada pengujian protokol routing GSR (Geographic Source Routing). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah simulasi dan menggunakan perangkat lunak pendukung seperti Openstreetmap, SUMO, dan OMNET++. Evaluasi kinerja protokol routing mencakup parameter Quality of Service (QOS) seperti throughput, end-to-end delay, dan packet ratio. Studi ini melibatkan berbagai skenario yang mencakup perubahan jumlah kendaraan, kecepatan kendaraan, dan keberadaan Road Side Unit (RSU).

Abstract

The increase in the number of vehicles without the development of driving safety technology, tends to create adverse impacts on society, such as a rise in casualties due to road accidents. Therefore, vehicles need information on the condition of the surrounding traffic environment to provide driver with safety. One of the methods used to obtain prompt information between vehicles that move dynamically is communication technology such as Vehicular Ad hoc Network (VANET). VANET has network characteristics that change rapidly due to the highly dynamic node movement. Therefore, it is necessary to choose the right routing protocol for optimal data transmission. In this study, the DSDV (Destination Sequenced Distance Vector), AOMDV (Ad-hoc on Demand Multipath Distance Vector), and ZRP (Zone Routing Protocol) routing protocols were tested using 3 field data scenarios. The first scenario is a variation of the number of nodes 100, 250, 600, and 700 nodes. The second scenario is a variation of the transmission ranges of 250m, 500m, and 1km. The third scenario is the variation of node speeds of 10 km/hour, 20 km/hour, 30 km/hour, 40 km/hour, and 50 km/hour in Pekanbaru city of Riau province. This research was carried out using the simulation method along with the QoS (Quality of Service) performance testing parameters comprising packet delivery ratio, end to end delay, throughput, collision rate, and packet loss. Out of the three scenarios tested, AOMDV is the best routing protocol to be implemented because it outperforms the other two protocol evaluated in all designated scenarios in the paper. Meanwhile, DSDV and ZRP are superior in end to end delay and routing overhead parameters, respectively.
