Abstract

This research is an experimental study with the aim of knowing the effectiveness of the application of the Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP) learning model using the talking stick method and guided discovery. The hypothesis in this study is that the students' mathematics learning outcomes using the Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP) learning method using the talking stick method and guided discovery are more effective than conventional learning models in Class VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Kolaka. The population in this study were all students of class VIII with a total of 275 people. Sampling was done by random cluster so that selected sample is 2 classes, namely VIIIA and VIIIC. Data were collected by means of learning outcomes tests. The results of inferential research using the t-test have obtained a significant value = 0.036 <α = 0.05, indicating that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. This inferential means that there is a significant difference between the mathematics learning outcomes of students taught by the Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP) learning model with the talking stick method and guided discovery and conventional learning models in Class VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Kolaka. From the results of these studies, it can be concluded that the mathematics learning outcomes of students with the application of the Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP) learning model with the talking stick method and guided discovery are more effective than the conventional learning model in Class VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Kolaka.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen, dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) Bagaimana kemampuan berpikir krits matematika siswa pada kelas yang diajar dengan mengunakan model pembelajaran STAD (2) Bagaimana kemampuan berpkir kritis matematika siswa pada kelas yang diajar menggunakan model pembelajran Learning Together (3) Apakah terdapat perbedaan rata-rata kemampuan berpkir kritis matematika siswa yang diajar menggunkan model pembelajaran STAD dan siswa yang diajar menggunakan model pembelajaran Learning Together. Hipotesis dalam penelitian ini adalah terapat perbedaan rata-rata kemampuan berpikir kritis matematika siswa yang diajar menggunakan model pembelajaran STAD dan Learning Together. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Latambaga Tahun Ajaran 2018/2019 yang teridiri atas 4 kelas dengan jumlah keseluruhan sebanyak 94 siswa. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan cluster random sampling. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara random sampling. Teknik analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial.Selanjutnya hasil pengujian berdasarkan pengujian hipotesis: dilakukan statistik uji-t (polled varian) diperoleh , yang berarti  diterima. Dengan demikian, tidak terdapat perbedaan rata-rata nilai secara signifikan anatara kelas eksperiimen I dan kelas eksperimen II. Kata kunci:  Kemampuan berpikir kritis; learning together; STAD Abstract This research is an experimental research, with the aim of knowing: (1) How are students 'critical thinking skills in a class taught using the STAD learning model (2) How are students' critical mathematical thinking skills in a class taught using the Learning Together learning model (3) Are There is a difference in the average critical thinking ability of students who are taught using the STAD learning model and students who are taught using the Learning Together learning model. The hypothesis in this study is that there is a difference in the average critical thinking ability of students who are taught using the STAD and Learning Together learning models. The population in this study were all class VIII students of SMP Negeri 2 Latambaga for the 2018/2019 academic year, which consisted of 4 classes with a total of 94 students. Sampling was done using cluster random sampling. Sampling was done by random sampling. The data analysis technique uses descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. Furthermore, the test resuLearning Togethers are based on hypothesis testing: t-test statistics are carried out (polled variant) is obtained , which mean received. Abstract

This study discusses about mathematical problem solving ability of sudents of SMA Negeri 1 Wundulako, Souteast Sulawesi province. Discussion is done by descriptive and inferential analysis to reveal mathematical problem solving ability of sudents after being taught by cooperative learning model. Results of statistical analysis of the data concluded that the mathematical problem solving ability of students of SMAN 1 Wundulako based on three aspects classified in a good category, but these three aspects have different average. From those three aspects, the average of students are low at problem solving aspect namely choosing and applying strategy to solve model or mathematical problem and out of mathematical problem. However, the learning spirit of students is incrieasing enough when taught with cooperative learning model, of Jigsaw and TSTS types. This condition causes average of mathematical problem solving ability of students which taught with cooperative learning model, Jigsaw type is better than TSTS type or STAD. While inferentially concluded that there is an interaction between cooperative learning model and character behavior of the mathematical problem solving ability.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan tujuan untuk megetahui efektivitas penerapan model pembelajaran Connecting, Organizinf, Reflecting, and Extending (CORE) dengan pendekatan matematika realistik. Hipotesis dalam penelitian ini adalah hasil belajar matematika siswa dengan penerapan model pembelajaran Connecting, Organizinf, Reflecting, and Extending (CORE) dengan pendekatan matematika realistik lebih efektif dibanding model pembelajaran discovery learning  pada siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 09 Bombana. Populasi dalam penelitian ini seluruh siswa kelas XI dengan jumlah 120 orang. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan cluster random. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan cara tes hasil belajar hasil secara inferensial dengan menggunakan uji-t pada taraf signifikan = 0,05 telah diperoleh nilai thitung = 3,055 > ttabel = 1,682 menunjukkan bahwa H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima, secara inferensial ini berarti bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil belajar matematika siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran Connecting, Organizinf, Reflecting, and Extending (CORE) dengan pendekatan matematika realistik dan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning pada siswa Kelas XI SMA Negeri 09 Bombana. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa hasil belajar matematika siswa dengan penerapan model pembelajaran Connecting, Organizinf, Reflecting, and Extending (CORE) dengan pendekatan matematika realistik lebih efektif dibanding model pembelajaran discovery learning  pada siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 09 Bombana.

Abstract

Masalah dalam Penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut: (1) Apakah terdapat pengaruh antara kreativitas terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa kelas X MAN 1 Kolaka; (2) Apakah terdapat pengaruh antara kemandirian belajar terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa kelas X MAN 1 Kolaka; (3) Apakah terdapat pengaruh antara kreativitas dan kemandirian belajar terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa kelas X MAN 1 Kolaka. Hipotesis dalam penelitian ini adalah: (1) Terdapat pengaruh positif yang signifikan antara kreativitas terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa kelas X MAN 1 Kolaka. (2) Terdapat pengaruh positif yang signifikan antara Kemandirian belajar terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa kelas X MAN 1 Kolaka. (3) Terdapat pengaruh positif yang signifikan antara kreativitas dan kemandirian belajar secara bersama-sama terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa kelas X MAN 1 Kolaka. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X MAN 1 Kolaka pada tahun pelajaran 2016/2017 yang berjumlah 196 siswa yang terdiri dari 5 kelas yaitu: X IA1, X IA2, dan X IA3 berjumlah 40 siswa, X IS1 dan X IS2 berjumlah 38 siswa. Dari jumlah populasi tersebut diambil 40 siswa sebagai sampel. Pengambilan data dalam penelitian ini dengan menggunakan instrumen berupa angket kreativitas siswa yang terdiri dari 36 item pernyataan dan kemandirian belajar terdiri dari 28 item pernyataan. Sedangkan dokumentasi digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data prestasi belajar matematika siswa kelas X MAN 1 Kolaka. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa: (1) Kreativitas berpengaruh positif yang signifikan terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa; (2) Kemandirian belajar berpengaruh positif yang signifikan terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa; (3) kreativitas dan kemandirian belajar secara bersama-sama berpengaruh positif yang signifikan terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa kelas X MAN 1 Kolaka. DiMANa hasil hipotesis uji Fhit menunjukkan bahwa Fhitung = 93,621 > Ftabel = 3,25 pada taraf signifikan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi dari program pemerintah terkait dengan penguatan pendidikan karakter (PPK) di SD Negeri Bugangan 03 Watuliandu Kelurahan Watuliandu, Kecamatan Kolaka, Kabupaten Kolaka. Jenis Penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Subyek penelitian adalah kepala sekolah, guru kelas terutama kelas VI, dan siswa kelas VI. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan triangulasi data yaitu observasi, wawancara, dan angket. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan tingkat implementasi penguatan pendidikan karakter yang dijalankan sudah baik. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara yang dilakukan dengan kepala sekolah, guru dan siswa, diperkuat dengan hasil angket yang menunjukan empat nilai utama karakter dikriteriakan membudaya menunjukkan pelaksanaan penanaman nilai karakter sudah berjalan dengan baik. Serta hasil observasi oleh peneliti yang mendukung dua metode lainnya. Adanya pembiasaan yang dilakukan oleh sekolah baik dilaksanakan oleh guru maupun siswa. Program sekolah mendukung adanya penguatan pendidikan karakter. Hal tersebut dapat dilihat dalam proses pembelajaran, ekstrakulikuler, dan kegiatan sekolah lainnya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pemahaman konsep mahasiswa USN Kolaka dalam menyelesaikan masalah persamaan diferensial berdasarkan teori APOS. APOS merupakan suatu teori yang diperkenalkan oleh Dubinsky. Inti dari kerangka kerja APOS  Proses, Objek, dan Skema. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek pada penelitian ini dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, sehingga terpilih 3 mahasiswa aktif dengan kemampuan dasar matematika tertinggi pada angkatan 2020 program studi Teknik pertambangan, FST, Universitas Sembilanbelas November Kolaka. Instrumen utama pada penelitian ini adalah peneliti sendiri dan instrumen pendukung adalah soal tes pemahaman konsep matematika Hasil analisis yang dilakukan terhadap 3 mahasiswa menunjukkan bahwa ketiga subjek memiliki kelemahan pada tahap Proses, dimana subjek A,B, dan C belum mampu dengan benar mengkonstruksi soal yang diberikan, hal ini diduga belum memahami dengan benar konsep Persamaan diferensial dengan variabel yang terpisah, artinya bahwa pada tahap Aksi, Objek, Proses, dan Skema, selain itu subjek A, B, dan C juga belum mampu memahami kriteria soal yang dimaksud.hal ini disebabkan oleh pembelajaran persamaan diferensial yang hanya terpaku pada rumus dan prosedur penyelesaian, selain pemahaman konsep mahasiswa yang berbeda-beda, beberapa mahasiwa juga masih belum begitu memahami dasar-dasar dari konsep dasar turunan, diferensial dan integral.This study aims to analyze the concept understanding of USN Kolaka students in solving equations based on APOS theory. APOS is a theory introduced by Dubinsky. The core of the Process, Object and Schema APOS framework. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The subjects in this study were selected using a purposive sampling technique, so that 3 active students with the highest basic mathematical abilities were selected in the 2020 batch of Mining Engineering study program, FST, Ninebelas November Kolaka University. The main instrument in this study was the researcher himself and the supporting instrument was a test of understanding mathematical concepts. The results of the analysis conducted on 3 students showed that the three subjects had weaknesses in the process stage, where subject A, B, and C had not been able to correctly construct the questions given, this is presumably not yet correctly understand the concept of differential equations with separate variables, meaning that at the Action, Object, Process, and Schematic stage, other than that subject A, B, and C also has not been able to understand the criteria for the question in question. different concepts of students, some students also still do not really understand the basics of the basic concepts of derivatives, differentials and integrals.

Abstract

The problems in this research are: (1) What is the result of learning mathematics in grade VII SMP Negeri 1 Baula taught by type of cooperative methods Numbered Heads Together (NHT)? (2) What is the result of learning mathematics in grade VII SMP Negeri 1 Baula taught by type of cooperative methods Team Games Tournament (TGT)? (3) Are the results of students' mathematics learning kelasVII SMP Negeri 1 Baula taught by cooperative methods with NHT is different with students who are taught by the type cooperative method TGT? The hypothesis in this study are: the results of students' mathematics learning class VII SMP Negeri 1 Baula taught by  cooperative methods NHT type is  different with the students taught with methods TGT. The population in this study was all students of class VII SMP Negeri 1 Baula in the second semester of the 2011/2012 academic year.  Samples taken as many as two classes, namely class VIIc and VIId class. The results showed: (1) The results of students' mathematics learning of class VIIc are taught using cooperative learning NHT type obtained an average value of student learning outcomes at 82.86 and the passing rate of 100%. (2) Results of mathematics learning of class VIId taught using methods TGT obtained average value result of 67.25 and the percentage of students passing rate at 80%. (3) The results of hypothesis test obtained tcount ttable or equal to 3.997 2.02 with df = 39 at significance level α = 0.05. Thus, it can be concluded that there were significant differences in the results of students' mathematics learning that are taught using NHT and IGT methods in the seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 1Baula.

Abstract

TThe purpose of this study are: (1) To determine the ability of mathematical problem solving class X SMA Negeri 1 Wundulako taught using cooperative learning model Group Investigation. (2)To determine the ability of mathematical problem solving class X SMA Negeri 1 Wundulakoyang taught using conventional learning model in teaching trigonometry. (3) To determine whether the mathematical problem solving ability of students taught bycooperative learning model of Group Investigationbetter than mathematics problem solving ability of students taught by conventional learning models in Class 1 Wundulako State XSMA in teaching trigonometry. This type of research used experimental method. The population in this study were all students of class X are scattered in seven classes in parallel with the number of 155 people. Sampling was conducted using random cluster sampling technique. In this study as a sample taken two classes of the population that there is a class X2 as an experimental class and class X4 as the control class. From the results of data analysis showed that: (1) average math problem solving ability X2 grade students taught using cooperative learning model type investigative groups (Group Investigation), which consists of 19 students showed minimum value maximum value 96.00 72.00 , the average (mean)87.0526, median88.00 and mode86.00, With a variance40.608And standard deviation 6.37246, (2 average math problem solving ability X4 grade students taught using conventional learning model which consists of 22 students showed 68.00 minimum value, maximum value 96, 00 average (mean)82.3636, median82,00, and mode82.00, With a variance58.147And standard deviation7.62543, (3) the results of t-test analysis using independent samples t-test obtained t =2.116 on the significant 0,005 α = 0.05then H0 is rejected and H1 accepted. With the rejection of H0, it can be concluded that the increase in mathematical problem solving ability of students taught using cooperative learning model type investigative groups (Group Investigation) is better than math problem solving ability of students taught using conventional learning models.

Abstract

Statistic is one of the branches of applied mathematical science developed by Karl Pearson (1857-1936). Applied statistic is the study of the application of statistical use. Many students think that applied statistic course are difficult, which can only mastered by smart students. Even the students’ anxiety arises every time they are dealing with the applied statistic course. This anxiety due to the acquisition of applied statistic value is generally lower compared to the acquisition of the other course’s value, it is seen that many students who have not been able to solve the problem related to the analysis of one-way varience (One-Way Anova).  This research is done to identify, recognize, analyze, then got a result of research about students’ difficulties in solving the problem of one-way variance analysis. Specifically the purpose of this study is to determine the difficulties that experienced by the students of mathematics education of sembilanbelas November University, Kolaka, in solving the problem of analysis of one-way variance inapplied statistic course, as well as the efforts that can be done to overcome these difficulties. To realize it in this research, the researcher use verifikatif qualitative design to describe the actual situation and verify it, this research tries to describe the actual requirement for the learners of mathematics which of course through the requirement analysis process then verified in order to find an ideal learning design. This research will be conducted in scientific procedures in the academic realm. This research will be carried out at Sembilanbelas November University, kolaka, with active students of Teachers and Education Faculty on mathematics, alumni, and lecturer of Teacher and Education Faculty on mathematics study program will be chosen as informant with purposive sampling technique. In-depth interview, unstructured observation, and dokumen analysis will be pplied as the technique of data collection in this research, while the instruments to be used in the data collection are semi-structured interview guides, observation sheets, and documents. In analyzing the data, the researcher uses content-analysis that systematically and objectively identifies a specific message characteristic. From the results obtained, that there are three types of mistakes made by the students, such as, there are ten students who make a conceptical mistake that is equal to 29,41%, twenty two students or equal to 64,71% who make a mistake in principle, while those who make verbal errors as much as nineteen students or equal to 55,88%.
